- Natalie (8/5): - House was lovely and clean. Everything we needed inside the house. Great location 👌 Nothing
- Angela (9/5): - Lovely place, very clean and tidy. Ideally located close to the centre.
- Tayler (10/5): - Very clean, great location
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- thomas (10/5): Excellent and we will be back - We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday let. The facilities were excellent and the property was spacious enough for all of us to have our own space, which made the stay very comfortable. There was a good-sized dining table where we could eat together, and the kitchen was well equipped and genuinely usable, making it easy to prepare meals. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay, and we would happily return The only downside was the walk back up the steep hill, but that certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning.
- Caroline (8/5): Beautiful clean, bright, comfortable and warm holiday home. -
- David (9/5): Had a lovely few days. Accommodation was spacious and clean. We didn’t need to get in contact with the owner but felt he -
- Elaine (9/5): -
- Paul (9/5): - Great communication from owner
Rang us to let us know that the accommodation was ready at 1.30 which was very helpful.
Good location with free on street parking, always great to have in Whitby. Nice house with lots of nice little touches. and very clean and well kept Small but well maintained rear yard which is always handy when you have a dog..
Excellent fish shop just around the corner Lack of towels
- Shaun (8/5): Thankyou! Will use again. - Handy for town
- Louise (9/5): - Beautiful, well equipped house. Exceptionally clean. Parking

- Helen (7/5): We had a lovely stay at Scoresby Terrace . - The house was lovely and clean We were staying for one night and it we’ve us well.
The beds and soft furnishings were very comfortable and the decor was tasteful. The decking in the enclosed yard was covered in artificial grass and it hid the uneven ( maybe rotten) surface of the floor. In the centre. It dipped as you walked over it. A potential trip hazard and dangerous.
I felt it a little expensive to charge £20 for 1 dog to stay over and the fee should have been proportioned and broken down to reduce it to a one night stay. I stay in cottages with our pet at least 3 times a year and have never been charged more than £10 per week.
- Brad (9/5): Amazing stay and great location 5 mins from harbour - Really clean and tidy property, no issues what so ever, all information provided before travelling, amazing host would definitely book again What wasn’t to like
- Sam (8/5): Great place to stay - must be able to walk up a hill 😀 - Rooms lovely.
Clean and spacious.
Had everything you needed. Would have liked a small milk in the fridge. We arrived later and had forgotten to bring milk.
Parking was limited. There was only one space at the back no room at the front.
House at the top of a hill - not a problem for me and my husband but for my dad and brother it was interesting 😆
The welcome pack stated the heating was on low all the time. Which is great when it's cold however the weather was warm and we couldn't work out how to change it. Instructions would have helped.
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Excellent location relatively quite Not much only one downside couldn't find the rear patio door key as the weather was hot and sunny looked everywhere even sent a message through booking. Com but no response still would go there again
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Raychel (8/5): Lovely house, good location - Lovely house, very comfy, homely and a good location. Sleeps 6 but only 4 plates and 3 bowls.
Fridge really awkward to access especially with beaded curtain.
Would be nice to be able to have the patio doors open, but no key.
Thermostat complicated turned it down and off, yet still kicking out heat, had to switch off at boiler
- Jennifer (10/5): Clean, comfy and convenient base for a stay in Whitby - The house was clean, warm and comfy, with everything we needed. It was close to the harbour and in a quiet residential area with parking. Brett the owner was friendly, helpful and replied to messages quickly. We had to bring our own towels but this may have been a temporary issue.
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (9/5): Lovely New Year break away. Owner Brett was very accommodating. House is furnished lovely and comfortable. Short walk i - Lovely and spacious, great location.
- Stacy (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, around 10 mins walk into Whitby town. The hill is pretty steep but not too long, I managed it even with my dodgy knees!
Property was clean and well equipped.
Parking was very tight, but possible nonetheless.
Minor issue with the access code but the owner resolved this quickly and with good communication.
Would not hesitate to stay here again. The decking outside felt a bit unstable, possibly rotten in places. Easy enough to avoid but could be dangerous.
- Rachel (9/5): Beautiful little home - Beautiful house with everything you need for a short break away. Very good communication from the owner from booking to the day of arrival. 5 minutes from the seafront shops but a bit of a hill to climb coming back. Beautiful little chip shop on the next street with lovely food. Parking was a little tricky with there being many terraced streets around obviously parking spaces are tight. We did manage to get parked in the back alley behind the house but not for a nervous driver.
- Nicole (10/5): Lovely art. - It was lovely and clean and close to town. Nothing.

- Vikki (9/5): Superb - We stayed Monday - Friday, 4 of us together and it was perfect.
The cottage had everything we needed and was a great size!
The location was really good, there was a hill when you walk back but it was OK once you got used to it!
We managed to park really easily. There was plenty of room at the front and back of the home.
We would certainly stay again! Nothing!
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Beautiful home, very comfortable. 5 minute walk from the harbour-side. Streets to front and back are narrow, but we were able to park without any issues. Would stay here again without giving it a 2nd thought.
- Jillian (8/5): Very good - Lovley Clean property and homely comfy .location wasn't what I thought as it was there was hills no problem for my family but I my self and back problems and I struggled but apart from that was very nice Jill from Worksop Location the hill as I struggle with my back in morning

- Jayne (10/5): Perfect stay after what could have been an horrific weekend. - After arriving in Whitby at 5pm on a Friday night to another property we booked that was an absolute disgrace we found Scoresby Retreat on here last minute. We were at the property within 10 minutes of booking, and they couldn't be more accommodating. They helped us into the property over the phone as we were very flustered and made what started off as a bad situation a lot more bearable. The property was spotless and absolute luxury compared to what we had originally booked! Lovely home, lovely decor and everything you need with a good location. Very quiet too. The hill down into town was not my favorite part although coming back up was worse 😆
- Graham (8/5): Great location. Very comfortable and clean. Excellent value for money. Second time we’ve stopped and won’t be the last. - Great location. Very comfortable and incredible value for money Nothing
- Sandra (8/5): Nice house, shame it wasn't for us - Well appointed inside, suitable for able bodied guests only.
Railway chippy just around the corner. No were to park at the front or the rear as advertised.
Small rear space was a trip hazard due to uneven ground covered by fake grass.
Garden rail needs to be longer as rear gate reached by stone steps hazardous drop for small kids/elderly
Bedroom nearest bathroom - couldn't open the window, got hot as the boiler in the cupboard.
Terraced house steep stairs for people with any walking/knee conditions.
- Michelle (10/5): Very nice in a good location. Would definitely book again if staying in Whitby. - Lovely little cottage, very well equipped with everything we needed.
- Ben (10/5): Fantastic location, clean and cosy, great owner with fab communication - Great location, lovely owner and great communication. Nice and clean inside!
- Zoe (10/5): Fantastic time - Everything was lovely Nothing
- Janet (9/5): Warm comfortable and a very welcoming home . - The spacious of all the rooms and that we could all sit down to eat at the dining table. Location was great near to all amenities. Nothing to dislike

- Deborah (8/5): Good value and good location - Location good, a little hilly
- Oates (10/5): Exceptional - Group of 4 lqdies 65+.Very clean and comfortable.
Excellent facilities. Location very good for walking into town and back. Small hill up to cottage but no problem. Slight lack of cupboards for groceries.
- Norman (7/5): Lovely stay, lovely house, lovely and clean. - The overall aspect of the property was very good. Lovely and clean. Comfortable beds and very nice furnishings. The stairs were difficult, but that is my own fault for not checking before booking. The WiFi was very slow, but this was probably the area. The parking was hit and miss, mainly miss for me. My mobility became an issue
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great location very nearby the harbour and the beaches. Very clean and well presented. The decking at the back felt a little unstable
- Sarah (10/5): Excellent Stay - Gorgeous house very smart and clean. The beds very comfortable and pictures on all walls beautiful. Definitely recommend this house and I would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

- Ian (9/5): It is a really lovely property and communication from the owner was excellent. A great stay within a short walk of Whitb - Very clean.
Comfortable beds and sofas.
Cooking facilities good.
Location excellent - near to town plus a pub and fish and chip shop at the end of the road.
Excellent wi-fi Noisy neighbours at no.7 shouting, singing and doors banging till 3am (this obviously is not the fault of the owner and we just fell unlucky)
We always got parked on the road, but it was very tight
- Scott (8/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. - The house was clean and comfortable and within good reach of everything that Whitby had to offer. House was ready earlier than expected and there was good communication from the owner. The parking was quite tight being on the road either outside or behind the house and could do with towels being provided.
- Lucy (8/5): Whitby holiday - Was comfortable, very clean and well-equipped Nothing
