• Tanya (8/5): Lovely base from which to explore the sea, the trails and the villages. - Fabulously located and comfortable for our six days, everything you may need for an enjoyable stay. Excellent referrals from hosts for activities. Small improvements could be a plug point for the bedside lamp for the smaller room and an oven that works better but other than that we had everything we needed.

Tutto nella casa e a tema “mare” ed è molto coreografico Staff disponibilissimo e sempre pronto a rispondere a domande ed esigenze L’unica scomodità (ma è parte della scelta dell 5 Terre in generale) sono i tanti scalini da percorrere per arrivare in casa… Ma se vuoi spiagge ampie e pianura vai a Rimini, non a Monterosso 😃
• Lindsay (8/5): Charming well equipped penthouse - really enjoyed this comfortable well located accommodation - A pleasant place to stay - high enough away from the street noise yet close to restaurants and beach. Very comfortable beds, good sized bedrooms, cooling ceiling fans, great range of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware, washing machine with external clothes line. Small balconies with interesting views. Giovanni and welcome staff very helpful. Really appreciated being met at the station to help with carrying luggage up the steps and stairs. Great to have small balconies (small) with interesting views, but balcony rails could do with refurbishing. Would be good if kitchen balcony could be somehow extended. A microwave would be more useful than the oven. Compact bathroom - shower might be a challenge for large stature or disabled people.
• Dave (8/5): I very much liked the place and would recommend it...with the caveat that there are a lot of stairs - The apartment was interesting in that it had a lot of interesting decor that made you feel like you were near the ocean. The place was large enough and far enough away from the main tourist area to be quiet but still within easy walking distance of restaurants, stores etc. the person who met us at the place was great and gave us good instructions on the "things you need to know about the place" like locking the door for example! It wasn't an issue for me, but there are a lot of stairs to get to the property, so if you have some mobility issues/health issues (like my friend), it made access more difficult. I would also suggest that there be some better directions as to how to find the place. It was a bit tricky when you are lugging your travel stuff with you.

• Nicholls (7/5): Beautiful but hot. - The location was great. In the center of the Old Town, close to the rail station and the walks. Clean, comfortable and affordable. No central air conditioning which on the heat was brutal but they had fans installed and given the age of the building that is to be expected.

• Donald (9/5): Very nice!!! - The host Giovanni was very helpful. At the end of our stay he and his wife carried our luggage all the way to the train station and then chatted with us while offering us a nice latte. Very kind of both of them! There are many stairs up to the location but we got kind of use to them after a while.

• Dianna (3/5): Never again - Nothing except the washer It was dirty and miss represented. We are older and there was too many steps and garbage in the alley. No cleaning service and the room was not clean.

• Primož (10/5): It was perfect to explore the whole Cinque Terre - It was in a perfect location, with kitchen, we had everything we needed. 10/10! Apartment is absolutely amazing, one of the best places I’ve seen. Also the hosts took a really good care of us helped out and were very friendly. Highly recommend!
• Megan (9/5): Beautiful cosy apartment in the heart of old Monterosso - Beautiful and cosy apartment! In the heart of old Monterosso, it was walking distance to everything! Giovanni was very accommodating and helpful with all of our needs! Went out of his way to help us with booking boat trips and restaurant reservations.

• Petra (9/5): Amazing stay in a lovely location - The atmosphere, location In the smaller room there’s only 1 electricity socket used by the router. So we had to switch off the Wi-Fi to be able to charge the phone overnight. Please include an extension cord.
• Sophie (9/5): Superb - Amazing location, fantastic apartment and so well equipped and comfortable! Great atmosphere and vibe with restaurants so near. One of the best historic streets in Monterosso! Absolutely brilliant - loved it all!!
• Cyril (7/5): Compact - Location was good. Communication very smooth and it was nice that we were allowed to leave our bags on the unit for a couple of extra hours till departure. Laundry machine was a nice extra. Climbing 2 flights of steep stairs to get to the unit. This is was hard with suitcases. Stairs to unit begin is in area where the neighbors leave all their extra belongings. Not too inviting. Chairs to relax on were 2 uncomfortable outdoor cloth loungers. Stairs to unit. No real views.

• Linda (7/5): quirky apartment right in the heart of the old town with a small balcony - The location was great, right in the heart of the old town next to all attractions and amenities. Quirky and quant. Issue with hot water, which the host dealt with very quickly. Nice little balcony. lots of stairs to climb so not for anyone with mobility issues, no real sitting room area, two pillows each would have been better, bathroom and shower cubicle very small
• Helen (5/5): We loved Monterosso and and enjoyed our time there. - Giovanni, the host was very helpful in locating a phone charger for us as we'd left ours at home. The shower was awful. The temperature control didn't work. We would find that we were usually showering in cold or at best tepid water but suddenly there would be spurts of scalding hot water. It was also very small. The steps up to the apartment are also quite challenging for people of our age (70)- we are quite fit but even so found the 69 steps from the town up to the apartment quite daunting.

• Michael (10/5): Great base to relax and eat in Monterosso and visit/hike all the Cinque Terre - The location was amazing. The facilities were very comfortable and it was amazing to have laundry, cooking facilities, a bathroom with a skylight window (that opens!!), and beach towels provided. We really could not have asked for more as a base to enjoy great food in Monterosso, spend a day at the beach, and also have a home base for hiking the entire Cinque Terre (Monterosso -> Riomaggiore) in one day. It is a somewhat difficult climb to get to the property. This is noted in the property description, not at all a knock against.
