- Joanna (9/5): Było cudownie! - Mieszkanie przestronne, wygodne, z pełnym wyposażeniem. Znakomita lokalizacja. Niestety, trafiliśmy na załamanie pogody i nie było możliwości ogrzania mieszkania. Bardzo zmarzliśmy.
- Philipp (10/5): Most beautiful and romantic, quiet apartment above the rooftops of Siena - like a private home. - Extraordinary, spacy, high-quality, fully classically furnishd apartment with unbelievably beautiful views over Siena (two directions). The web-based door opening system for the house door is very practical. Dishwaser and Washing machine work very quietly. Sunrise and morning sun on the rooftop balcony and in bedroom no. 2. We will come back! Generally everything was good to very good. We were very happy. Only communication with host and general instructions could be smoother technically and a bit more caring and attentive. Nevertheless, we always got the help needed by telephone and responses were sufficiently quick. Bathrooms are fully functioning and clean but quite old and partly worn out. Bath tub once was a jacuzzi but only serves as simple tub now. Elevator is small and a bit tight with luggage, but works well and is pretty nostalgic.
- George (10/5): Great! -
- Paols (8/5): -
- Gordon (9/5): - Generous in size, most suitable for multi day stays. Close proximity to all the sights, bars and restaurants.

- Ema (10/5): Tuscan delight - How spacious it was and how homely it felt, with the amazing view over the country side what’s not to love about that? Nothing
- David (5/5): An odd experience - much to like, much to dislike. - We agreed with many of the positive comments others have made. Beautiful artwork, an amazing view from the balcony when standing. Read the other reviews carefully. We didn’t fully register previous guests’ concerns until we experienced them ourselves.
- Isabel (8/5): Very good -
- Dagmar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvie_ch (7/5): Good - Excellent location!
The property is close to attractions, public transportation, and supermarkets, which made our stay very convenient. The flat itself is fantastic—cozy, warm, and a perfect place to relax after a long day. We had a great time and felt very comfortable. A challenging experience:
On our arrival day, we had trouble with the key. Even after contacting the host, we still couldn’t figure out how to open the door properly. The host insisted it was easy to use, but despite following the instructions, we ended up struggling with it for almost an hour. It was pretty frustrating, especially as it was already late evening. Fortunately, a kind neighbour came to our rescue. They also had difficulty at first but eventually managed to open the door after switching to someone stronger.
While the property met our expectations, the host’s responses were not as helpful or welcoming as we had anticipated. When we asked for assistance, the replies came across as dismissive, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. A more proactive and supportive approach would have made a significant difference to our experience.
A couple of suggestions:
1. It would be helpful to provide more detailed information about the recycling rules, such as the collection schedule. When we were about to take out the packed garbage, a guard on the ground floor informed us that it wasn’t the right collection day.
2. It would also be greatly appreciated if the check-out instructions could be provided earlier. The morning of the check-out day can be quite rushed, with many things to pack and check. I sincerely apologise for missing the notice and leaving the key incorrectly. Receiving instructions a day in advance would be more convenient and helpful.
Overall, thanks for hosting us.
Despite the challenges, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the opportunity to stay at your property.
- Susan (8/5): Sweet Sienna - Great location, easy walk to Campo and other main sights. Very spacious apartment with lovely terrace & fabulous view. Kitchen well appointed. There was a pervading smell of damp/ mothballs in the apartment particularly in the smaller bedroom. It could be quite overwhelming at times. We had a few days of very wet, cold weather and unfortunately there was no heating at all in the apartment. The landlord told us that was due to City Council not turning heating until November however the landlord should provide a small electric heater as a back up when needed.
- Therese (8/5): Very good - Easy check-in. Very good size. Comfy bed and settee. Beautiful art. The terrace was great. Kitchen was good (washing machine, dish washer, full cooker). We would like to have been able to push back the sun shade on the terrace for the sunny days but appreciate that in summer the shade is essential.
So many good things about the apartment but
we had a few issues that were irritating rather than major problems and didn’t find the managing agent helpful given that we had the flat for a full week. The lighting in the kitchen was poor as a number of the lightbulbs had broken (notified managing agent immediately but were just told where switches were! Like we hadn’t already tried them). In the end We found a rechargeable torch and rigged that up over the cooker. The tv wasn’t Smart - could have been our mistake(?). Toiletries absolutely minimal (tiny bar of soap and a couple of sachets of shampoo) - not encountered this before. Again raised all of this with managing agent and they replied
‘Maybe you supposed to have an hotel treatment but this is a locazione turistica apartment and it is allowed to leave only few soap (the necessary of the 1st day, than guests can easily buy at the supermarket. We don't choosed this, it is simply the law and we need to respect it).’ Response of managing agent
- Jo (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Location, charm, comfort, and great customer service! - The location is excellent—close to all the main attractions and the train station, but not in the thick of the tourist throngs. There are great shops, restaurants, and groceries within steps. The apartment is very spacious and well laid out. The kitchen is well provisioned and fun to cook in. The beds are very comfortable, and there are lots of extra pillows and blankets. We especially loved the 6pm bells at the church next door (the tower is right outside the living room window). THE BEST customer service: we had several queries during the week, and each message was answered within minutes, with helpful answers. I would love to stay at La Dimora de Amedeo again! The elevator, which we appreciated having, is tiny and not that useful for luggage.
