Guest Reviews
- Pauline (9/5): A warm welcome on a wet day - Very cute stone cottage with parking at the front. We loved the fireplace as the days we were there were cold and wet. Well Equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds - we had the mezzanine. We also loved the booklet detailing the various walks in the area and we did do one of those. We had a bit of trouble finding it at first and someone was parked in our spot which was a bit of a nuisance, but that was resolved next morning
- Sandra (8/5): - Clean, and well equipped The shower room is rather small and cold
- DEBORAH (10/5): Fabulous. - A wonderful cottage. Clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Beds super comfy and quiet bedroom at back.
Great for a walk into town or walk to Barmouth on old railway.
Didn't take my dog but delightful small enclosed garden so may do next time.
Will definitely book again.
- Alex (6/5): Nice cottage in good location - Location to town a 5 minute walk with a choice of pubs. Immediate access on to the Maddwach Trail. After booking did not realise there was an added extra cost of insurance by holiday company host adding an extra cost to holiday which did not anticipate. Some soft lighting, such as a lamp would have been welcome in sitting area.
- Stephanie (10/5): Enjoyed our 2 night break and great hosts. - As a last minute booking this 2 bed was perfect for our family. Great location, great hosts and lots of little touches to the property. Nothing
- Steven (7/5): -
- Lawrence (10/5): Felt like home - Excellent location and facilities. Brilliant communication and a very well turned out property.
The little welcome touches, welsh cakes, milk, coffee and firewood were very welcomed after a long drive.
I also left a very sentimental necklace behind, it's been located and will be posted.
Excellent all round I really can't find fault, was a lovely get away.
- Rosemary (3/5): Average - The location was perfect for the event we were taking part in We felt that the property was not as cosy as it appeared in the pictures . The fire was no available and this was a feature we had been looking forward to using . It had a scribbled hand written note on a ripped piece of paper of cardboard simply stating , ‘do not use.’
The layout of the furniture was different to the picture which made the room feel rather stark . A rug was needed but the sofa which would have made it more cosy like in the picture .
Overall the property was clean and well kept . It just needs a little bit more attention to the soft furnishings to make it cosy .
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Doris (9/5): Amazing stay in fantastic location! - The property is super cozy and in a fantastic location. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a helpful book with maps. The hosts were great, providing useful hints and tips. Everything was very clean, and the beds very comfortable. Being able to bring our dog was a huge bonus, and we loved the location and the fireplace. The property is beautifully finished and maintained throughout, offering a high standard. While the bathroom is fully functional and meets all the needs, it does not match the exceptional quality seen in the rest of the house.
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Ben (8/5): Very good - Staff were gracious enough to send a pair of wireless earbuds back to us in the post.
I've stayed in better especially for the price paid. Bathroom was quite small and basic and bedrooms were good but nothing special.
Overall a good property to stay in, well located and clean.
- Jeanette (8/5): Very good - Cozy, clean, well equipped cottage in great location - you can walk directly from the cottage onto a country lane leading to the centre of Dolgellau within 10 minutes, or onto the stunning Mawdach trail.
Great for dog owners.
Good on street parking which is rare in Dolgellau. The bathroom was at the back of the cottage and was a little small with an adequate shower - we felt this did not match the high standards of the rest of the property.
- Susan (6/5): overall enjoyed our stay but certain areas of the cottage need attention - Cottage location was great for our needs as was close to friends who we were visiting, sitting area at the back was very nice, beds were very comfy and spotlessly clean, parking was very good as right outside the property, but a few niggles sofa was not suitable for purpose would not seat 4 people comfortably, cupboard full of plates but only one wine glass, no freezer compartment in fridge, tiled floor was quite rough and dirty certain areas of the cottage need attention
