- Helen (10/5): - Close to Tarrant street and main streets of Arundel.Beautifully decorated cottage and very clean.Plenty of crockery for self catering.Great communication with owner.Highly recommend.
- Sutherland (10/5): - The quaint cottage is in a Exceptional location on avery quiet road , and only a few minutes walk to the main village, the cottage itself is well presented , the kitchen has everything that could possibly be needed , and a coffee maker is always welcome, the garden is well kept and the seating is very nice in the evening and mornings ,it also has an absolutely fabulous shower, clean and comfortable bed , contact with the owner was reassuring and very easy to obtain access to the cottage, I have already booked my next stay, highly recommended in all aspects The bed could possibly be in need of the bolts being tightened but that is a little pedantic in view of how spectacular everything else is

- Kristine (9/5): Such a cute historic cottage in wonderful Arundel and superb location to our family wedding venue at the Town Hall and m - Location and decor The bed, it was ok but every time my partner moved I was catapulted 🤣
- Tina (8/5): Lovely cottage in a beaitiful town. Close to cathedral and castle. Quite a steep hill down to the main High Street - Bijou, cute traditional cottage I didn’t see any staff as it was a key pad, but communications by email was fine
- Paul (10/5): - Location and facilities. Nil
- Agnieszka (9/5): - I really loved this cottage. It’s beautifully decorated and very well-equipped with everything you might need. The owner was great and easy to contact. The location is perfect – very quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything. Highly recommend!
- Claire (10/5): - Great location, close to the cathedral, on a very quiet street. The cottage was clean and cosy and well equipped (lovely shower) with a nice little patio area. Communication was good with host Vicki. We would definitely like to stay again.

- Loretta (8/5): Wonderful 2 night stay ,would definitely come again. - Lovely cottage in the heart of Arundel , cosy and quaint. Not a lot !
- Godden (9/5): Very good value for money cottage in an excellent location in beautiful Arundel. - Excellent location very helpful host and generally a warm and quiet cottage. Slight plumbing issues with the bathroom upon arrival but this was promptly sorted by host.
- MELINDA (10/5): Ideal base for a weekend exploring in Arundel. Very comfortable and homely cottage. - Really pretty cottage. Very clean and well equipped and centrally located so everything is within easy walking distance. Lovely outdoor area with great views.
- Mathilde (8/5): Prima verblijf in schattig mooi huisje - Echt in hartje Arundel maar zo rustig. Leuk om een tuin te hebben. De badkamer was perfect met fijne douche. Vreselijke bedden. Als de 1 zich omdraaide veerde de ander ook omhoog. Echt erg goedkoop aandoend.

- Jacqueline (9/5): Great accommodation to get a sense of how life was like a long time ago! - Easy access and free parking nearby. Very clean. Quaint tiny cottage that just suited us for a couple of nights. Fabulous shower and washing machine! Stairs super steep and the landing between the bedroom and bathroom was tiny. We worried that some people might find it dangerous to navigate in the dark. We couldn’t get the key in the rear door to work so couldn’t access the patio.
- Kingsmill (8/5): - Location was excellant for what we wanted to do Nothing
- Barry (9/5): Great position and beautiful town. - Position to the town and walks, as described, comfortable, clean and a home from home. Parking was tight and a television in the bedroom would have been perfect.
- Lindsay (9/5): I wanted to visit Arundel Castle and the surrounding area. It was very well located and the cottage was perfect for what - It was really comfortable, clean, cosy and well equipped Nothing
- Ian (8/5): We enjoyed the stay, a clean property and in general comfortable. - In the heart of Arundel so fantastic for stepping out the door and enjoying the town.
Nice and clean property and everything included that we needed for our stay. As you would expected it’s a small house, the doors were very low and being over 6 feet I hit my head 6 times, once fairly hard. I should have been more careful I guess but even bending down I still bumped my head.
Staircase to second floor is steep but manageable if you’re fit and healthy.
Garden is overgrown and in need of attention, plus not fully secure for the dogs if you’re a pet owner.
Parking was at times difficult.

- Wayne (8/5): - Arundel Cottage
Our cottage is small and cozy with one bedroom up and a bathroom. These two rooms are reached by steep stairs, so be careful. Downstairs is the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is very well equipped. The stove is easy to manage. Ice cubes were waiting for us in the kitchen - always a nice touch. We appreciated the milk and cookies that were left for us. The cottage was cozy and warm so we did not need to work the heater at all. The tv was loaded with a program called NOW, foreign to us from abroad but once we figured out how to operate it, we discovered loads of programs. The tv is of high quality. The wifi worked flawlessly. The owner is quick to respond to questions. The shower is great with lots of hot water. We found the bed and pillows comfortable despite some reviews to the contrary. The cottage is located on a quiet street and this allows for a good night’s sleep. Arundel is a cute town with lots of interesting shops. There is really only one good sized grocery store which is located downhill from the cottage. Arundel is quite a hilly town. There is an outdoor patio which we did not use due to the rainy weather. The view is lovely. The patio area needs some long overdue maintenance and gardening work. Come to Arundel - you won’t be disappointed.
- Emma (10/5): - Great location. Cute backyard (was a little overgrown, but nice view)
- Champion (9/5): Booked a lovely 1 night stay here in Arundel. Cottage was lovely and your located so close to village with lovely views - Beautiful property in a stunning location N/A
- Sara (9/5): Delightful cottage but beware steep stairs - This delightful old cottage is fitted out really well by the owner. It has a little sitting out garden with chairs and table and is in an excellent location, near the Cathedral, Castle and good eateries. The owner was very helpful and the cottage lovely and clean. Booking.com did not have enough details on their website, especially that there is only 1 bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living room (Booking.com advertised 2 bedrooms) also they did not say that the stairs are incredibly steep and not suitable for anyone with even slight mobility problems. I had to go up on my hands and knees! I hope these details have now been added to the website as the owner has done her best to make it a delightful place to stay.

- Susan (9/5): -
- Angie (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (10/5): A short break in lovely 19thC cottage with garden, away from traffic and crowds in Arundel, a beautiful historic town on - Perfect location, lovely quirky cottage with tiny terrace where we had our meals. Nothing.
- Elaine (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (10/5): Great stay thanks ! - Quaint is correct - ultra clean - well equipped- excellent location ( great pub a few minutes away). Definitely recommend.
- Sarah (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - Perfect location.
Very clean.
Spacious and modern bathroom.
Garden area was nice Could have done with an information book for the house (eg, tv etc)
Bed a bit wobbly but still comfortable
- Derek (9/5): Brilliant Location - Excellent location, easy to walk to shops, castle, cathedral etc.
On road parking but we parked across road from house; seemed easy to get parking space and free. Owner was flexible about arrival time. House clean and well equiped; including dishwasher. Garden. Some relatively MINOR negatives: sofa v uncomfortable; partly as limited space. TV v small by current standards. Care needed on stairs as narrow and steep. Also, needed for low doorways. No evident provision for recycling so we took ours home. Garden could be maintained a lot better.
- Jacqui (7/5): Lovely cottage and milk appreciated - Great location and nice clean cottage Garden needs a but of TLC
- Debbie (10/5): Peaceful & relaxing - Homely & comfortable with the lovely addition of a garden.
- Denise (9/5): A very comfortable rural stay - The cottage was very nice, homely & clean. The location was great 8min walk to centre of village & castle, was in quiet area next to the cathedral. The cottage has everything you need for a good stay, pint of milk in fridge plus tea, coffee and sugar in canisters was nice touch.Shower was fantastic, bed was comfortable.Garden was a blessing all we heard was bird song or silence.Host was friendly, helpful & made us feel comfortable throughout our stay.Would definitely stay again.
- Jen (8/5): Lovely stay in a cosy cottage. - Lots of character, great location, fabulous shower, pretty garden. The mattress on the bed was a bit soft and the pillows a bit hard.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (8/5): Good weekend stay in pretty village - Very well located to explore Arundel and surrounds for a couple of days. Smooth arrival details were provided and staples like tea/coffee etc are all in stock. There is a good internet connection and on a sunny the back garden is nice to sit down in. This is overall a very tiny space with everything kept pretty small so it all fits! The staircase is narrow with small steps so if you have any mobility issues or don't like stairs this is not the place for you. Street parking in free and in early spring we were OK, but in busy times it might be more challenging to get a parking spot.
- Josephine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Hosts communicated well and property was lovely - Was very cosy, with lots of character and close to the village centre.
- Alastair (9/5): Superb - Although small the cottage has everything you need and is superbly peaceful. We came to see the Tulip Festival at the castle, we were not disappointed.
- Richard (7/5): Good - Lovely property in a quiet location which was in close proximity to the town.
- Tim (10/5): Cosy, clean and comfortable - Cosy, comfortable, clean cottage. Thank you Vicki for leaving a pint of milk for us in the fridge - much appreciated. Ideal location for Arundel. Only slight problem was parking on the final day, as we had to park a couple of streets away, but not surprising as the cottage in close to the centre of the town and this wasn't a problem on the other 4 days of our stay.
- Paul (10/5): The cottage was just perfect for our 3 day stay in Arundel. - A very comfortable well equipped cottage, just a short walk away from the local pub and the town, couldn’t fault it.
- Sean (10/5): What a triumph just superb - Everything the cottage and the Town
- Simon (10/5): Perfect - Amazing location, perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Lovely cosy well equipped cottage
- Emmy (10/5): Exceptional - This is the second time I have stayed at the cottage. Everything about it is charming, cosy and wonderfully comfortable.
It is always spotlessly clean and the little terrace at the end of the garden is a dream.
Thank you Vicki and Matt for being the perfect hosts. Nothing at all.
- Nancy (9/5): Great location and very comfy. - Great location, close to town and walks within the South Downs.
Very comfy cottage. Perfect for a short break.
- Randal (10/5): Relaxing break in homely and cosy surroundings. Will be back. - Well laid out. Excellent bathroom and shower. Well equipped. Nice extra touches like coffee machine and dog biscuits. Quiet location. Easy to park. Nothing.
- Alison (10/5): Just perfect and would love to stay there again in the future! - A beautiful cottage nestled in the streets around the cathedral. Lovely furnishings and very well equipped cottage. Perfect location to explore nearby places such as Brighton, Angmering, Rustington, Chichester, The Witterings and beyond. We liked everything about the cottage but if you have any issues with walking then the little narrow staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom might be tricky even though there is a rail to hold onto.
- Bernard (10/5): Lovely cosy cottage in the centre of Arundel. - Lovely cosy cottage. Had everything we needed. Well equipped and very clean and tidy in a great location in the centre of Arundel. Coffee machine and milk in the fridge was a nice bonus! Nothing!
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Clean, cosy, and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Parking wasn't an issue. We managed to park opposite cottage. Very quiet street. The stairs are steep with small landing and low head room to bathroom. We were aware of this. My partner is over 6 feet tall and coped.
- Susan (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hosts very helpful with local questions. - Cottage very generously equipped. Heating, lighting, WIFI, bathroom and kitchen all worked well. Very steep narrow staircase. Bed too bouncy, pillows not very comfortable.
- Annemarie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (3/5): Lovely cottage on the surface, very disappointing on the response from the owners to the issue with bed bugs. - Central and well equipped One of the guests was bitten quite badly from what the doctor diagnosed as bed bugs. No response from the owners when mentioned to them after the stay. We booked both rooms but when we got there one of the bedrooms was locked. It took a call and message to get this resolved.
- Mozley (9/5): Superb - Great location, nice cottage
- Wendy (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable in beautiful surroundings. - Lovely cosy cottage absolutely spotless and nicely decorated. Great central location had a great stay. Thank you! I liked the character of this cottage, however the stairs are very steep and could be tricky for people with mobility issues, though this wasn’t an issue for us.
- Bev (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marnie (10/5): Totally loved it. Location, environment, cosy , welcoming, loved it. - Feel of the cottage , comfort . Bought a cafetière for real coffee, pillows really hard

- JesĂşs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Lovely quiet but central location. - Pt really suitable for people over 6 ft in height. Low doors meant several banged heads
- Julie (10/5): Cosy, clean, comfy and a superb location. - The location was superb as it was easy access the local shops, restaurants and places of interest. Nothing to complain about as it was excellent value for money.
- Juliet (10/5): Fabulous stay in a great accomadation in a brilliant location - What a beautiful cottage in a great location.Although very quaint it was well equipped with all mod cons. Very clean & comfortable
stunning garden & a short walk to Arundel castle, shops & bars & great choice of restaurants👍🏻we loved our stay & hope to return in the future,
- Angela (8/5): A lovely place to stay in a beautiful location - Location was great. Beautifully clean and cosy. The little garden is a suntrap It was great for me (5’2”) but my husband didn’t fit through any of the doors!
- Malcolm (8/5): We had a very enjoyable stay in Arundel, and the airbnb gave us a good base to do it from. - Location was decent. Arundel is small enough that I would think anywhere in the Town was decent. We were near the top of a hill, so walking back was a bit challenging for us, but we coped. The bed could have been more comfortable, and we could have done with some storage space in addition to the clothes rail, but we managed.
- Nicholas (4/5): Disappointing - quiet cottage let down by poor bed and no information pack - Tidy and clean ,well-decorated tiny cottage in quiet location. Good modern kitchen, bathroom and shower.Full length bedroom mirror.
On-street parking nearby usually available. No information pack on how to use/locate items in the house. No iron, ironing board or dishwasher tabs. Unable to log in to WiFi(despite several attempts)or to operate TV. Poor bed (light weight metal frame), thin mattress allowing metal bars beneath to be felt all night, mostly polyester bedding. Lacking bedroom storage - needs chest of drawers and suitcase rack .Narrow steep staircase.
- Ruth (9/5): Fantastic little cottage in Arundel - Fantastic location, close to the cathedral in Arundel. Lovely quiet road. Very well equipped cottage with everything we needed. Easy to find and access straight forward. Excellent communication with host Liked everything
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (8/5): Very good - Fabulous location and facilties. Helpful hosts Issues with sleeping arrangements sorted by host
- Hannah (10/5): Wonderful stay in the cottage, pretty property a stones throw from everything in Arundel. -
- Robin (10/5): A delightful traditional cottage with modern features within easy reach of town. We will be back! - Location was brilliant for a short walk into town. We loved its bijou size and sense of history, alongside a modern bathroom and kitchen, which made it easy to relax. The courtyard garden was a lovely sun trap for an early evening drink. It's only a short walk to the fields behind Arundel Castle, which made walking the dog locally an easy and pleasurable experience. Hard to pinpoint anything. This was the ideal spot for our short break.
- Rory (9/5): Superb -
- Nick (9/5): The cottage was clean and tidy and a short walk to the pub! - The location was perfect for us just 10mins by car from our 3 day course at Amberley museum. Parking. Had to park a little way from the cottage but not a problem as it was free.
- Bev (10/5): Spotlessly clean and comfortable cottage in an excellent location. - Fabulous location with the castle and town in walking distance. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staircase is very steep and would not suit anyone with any mobility issues.
- Hannah (9/5): Wonderful stay - Full of character, clean, comfortable and in a great location to explore Arundel. Garden is not secure for a dog but everything else was great!
- Ian (8/5): Happy with the cottage overall. - Quiet and well located. Interesting period property and access to a garden area with good views. Well equipped kitchen and good shower. Original narrow steep staircase. Limited bedroom storage. We had a problem with a toilet blockage although this was dealt with quickly after contacting the owner.
- Elena (10/5): Absolutely beautiful cottage in a lovely town - Location is great, very close to town centre
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): Enjoyed every moment. A wonderful relaxing stay. - Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. Extremely clean and well equipped. The host was easy to contact and gave very clear instructions. nothing
