Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): Perfect host perfect accommodation and perfect location - It’s beautiful
- Andrew (10/5): Wished we could have stayed longer. The house made you feel comfortable and relaxed - Great quirky but homely place. Right opposite the ocean with beautiful sunrises and sunsets and wonderful for strolling or just relaxing. House well appointed including a pool table and piano.
- Neill (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location with great views
- Tayar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (10/5): Beautiful, Character Filled Accommodation - The charm of this place, has to be seen to be believed! Such whimsical and eclectic pieces fill this home giving it so much character - it was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Comfy beds, salts for the bath, well equipped kitchen, piano to play, pool table, darts and bowling - so much fun to be had! That I only booked 1 night!
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Often, the advertising for getaway accommodation can be deceptive - and not in a good way.
Not at Benny’s Beach House, though.
What you is what you get - and so much more.
Quite simply, the house has it all – an eclectic mix of modern, rustic, and historic charm that boasts three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge space, and a dining and sitting room area with - wait for it - the ocean waves slapping the foreshore just a few metres away.
The large kitchen is well appointed, with all you need to prepare meals – including a wonderful oven.
There is also the welcome bonus of a pool table, with darts and other games for families.
For those seeking “quiet time”, there is a small library with books – several that provide a history of Victor Harbor – that can be read on the swinging chair at the rear or a little nook at the side of the house.
In the evening, we loved having a platter and a cool drink on the front porch and enjoying the free entertainment from the friendly magpies on the lawn.
For those who prefer to dine out, there’s a couple of restaurants a short distance down the street. As well, the The Bluff dominates the vista and well worth the walk or drive.
We can’t praise the owners of Benny’s enough – it’s obvious they’ve put a lot of effort into providing the highest standard. You won’t be disappointed.
- Shelley (10/5): Very good - The location was fantastic with great views over Encounter Bay. The property was very nicely decorated and extremely clean. The hosts were very helpful
- Karen (10/5): Stone, history, design, comfort, nature right by the sea! - A heritage home by the sea in a glorious location! The house is beautifully appointed and very welcoming, and, while it has been artfully decorated, it is also functional and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, the living areas are spacious, the design is a wonderful mix of modern and days past, and the outdoor spaces offer little havens of peace and reflection. The hosts were also very helpful and made every effort for our stay to be a memorable one. And finally, the WiFi worked! Nothing.
