Guest Reviews
- Richard Hollingworth (9/5): Nice, clean spare room in Macc. - Convenient location. Clean. Easy to find. Parking available on the road nearby. The price is on par with local hotel rooms and apartments when, in reality it's one of the host's spare rooms, not an apartment. That difference should be more prominent on the profile.
- Abigail (7/5): Lovely -
- MrsGibbs (7/5): - The room was lovely and cosy, the beds were really comfortable. Very clean and tidy room.👌🏻 The quilts on the bed were far too thin, it was more like a sheet. I didnt sleep well due to being so cold even with the radiator on.
Definitely need to invest in winter quilts!
- Mccormick (10/5): - Well placed easy packing lovley and clean nice room A lot of stairs
- Shaw (3/5): -
- mark (1/5): Poor location, limited if no parking, not as advertised - Nothing Everything
- Ann Marie (5/5): - Bit cold as no blankets
- Julio (10/5): Perfect for a short stay - Excellent location close to the town centre. Dan is a nice and polite host. My room was cozy and had everything I needed for a short stay, including a microwave. There are two rooms and you have to share the bathroom with the other guest/s, but at least in my case, it was not inconvenient since we did not even cross each other.
- Mike (7/5): - Nice comfortable beds, spacious rooms and great location to town. Easy walking distance and easy to find. Great friendly host. Nice quiet area and location, reliable and constant WiFi with stable TV reception.
- David (8/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): Pleasant residence in good location to town centre and train station - Breakfast is not served here It was quite cold during the day. Heating came on in the evening.
- Richard (8/5): -
- Amanda (8/5): Comfortable and well presented - The place was very clean and welcoming. I was in a room at the top with some steep narrow stairs, but Dan helped carry my luggage up for me, which I appreciated! The WiFi signal was very good. The room was small, which I expected, but had everything I needed
- Kelly (10/5): Stayed quite a few times and will continue to book in the future. - Always a warm welcome, clean and comfortable place to stay. Nothing to dislike
- Ben (8/5): -
- Rachael (9/5): Relaxing space with great views - I had a lovely stay here, the space is utilised well and it was great to have a microwave and kettle along with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits (I didn't eat them as I bought my own). It was also good to have a fan. The view from the room is incredible, there are some beautiful hills and I will never tire of looking at them. The location of the property is ideal, a short walk gets you into town and Victoria Park is just up the road. I slept very well, the bed is so comfy and the room peaceful. The bathroom is shared which doesn't bother me but I would have liked a better lock. The door could move forward (even with the catch over) and it makes a gap which can be seen through. That was the only thing.

- Janet (9/5): Exactly as advertised and perfect for the night. Thanks. - Perfect for a mum and 3 daughters going to a gig in Manchester.
- Adam (10/5): 10/10 - Perfect, clean, easy access, flexible checkin & check out. Front door lock a bit stiff, no frosted glass / blinds in the bathroom.
- Julian (8/5): - Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Appreciated having a microwave. Bathroom shared with one other room was clean and functional Curtains don't give full darkness
- Faye (8/5): Very good -
- Hayes (10/5): Was just a outstanding stay at short notice will definitely be back - The area it was easy access to all facilities was clean exceptionally and Dan was a very approachable
- Khaled (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antony (8/5): Very good - The room was extremely well presented, Microwave was on a bottom shelf for use ,this could lead to 'accidents with food on the carpet
- Janet (6/5): Pleasant -
- Daren (4/5): Not worth money paid - Ok as near Town centre. Road noise, neighbours dogs barking, building site opposite, no onsite parking, 3 flights of stairs.
- Pippa (9/5): Superb - Lovely bed, huge room, quiet and exactly what was needed. Homely and comfortable. I usually stay in a place with my own bathroom- this is shared but in the event it was me only.
- Mark (10/5): Good - The location was brilliant also they told me about this park where u can just relax I'd definitely go back there Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property Dan was very welcoming
- Karl (9/5): Small clean ideally located guest house - Centrally located five minute walk from the town centre
- Denyze (10/5): Macclesfield is a little gem visit accomodation complemented the feeling - Property clean and great views, very central, walked everywhere, loved the old cobblestones on the road very quaint. Nothing
- Lee (5/5): location is ok but needs some improvement - location was ok room was very hot and very cramped with it being an attic conversion by the looks of it, tv signal was pretty poor and wifi was not working very well, some stains on the bedding also
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Was lovely room and very comfortable 😌 Nothing it was perfect and great value for mony
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Convenient - Large room, quiet Nothing
- James (7/5): Good -
- Suman (10/5): Amazing! - We had an amazing stay. The place was very clean and beautiful. Dan was an amazing host, extremely helpful. High recommended this place. Nothing.
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Syed (8/5): Clean Property - The room was tidy and clean with a heater installed.
A microwave and some tea/biscuits. I know the washroom was shared but it was the only washroom for 2 rooms.
The one room was booked for 2 persons and I believe the other room could accommodate 3 persons which would be difficult to manage then.
Also, the host give me his own toothpaste as I've forgot mine - Many thanks.
So, carry your own as there was none available.
If I am a bit more picky (Karen), the directions to home could be more clearer as there are 2 ??homes at the postal code and you dont want to bell the wrong one.
- Robert (10/5): Lovely one night stay, excellent communication prior to arriving. Room was lovely and welcoming. - Clean, cosy and welcoming. Will be back nothing
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (8/5): No frills, good value clean & comfortable. - The room & shared bathroom was clean & comfortable, so it ticked those boxes. It was also located close to Macclesfield Town centre, so that was handy for dinner in the evening.
This stay represented good value for money, so would definitely use this accommodation again.
- Matt (8/5): Convenient location, great value for money. - Excellent location near to centre of Macclesfield. Great value for money. Shared bathroom.
- Krystian (8/5): Very good -
- Seals (4/5): Not near city and shared bathroom - The view out the window was beautiful. Mattress was comfy Property was not in Macclesfield city center - it was around a 10 minute walk to get there. Also, the title did not make it apparent that it was a shared space with the bathroom. This made my wife uncomfortable and I wish we had chosen another property. Maybe the owner can change the listing title.
- Design (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wright (10/5): Exceptional - Really comfy beds, cosy atmosphere, immaculately clean and very welcoming host. Lovely tea and biscuits, room perfect temperature and window easy to open if too warm. Coat hangers for coats and clothes and plenty of storage space. Also microwave for ready meals etc. Big full length mirror. Also have to add how lovely the room smells! Thank you so much!
- Zara (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable. Great location. Helpful, professional and accommodating staff.
- Matt (10/5): Nice place for a short stay - Was convenient for being by the town and hospital were I was working facilities were clean and comfortable place was well maintained, Only issue was parking on road small cobbled streets was a bit awkward finding a space only issue really ,
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Kristjan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Marites (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed, sleep well. The house number is not easy to find as we arrived late at night.
- Dennis (7/5): Good -
- Mike (7/5): Good -
- Paul (8/5): Overall a good place to stay. Probably one of the best value places to stay in Macclesfield. - Dan, the host ,was very helpful. Comfortable bed. Decent bathroom. Would have liked a tv in the room.
- Croucher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (3/5): Poor -
- Dan (3/5): Total misrepresentation of facilities available to guests - Bed was comfy The photographs on Booking.com show a large kitchen area and lounge. I anticipated having the use of the microwave for a ready meal at least but these are photographs of the owners house not facilities available to guests! My room was just that with a kettle and a teabag! Total misrepresentation. Wont be using again. After a long day in work and driving several hundred miles I did not need to have to travel again to get an evening meal
- Tasmin (9/5): Superb - comfortable spacious room, hot shower and city centre. working tv and refreshments provided in room.
- Lisa (9/5): Brilliant, would book again and recommend - Lovely room, exceptionally clean! Comfy beds! Perfect!
- Mark (10/5): Fabulous stay - Great communication from Dan
A beautiful room
Very comfortable bed
A quiet area
Easy to walk into town Nothing
- Mcgrath (10/5): Peaceful - Amazing property and the room was so unique. The little touches really make a huge difference.
- Judith (5/5): Cheap but not cheerful . - Location was good , but there were 3 flights of stairs to negotiate before you reached your room . Very small room with beams that my husband kept knocking his head on . We are both in our 70s so found the stairs too much tbh . Owner was pleasant but hardly saw him . The stairs were the main problem , beds were uncomfortable. The rail for the clothes was very unsteady nearly fell on me . If I had known about the stairs i wouldn’t have booked it . The beams were a big problem as one bed was directly below them , hence the banging of head.
- Eyres (9/5): Superb -
