• Brent (10/5): Unique, spacious and well stocked Yurt - very comfortable and clean. Amazing location. - The Yurt and location exceeded our expectations. It was a great set up - well organised and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed. There was an amazing outdoor shower, and we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in the evenings. The beach was handy and great for swimming. Emily was a helpful and accommodating host. Nothing really.

• Gino (10/5): Wonderful experience, relaxing, romantic, would do it all again. - It was clean, inviting and everything you could possibly need was in the yurk. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There was nothing I can say that we disliked. We were on our Honeymoon and was just perfect, it was a bit of a trek up a gravel road, but absolutely worth it, to top it all we had the beach a few yards from us which was totally empty so had it all to ourselves. There was a fire pit outside which was just perfect for a romantic evening. We want to return for an anniversary at sometime.
• Gytha (10/5): The perfect place! - We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. Everything about this place is perfect. A beautiful, peaceful location: private, directly at the beach, lovely garden, birds chirping, and close to very nice walks. The Yurt itself: thoughtfully designed, clean, very comfortable, perfect bed. All the lovely details throughout: from the great tea and coffee to the ecofriendly products and the private outdoor bath under the stars. Incredible hosts: warm, welcoming and genuinely caring❤️. We stayed for four nights and would happily have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special and relaxing place to stay.

The owners were very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed to make our stay perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone who just wants to get away from it all. Nothing loved it

• anne (10/5): Een heerlijk verblijf, vlakbij zee, ik kan het iedereen aanraden - Dit is een prachtige locatie, als je helemaal even alleen wil zijn. Het is 50 stappen naar de zee, en die heb je dan ook meteen helemaal voor jezelf. The yurt is comfortabel en heel erg goed te doen voor een paar nachtjes. Je kan lekker eigen vuurtje maken en er is een barbecue. Voor ons was het helemaal geweldig, we hadden een nacht slecht weer, maar dat maakt helemaal niet uit. Je bent op een van de prachtigste plekken van Nieuw-Zeeland.

• Brigitte (10/5): - Pā Tōrea is an absolute gem of a spot! The yurt is SO cool as is the outdoor bath/rain shower. The kitchen set-up is great (fridge, small freezer compartment, all cooking essentials, BBQ etc.) and the breakfast items on offer were more than sufficient. The yurt and grounds were very tidy and comfy and also quiet and secluded. It was lovely being able to listen to the birds and waves in the evening and morning. The huge beach is also great and a fab spot for birding. The location is very handy as it's very close to Collingwood and the Mussel Inn and close enough to use as a base for places such as Takaka, the Whanganui Inlet, and Farewell Spit. Emily & Grant are both super friendly and chill and were very helpful and nice to talk with. I can't think of any negatives to say and definitely want to return. Nothing!

• Janet (10/5): The best glamping experience ever. - Everything was very clean and tidy. Everything you might need was provided for a comfortable and stress-free stay. The outside hot tub, complete with fairy lights, was gorgeous. There was no microwave but the electric hot plates and pots and pans were very adequate. The BBQ outside was the best.
• Tracey (10/5): An exceptional stay in a beautiful yurt, made extra special by the thoughtfulness and creative flair of the hosts. - We loved the beautiful natural surroundings right by the beach. The Yurt was the most tranquil and comfortable place to stay with every thing we needed plus delicious welcome treats on our arrival. There was clear information to help us settle in and friendly suggestions of places to visit and where to meet the locals. Oh and the outdoor bubble bath is not to be missed. We can’t wait to return. • Karen (9/5): Superb - It was a yurt. Really wanted to stay in one and this was lovely. From the big comfy bed to the sparkling interior fairy lights it was delightful. Toilet and shower a few steps away. Outside bath to watch the stars from. Breakfast goodies and little treats were a lovely extra. Just be aware that there is no cooking in the yurt. A saucepan of water for some potatos is ok but meaty goodness needs to be done outside on the bbq. All good.
• Anne (9/5): Wonderful unique experience of yurt glamping, a beautiful remote retreat, adjacent to lovely beach - A healthy and light diy breakfast Close proximity to Collingwood Village to undertake the Farewell Spit day trip and visit Cape Farewell. Outdoor bath amongst nature. Remoteness and adjacent to a lovely Golden Bay beach. The unique experience of staying in a yurt. High quality eco products and linen provided. A holiday from tv and wifi The distance of the toilet from the yurt for us as seniors who average 2 to 3 visits during a night.

• Deb (10/5): Pure bliss in a slice of heavenly peace and quiet. - This was the perfect location, breakfast goods were perfect with Cooking facilities. The outdoor bath was pure luxury along with the outdoor Shower. To just be able to walk out onto the very quiet beach was dreamy. Beautiful place to relax and unwind with a glass of wine and nibbles Nothing
• Rachel (10/5): Of all the places we have stayed in all the world, this was our most favourite! - Absolutely everything was wonderful - perfect in every way, a peaceful slice of heaven! We had 3 nights there - one of them was pouring with rain, a cosy spot as we listened to the rain on the roof. Another one was clear and starlit - a private bubble bath counting shooting stars and satellites - magic. There is so much to see in the area - in good or bad weather. The hosts were amazing - such good communication and thanks for the freshly caught fish too! We were sad to leave but are recommending Pa Torea to all our friends! Thanks so much! There is nothing to not like!
• Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - We loved absolutely everything about our stay! From the scenic drive into the property, to the walks and kayak trip from the beach we felt completely at ease at this beautiful homestead. The ability to walk to town allowed us to leave our rental car behind for a few days and feel truly immersed in our time in golden bay. We would love to visit again sometime :) Nothing! An excellent stay all-around.
• Tierney (9/5): Beautiful, sunny, private. - Beautiful stay, was well stocked to assist in our stay from the provided breakfast necessities, chocolate, and beverages as well as beach towels, shampoo, conditioner etc. Nice and private and the beach access was a bonus as well. Would definitely stay here again if we were back this way again! Did get quite hot during the day but was super easy to open up the roof to let some hot air out and the booklet explain how to do this simply.
• Alja (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay in a special little yurt by the beach. The sound of the waves at night and birds in the morning is what paradise sounds like. Very special location and special hosts. Nothing can ever come close to this treasure. Thank you so much for the amazing time, you are amazing! We will be back ❤️
• Kirsten (10/5): Little slice of paradise ☀️ - Everything was absolutely amazing! The location is right on the beach, making for an extra special morning if you can wake up in time to watch the sunrise! The bed was super comfy and the kitchenette had everything we needed. The bathroom says shared but you would never know it! 😁 We used the kayaks to paddle out and catch some fish which was an amazing extra touch to end our stay🎣 Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back (for longer next time!) A fan inside maybe for hot summer days? But it did cool down at night! Can’t fault anything 😁
