Guest Reviews
- Wright (10/5): - Thanks, lidia, for letting me stay in the cottage for the first night. As you said, that bed was very comfortable , and so was the one in the house. The rude people that were in the house. There was a misunderstanding on my part, and even after I apologised, the man was still very rude. Life will catch up with him.
- Sara (1/5): Tried to complain but couldn't get through.
Need a refund. - Couldn't get hold of the owner/s?
We were forced to not stay. Couldn't stay. Not good at all. Never happened before. Couldn't stay overnight.
A couple had already stayed with a dog that didn't like other dogs.
We were forced to continue driving home after a.5 hrs driving to home, then another 5 to get home. Not a good bnb. 4 bedrooms.
- Beeton (10/5): - The house and it was private Not much everything was great

- Remi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michele (6/5): We stayed in winter and the house was very cold and had insufficient heating. - House is quirky is really more of a bedroom with shared house facilities though It was freezing cold and there was only one reverse air con in the living room that def was not enough to warm the house up. Owner did text once to say there were heaters in the bedroom but it was a fan and it wasn't possible to set it to a warm temperature. I didn't get a reply to my second text message. We were the only ones staying the the house but if there had been people in the other bedrooms privacy would be an issue as there is only one bathroom and one toilet. Felt it was a bit overpriced for what essentially is a bedroom in a shared house.
- Chelsea (10/5): Cute and cosy beautiful home. Could have stayed for weeks! and wish we had known about this place a few weeks ago when w - Vibe, presentations, style, owner, everything was perfect.
I also imagine it’s fairly rare it’s all fully booked . I had house to myself. Zero - nothing to not like :)
- Deb (9/5): Great place to stay with family, all amenities provided - Great location, ideal for the stay with my grandies, especially loved the coffee machine everything was fabulous,
- Esmael (1/5): Bad - No hot water
Cold and uncomfortable feeling house
No city views as advertised
Toilet was dirty

- Merly (6/5): Overall, the host was very friendly and made sure we were accommodated. - Nice city view The shower head needs fixing. A clean bathroom bin would also be appreciated.
- David (10/5): Enjoyable experience and comfortable accommodation - The convenience of location to my work and peace of mind with the security locking system Maybe a tv in the room but does not take away from my other answer being that people would probably remove them from the room so I can understand why they don't have them
- Kirsten (1/5): Bad -
- White (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (2/5): Very disappointing - Location was ok Lydia phoned me to say she had to deal with an emergency and could not get to clean my room until later which I was fine with but it didn’t happen and there was no further communication about that.
Shower was left dirty, toilet seat had dirty smudges on seat.
No clean towel, bed unmade, black hairs left on unchanged sheet. Just a fluffy blanket , no top sheet.
Key pad was difficult to navigate as door doesn’t close properly.
Still no apology or communication.
- Maygan (1/5): Shocking - Nothing I was caused of stealing when I did not steel anything the owner was rude and confronting do not recommend staying at this property
- Wright (8/5): Very good -
- Janeli (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (3/5): Not enjoyable in summer, 35c in rooms all night. Should be a $60 a night not 150 motel rates. - Location ok, not a retreat just a house in the suburbs No air-conditioning in rooms , had to drag a bed into the loungeroom to sleep, as it had a small one there. It is just a house with rooms none with ac , more of backpacker accomadation .stupid pin lock on front door not working .lucky side door unlocked. Bed frame held up with bricks.
- Nikki (3/5): Poor -
- Wright (8/5): Very good - Quiet and peaceful
- Jodi (7/5): Good -

- Kirk (9/5): Superb -
- Iain (6/5): Pleasant - Close to the airport and comfortable. Good of Lidia to meet us and show us around. We were thankful for the communal food stock too.
- Andy (10/5): Thanks for a pleasant stay - The house was very close to my relatives and was a comfortable home for our stay. Booking.com could have sent me the entry instructions via email. As it happened, booking.com was no help in managing the checkin. Luckily Livia was able to sort us out.
- Natascha (8/5): A stylish welcoming stay- thank you! - Great funky home away from home A heater or extra blankets were needed
- Barrett (2/5): Very poor -
- D (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (7/5): Good -
- Roger (1/5): Bad - Failed to stay.building in poor condition. So
called garden in derelict condition .no city views from main bedroom lack of pillows.TV in common room broken.
Fridge in kitchen needs attention with unused food. Suggest someone from Bookings com inspect this listing.
- Olo (10/5): For the 6-8 hours I was there I was very comfortable for my short stay, also the owner was very welcoming - Homey vibe. Reminded me of NZ Love it all
- Myka (10/5): Best stay near Perth - I loved everything about it. I had the warmest of greetings from the owner, Lidia. She talked us through the house, pointing everything out that we needed to know. She is renovating the house slowly, so is there quite regularly and always checks to see if we needed anything. She was not overwhelming, just really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing lady. The house is very comfortable and homely. The bed was so comfortable. One guest caused our last night to be a bit tense but the house and Lidia awesome
- Libby (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious living area
Clean sheets and nice beds but only two pillows and one towel on the bed Difficulty in finding the property as it’s not actually on the road that the address is on difficulty in getting the digital deadlock to unlock five attempts
Bathroom was dirty, so was the kitchen sink dirty dishes
Not enough pillows or towels on the bed
One of the guest arrived with large dog to the back door could’ve frighten people
The worst was one guest arrived at 10 to 3 in the morning unable to unlock the door and rang the doorbell so I had to check his booking and direct him to his room
Not good value for $150 a night
- Goodwin (1/5): Bad -
- Lorraine (4/5): Disappointed - Located close to wedding venue. Dogs on our bed when we arrived. Dogs scratching on our door to get in once door closed.
Water turned off with no notice when we were getting ready for a wedding.
Fire alarm beeping from 3am due to low battery.
Contact phone number to reach owner said not contactable.
When we arrived home at 10pm our bedroom door was wide open and an article of our clothing found in entry probably removed by dog.

- Häyrinen (9/5): Nice stay up on the hills ❤️ - The owner is super kind and helpful 😊 The house is cozy and you feel yourself like at home❣️
Would have been nice to have the bikes to check out the places around. You can find here a lot of beautiful running/tracking trails, and also falls to have a swim (Rocky pool national park).
Thank you Lidia to taking good care of us ☺️
- Perry (10/5): Great house with a great vibe!!!. - Was a great house with a fantastic vibe…Lidia was welcoming and accomodating to our needs and we felt comfortable and relaxed in our stay! :)
- Vikramjeet (1/5): Bad -
- John (5/5): Passable -
- Dennis (3/5): Poor - Difficult to find at night. Poor street number. Room felt damp, bedding not adequate, cold night and only a very thin doona. No coffee, sugar.
Would not recommend.
- Kay1023 (5/5): Passable - The owner was very welcoming, helpful and responsive to requests.
The other tenant who stayed during my time in the share house was also kind and friendly.
The location is actively undergoing renovations, which show promise for improvement.
Close to shops.
The house is a spacious size with a washer and outdoor clothes line.
The kitchen was useful and well organised. Previous tenants were still checking out when we arrived after 3:00pm, leaving an extreme mess. However, the owner stayed late to clean and tidy the area for us.
No toiletries as advertised. The room I stayed in was COLD with no heater or doona. However, the owner did supply these for the third night's stay.
The fireplace does not clear well, causing smoke to fill the house when used. This was informed to the owner, though presumably, a known issue as smoke detectors were observed to already be disconnected.
Many of the windows lack fly screens. When opened to air smoke out, numerous insects and bugs are free to enter.
- Richard (1/5): Bad - Absolute disgusting and extremely disaapointing. Firstly, room we booked and paid for wasn't available, agreed to take another room that did not have the ensuite, when we got there opened door to our room and there was a homeless couple in the bed, wet towel on floor. Was not pet friendly, 2 other big dogs roaming around and asked their owner if they get along with other dogs and was told NO straight away. Turns out it was a shared house and some homeless couple and their friends have been staying in it for a few months now. Was very dirty aswell. Then was promised a full refund by the owner and then since then has not answered or replied to any message or call. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! MORE OF A SCAM THEN ANYTHING ELSE!!!! Was not what it says at all. Completely opposite
- Elkanah (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (4/5): We enjoyed our stay here and encouraged the Family vibe the owner sought . For the price, Great ! - Location and Price plus our Room was secure and a retreat from the smokey common area. The Hostess was lovely but a little preoccupied with Family problems. She was attentive when we arrived and I understand some of the problems she had on hand. Toilet and Bathroom facilities were serviceable and not a problem if Dated. The Shared Kitchen Worked for us and we enjoyed a couple of dinners and our Breakfasts there .The Property Access and covered parking were great although a Bigger Address Label would help identify the place from the street. Maybe even a Sign would be good ... The House was under renovation and not complete. Being Winter the Lounge Fire was struggling to burn clean. I think the Chimney was either clogged or the heart of the fireplace was damaged and not able to extract the Smoke made by the fire properly. The Aircon Controller was totally absent and the Aircon was set to an unsuitably (forJuly ) cold temperature meaning that we were dependent on the fire for warmth which wasn't great as we had to leave a couple of windows open to minimise the smoke smell ...The View advertised wasn't actually from our room window but from the Deck of the Granny flat between us and the back of the section. that probably wasn't such a problem as it may have mitigated any noise coming from that side of the property. This location has potential but is currently in need of a bit more work. I think that the Landscaping works against the presentation of this lovely property.
- Zoe (1/5): Very disappointing to travel to the house to find it in a substandard state - The caretakers were helpful The moving tiles on the shower floor, cracked window ,blind not covering the whole window, unstable bed head, difficult to see city views with uneven terrain in the back yard, unsecured ,unlockable glass slider in the dinning area
- Andrew (1/5): Just awful - Nothing at all apart from the location We got to the location the outside was messy and uninviting with the owners personal stuff everywhere. We were confused as to how to check in and we then talked to man with no shoes filthy clothes the room was apparently not ready so we left and returned two hours later to be met with the same man again. We entered the house which was not very nice we then could not get into our room and had to go outside and enter that way. Outside our room was a clothesline with the owners clothes on and some of them on the floor. We were then let into the room entering through the bathroom which was not nice at all dirty and the toilet was brown. Entering the bedroom there was a double bed with wrinkled linen. We could hear others in the house so clearly it was like they were in our room. I went to shut the window and the flyscreen fell off, the blind on the window was to small and did not cover the top of the window. My husband went outside and closed the door only it jammed and it took us ages to open it again he was locked out and I was locked in. Looking out the windows there were no city views and the gardens were an unkept mess. We then put our bags back on our car and left. Was were left with total disappointment.
- Caroline (4/5): A nice bedroom in an odd house. - Our ensuite bedroom was comfortable and clean with a nice desk and chair. I liked the vases of greenery.
There is a window looking onto a private space with some plants.
Another guest that is staying there was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t realise this was a share house situation which we aren’t used to.
It was difficult to get in one night when the door chain was latched and we had to wake another guest to let us in.
We felt more comfortable inside the room and were thankful we had the ensuite.
- Skyla (1/5): Bad -
- Gay (1/5): The worst accommodation I have ever encountered. No security, very dirty. - Barely habitable. I am amazed that this property is considered suitable for paying guests. The bed was quite comfortable, but I was too afraid to stay the second night alone in a house with no security, sharing with 2 strange men. The owner seemed very pleasant on the phone, but ignored my email with the issues I raised. The room and bathroom were very dirty. There was no security as the fly screens just fell out when touched, leaving the bedroom open to the outside. There was no grate in the shower, the grout was dirty and chipped, the shower screen was cracked and dirty, and the plunger left in the bathroom clearly indicated plumbing problems. The shared dining area had a pile of building materials on the floor. The door handle of the bedroom was so flimsy, you could see light around the border. It would have been simple to break into. I felt very unsafe, sharing an insecure dwelling with 2 strange men. This is not a suitable venue for a lone female traveller. I had planned to stay 2 nights, but was afraid to stay the second night after my husband left.

- Ngahooro (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (8/5): Very good - There was no breakfast involved so we left once we woke up
Everything was nice and clean and the bed was wonderful We didn't get to the premises until after dark and found it difficult to find, however, a phone call fixed that.
We found the bath towels unusable due to them not being washed/dried correctly. They were stiff and hard which was disappointing.

- Jonathan (1/5): Do not stay here! - Nothing. It was so poorly set up. Pile of rubbish in the kitchen. No microwave. Fridge with no freezer. My pillow was waifer thin. Probably the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in Australia. Absolutely overpriced. Terrible accommodation.
