El riad no es lo que parece. - Estimados/as señores/as: La reclamación fue comunicada durante nuestra estancia y el motivo de nuestra salida anticipada quedó claramente explicado en ese momento. Les escribimos para dejar constancia nuevamente de nuestra profunda disconformidad con la estancia. Booking nos aseguró que había enviado un e-mail al hotel solicitando la cancelación de la reserva sin cargos. Sin embargo, el recepcionista negó haber recibido dicho e-mail y, además, nos indicó que estaban de fiesta y que no podía tramitar nada en ese momento. Tal y como ya notificamos durante nuestra visita, la experiencia fue horrible. La habitación no correspondía con las fotos de la reserva que habíamos realizado. Nos dijeron que el hotel estaba lleno y que no podían darnos la habitación que aparecía en nuestra reserva. La habitación asignada no tenía ventilación natural, era oscura y el aire acondicionado hacía un ruido insoportable que impedía descansar. Además, pese a haberlo comunicado, no pudieron ofrecernos una solución adecuada. Y la actitud del recepcionista contribuyó a empeorar la situación y a crear una atmósfera muy desagradable. Nos han cobrado dos noches, pero, como ustedes ya saben, únicamente nos quedamos una noche debido a las condiciones de la habitación y a la falta de una solución satisfactoria. Por tanto, quedamos a la espera del reembolso inmediato del importe correspondiente a la noche no disfrutada. Staff couldnt do more to help, they were lovely! Beds super comfy and clean Our shower over bath had no curtain so the floor flooded everytime and so the bathroom always felt a bit damp but it didn’t ruin our stay

• Grania (10/5): Beautifully designed Riad with wonderful staff - Beautifully designed and curated. The staff are so helpful. Location is perfect for the medina - whilst still being a quiet area. Rooftop is amazing and food is delicious. It’s not a criticism- but the nature of riads are that the rooms are not well soundproofed so light sleepers will be woken up by the doorbell.

• Christine (9/5): the Riad was a real haven - Conveniently located in the medina this beautiful Riad had some lovely rooms, a pool in the courtyard and small plunge pool on the roof, with, unusually, a well stocked bar downstairs and on the rooftop. Staff were lovely, the breakfasts were freshly made and generous and the huge bed was amazingly comfortable. Both the courtyard and the rooftop were great places to relax after tramping round the sights. Our room - number nine - overlooked the street and the reception, and was underneath the restaurant so was noisy late at night and early in the morning.

The receptionist was very helpful making us restaurant bookings and advising us about places to visit. The breakfast was really good with more than enough food! We booked 2 rooms but one on the ground floor was very small & dark. It was near the pool so a bit noisy as there was a large group staying when we first arrived. As soon as another room became available we were moved to a beautiful large room.

We felt well taken care of, really enjoyed our stay, and were able to fully relax. The toilet/bathroom situation in the room could be a little more separated.

The location was great - we wondered if it might be a bit further from the centre than we would like but it was an easy walk, and also the area was lovely and quiet at night (but still had restaurants and cafes on the doorstep). All the staff at the hotel were lovely and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing, and lovely to be on the roof terrace. The room was a bit smaller than we had hoped (it was a standard) so felt rather cramped and eg no room for bedside tables.

• Barry (10/5): Nothing in life is ever perfect but this stay at the Riad des Yeux Blues was very close to perfectio - Everything about this stay was fantastic! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Aminata one of the genuinely nice people I have ever met to the interaction of all the staff through the 4 night there. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We prepaid the breakfast and what a way to start the day! Home made and fresh. In addition we loved Morocco and will be back and will definitely stay at this ideally located Hotel. 10 stars! The room did not have any natural light but we got used to it. Marrakesh probably has many buildings in the old quarter like this. BUT the roof top restaurant and relaxing area more than made up for it

Unfortunately, the room we were staying in was directly below the dining room are the chairs made a lot of noise and we could hear them through the ceiling. Especially the stuff dragging the heaters around.

Service sehr freundlich, wenn auch zeitweise etwas unbeholfen Der exzessive Gebrauch von Raumduft - weniger wäre mehr! Die Zimmer sind recht klein, 2 große Koffer zu platzieren fällt schon schwer. Zudem ist die Beleuchtung in den Zimmern so spärlich, dass man nicht mal ein Buch im Bett lesen kann. Man hat sich zwar bemüht mit einem Schreibtischlicht Abhilfe zu schaffen, aber das war eher eine Tastaturbeleuchtung für einen PC und damit nicht hilfreich. Das Beleuchtungskonzept soll aber überarbeitet werden.

The riad is absolutely stunning, impeccably clean and the staff were so attentive and friendly. The breakfast was unbelievable – so delicious with so much variety, particularly different breads and cakes. The riad is excellently located too, everything is very walkable. The caged birds in reception were quite noisy, even from our room.

Il bagno non possiede una porta e la porta d'ingresso alla camera non ha la possibilità di essere chiusa se un ospite esce mentre il secondo ospite resta in camera. Non sono stati sostituiti i teli per la doccia e dimenticato di mettere gli asciugamani per il viso. Il tentativo di cambiare camera non ha sortito alcun effetto poichè l'eventuale alternativa avrebbe avuto gli stessi difetti. Prezzo di gran lunga eccessivo. Colazione senza infamia e senza lode.

The Riad decoration is wonderful and traditional yet still very functional great. The rooms need more space for luggage / storage and clothes. We had to manage with bags in the floor which we had to step over & more light in bathroom.

Nicht nur wird der Aufenthalt mit einer ausführlichen Erklärung der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und einem Tee begonnen, jeder Wunsch wird nach Möglichkeit erfüllt. Das Riad ist in einer ruhigen Gasse in zentraler Lage, jeder Punkt der Stadt war für uns zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Das Riad ist geschmackvoll und mit traditionellen Elementen eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und sauber. Der Pool im Innenhof ist gut gepflegt und eine willkommene Abkühlung. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet, hat viel Auswahl und schmeckt sehr gut. Dies war die beste Unterkunft während unseres Aufenthaltes in Marokko, Gastfreundschaft wird hier gross geschrieben. Vielen Dank!

The Riad is absolutely beautiful, and conveniently located off a good road straight up from the main square so you can always find your way home. Located right on the edge of the Souk. Great breakfast - Location was great, lovely courtyard, amazing breakfast For the price I would have expected the room to be a bit nicer or large. The shower has no door so water goes everywhere. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel or body lotion all unlabelled so no idea what I was applying (I think no body lotion provided which again for the price is strange). Arrives at 6.30pm and took 15 minutes to get the room ready which didn’t involve any extra care than a normal clean room so also strange.

Incredibly helpful and attentive staff, beautiful decor, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere all contributed to a very special trip. Recommend to anyone wanting somewhere a little quieter in Marrakesh. The only thing was the noise in the mornings - this could have been our room which was right under the kitchen, but from 7am you could hear a lot of noise from the team preparing breakfast above us. Made it hard to sleep in, but not the end of the world.
