Guest Reviews
- Vargas (10/5): - Everything was great.
- Shannon (10/5): -
- Torres (7/5): - The checkout was too early. I was unable to have breakfast. Other than that it was a nice stay. Checkout time. Too early.
- Steve (9/5): - Clean, comfortable room. The staff was friendly. Complimentary water bottles in the room. Alarm clock with a power strip and USB ports to power your devices.
- Petr (9/5): -
- Lydie (8/5): Parfait - Hôtel très confortable et très propre et la propriétaire est très gentille et très serviable.
- Russell (10/5): -

- Marnie (10/5): A comfortable room, warm and inviting, even a light breakfast muffin and tea. - Wonderful reception and great people at the reception desk. Nothing disappointed me.
- Sherri (8/5): I enjoyed walking around the property down to the river. - I love the location near the river and near to our destination (a class). Our allergies were going crazy and the tissues were not helpful. The mattress was starting to wear on each side. My husband and I both had problems rolling to the edge.
- Christina (8/5): Generally very pleasant and super convenient. - Convenience to my destination. Quiet. Peaceful. Extremely strong chemical odors from cleaning agents. Made my eyes burn. I had to open the window and door to get fresher air. Not a good choice for persons with environmental allergies. Could trigger a reaction.
- Bernard (7/5): Bien -

- Kurt (10/5): Awesome! - excellent breakfast! location great!
- Harold (8/5): - Needed special instructions on how to operate the door key. It should be fixed to work like most people expect a door lock to work. I would have liked more low carb options for breakfast.
- James (9/5): The hotel served us well for our stay. -
- Michael (8/5): -
- John (8/5): It served our purpose. Staff was very friendly. - It was adequate The Air conditioning was difficult

- Diane (10/5): Family Adventure - My Granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay here. We drove from Las Vegas, NM to Chama the drive was pretty! The room was very clean, we had a good night sleep 😴. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend your Lodge to family and friends. Thank you very much for a memorable stay! I really can't think of anything, we had a great time and a great stay at the Lodge. We were there for the Scenic Railroad trip.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Loretta (10/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): pleasant surprise! - Good breakfast
- Rachel (10/5): - The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this lodge.
- William (8/5): We had a very pleasant experience at the lodge and would definitely stay there again. - We loved the folks who operated it and the atmoshere was exactlt what we wanted ,,,,that western feel. Breakfast was the only thing I was disappointed with. It was continental after all but it could/should have been better.
- Jean (10/5): Great stay great time and we will come again - The breakfast was simple but very nice and just perfect Everything was fine
- Jennifer (9/5): - Location was close enough to train station. Far enough out of town it was quite. Room & bathroom was clean!
- Relon (10/5): -
- Laura (9/5): - Lovely hotel with very nice staff! Nothing bad to say, experience was great!
- Gary (8/5): We were there only one night so we may have adjusted better if we stayed longer. - The mini bagels were dry and hard. Probably old. The other stuff was good and I like the Simply juices so that was good. The grounds were clean and well maintained with grills and tables out back. The ac units were noisy enough to keep waking us up during the night and I ended up awake from 4am on even after I shut the ac off.

- Olena (10/5): -
- Fabian (10/5): - Clean, great lighting, best continental breakfast we've ever had.
- Brian (8/5): Great budget accomodation, but limited evening meal options in Chama. NO onsite restaurants complicated the lack of eve - Comfy rooms and helpful staff Basic breakfast no onsite restaurant
- Tina (10/5): Stay here, an unexpected gem. - Very clean, beautifully appointed. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choices, very lovely, pleasant breakfast room. Staff was friendly, attentive.
- Daniel (7/5): - Breakfast which was included should have been available earlier for those guests who were boarding the Cumbres & Toltec RR in the morning.
- Kimberly (8/5): We had a very nice stay. - Clean, safe, nice staff and room. The Mattress was very hard.
- Graham (8/5): Best motel I've stayed at in Chama. - A good motel with a very clean and well kept room. The breakfast is quite basic but certainly adequate.
- Brown (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Great place to stay if you are doing the Chama Train. - Comfortable bed. Free continental breakfast. Good location. Walls were a little thin, could hear people next door.
There are almost no restaurants open for dinner. Come prepared!
- Kanda (10/5): - Very clean and peaceful. Nothing
- REBECCA (10/5): Highly recommend - The atmosphere, the location, cleanliness and staff were friendly! Nothing
- Dudley (10/5): -

- cathy (10/5): Lovely location with well equipped rooms, very clean and great staff. - The owner was very gracious and helpful, provided a nice breakfast with little touches here and there that give the impression that they cared a lot about their guests. All good.
- Terry (8/5): - very clean, good location in pretty area. rural. deer grazing on lawn when departing.
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Britt (10/5): -
- Harold (9/5): -
- Kepple (8/5): -
- Holly (10/5): Very relaxing and refreshing. - Owners and staff were very nice. Room smelled clean and was clean. The traffic noise
- Terri (5/5): not to bad for an older property - for an older building it was ok. Everything was very small.
- Gail (8/5): If we're in the area again we would stay here. - We were in Chama to ride the Cumbres Toltec Railroad, only a 4 minute drive from the lodge. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave, which was convenient due to most of the local restaurants being closed on a Thursday evening in October. There is a grocery store about two minutes away. The breakfast was adequate: yogurt, instant oatmeal, cold cereal, bagels, cream cheese, fruits, fruit juices, and pastries. Very friendly staff. I thought the bed was very comfortable, but my husband did not, so I guess it's just preference.
- Sue (7/5): -
- Douglas (8/5): - The Continental breakfast was better than a lot of breakfast included in hotels. Nothing really fancy but at least yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh juices, a variety of danishes.
- Timothy (10/5): The staff were excellent, great location and quiet, very good breakfast. - The staff were excellent, great location and quiet, very good breakfast.
- Robert (8/5): Good value for the money -
- chris (8/5): Great place to stay! - Comfortable and clean No shampoo
- Jon (9/5): Nice place& nice people. They care about the place -
- William Thomas R (8/5): - The property was comfortable and nicely appointed. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The sink drained a little slowly. The “continental” breakfast was insufficient. They had real half-and-half for our coffee, but the rest of the food was of low quality.
- King (10/5): Enjoyable stay , thank you -
- Karen (10/5): - Chama NM is a little hole in the wall BUT it's also where you catch the Cumbres and Toltec railroad so rather than getting up so early we decided to stay overnight. Our expectations were VERY LOW, but we were BLOWN AWAY by how absolutely PERFECT this little hotel was! Everything was terrific!
- Johan (5/5): -
- CHRISTOPHER (9/5): -
- Kathleen (10/5): Great Chama experience - Wonderful staff. Nice, simple continental breakfast - perfect for those riding the train. So clean! Lovely picnic area in the back.
- Holli (10/5): Was wonderful and in a great location - Clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The bathroom was incredibly tiny!!!! No AC other than a portable one that didn’t keep up
- Paul (9/5): Del Rio Lodge is definitely a repeater for any future lodging in the Chama area - Quiet and restful. One of the best motel rooms I’ve ever stayed with good lighting in room, not dark. The furniture was made by a skilled woodworker, very nice touch. Mattress too soft
- Ricky (10/5): - Great hide a way
- JACQUES (8/5): Etablissement placé dans un site agréable et reposant. - Site agréable. Chambre lumineuse. Petit déjeuner quelque peu perfectible. Rien de particulier.
- Joseph (7/5): Overall was good we will be back - Very nice and clean
Friendly people Mattresses need replacing
- Robert (7/5): Suited our needs - Friendly staff. Quiet.
- Richard (10/5): Perfect small town motel. - Friendly staff, absolutely immaculate rooms. I have no issues whatsoever with the lodge. Just keep in mind that dining options and other amenities are pretty slim in Chama.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Lorinda (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean comfortable room.
- Harrower (10/5): It was wonderful and very relaxing!! - Host was amazing! This is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and the owner and staff are all helpful and extremely friendly!! Would stay there again and highly recommend!! Other guests smoking outside our door and next door guests always parked in 1 1/2 spots leaving limited parking for others.
- JEFFERY (9/5): Very nice place in a very small town. Would stay here again. - Very quiet location and welcoming staff - very good breakfast! On motorcycles so not a big fan of the gravel entryway and parking.
- Peter (9/5): Ein angenehmer Aufenthalt! - Die Anlage ist sauber und gepflegt. Auch der Außenbereich mit Grillplätzen ist großzügig angelegt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.
- Krieves (9/5): -
- Edward (9/5): -
- WENDELL (10/5): Spotless and comfortable, friendly and professional. Couldn't ask for more! - Breakfast met expectations. Excellent location for the scenic railroad. The property and room were spotless! Host was welcoming and staff were helpful with our questions about nearby laundromat and restaurants. The breakfast cereal options were limited to children's cereals.
