Guest Reviews
- maria (6/5): - The property is just ok, very tiny elevator, the apartment is next to the train rails so the noise is high, the curtains are see though. I think the property can invest in light blocking curtains. The shower had a big window, which was broken, the hinges on the top portion were broken. It made it hard to open or close. Also heavy. Which I was scared to touch, I was scared that it was going to fall. So I told my family not to touch the window. The WiFi never worked. We only stayed one night.
- Christine (10/5): We highly recommend this place. We want to come back here next time! - Location was very accessible to the SM Novella Train Station. We only walked our way to get there!
The accommodation is highly recommendable. Everything in the apartment we all like so much. Nothing more to ask.. the place was clean and everything we needed was available,
- Glen (8/5): Very good -
- Mikin (8/5): Small appartment near the railway station. - Close to the main railway station. Close to the tram station. Elevator is available. Too small for 4 persons. Too many unnecessary articles (like the piano) create clutter.
- Nurjati (9/5): Superb - In general we were happy about everything..
Location (close to station, tram pass by in front), and kebab sotre jus next door.
Facilities inside the apartment (cooking utenail etc). Only missing washing machine/facilities.
Reasonable price.
Would recomemnd to friends who will go to Florence The arrangement to get the key in box in the wall (difficult).
Hanging shower, in bathroom (we wish it is the flexibel one and the bidet (asian people not used it, prefer a little shower)
- Erica (7/5): Good - We all had bad coughs while staying there... I assumed it was from the old age of the building. There were a few things that didn’t work well but the staff was very responsive.
- Janet (8/5): Nice base for my daughter and I - Perfectly located for train to the airport
Also great for me as very close to conference centre
Had everything we wanted
No issues with communication
- Jue (4/5): Regrettable stay - I can hardly think of anything I like about this place. Maybe the only thing I could appreciate is that, the host is quick in responding to your message. I do not recommend this place, especially for anyone with a young toddler. It is the most regrettable stay I have booked over the decades. The layout of the internal space has many walls with sharp corners separating the space, which is hazardous if you have a running toddler. My baby had to get stitches after sliding on the lose doormat and kit on the corner of the wall. If you were parents, you would know how heartbreak we were seeing that much blood coming out of the baby and we ran to emergency care at night. All that the host did was just saying sorry about the situation. To this day, my baby still has a scar on his head. The lift in the building can not accommodate a travel compact stroller - we had to take the wheels off and fold the stroller to get in. It was a pain.
Now, talking about the other things I don't like: 1) there are few places you can go for breakfast nearby, especially when the weather is bad and you don't want to walk that long to the city centre. 2) the bedding I got has a stain on it. 3) there is no cleaning service, not even taking your trash bags out, no matter how long you stay (we were there for over a week and I was told that I could take out the trash bags to an outside area myself... ) sorry, I am paying to be on vacation with a busy toddler, I do not have the energy to do that. 4) the water sink in the bathroom is tiny and the water splashes everywhere - dangerous for young children; 5) It is far away from the city centre - be prepared to walk a lot. You could take public transport but it's very crowded. Again - with a stroller, it's more difficult. Something strange about Italian transportation, you don't see any locals paying for them but you do see foreigners being targeted by the inspectors if not with a ticket. Be aware.
- Haiyong (9/5): Recommend - Nice apartment and great team. Not far from train station. None
- Albina (7/5): Nice inside but very noisy - Nice design inside, new furniture, A/C. Not far from central railway station. 30 minutes to the city center. Easy check-in and checkout.
There is an elevator in the building, this really helps after day on your foot in the museum😅 Very-very noisy. If you have light sleep this apartment is not for you. We literally did not sleep till 1am and from 6am all 3 nights.
Not comfortable bathroom: washbasin is very small, no place to put hand towel.
Wardrobe (store room) is very stinky inside.
- Sulki (9/5): Superb -
- Ganbayar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karola (9/5): Superb - The apartment is close to the train station and the city center but in a quiet area. We walked everywhere but the tram station is right there if needed. A towel change after a few days would have been nice, plus there were only 4 little plastic envelopes of shower gel for 2 people for a week of stay.
- Darina (9/5): Superb - The apartment is situated close to the train station. We didn't hear trains just trams are really close. Mamo Florence Guido Monaco apartment is really perfectly equiped. We found everything needed. And the staff was very helpfull all the time of our stay. We just reccommend it for the stay in Florence. Shelf in the shower could be helpful. We had some problems with blinds sometimes. We couldn't pull them down.
- Jingxia (8/5): Very good -
- Muhammed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petra (8/5): Modern apartment with comfy bed in convenient location - We stayed 4 nights at this apartment and it was a good stay in overall considering the price we paid. The apartment is nicely decorated but overcrowded with unnecessary stuff in my opinion (piano, lots of decoration on the shelves, stools,...). The first impression is great but it lacks practicality when you start to move around the place. It's cluttered especially if you need to use the pull-out coach as a bed, the whole apartment gets really small and it's hard to walk by. I cannot imagine 4 people stay there and being comfortable. Kitchen was modern however we didn't end up cooking. There's a walking closet which I was not aware of while booking this place. So that was a nice surprise. The apartment has all you may need during the vacation.
There's a little cafe downstairs a minute away which is perfect for grabbing breakfast in the morning. Although their opening schedule is mysterious and unpredictable. The highlight of the apartment is a super comfy bed - 5 stars, so you do get a great sleep after exploring the city and that's all that mattered to us. We were out and about most of the day so at the end of the day, it was a great place to come back to and relax.
The location is really good because there's a tram station 2 minutes away which will connect you to the whole city easily (and it goes frequently). Although we even walked to the city center a few times and it was doable. Check-in was super smooth, a lockbox and entry code were provided. Communication with the host was fast and easy. There is a tiny little sink in the bathroom, which is hard to use. There's a very low (almost non-existent) light above the sink - Needs to be fixed. The shower room is big but the shower head is really poor and has a very bad stream. We didn't inquiry about it to be fixed as we didn't want to deal with it while on vacation. So not sure if it will be repaired. You just expect these things to work naturally when you check-in.
There's a smell in the apartment, which seems to be an issue in many apartments across the Florence so we didn't make a big deal out of it. Just go with it. The AC didn't work properly, but the host offered to look into it for us. Since we stayed in April and the weather was ok, we didn't care that much but it may be an issue for someone in the summer months. The TV didn't work well, not sure if it was due to the internet or a cable. The programs were not streaming properly. Netflix youtube didn't work, just froze. It didn't bother us too much as we didn't plan on watching the TV but it may be an issue for some people. Be prepared that there's a tram right below the apartment so if you are a light sleeper, you may need a couple of earplugs. The decoration pillows on the couch were stained. The bedding was clean and comfy though.
- Prashant (9/5): Superb - This apartment is close to the Firenze Santa Maria Novella, it is in a peaceful area as bit away from the city centre While there are 2 rooms but less space to keep luggage
- Samuel (8/5): Very good - Clean and close to the tram. There's a lift if you're with someone who can't do the several flights of stairs. The check-in process and contacting the host was more tedious than any of the other places we've stayed. It's a team of people/company - even though it's not a single person, you can only get very generic responses between something like 10:00-17:00
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Viktoriia (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent apartment with a very convenient location (10 min from the railway station) and equipped with everything you need. Beautiful interior, cleanliness, the bed is very comfortable, we were pleasantly surprised by 2 sets of pillows of different stiffness.
The customer service was also excellent. I highly recommend this apartment.
