Guest Reviews
- Love to travel (9/5): Great place. Would stay again -
- Silvestro (9/5): Great value and location ☺️ - Great location, very clean and well appointed. Lots of space for us to spread out and relax (6 people in total). The yard was a bit overgrown but since the weather wasn’t great we didn’t use it anyway.
- Josephine (10/5): - We enjoyed the facilities, especially the big living room towards the back of the property. Provided plenty of space for everyone. Not enough toilet paper provided
A bit of dirt and bugs on the floor
- Bishan (10/5): A brilliant stay for a beach vacation, cosy, family friendly and versatile - This was an amazing stay and we are so grateful. The property located perfectly in Port Kembla, which is a fabulous location. The cottage was fully equipped spacious, and clean- and there was even a quality box of chocolates waiting for us on arrival. The interior was cozy, and views of the sea from living room, and a reasonable garden, which was the perfect combo for our kids (also the bunk bed was a hit with our small people). The cottage location was fabulous, walking distance from both of the main beaches, and a stones throw from a popular cafe. We hope to be back again and would highly recommend.
- Sophie (1/5): A week from hell. - We were extremely disappointed with this stay. The property was not as described and fell well below acceptable standards, particularly for a listing advertised as family and pet friendly.
We encountered multiple safety and cleanliness issues, including broken fixtures, cockroaches, dirty dishes and bedding, rubbish left under furniture, and bedrooms without adequate cooling. The backyard was overgrown and not secure — despite being advertised as pet friendly — and our dog escaped through an unfenced area, which was very distressing and unsafe.
We were required to make temporary fixes and clean ourselves. Due to the condition of the property, some members of our group left early to find alternative accommodation.
Overall, the accommodation was not fit for purpose. We would not stay here again.
- Fleming (10/5): A beautiful, family friendly, comfortable beach cottage, close to stunning beaches. - The property was well appointed and very comfortable with easy walking access to beaches and a cute little cafe around the corner
- roberta (3/5): - Comfy bed There was no laundry room
To wash your clothes.
The front yard an backyard needed a Mow
Looked like a forest in the backyard an front too.

- Pip (8/5): Very good -
- Nina (10/5): Beautiful views from the large windows. - Close to 3 beaches. Great for fishing! A peaceful and extremely comfortable older style home - clean and well-appointed.
Beautiful views from the large windows. Easy walk to beaches and great coffee shop.
A very easy commute from sydney.
Great fishing.
Will definitely stay again!
- Dani (9/5): See above - We had a family event and the cottage was perfect - it is an easy work to the Main Street and the fabulous Iron Yampi restaurant and a short stroll to beautiful beaches.
It felt like home away from home ❤️ Nothing
- Browne (8/5): Very good -
- Jerome (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pok (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious living room
Near the beach Facilities are quite old (the barbecue, the washroom)
Only 1 washroom
No dishwasher
- Diane (5/5): Glad I only stayed 2 nights - The location and light filled rooms Broken light fixtures and toilet needs replacing. A bit of tlc would go a long way.
It’s a very old house which is ok, but the things that are broken could easily be replaced.
- Jayson (8/5): House was well presented excellent for the family. We all enjoyed it. - No access to a washing machine.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (8/5): Excellent for our family . Would definitely rebook. -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for a group of six. The location was perfect. I was able to get in early to set up cheese and bubbles for the ladies. Nothing was a problem. The owner kept in contact to address all our needs. The large lounge room was perfect for all of us to laze around together. Would definitely stay again.
- Emma (7/5): Great location with short walk to the beach. Family friendly house with lots of games and books in place for kids. - Short walk to the beach. Great location. Kitchen well stocked for home cooking. Beachy feel. Lack of cleanliness and broken and dirty items Insitu.
- one dirty bath towel with brown stain (hair dye?)
- meat chunks and grease in bottom of oven.
- toilet cistern broken and dirty with sharp edges
- front patio chairs rotting and broken( just chuck them out?)
- back garden over grown
- back window has no fly screen, also large drop below, safety risk with small children.
as a large house with four bedrooms it is helpful to have a washing machine available for use, not having this really disrupted our stay. Not helpful for families with small children.
- Angela (10/5): This was a lovely home away from home. - Very spacious, full kitchen amenities, great location, excellent view. Nothing :)
- Marama (8/5): Great relaxing stay, good location to beaches, dog friendly, easy communication with hosts. - Easy communication with hosts, easy check in and check out. Pet friendly. Close to both dog friendly and not dog friendly beaches so used both options. Shopping centre 5 minutes drive. Cafe around the corner (also dog friendly). Good long driveway fits 3 cars as we did have. Cosy cottage to relax in. Good value for money in comparison to other properties. Yes you can get fancier but for what we needed, a place to hang with the family close to beaches, it was great for our needs.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Great spot right near the beach, really clean and comfortable!!
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Beautiful relaxing stay in Port Kembla! - The cottage is in a fantastic location, really close to the beautiful beach in Port Kembla. It has everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Check-in was super easy and the hosts were easily contacted when I needed them! The cottage has plenty of space and the just living areas are bigger than my entire place in Sydney! The view is great from the living room. It was very clean and comfortable. Great for a family trip or group getaway. Also the cafe nearby is great!
- Julia (9/5): We were very comfy, had everything we need and will definitely be back as we loved our stay! - Great location, friendly and helpful host, bright and open lounge with beautiful views, comfy beds!
- Seton (6/5): Pleasant -
- Louise (8/5): Very good - The location and view over the sea were fantastic!
Walking to the lovely local cafe just around the corner and the beach were added bonuses.
It is a bright and spacious house with plenty of living space for four single adults and a beachy feel
- Ronni (9/5): Superb - Great, beautiful home in a fantastic location. We had trouble with the toilet flushing, otherwise everything else was perfect.
- Brandy (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location! We were there right in the middle of a storm so there was a problem with the front of the house but sash and Brad made sure they had that dealt with straight away! We’d definitely stay again!
- Brooke (8/5): Very good -
- Bishan (10/5): We had a brilliant stay - We had a brilliant stay at this lovely beachside cottage style house. Comfortable bedrooms, functional kitchen, and an amazingly cosy living room with a view. This costal home was a real hidden gem, located in a place with magical vibe, Port Kembla, just south of to Wollongong It was perfect for a family or family gathering with plenty of rooms, and also plenty of activities for the kids, near a fabulous ocean pool, and close to three beaches and a number of cafes. The hosts were very friendly and reliable. We will be back for sure! thank you.
- Brad (10/5): A comfortable beach house close to amenities and some beautiful coastline. - The house is older style but very well appointed and super comfortable. The location is great with some magnificent coastal walks on the doorstep. Overall it is spacious and welcoming. It was a bit difficult getting terrestrial stations running on the TV but I eventually got there running them via Youtube
- Daryl (9/5): Happy and well accommodated. - A lovely house to stay in. Most comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Good king bed, crisp linen, soft pillows. Excellent kitchen and plenty of sharp knives. Good, sturdy saucepans and frying pans that weren’t burnt out, but newish. Very relaxing living room with beautiful views to the sea. A tv with all the streaming services. We were happy and so was our little dog, Bruno. A/C in main bedroom, kitchen and living room very helpful on one hot and humid day. The garden was pretty but in need of a bit of TLC.
- Flores (7/5): Good -
- Willis (10/5): Exceptional - It was like home away from home, was so roomy and comfy, hubby in a wheelchair 80% of time plenty room for him, would recommend this to anyone, will stay again
- Catherine (3/5): Poor -
- Brad (10/5): Beachside holiday haven in a very special pocket of the Illawarra - My daughter and I had a wonderful stay, the beaches are in walking distance and offer great swimming and surfing options. There is a local cafe around the corner serving good food options and coffee and the surrounding natural attractions are world class. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area A more modern kitchen would enhance the experience but it is totally adequate for a short stay
- Jan (8/5): Comfortable and enjoyable. Close to the beach and we enjoyed our stay. - Location was within easy walking distance of two beaches. Aircon in main bedroom did not work
- Chan (3/5): Uncomfortable and old place to stay in. Need a flip. - Nothing I like about this place. Very disappointed. The place are dirty from garage to the laundry room downstair. Pots and pans are dirty. Spider web everywhere in the house. Alot of houseflies. Floor is sticky.
- Julie (10/5): Totally enjoyable quite and well presented - Nice property good location N/A
- Elisa (9/5): Great family home and space to hang out. - Comfy beds, space & kitchen area
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect weekend away destination - Great view! Walking distance to the beach and pool. Lovely local cafe right around the corner! Amazing location! Super close to Wollongong. Spacious and generous house. Garden was beautiful. Peaceful and tranquil neighbourhood .
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alicea (9/5): Superb - The house, bed linen and towels were very clean.
Had a beautiful view of the water.
- Tracy (10/5): Beautiful home and area and lovely owner of the property. - Port Kembla is close to Warrawong and both areas have nice places for breakfast but there is also a nice view from the home.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others and stay again. thank you. Nothing
- Vinkit (7/5): Good -
- Sophya (8/5): Worth it + made a friend(?) - Great value for money & location + house was gorgeous. Lovely drive to the house. Didn't go to the beach but could have! Easily. Big cockroach was there. No bug spray, but we bought a can of that & left it there for future tennants. Cockroach is still alive (it hid from all the whole time except for the first night) and that seems fair enough because it was at the house before us and earned the right to live there even after we left.
- Jake (10/5): comfortable and spacious house in a quiet location - very comfortable with great amenities and lots of space. nice and bright
