Staff were so friendly and their professionalism was outstanding. Beautiful room with canal views. This was my favourite stay in Vietnam , most definitely going to return. Wonderful breakfast to start your day and I’m not usually a breakfast person. I can’t speak highly enough of this place as it topped all my expectations, Fantastic staff , property and location. That I have to leave.

• Loan (8/5): Great location and breakfast and a nod to their decor. - Nice decor and front building breakfast area overlooking the river was superb. Very short walk along the river to the heart of the city but away enough from the loud music. Our room had the balcony and water view which was great but there was a mild mould smell - not a deal breaker if they can address the moisture issue which is prevalent in a subtropical place. Would definitely stay again.

Great breakfast with freshly cooked Pho and Eggs to your style . Staff quickly organised bycles for a great price. Thabk You !! No lantern boats came down that far when we were there. Still had a great view of the river.

Advertised in booking that they had cable tv, we were lucky to have ANY tv! First night we had none at all then intermittent the other 4 nights. Lots of noise coming from bars and hostel across the river but settled down by about 11-12pm.

Having a shower in a a very large bath was difficult to get in and out of. Also, the shower rose had no hanger, so had to hold the whole time. Bathroom got very wet and slippery. Also, being in the centre of town was very noisy overnight. Take earplugs.

• Pui Yee (9/5): Fantastic location, comfortable stay. - Very good location and value for money. It is a very short walk to the shopping area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and honest, no faults. Comfortable bed and clean room. It is an old building so there were some structural issues e.g. damp patches on walls in the rooms. Overall will recommend!

The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. We had a good view across t(e river. The breakfast area is really nice (river views and located outside) but too small to accommodate a group of four.

• Karen (10/5): Excellent location! - The highlight of River Suites Hoi An is its excellent location. You are right in the hub of town without being in the noise of town. Walkability is excellent. Get a river view room and you can see the lantern boats from your room.
• Vasileios (6/5): Great staff, but... - The staff were amazing. They truly care for the guests. The area around the hotel flooded the 2nd day we were there and it was inaccessible by any means other than walking through knee high standing water. We were out during the day and later at night we couldn't return. The hotel sent the bellman (unfortunately I don't know his name) who walked through the flooded areas to come pick us up to make sure we returned safely back. We want to thank him once again. The water outside our hotel was about half a metre and it continued to be so the following day, meaning we were stuck in the hotel. They moved our booking to another hotel (which was 5 star by the way) away from the flooded areas and we only had to pay for the difference in the price. They even paid for a boat to come and pick us up and move us away from the flooded area. The receptionist, Dat, came with us on the boat until we were out of the flooded area to make sure we were fine. We want to personally thank her again. In terms of facilities, the room had a wall with a wet patch and a slight smell of humidity in the room (this is quite common in many buildings from what I realised). You get used to it after a while but it is noticeable when you enter the room. Cleaning was ok but the area around the hotel is full of small flies, mosquitos etc. I believe that fumigation is necessary to minimise the amount of flies, mosquitos and other insects that enter the hotel. On that note, some of the breakfast needs to be better protected and covered at all times.

• VASILEIOS (8/5): Good hotel - - Good and clean hotel - Very helpful staff - Comfortable and clean room - Great location, 2-3 minutes, walking distance to the ancient city of Hoi An - They need to improve the breakfast. It was below average - There is no privacy in the bathroom and toilet, as there is no wall, but semi-transparent glass, and between the bedroom and the toilet there was no glass at all, but wooden blinds, and it was very uncomfortable when someone was in the toilet.

• Steven Dale (10/5): Great location!! - Super cute hotel. Right on the river and It is really close to everything in old town and the Chinese bridge. Breakfast was great! It a nice buffet with cook to order eggs and a lot of choices. The pool is really nice and they have a spa onsite too. Room was comfy and had a mini fridge, kettle , chairs, and desk To Shower you have to stand inside the free standing Tub and the sides are very tall so it is hard to get in and out of the tub.

• Alanna (10/5): Great location - Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a generous size and had a great view. Close enough to the main hub that you can easily access things, but far enough away you can enjoy some peace and quiet when it’s time to get to sleep. Spa facilities were very overpriced and not great quality. Better off finding somewhere local.

Staff are fabulous. Would highly recommend to anyone. Initially had room overlooking pool but found it dark. If you are a light sleeper this is your room. Very quiet.

They are very knowledgeable, speak great English and sup - The view from the balcony overlooking the lantern-lit bridge at night was amazingly beautiful. The doors to the bathroom and toilet are super close which made it awkward if a person was exciting the toilet and someone else was entering the bathroom.

However, they changed the room for us the next day. The breakfast was ok, not great. We only had breakfast 1 day. We didn’t look forward to breakfast the next day. The bathroom system was just weird for us.

• Hales (10/5): Exceptional - Great location right near the action, but the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Our room (Rm 303) had everything we required and a nice balcony with a view of the river. There were night markets in the street each evening, which is where we dined 🍽 during our stay. Not really a didn't like, but the pool is quite small but still 1.8m deep and provided a place for a refreshing dip. It's worth a mention in case you enjoy a large pool

The breakfast had great variety. Lovely that you have the option to sit inside or outside. The pool was unheated, small and a bit too public in the lobby, so the kids didn't end up using it.
