• Nina (9/5): Kudos to my gracious, accomodating hosts at the heart of the fort. Laundry was a bonus. - this unit is pristine and so well located. it was the perfect balance of spacious plus compact efficiency. I loved having a toilet on each floor and a walk-in self-contained shower. The host provided cold water was greatly appreciated. When I had questions the hosts were fully available and even came by to troubleshoot (the A/C). the stairs going up to the loft bedroom are a bit steep, and this seems to be normal in Greece. The A/C wasn't working 100% and the host was gracious about troubleshooting.

• Verena (10/5): Empfehlenswert! - Tolle Lage, sehr sauber, sehr schönes modernes Appartement, tolle Aussicht, Ausstattung top, 2 WCs, komfortable Dusche, alles in der Nähe, was man braucht (Restaurants, Coffeshop, Minimarkt, Geschäfte, Apotheke, günstige Parkplätze (5,- pro Tag), Sehenswürdigkeiten, Souvenirs), Klimaanlage, Wasser für den ersten Tag war im Kühlschrank, Kaffeekapseln auch. Der Kontakt war problemlos, Erreichbarkeit der Vermieter top. Sehr hilfsbereit. Mich hat es nicht gestört, aber man hört den Verkehr und die Flugzeuge, dafür ist man aber mitten im Zentrum.

• Brenda (10/5): Highly recommended - The entire apartment was the perfect size and very well renovated to fit travelers, with a full bath and a half. The location was outstanding, and the view of the port and the Venetian fort from the balcony was amazing. There were several excellent restaurants within a 5 minute walk and plenty of things to see and do all within walking distance. Katerina was extremely helpful in answering all questions almost immediately. The information contained in the apartment guide was thorough and clear and helped keep our travel stress free. We highly recommend this accommodation and will certainly reserve again if we return to Heraklion. What a treat!

• Ana (10/5): Wonderful place, I would come back again. - This place is wonderful. New, convenient, comfortable, luxurious. The feeling is like in a 4-star hotel. Comfortable mattress, nice bathroom cosmetics, bathrobes and slippers, washing machine and dryer. There is a filtered water system. The view is wonderful. The old town practically starts at the street in front of the apartment. The parking lot at the port is less than 5 minutes walk away and is the most convenient and affordable - 3 euros per day! No complaints.

Check in war sehr einfach, da man alle Infos schon vorher bekommen hat und da wirklich nichts schief gehen kann. Toller Blick zum Hafen. Ich komme gern wieder, wenn ich mal wieder 2-3 Tage in der Stadt bin. Gute Zentrale Lage für Ausflüge. Das einzige Manko ist tatsächlich das man auch mit geschlossenen Fenster den Verkehr ordentlich hört. Als ich da war kam noch kräftiger Wind dazu und das hat man den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht gehört.

Wir waren Mitte Dezember vor Ort, um ein Tierheim vor Ort zu unterstützen und haben uns für die Unterkunft entschieden. Tolle Restaurants um die Ecke. Geparkt haben wir am Hafen für 10€ am Tag. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und die Kommunikation herausragend.

Mais ce qui a vraiment marqué mon séjour, c’est l’attention de notre hôte Katherina. Elle a été d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, toujours disponible, attentionnée et très à l’écoute. L’entrée autonome a aussi rendu l’arrivée super simple et sans stress. Merci encore à Katherina pour avoir contribué à se séjour exceptionnel !

• Keith (10/5): Just Like The Photos - Lovely Apartment - What didn't I like? The place was immaculate and looks exactly as in the pictures. The view from the balcony (I was in Sea View) was perfect. Directly at Koules Palace. Beautiful walk down both sides and in between two nice restaurants so there was a lot within walking distance. The suite itself is elegant and spacious, especially for one person with amenities and all. The staff was amazing, though they stayed almost completely invisible until you needed them. The owner is a phone call away and very helpful. You will have to remember that the entrance will not be visible via car going past the building via the roundabout. You can see the alley, but the entrance to the building is up that alley a short way. After the restaurant. Read the instructions from the owner. I didn't and had an adventure! 😅 I asked that myself didn't I? I didn't like having to leave is all.

Oman aamiaisen saattoi kuitenkin laittaa hyvin, koska keittiö oli varsin täydellinen, myös vaimoni mielestä. Toki pidempiaikaisessa majoittumisessa astianpesukone ja uuni olisivat hyödyllisiä. Oven avaaminen meni hieman monimutkaiseksi sähkölukon häiriön vuoksi, mutta tämä lienee tilapäinen ongelma.

Ce sont des détails , mais ça déprécie la qualité de l’appartement !

Excellent restaurant right below called Sir Papafigos (a must try experience), attention to detail throughout apartment. Nothing really at all, we had trouble with our shower drainage being extremely slow, but I brought it to the attention of the owner and all was fine.

Alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. An der Unterkunft selbst gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Lediglich der Straßenlärm direkt an einem Kreisverkehr ist stellenweise zu viel. Aber man ist ja meist unterwegs 🤗

• Marie-Lou (8/5): - Appartement très beau, bien pensé et décoré avec goût. Terrasse avec jacuzzi et vue mer. Literie trop molle, manque de rangements (vêtements, serviettes/peignoirs jacuzzi).

• Yakir (7/5): Prime location, beautifully designed apartment. - The apartment is well equipped, and beautifully designed, with a location near the port and the stunning view. Nespresso coffee machine with capsules and more equipment. The check in process was quick, so does the check out (self made). Me personally couldn’t handle the noise of the airplanes above at night time , every 20-30 minutes there are departures and the noise is noticeable. I understand that it’s part of the location cause it’s closer to the airport but I think it something I should mention. Also we had struggle to find the building cause it’s inside an alley which later I read the manual they sent me and they made fair instructions about how to get there. Also I want to mention that I wanted to book the room with the hot tub on top but for some reasons it is easily to get confuse and book the room without it. So make sure you book the right one.

• Lynden (9/5): Really good value for money, quiet yet central with a lovely balcony. - We loved the position right in the old town. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony overlooking the port.
• Gabriela (9/5): Amazinf - 1. It was very big and spacious 2. Location is central, close to everything 3. Staff is very nice and responsive 4. Accommodation has absolutely everything you would need and more 5. They have laundry service which is very useful 6. Air conditioner closes automatically when opening the window, and it provides blocker in front of the air conditioner, making it ideal for night (so the air conditioner does not blow in your face) Some points that I would like to cover based on previous reviews: - the apartment is indeed on top of a restaurant but it DOES NOT smell like food, but even if it would, the restaurant is a very good and classy one and the food smells amazing (we ate there, it was top notch). - there is lighting in the block, you just have TO TURN ON THE SWITCH (so the reviews about light not existing are untrue) The mentions below are strictly related to issues outside of the owner’s control (so not giving a maximum grade is not because of the owner) 1. There is a bad smell on the stairway of the block, but as soon as you enter the door that holds the accommodation rooms, the smell is gone 2. The drainage system of the block is probably not very good, since after some time of staying, the drainage next to the toilet in the upper bathroom started to smell
