- Julie (7/5): Mega dejligt ophold, kan stærkt anbefales! - Mega hyggeligt og privat sted, personalet er super flinke og hjælper gerne med anbefalinger og arrangeret ture på øen. De hjalp os med at booke en snorkeltur som var mega god!!! Vi kom på Gili for at bade, sole, snorkle og afslapning. Solsengene og poolen på stedet er i skygge næsten hele dagen, hvilket vi var lidt ærgerlige over. Badeværelset var meget fugtigt og vi havde svært ved at komme af med lugt derudefra.

- Josh (8/5): Really enjoyed my time at Rumah Singa, wish I was able to stay longer! - Communication was great via WhatsApp and in person. Super easy to rent bikes or order breakfast. Udis was a pleasure to deal with. Clean drinking water was provided free of charge which was one less thing to worry about. The sun beds would dig into your back after a while, they also didn’t lie flat so you couldn’t lay on your stomach if you wanted too.

- Liz (8/5): I was a solo traveller and found it just a little too quiet for me ie felt quite lonely! But definitely is a very good o - Location was fabulous. The staff were outstanding. I would prefer for tea and coffee in the rooms and really missed not having a little cafe there!
- Amelia (8/5): Such a great place but... - Fantastic location on Gili Air with a super friendly team who went above and beyond to assist when our boat was cancelled after check out. The private outdoor pool was a highlight, as were the multiple spaces for rest and relaxation after big days out and around the island. It needs to be clearer in the description that despite the Happiness Team being on call and family-friendly collateral, this is not really a villa with daily service (other than the pool) as is the case for others on Gili and in Indo. Inside and patio housekeeping is "on request" due to "privacy" and "eco" reasons - but even when requested (just sweeping due to the dirt that gets everywhere from the island's unpaved roads and monsoon mud, quick bathroom wipe and bins emptied) - it didn't happen consistently. Looking to relax for a week - it was a bit of a down point to have to consider each day whether we'd be judged against the ethos of the place if we asked for what would be standard at most other accommodation facilities - noting also there are no supplies to DIY clean or throw rubbish so we couldn't even do a quick tidy ourselves. We were also told towels could not be changed with the daily frequency needed during the monsoon season. The team said they only had two sets to use and couldn't line-dry them between changes (other locations use tumble dryers) so we made do with damp/smelly towels due to inadequate ventilation and drying space with only a couple of changes during our six-day stay. We got to the point where we were supplementing with our own travel towels and sending them to a local laundry for washing and tumble-drying ourselves, which kind of defeated the purpose of staying in a place that appeared in the description and at check in to be so well-equipped. We know the owners pride themselves on offering this holistic retreat and I'm sure it works well during the dry season where towels could be hung outside or for others who maybe aren't staying for long periods or need privacy inside for other reasons. The other facilities and team are fabulous, but just something to be aware of for those travelling during the wet and muddy time of year.

Molto riservata e privata, ideale se si vuole stare in un posto intimo. La stanza è bellissima, grande, curata nei dettagli, con lozione corpo, shampoo, conditioner, bagno schiuma, asciugamani di vario genere a disposizione. Molto pulita. Racchetta per le zanzare e antizanzare molto apprezzati. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibili ma non invadente. La piscina è molto carina. La cucina è a disposizione e questo per noi è stato un punto a favore. anche l'acqua potabile è messa a disposizione. Siamo stati solo 3 giorni e purtroppo non abbiamo avuto occasione di provare le loro colazioni speciali, che potete ordinare la sera prima mandando un whatsapp o altri servizi che mettono a disposizione. Siamo stati molto felici e soddisfatti di soggiornare presso questa Villa per il mio compleanno, non sceglierei nessun'altra Villa sull'isola. Anche la posizione è strategica per il traghetto, non è nella via centrale ma molto vicina per cui ti permette di stare nella tranquillità e nel silenzio ma di muoverti completamente a piedi anche con i bagagli quando arrivi al traghetto. - Roy (10/5): - The villa was great, one of the workers welcomed me with a refreshing drink. He explained me all I needed to know about my stay and my accommodation. I had all I needed, especially for cooking (I cooked my own meals in the kitchen-bar). Also the location was great, not far from the port, and a bit hidden and quiet. Also the mosque was not too near so it wasn’t that loud. In addition, the place was very close to the beach (anyway the island is small) I specifically was alone and I had the villa for myself (there are only 2 rooms in the villa) so it was a bonus. As for my experience, I really enjoyed and had a relaxing experience. If I would ever come again to Gili Air I would easily go to Villa Rumah Singa again.

- Amelyn (10/5): Gili Air, bonita estadía ! - Todo súper bien! El sitio está bien ubicado , a unos 8-10minutos andando del puerto , y a unos 3 minutos de la playa! Nos sentimos muy agustos, nos recibieron con una bebida de bienvenida y el staff ha sido muy amables con nosotros. Como el lugar , solo cuenta con dos apartamentos , sientes mucha privacidad en el hotel y en la piscina . Se duerme muy bien ! Las mezquitas no se escuchan desde el hotel. Nosotros alquilamos las bicis en el hotel y son la mejor opción para recorrer la isla! Nada, por el precio lo vale!

Everything is a walkable distance away. We received immediate support for all our requests, including snorkelling, bike rental, and laundry. Staff was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

- Mcgloin (9/5): Loved it - The breakfast, pool, rooms, location and staff were amazing! If they weren't at the property they replied on Whatsapp within minutes. I loved my stay there! I did most of the treatments and they were all good but the first I did with Cat was the best and had a breakthrough - recommend! Being able to use my card - they're on their way to being cashless like most of the island though! I do feel like they couldve asked me to do a review less, hearing it everyday from day one took away from being there but they deserve nice reviews and they're new so i get it. WOULD STAY AGAIN FOR SURE!
- Carolyn (10/5): Relaxing comfortable and friendly with the sounds of horses hooves, water lapping at the beach, prayers and island vibes - Although we found the muddy puddles with the wet season on Gili roads a little perturbing on our way to the villa (pulling suitcases and not having travelled much for a few years) and the power went out a few times as apparently happens on Gili, within 24 hrs we were feeling very ‘at home’ staying at the villa. The rooms were comfortable and the water, breakfast and welcome drink were lovely, as was the pool. Staff were very helpful and friendly and recommendations for where to visit on the island were great. We were thankful for thoughtful extra things like mosquito nets on the bed and racquets to zap them. We had fun on the bikes and recommend the new Greek restaurant down on the beach nearby. Thankyou for arranging our transfers. Mahana Vihendra was a good boat. Our trip over was very smooth but the ride back was quite rough. It was Ramadan while we were there and although many locals were fasting the shops were open throughout the day. Broadcast prayer would be a little loud if right next to the mosque but Rumah Singa was a while away. We loved swimming with a turtle and spa treatments. The island was a wonderful place to slow down and zone out from the rest of the world.
- Kenneth (7/5): Beautiful room, although I expected more of the accomodation itself - Super beautiful and clean room, well equipped. Close to the harbour (walk by foot is perfectly possible even with more luggage) We were a bit underimpressed with the “Holistic healing retreat”. Expecting a larger place with a ceremony room to potentially participate in all kinds of activities, but that wasn’t the case at all. Perhaps it was my mistake, but as the room was in the somewhat higher price range, I did expect more of it to be honest.

Everything you might need to use during your stay it’s there, and If there’s not, the staff will be always ready to help you and more. They were asking my check out time too many days in advance. - Hajnalka (10/5): Perfect villa to stay in Gili Air 🤩😍💚🌱 - Everything was perfect🤩🤩🤩 I highly recommend this villa because its in very good location, near to everything, to the beach, beautiful stuff, house and garden, and the whole villa is really nice, amd clean also😊 I very loved the bathroom🛀 Every morning they prepare water and juice for free🍋 I got sick in Gili Air and the owner, Catarina helped us and came to us, and stay with us. She was very helpful and it was becalm. Everything was perfect🥰
- Андрей (10/5): Exceptional - We were very pleased with our stay at the villa. Very good location, 100 meters from the beach with corals. The villa itself has two rooms. We lived in a one-room, the second room is a family room with two bedrooms. Good soundproofing and we did not hear the neighbors and morning chants from the local mosque. The room had everything you need and it was felt that the owners treated the equipment with soul. Linen and towels are clean and new. In the shared kitchen there was always tea and coffee, as well as a delicious drink. I really liked that the villa has a space upstairs where it is nice to lie down with a book or just meditate. The pool is very cozy and clean. The staff was very tactful and carefully cleaned the area every day. The rooms are cleaned upon request. I really liked that there is a common chat for the guest and the owners of the villa - all issues that arise can be resolved very quickly.

They thought of everything and were very attentive - I felt very relaxed and it felt like home for a few days.. thank you for a lovely stay! They have fresh delicious juice in the fridge every day which was a nice touch and it was very clean! It was perfect for me - out of all the options on the island I have no doubt this is amongst the highest standard! I didn’t like that I had to leave *cry*

- Natalya (10/5): Exceptional - Villa rumah singa was hands down the best place I’ve had the privilege of staying at in Indonesia. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with friendly staff who made sure to show me everything they have to offer at this retreat center and gave me a thorough walk through of the villa. The hosts were so responsive at any questions I had and provided so many good recommendations and activities to do on the island - aside from the healing sessions they offered. The room itself was filled with healing energy - even had yoga mats, which as a yoga teacher I appreciated greatly!! The character of this retreat center is full of good vibes, it’s in a quiet part of the island that truly helps facilitate the beautiful holistic offerings they have. I was able to book a private breathwork session and felt so safe and supported through the journey. There was a beautiful open air canopy upstairs above my room that was the best place to have some tea and read a book in between the breathwork session and the cacao ceremony I attended in the evening! What a way to spend a day. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was quality and top notch. I felt so taken care of! Thank you for a fantastic retreat in paradise!!
- Chelsea (10/5): Beautiful tranquil villa and retreat spot!! - Rumah Singa Villa is an oasis for the soul! When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the staff and offered fresh pressed juice. Our villa became our sanctuary for the next few days and it was equipped with everything we could desire. The garden and the pool were so tranquil - very well maintained. We decided to book a cacao ceremony on our first night, an extraordinary experience that fostered a profound connection within ourselves and with one another. We woke up the next morning, strolled to the beach and watched the sunrise over the mountains of Lombok. The mama cacao bowl is the most decadant breakfast I’ve ever had!! Our villa had a private open air chill out space, overlooking the tree tops… the perfect place to connect and unwind. This is so much more than a villa, it’s a sacred space where serenity and beauty intertwine - it is a gift to the spirit!
- Jesse (10/5): Peaceful and secluded - The villa is peaceful and has everything you need for a relaxing stay on Gili Air. Kat and everyone who works there are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and all your needs are met. I was working remotely and the wifi connection was strong with lots of nice places to work from.
- Cassie (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing time at the retreat! The staff were lovely and very accomodating of our two small kids. So close to Padangbai but felt like it was far away from the busy streets. Lovely to experience a rural area.
- Visser (10/5): Amazing place to stay - We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect: quiet area and just a few walking minutes away from the beach and restaurants. The room was big, very clean and comfortable. Also, inside the room we never heard the prayers from the mosque. Good facilities such as the pool. And last but definitely not least: the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend this 100%! Nothing at all
- Dmitri (8/5): Lovely - The location is great. The hosts are very nice, pleasant and helpful. There's a bar with drinks and even some food outside that you can use through the day. The pool is amazing. The villa itself is really good and comfortable. Overall, you can expect everything that's shown on the photos. The beach is very close and it's good. Restaurants nearby and basically everything you need for a great time. 1. Only one of 2 showers had hot water. I understand it's hot outside and some people might want to take cold showers. I'm not one of them. So as a company of 4 we had to take turns to use the shower. 2. Hot water in the only working shower was limited. First day we did not know that and ladies were enjoying themselves under the hot streams, and as the last one in the queue I had to take a cold shower in the end. 3. In our room the air conditioner was blowing right into our faces. Fine for me, not fine for my girlfriend - we had to move the bed a little so it blows behind us. 4. There were power cut offs. So the air conditioner was not working from time to time. I believe it's something common for Gili. Perhaps water issues are connected to that as well.

- Elise (10/5): Best villa in the Gili islands - We really enjoyed our stay at Romah Singa. The villa is absolutely stunning, and has a perfect location. Our host Alexander was very hostile and made our stay amazing. Would absolutely recommend❤️
- Patrycja (10/5): Exceptional - The place is great. I really like the energy of the place and owner also as the people who work there. Everybody were helpful and smile all the time. We feel really like home there. Place is close to harbour which is great when you have big language and you can her the mosque only if you are outside but even then is not to loud. If we come back to gili air for sure we stay in Alexs place ! Personally for me I like when the place have sunlight without need to have open door but is just a personal thing nothing bad about the place. I know it's the thing to avoid the heat so we choose it knowing about it :)

- Corne (10/5): If you're thinking of Gili Air, stay here! - Alex was the perfect host, helping us with travel arrangements and meeting us at the harbour. RumahSinga is perfectly located near the best swimming beach (if you can drag yourself away from the awesome private swimming pool!) Alex had great tips for where to go on the island. The villa is one of the best I've stayed in. Highly recommend it if you are planning a visit to Gili Air. Nothing. Everything was great! Every need catered for.
