Guest Reviews
- Jana (1/5): I left after 1 houer and booked a new hostel. - Nothing Bed Bugs
- Irene (1/5): Wont go back and not recommended waste of money - Not at all Rude people, double charge fees and like a slam area
- Mohammed (3/5): I am a Solo traveller, Hong Kong is very nice.. - This location is the nearest victoria Harbour.. Nice location.. The hostel in the in-out password machine has no card,, only pasward
- Alma (1/5): Bad -
- Shie (4/5): Disappointing - They transfer us from a different room. We booked supposedly for a family room, but they give us different variation of room. Just so sad because supposedly we wanted to have a family bonding while in the room.
- Cris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mary (7/5): Good -
- Jasonlim7181 (10/5): Exceptional - Great price, great deal great, location great, staff ,great cleaning maid , worth it it just building a little creepy
- Joseph (1/5): Worse experience ever! Disgusting - Apart from the strategic location. There’s nothing that I like about with this property. It is super cramped, don’t think it’s for 3 person. Basically we have no place to put our luggage or opening it. The condition is so bad like it’s in a slump. Very dirty and very uncomfortable. It is not for human to stay! Just stay away from this place.
- Nemo (1/5): Taj Mahal and Golden Showers - Taj Mahal and Golden Showers
The host and crew managed to bring an authentic Indian experience to Hong Kong. Upon entering the building complex, you are surprised by the number of small shops selling supposedly freshly cooked yet old-looking Indian food, accompanied by an endless array of currency exchange booths and small secondhand phone stores. In the evening, we also had the pleasure of being approached by some trustworthy individuals offering us a broad selection of adult candy, such as MDMA or some lovely hash.
One of the many elevators takes you to the Days Hostel, where the concierge guides you to one of the many other Indian-run hostels and your actual room. The room itself wasn’t fully cleaned when we arrived, but after a quick wash-down of the bathroom with the showerhead by a professional, we were finally able to enter our cozy nest for the next three nights. Three people, one bed with a width of roughly 1.1 meters, and an extra single bed (roughly 70 cm), combined with the very limited space between the beds - basically not allowing more than one person at a time to move - created a truly intimate feeling we appreciated.
Upon further inspection, the room offered some additional surprises we weren’t aware of at first. Flushing the toilet led to the entire bathroom floor being flooded by (hopefully) the fresh water rushing into the toilet. We were also happy to find some hair and heavy dust throughout the room - lifting up the trash can isn’t advised. Next to the elevator, there is also a staircase housing some cockroaches and occasionally a worker taking a small cigarette break, covering the stench of human excrements—or rats; we aren’t sure.
Overall, we had a lovely time here with a lot of laughs. We would recommend the hostel to anyone looking for a subpar stay with very small rooms in a dubious building. -

- Sefa (1/5): Not recommended. - Nothing The employees are sullen and rude. There is no power outlet to use. I couldn't charge my phone. The room is very narrow and there is no room to move.
- Michelle (1/5): Bad - The location is convenient. The staff is not very helpful and not even accommodating just at least to compensate the room experience. No towel, no tissue provided, no bidet, shower not working properly.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Artem (10/5): For its inexpensive price the hotel is not bad, just keep the rooms clean and it will be even better. - Polite and helpful staff as well as convenient location in the city. The inside of the room is very dirty.
- Arcee (8/5): Solo staycation - The location is very accessible..,and the room is always clean by miss KC and she is very helpful and approachable..,when you need or when you ask something she is very kind thank you so much miss KC see you again. I think the lift or the elevator from that building it's always busy and crowded.
- Arcee (8/5): Extendedstaycation@HK - The bed it was so cleaned and comfortable by miss KC thank you so much for giving and assisting me for all what I need and I know I'm always requesting youto change my bed sheet and towel thank you so much for your kind and politeness. Actually it's the lift or elevator for that building only that always busy and people crowded.
- Nasanbuyan (1/5): Bad - I don’t like Days hotel .. that was so bad.. Dirty, messy, hot and so bad…
- Jeremy (5/5): Booked for a friend who needed a cheap place to stay. - Booked for a friend. I did not stay here. He was comfortable enough.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Stay HERE!! Clean & Convenient 💯 - Due to a mix up with my visa for my next destination, I've had to extend my stay in Hong Kong. This was my first accommodation and I'm happy I returned. There are many guesthouses in this building and after discovering I could not fly at the airport due to a visa issue, I booked another guesthouse for four nights because I knew I would be busy going back and forth to get my visa sorted out. That guesthouse failed to attend at the agreed check in time, accused me of being late, refused to accept I had the booking confirmation and a timestamped photo of their property, and basically told me to sleep in McDonalds because I would not pay extra for "late check in". Following this they cancelled my booking and put me down as a no-show, so I "lost" $100 USD. So if you are browsing guesthouses here, go with this one because the value is the best I've found here so far. The rooms look like what you see in the pictures, the staff are helpful and always around, they checked me in early and didn't charge me extra, free coffee and hot water dispensers, and overall I have felt welcome here and safe. There are also friendly staff from the Philippines and lots of nice Filipino guests and families who stay here. So it's been nice to chat with people here too. On the ground floor you'll find lots of food places (indian, Filipino, groceries) and you're very near most forms of transport. The surrounding area has everything. Food, shopping, laundry, BigC, and the bus from the airport practically stops outside the building. The rooms are secure too, with a main door keypad sensor and then the lockable individual guest rooms within that unit. So if you book a few rooms for family visit, then it's convenient because it's like having separate rooms together inside a secure apartment. The room doors are fire doors so I'm my rooms case it's appear a bit stiff/heavy. Other rooms I've stayed in here haven't been that much. So with this room, my door does not close smoothly, but fast/slams against the frame, and then needs to be pushed to completely close, which of course can be annoying for other guests because of the unnecessary noise if kinda having to force the door completely shut. The doors just need a tool or plain to shave a few layers off the closing door frames edge, then it will fit the actual frame and not need to be forced completely shut/locked.
- Mejos (5/5): Passable -
- Jakumaitis (5/5): Passable -
- Ben.wong (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mark (1/5): Bad - I don't like everything starting with the staff mostly in the room. Poor service. if you need to make a request about those who don't have a room, you have to go to the other building because their receptionist is in the other building. TURTLE LIFT !! to be honest I didn't like anything, we just didn't have a place to stay that night.
- Komalpreet (10/5): Heart of city - Nice room courteous staff and Excellent location
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities Long wait lift
- Henry (1/5): Worst hotel ever - Nothing, worst hotel eveeeer Dangerous, dirty, stinky
- William (6/5): Pleasant -
- Takakkinen (2/5): Very poor - Very small room but there is window to see outside It’s overpriced for small room.
Woman at the reception is very rude, offensive and doesn’t listen any request.
I asked her for cleaning the room but ignored.
Room facilities are old and TV doesn’t work.
It’s better to negotiate with Indian people at the end of Chung King Mansion for finding reasonable room.
- Vrendale (3/5): Poor - Location Untidiness, narrow space yet super pricey, I was super duper charged
- Roger (1/5): Bad - The room quite small and yet the price to high. Problem is elevator and don't how to communicate to all guests. Specially if you request semi double bed. Luckily the staff so friendly and polite. Price not reasonable. 2nd bed to small and even the room. And lastly elevator.
- Aleli (5/5): Passable -
- Jeanne (1/5): Terrible. - Nothing. Coackroaches everywhere on the bed, they were just running around. I've never been in such a terrible guest house, even if it is cheap, it should at least not be a bug house. Could not sleep there, I left.
- Yan (8/5): Very good -
- Yan (8/5): Very good -
- Kateřina (4/5): Disappointing - Good location It is a complex of small hostels in the same building. So watch out, cuz you can book for the cheaper price the same room as you would get here or another hostel which is in this complex.
- Ivy (9/5): Superb - Location, the receptionist was very nice and accommodating. It's a great choice if you're on a budget and if you'll spend more time outside for activities and just use the room for sleeping and storage. It's also very secure, full of cctvs. Definitely recommended Small, but expected, cleaner sheet would have been phenomenal
- Kamarudeen (9/5): Superb -

- Anonymous (4/5): Not that much bad , but needs improvement to make more healtier place even guest only use at night time - location is accessible... Towel shouldn't be ask , should be at their rooms right away...
Tissues should also be ready once check in....
washrooms should have trashbins too
to make more clean , linens should be all whites to make more like living in a real Mansion...
Location is very good ...Rate is good ( if you want to save )very affordable but if possible make more nicer to stay.....
- Andrew (1/5): The room is so damp that it feels like your living in a swamp. The bedding was wet to the touch. My bag was wet to the t - Location is good It’s a swamp
- Jiwon (1/5): Bad -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Melody (8/5): Very good -
- 髙宮 (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nitin (9/5): Superb -
- Erna (8/5): Very good -
- Shanavv (1/5): Bad - Don't go unless you want to share a tiny room with old men.
I booked a 6 bed mixed dorm, but ended up in a very small room with just 3 beds and no privacy curtain whatsoever. This would have been okay if it wasn't for the fact that this whole hostel is just filled with old chinese men. After the first night, I asked to move and was kindly shown to other rooms, which were all just filled with old men. As a 20 year old woman, I didn't feel safe.
The first night I was told I could come to the reception the next day and pay for a private room, but when I went to check the next day, I was told they were all fully booked.
When I asked to be moved to a room with at least one other woman, I was told there weren't any. I decided to book somewhere else and leave for my own safety, but the hotel refused to refund me my money for the days I wouldn't be staying there, saying I knew what I would get myself into when booking a mixed dorm. Of course I understand it might happen that I would be sharing a room with guys, but a smaller room, with less people, and no other women anywhere in the whole hotel was not advertised.
When checking out, I was suddenly informed there was a room with other women, but I had had enough and left.
Next to that, there was a weird smell and I was constantly coughing while inside. As soon as I left, the cough would leave.

- Bo (2/5): everything was broken. - Location is gerat. shower door was broken, sink was leaking on your feet, no toilet paper, no shampoo, no towels, AC was very very noise and when turned on whole room was shacking, i tried 4 different motels in this building and this, sadly, was the worst.
