Guest Reviews
- Adam (9/5): Truly beautiful location with wonderful hosts - The house was truly lovely, and our hosts were wonderful. We were a block away from a beautiful restaurant and just a 10-minute walk to the beach. We got off at the wrong station, and so we got lost, but so many people in the town worked together to get us where we needed to be. The view on the rooftop deck was spectacular, and this ended up being one of our favorite stops through our entire trip. It was very difficult to find, even after we got dropped off by bus at the correct location. I would have appreciated some step-by-step directions on getting to the property.
- Andrew (10/5): A beautiful home with a view, breakfast, and a train station a short walk away. Highly reccomended. - Margherita is a great host. Our refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for breakfast up on the beautiful terrace. She was also very helpful in providing local recommendations and advice on visiting Pompeii.

- Denis (10/5): - We had a truly wonderful stay in this beautiful old stile apartment and would highly recommend it. The highlight for us was the stunning rooftop terrace in a classic Italian style, offering breathtaking views over Seiano and Mount Vesuvius — it genuinely felt like living inside a postcard.
The apartment itself is clean, cosy, and perfectly suited for a larger family. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, making our week there very comfortable.
A special thank you to the landlady -Margherita, who was exceptionally polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Her practical advice on what to visit and how to organise our trips saved us time, energy, and money. She guided us like a true professional — whether it was Pompeii, Villa San Marco, Capri, or anywhere else, she always knew the best approach.
The neighbourhood is vibrant and convenient, with great coffee spots and shops offering delicious, authentic Italian sandwiches. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the locals were friendly and supportive, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

- M.J. (10/5): A very enjoyable stay in a great environment! - We loved the location, it is very easy to do some enjoyable trips in the area. The seaside is beautiful and you can go there on foot. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The views on the rooftop terras are very beautiful and it is very relaxing to start the day with your breakfast enjoying the views. margherita is a great host, she gives you a warm welcome. There were already some nice things in the fridge (I never experienced this before) and she gives you very useful information about the environment (specifically about a visit to pompei).

Gute Restaurants in direkter Nähe.
Netter Lebensmittelladen in direkter Nähe. Es war alles gut.
- Andrea (9/5): Comfortable and cool Casa, charming village, lovely hostess - Margherita’s casa is located in the small village of Seiano, which has a train stop, a grocery store, 2 restaurants (Amici is family owned and delicious) and a bar to sit down and enjoy a cold drink, espesso, cappuccino etc. We loved this location because it was quiet and everyone was so friendly. The casa has plenty of room; our teenage boys appreciated being able to spread out and relax. My husband and I loved the breakfast that Margherita left - pastries, bread, spreads, tomatoes, grapes, yogurt, juice and water. Also, an awesome espresso machine and complimentary homemade limoncello! Some of our most memorable moments were enjoying our breakfast on the rooftop terrace with stunning views of Mount Vesuvius, the sea and the mountains. The air conditioning is quiet and excellent. For more action, head to Vico Equense for supper and don’t miss Gabrielle’s gelato! If you’re heading to Pompeii, be sure to use Margherita as your guide. Pompeii is huge and she will take you to the best spots and explain all the history behind what your are viewing. You will love it here!

NIENTE !!
- Karin (10/5): Perfect Pompeii location - Amazing location in cute Italian village, you feel like a local. The roof top terrace was really amazing.. great view and experience. The host, who is also a tour guide for Pompeii, took us on a tour of Pompeii which was really special and I think way better than the big impersonal tours I saw other people doing.. She knows all the shady and quieter but interesting places to visit in the city. We really loved this Bit of an uphill walk to get there with bags but totally doable in 10 mins
- Yasmina (10/5): The best place we stayed in Italy - Incredible property - we spent 2 days travelling across Italy and this was by far the best place we stayed! Far more beautiful than the photos show, in a brilliant location close to the train station (10 mins to Sorrento) and next to lovely beaches. The terrace view was like something from a postcard. Margherita was a wonderful host, so kind and friendly and went above and beyond for us! I’d recommend this place to everyone - don’t hesitate booking!
- Inge (10/5): Perfect homely stay - The apartment is very spacious with all comforts available. It’s on a secluded courtyard with families around so it felt very homely. The kitchen is well-quipped so perfect for preparing meals and eating them on the rooftop terrace with a beautiful view. Highly recommended! A bonus is the family’s perfect Pompeii tour guide - definitely a highlight of our stay. We liked everything. Just the surrounding was not so buzzing, very little to do and hard to get to the beach.
- Karolina (10/5): I hope i will come back here ;) - Great place with amazing view on the terrace perfect to est breakfast. Host recommended the terrific place to eat or shop. We has a car to it was very convienient to travel. Highly recommend!
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - Magical original Italian home, beautiful, comfortable with the most extraordinary roof terrace with stunning views. Great location away from the crowds, the restaurants and shop having gorgeous fresh food and local wines. Host was wonderful being helpful, warm and friendly, thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable.
- Antonello (10/5): Wonderful experience! - The apartment was very big and comfortable, in a very good location, close to the train station allowing easy travel to Sorrento, Naples or Pompeii.
- George (9/5): If you want to experience the real Italy away from the crowds of tourists this is your spot. 10 minute walk from the tra - The property is a lot larger than the pictures show. The view from the roof top terrace over Seiano, Bay of Naples out to Mt Versuvius is beautiful no matter what time of day. Nothing
- Blacksheepfarm (8/5): Very good -
- Erzsébet (10/5): All in all we had an absoltue joy of a time here. Margherita Made our stay in Italy an absoltue joy. - The accommodation was in a very good location, with a grocery store nearby. Our host provided us with good advice. We had a warm welcome. The view from the terrace was extraordinary.
- Catalin (10/5): Totally recommend it! - The scenery is magnificent, the view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast was okay, the coffee was absolutely delicious. Easy to get to the location by vehicle. The host knows English and also can give you some insights how to get to shops, restaurants and objectives to visit. Had AC in all rooms which is a must there. All-in-all I recommend La Casa nel Cortile to stay there and visit the Amalfi Coast. The beds in the smaller room had a really hard mattress on the bed, but we used the sofas. The walk to the beach is fitness after you eat pizza or fish. Take your time to go to the beach by foot and have water with you!
- Leo (10/5): Amazing apartment with a kind and helpful host - Great location, beautiful view from the terrace, comfortable and spacious apartment, very kind and helpful host! Close to the beach and easy to get to the apartment by train or bus. Nothing.
- Lynette (10/5): Exceptional - Margherita was a fabulous host, very helpful, and always available for questions when we had them.
The breakfast included was replenished with fresh milk and juice, the apartment was very clean, and it was kept clean during our stay.
Thank you, Margherita. we really enjoyed our stay. Nothing..everything was fabulous!!
- Outi (10/5): Really nice stay in an authentic environment. - The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips on how to get around. The apartment had everything we expected. Especially the rooftop terrace with unobstructed view to the bay of Naples was amazing. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, this is where you'll find it. Seiano is a small village, but there is an excellent restaurant (Degli Amici) right next to the apartment and a small food market, where you find everything that you need. Keep in mind though, that the apartment is located on top of a hill. Even though it is only a few hundred meters from both the train station and the beach, this is not the right place for people with mobility issues.
- Wendy (8/5): Delightful. - Great location. Spacious. Well equipped. Great roof balcony with excellent views. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The twin beds in the spare room were very hard and uncomfortable.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
(10/5): Absolutely great place for your trip in this part of Italy. - The house is fabulous and it is located at excellent location, very close to the station. Margherita, the hostess is very kind and helpful with lots advices. There is unique terrace with nice view. The area is very calm, there are stores nereby and restaurants. The house has perfect kitchen equipment in case you want to prepare dinner. The beds are very comfortable and in ea h room there is aircondion which is great benefit in case of cold weather. Nothing
- Shelby (10/5): We loved staying at La Casa nel Cortile, would recommend it to others, and will return if possible! - The food and beverages provided were wonderful and very welcome. All was wonderful!
- Anonymous (10/5): Book this amazing place - Loved Ms. Margherita
Such a sweet motherly figure. She is extremely kind, helpful and resourceful. We came very late at night due to train delays and taxi drama on our check in day but she was so patient. Kept waiting for us and guiding us through our drive with the crazy taxi driver. We were so scared uneasy being in taxi at midnight but because of Ms margherita I felt somewhat at ease because I shared my google location live and she was able to track us and confirm that we were going in right direction.
The house is wonderful and spacious. She stores plenty of snack and breakfast item in kitchen. She helped us plan our days on the coast. She suggested restaurants and one of them is just steps away from the house - and this is the best Italian food I’ve had ever !!! If we ever needed anything Ms Margherita was just one WhatsApp message away.
If you’re reading this review that means you’re considering this house. My suggestion is that STOP READING and BOOK THIS PLACE NOW. You will not regret it. Oh another plus is that seiano train station is less than 10 min walk from the house which allows you to go either way in train Circumvesuviana (Sorrento or Naples) Nothing
- Heleen (9/5): Superb - Advice for car parking was really helpful.
- Phani (10/5): Exceptional - The amenities, the location and just how the place is imbued with that authentic Italian vibe. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised to see just how spacious and thoughtful the house is, with all the memorabilia and other stuff stored all across. Plus, the kitchen was equipped with so many snacks that they help you on a rainy day.
But beyond all that, the main charm of our stay was interacting with the hosts. Antonello was prompt enough to pick us up from a nearby station where we were stuck after the thunderstorm clogged up the tracks. He would take us through the region, talk to us about restaurants, bars, etc. and just made us feel at home. We would meet his brother, Mariano, later and he, too, was an excellent company to drink down some grappa on the enchanting terrace (which, by the way, has a nice view of the sea).
The walk to the station might take about 5-10 minutes but once you figure out the operation, things will be quite simple for you. Sorrento is only 15 minutes away.
- Florian (10/5): Exceptional - The appartment is big and really comfortable. The Terasse has a great view to Vesuv. The host was really friendly and gave us good recommendations, we also booked a guided tour trough Pompeij with her son, which was exceptional! The kitchen wasn‘t really well equipped for cooking.
- Florian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amber-rose (10/5): Pictures dont do it justice - This is such an incredible place to stay! We originally had looked for a place in Sorrento, not knowing much about the area and ended up choosing La casa nel costile in Soreno. This was the best decision and best part of our trip!
The apartment is beautiful, spacious, full of history and exceeded our expectations. We were spoilt by Margherita and Umberto and treated to wonderful hospitality.
The experience in the village itself is one of the real local life and while we could still take day trips to the hot tourist spots, being able to experience something more authentic was incredible! Highly recommend this gem!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place The view and the hosts’ hospitality
- Jonghee (9/5): Always appreciate it. Stay healthy. - Relax place, a place where I could go sightseeing/tour at any time.
- Timothy (10/5): The best little apartment you'll stay in! - Fantastic apartment close to public transport - ideal for visiting Sorrento / Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Vesuvio, Naples. Lovely quiet situation, very spacious with terrace overlooking Bay of Naples - panoramic views. Good restaurants near by, and a great supermarket/delicatessen. Margerhita, the host, is a local guide, and has a lot of information about the area - speaks perfect English and can recommend trips and restaurants. A great breakfast selection, coffee and even a wine cellar of local wine! The apartment is a lot bigger than the photos show. Out of all the different apartments we had on our trip, this was by far the best. The kitchenette was a bit small and could do with some more cutlery.
- Danilo (10/5): A great place to feel at home in an authentic and low key neighbourhood. - A great place to stay near Sorrento and on the Amalfi coast. Super clean. Friendly hosts. Nothing. All is great!
- Rakxa (10/5): We will definitely be visiting this place again. - We loved this beautiful apartment, very traditional, spacious and amazing views from the roof terrace.
- German (10/5): Great location for a g - The property is very comfortable , clean and beautiful. It has a nice kitchen and the host Margarita is very nice
- Jeffrey (10/5): Your coastal Italian village fantasy - Margherita was a fantastic and warm host who went far beyond, helping us call a cab and even drawing us a map of her personal highlights of Pompeii. The breakfast and the espresso machine were lovely. This high-ceiling apartment felt very grand, and that doesn’t even factor in having breakfast or apertivo on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples. Everyone in Seiano seemed happy to see us, with the church bells chiming the half hours and the birds squawking at daybreak. We went almost everywhere on the Circumvesuviana. We were very active, going to Pompeii and Herculaneum, but if you’re looking for a peaceful place to do nothing slowly, that’s also on offer. Air conditioner struggled a little. It was OK, but a little warm.
- André (10/5): thank you Margherita for the tips of restaurants - amazing super genuine apartment, very typical of Italy and the town was well located, the decoration was great of the house. the terrazza is great !!!!
- Siobhan (9/5): Quiet hidden gem - The accommodation was beautifully furnished, new bathroom and large terrace, on a quiet traditional courtyard. Much larger than we'd expected from the listing. A short walk to the train station (though the pavement is narrow at times). Local shop and restaurants were very good, also the public beach at Seiano, and all felt far off the tourist track. The icecream shop in town was a great recommendation by the host. Bit far to visit the Amalfi coast easily without a car, but very easy to visit Pompeii and Sorrento
- Andres (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Margherita was a wonderful host. The apartment is beautiful, very elegant with high ceilings and balcony windows. Very modern bathroom. The highlight is the terrace with an amazing view of Vesuvius. We loved our stay and would recommend this apartment to everyone. Nothing.
- Ewa (10/5): Cudnie i napewno tam wrócimy - Perfect localisation, beatiful, big, well equipped and very clean house, beatiful view from terrace, super family - available whole time and helpful.
- Veronika (10/5): We were amazed by the warmth we felt from the hosts and really enjoyed our stay! - Amazing house, you could feel that you are in Italy with breathtaking terrace. Internet connection was slightly bad.
- Lara (9/5): Love it - Everything Nothing
