• Dawid (9/5): A cozy and relaxing stay that felt like visiting family upstate. - It felt warm, peaceful, and very welcoming — almost like visiting family upstate. The atmosphere was cozy, the property had a lot of character, and it was a perfect place to relax There was nothing I truly disliked — the place has an old-fashioned style, which actually added to the cozy upstate experience

• Joy Marie (9/5): Lovely home for a beautiful weekend. - I was attending a wedding at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY. The residence was within walking distance. It was extremely convenient. It was my first time sharing accommodations with the owner present. Felt a bit strange but Craig was very kind, accommodating, and generous. We enjoyed our conversations with him and his neighbor, Joe. He offered wonderful recommendations for activities, wineries and restaurants.
• Apostolakos (3/5): Not going there again - Location It was advertised as a hotel and had a sign as a hotel, but the owner was actually a house and the owner was living in the house, and the bathroom was shared with two other rooms. The ad was misleading, and another couple that was there had the same impression.

• Webb (10/5): Fallen Tree is excellent, I will be back for sure! - Craig was so welcoming, helpful, and warm. As mentioned in other reviews, offering their electric bikes which were premium- allowed is to enjoy the local bike trails. Love the all day coffee, back patio for outside yoga and wineries in the area.
• Mr.ofer (10/5): Exceptional - First of all the apartment is shiny and clean. The apartment is very special in its ancient design but very modern in systems, Google in every room, televisions, Xbox console...smoker, barbecue, pit fire and more. The owner of the apartment received us, gave us a tour of the house and showed the place (outside is amazing). Just perfect. I have nothing to mention

• Patrick (8/5): Very good - The host was very kind and helpful. This is a family's home. Rooms upstairs have been converted into hotel rooms. This was not what I expected.. If you are comfortable staying in a strangers home this is a really nice place. However, we never expected to be staying in someone's home. I should have done more research, perhaps, but the ad for this location should more clearly state under what conditions you will be staying in when here.

• Marj (9/5): A lovely place as a base to explore the Finger Lakes! - fallen Tree is a lovely inn. We had trouble finding it since we had no GPS. A larger sign placed closer to the road and at a right angle to the house would have helped. The host was very sociable and kind. Use of a washer and dryer was appreciated. No one was home when we arrived. Apparently instructions for us on how to access the room was sent to Booking.com but were not forwarded to us. This caused us some anxiety after a long day of driving from Maine.
• Oehler-marx (10/5): Comfortable stay for three generations of our family! - Craig met us at the house and gave us a thorough orientation. He and his wife have thought of everything a traveler could need. Comfortable and clean! I have no suggestions for improvement!
• Tammie (10/5): Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - I was incredibly sick all weekend--a cold I'd picked up before traveling progressed to bronchitis--and spent two full days in bed taking everything the urgent care told me to. The king bed in the Master suite is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and I absolutely recommend it. Could not have picked a better bed to be miserable in. (I do not recommend the bronchitis). The staff were also incredibly sweet and helpful when I did emerge from the room. Highly recommend.

• Thomas (10/5): Perfect location to stay a couple of days on the lakes. - Pretty much everything - location, hosts. Craig and his wife are great hosts. Provided tips on what to do and we could use their almost new e-bikes (for free!) to explore the area. Perfect way to get around in the vineyards. Only 5 minute drive to Geneva. Great value for money, you probably won't find a better place in the area. Its a home stay, so don't expect it to be hotel like (this could be bad or good ;) Room is a little small, but you can use all the facilities in the house and the yard
• Angie (10/5): Convenient, well kept and responsive! - The location was perfect for a wedding we were attending over the weekend. Everything was well prepared with easy instructions. Owners were responsive over messaging while we were there with a couple of questions. Also found my daughters bathing suit and will be sending back our way. Lovely place to stay near Seneca Lake.
• William (10/5): A perfect visit to the Finger Lakes - My husband and I spend a week around the Finger Lakes. The Fallen Tree Inn was perfect. The hosts were extremely gracious, the home was very clean and filled with lovely accents, the location is right off Lake Seneca and all the lakes were easily accessible. Craig and Christine (hosts) even took us out on the lake with their boat to try some fishing. Our evenings were spent around the outdoor fire pit, with lively discussions and a good wine.
• Lucien (9/5): We shall return! - Well located. Hosts are incredibly friendly, generous, and well informed on local attractions and restaurants. Room was very comfortable. It would have been better if we could have stayed a few more days!
• Brenda (10/5): Our dog was very at ease and comfortable, which means we were too! - The owners were so welcoming, accommodating, and generous with their warm hospitality. The house was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was obvious that small details were paid attention to both aesthetically and functionally in the rooms and in the shared spaces. It is an excellent location for a well-behaved dog, and has a large open area to run beyond the back yard. It would be nice to have a bit more space for turning around in the parking area, as it is difficult to back out onto the main road.

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were well equipped. The toilet broke and the owner immediately came over to fix it. House was very cluttered. All the tables, dressers and bureaus were covered with dishes and ornaments - there was nowhere to set anything down. The refrigerator was full of food and there wasn’t enough space to put our food. There were no instructions on where to put the garbage and the can filled up quickly with 6 people staying for 3 days.

Lovely back yard with busy bird feeders, antique seating areas in the common room, very comfortable beds and a variety of chocolates throughout the house, which sits directly” across from Seneca Lake. The hosts love life, and are fascinating to converse with. We actually miss them!😊
