• anita (10/5): Heerlijk huis op fantastische locatie. - Een gezellig huis met een schaduw terras. Ruim, met veel privacy. Vlakbij de haven met restaurantjes. Alles was aanwezig (zelfs strandstoelen en parasols, badlakens). Ruby is een fantastische host die je graag alles over het eiland vertelt. Niets.

• Thomas (10/5): Cozy & well equipped family house near the port - Great location (walking distance to Gavrio port, with cozy atmosphere). Ruby was very friendly and supportive during our stay. Great local recommendations for food, beaches and attractions. Ruby was very friendly towards us and our kids. Outdoor shower and the patio was great for the warm days. Highly recommended.

Ottima e curata biancheria da letto e da bagno I suggerimenti di Ruby sono stati importanti per godere al meglio dell'isola Bellissimo porticato nel grande giardino dove organizzare splendide cene .Ottima posizione Il porto di Gavrio è raggiungibile a piedi con una breve passeggiata
• parva (10/5): - Ruby is a very nice and warm Person and the house is beautiful. It is in a short distance to the Port , the beach and also a big supermarket is in walk distance.

The house and the garden are wonderful, very well equipped in everything you can simply imagine (including beach equipment and toys :-)), clean and very well maintained. We had a warm welcome from Ruby, who is always helpful with anything you need. We recommend this place to anyone!
• Mark (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful time at Ruby's Summer House. The house is set in a lovely garden in a peaceful location, but only a few minutes walk to the town. The house is very well equipped and was a very nurturing environment to spend time in. . Ruby is a wonderful host who does everything she can to make the holiday a special time. Staying at Ruby's provided an authentic Greek experience, and she went out of her way to make our time there memorable
• Joanne (10/5): A charming and generous host runs this well-equipped, beautiful, relaxing house. - We stayed for seven nights at Ruby’s Summer House and enjoyed it enormously. Everything other guests have said about the property and about Ruby’s generosity are true. It truly felt like we were being welcomed into her home rather than simply being treated as anonymous customers. Ruby kindly picked us up from the port when we arrived. She provided a very generous welcome pack which included wine and nibbles as well as jam and honey along with a delicious daily continental breakfast. We were especially impressed by how comprehensively provided the house was with everything we required for our needs, including maps and beach chairs and umbrella. There was also a beautiful shaded patio where were enjoyed the meals which we had prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. We also particularly appreciated how much time Ruby took to supply us with information about the island, its beaches, restaurants and sites of interest. We had an extremely relaxing week staying in a quiet, beautiful house only a five minute walk from the port of Gavrio and cafés and restaurants. Our only concern was the quality of the water which was salty (hence the copious supplies of bottled water thoughtfully provided by Ruby). We understand it is a universal feature of this part of Andros and not something Ruby has any control over. So despite this we want to award Ruby and her house 10/10 because everything else was perfect. We hope to return next year.

The house was fully equipped with almost everything you may need (especially if you have kids) and Ruby surely will make your stay unforgettable! The house is very clean and spacious just 3 minutes from the port, restaurants etc. Highly recommended an excellent choice !!!
• Dennis (10/5): Great relaxing holiday in a fantastic house with a super nice host. - We had a fantastic time in this house. Everything is exactly like Ruby described it and she is the best host ever. She is warm-hearted, reliable and generous. The house was perfectly clean, cosy and comfortable and Ruby gave us many tips what to do and where to eat. A welcome basket and the goodbye gifts were super nice. For breakfast she simply brought us everything we asked for- our daughter loved for example the special and soft Andros cheese and Ruby bought it for her. The house is situated in a quiet area just a few steps away from the port. The house has everything, even tupperware to take snacks to the beach. We almost cried when we had to leave, there is nothing negative to say about Ruby or the house.
• Catharina (10/5): Very comfortable and quiet house with everything you could possibly need - In a way, I was tempted not to write this review in order to keep this place our secret fabulous place! But that would not be fair to Ruby. The house is wonderful. We particularly liked the fact that everything you could possibly need (and more) is there. This is really a fully equipped house. It is also very quiet, so we slept like babies. Outside, you can sit at the balcony overlooking the harbour where you see ferries arriving and leaving. At the back there is a large table in a nicely shade area (Ruby has had a wonderful canopy, so there is plenty of shade now). It is only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Gavrio and its restaurants. Ruby met us upon arrival and took us to the house. She came up with great suggestions for where to go when it was windy and which restaurants to try. She even brought us fresh eggs and a huge cake! I really can't think of anything we didn't like
• Jane (10/5): Just book it - Fantastic house and peaceful location very close to the port and Ruby truly is a wonderful host. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Ruby is very generous and gave us a varied welcome pack and surprised us with some delicious and unexpected free range eggs and pastries during our stay. • Christine (10/5): Exceptional - My partner and I and our two dogs stayed at Ruby’s house for four nights. It was a last minute booking and we feel so lucky that it was available. I used to avoid booking places that didn’t have many reviews but have found some great places—especially Ruby’s. Ruby was quite communicative from the minute we made the reservation. She sent us directions and greeted us on arrival. We have a car, and it was nice to be able to park on the property. Because of the dogs, it was also nice to just let them jump out of the car knowing they were safe in Ruby’s yard. There is seating outside as well as a swing. There are also beautiful trees. You can easily not leave the property and still feel like you are on vacation, and everything you could need such as restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store, bakeries and ATMs are a short walk away at the port. The inside of the house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We only really used one bedroom and there was plenty of room to store our belongings. The sheets and towels felt very high quality. The living room had a selection of books to read. There was a tv, but we didn’t turn it on. There is also a small study that we didn’t use but did sample some sweets from a candy bowl that lived in there! The bathroom was modern and Ruby provided nice toiletries and many items that you may have accidentally forgotten. Ruby provided great food items such as fresh fruit, cookies, and bread (among other things). She also had a lot of water, both still and sparkling, soda, and milk. We had already been on Andros for a few days and it felt like quite a luxury to have all of this available to us without having to go to the supermarket. You won’t regret booking Ruby’s place on Andros—you will immediately feel at home!
• Antonis (10/5): Beautiful holiday house, truly amazing host - I don't think we could have a found a better house or host in the whole of Andros. Ruby has put a lot of love and attention in turning her family holiday house into something truly remarkable. Fully renovated throughout, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. This house is truly a hidden gem. For a family of four it is an ideal holiday house. Ruby has really thought of everything. The house is so well equipped it's ridiculous! Anything that anyone could possibly need on a holiday is available. Ruby herself is by far the best host anyone could ever have. Very kind, polite, attentive and pleasant, she goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are happy. The communication from the moment we booked the property was outstanding. She was always available to answer any questions. She met us at the port on the day of arrival and arranged for transportation to the house. Once there, we were greeted with the most generous welcome pack I have ever seen. Anything from biscuits, granola bars, fresh bread and pastries, milk, cheese.... you name it! She was very discreet and respectful of our privacy, bringing us fresh breakfast every morning but always checking with us before coming. Her recommendations with regards to which beaches or restaurants to try out were always spot on. Finally, Gavrio is probably the ideal location to stay on the island. You are right at the port which makes arrival and departure days stress-free, it has enough restaurants, bars, cafes and shops to keep you happy on a day when you don't feel like going anywhere else, it is a few minutes drive from the best beaches of the island, and also close to Mpatsi which is a truly beautiful village to spent an evening or two while you are in Andros. • Geoff (10/5): Exceptional - What a great place to stay, only a few minutes walk from the port yet secluded and peaceful. Ruby is a wonderful host, she met us at the port then showed us around the house and gardens. The detached 2 bedroomed property is superbly equipped with many personal touches which made it feel like a home from home. Ruby provided a welcome basket of goodies and plenty of bottled water together with some essentials in the fridge. Breakfast on the private patio was a perfect way to start the day. Ruby was able to give us lots of information on places to visit on the island, including bus times etc. and was always available to assist when needed. Nothing, we hope to return next year.
