Guest Reviews
- Leila (10/5): This place is 10/10: Close to everything, great host, clean, and amazing outdoor space. - Everything! It was the perfect location, had great outdoor spaces, and the host was incredible. Nothing!

- Judy (9/5): Our stay would have been perfect without having to navigate the stairs to come and go. - It was a lovely apartment with three levels of views of the ocean. The view was absolutely stunning, and the accommodations were excellent. The apartment was essentially level with the street, but you had to climb down many stairs to the ground from the street, and then up stairs to reach the apartment that was on the top floor. Carrying our luggage to the apartment was quite a struggle. Federica kindly provided a luggage porter when we left so we didn’t have to carry our luggage down and up to the street when we left.
- Andy (10/5): Top class holiday home - a real 10/10 - This is a first-class property that has everything you need for a very pleasant stay. We were there a week and enjoyed the very well equipped terrace when the sun shone, and we enjoyed the comforts of the central heating, TV and living room when it was cold and the wind blew.
It's very well located - yes, it's high above town, but that comes with the territory if you want to live like the folks on the hill. The view is amazing!
We're both in our 70s and managed steps and stairs to town without problems several times each day - but who wants to leave the terraces? The walk to town and the sea-front is very manageable.
The bathroom has lots of hot water, kitchen has all you need to cook meals each day, bed very comfortable
There is a wealth of restaurants and a few supermarkets quite close and the beach is just a stroll
Federica was super helpful - she let us leave our luggage so we had a whole extra day to our holiday!
That's the sort of host you need when you're on holiday! All was good thanks!
- Anna (1/5): Dirty place in a terrible location with too many stairs; owner kept pressuring us for a 10-star review—nothing was enjoy - None I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest for future guests. This stay was far below expectations.
First, the cleanliness was a major issue — the place was not clean upon arrival, which made us uncomfortable from the start. The location was also very inconvenient, far from anything useful or walkable, and not well-connected. On top of that, there were many steep stairs to climb just to reach the apartment — something that was not properly mentioned in the listing.
What made the experience worse was the constant pressure from the host. After the stay, the owner repeatedly pushed us to leave either a 10-star review or none at all, which felt very unprofessional and manipulative.
Unfortunately, I cannot say there was anything I liked about the experience. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.
- Caroline (10/5): - Die Wohnung liegt so wunderbar!
- Bissy (9/5): Unbelievable view, peace and serenity above Salerno city - So many positive things to say here — but will highlight the three things that stood out immensely about this property and experience — the view, the comfort of the bed and sleep, and the owner! The view (and 3 balconies) are hands down the best view of Salerno. You feel like you’re in the clouds and it’s calming and incredible. Even in winter (December) you get beautiful sunshine shining on you! This bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in in Italy… clean sheets, quiet, comfortable, cozy and blackout wooden shades. Incredible for catching up on much needed proper sleep. Lastly, the owner is very kind, communicative and open about all suggestions and recommendations. Very quick responses! We also had an accident and broke her lamp and she was so accommodating and understanding. Overall, an incredible stay, with everything that you need. Appreciated the olive oil and ability to cook and enjoy a meal on the balcony. Also — solid WiFi for any digital nomads looking to work here. I took an important meeting here on my computer and was great service and connection.
Word of caution for those who are not as mobile — you have to grow up a lot of steps in order to enjoy this beautiful view! A great workout, too. Thank you for a beautiful stay!!!! Very small thing but some of the glassware needed rewashing.
- michal (10/5): - Ubytovanie zodpovedalo obrazkom dokonca lepsie
Cistota vsade
Obrovska terasa :)
A uzasny vyhlad urcite odporucam
A hostitel velmi mily a napomocny odpoveda na spravy hned
- Adit (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, clean, and exactly as described — even prettier in person especially the two terraces. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, and made getting around convenient if you can walk 12 mins up/downhill to the ferry station, bus stop, groceries etc.
Communication with the host was excellent — they responded quickly to any questions and were very helpful throughout my stay. We were lucky to see the fireworks from terrace for st Matthew’s day which Fede informed me about, and boy they were better than any fireworks I have seen. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! A very minor comment - My partner thought they could add a full size mirror for people to see themselves or their outfits. 😂
- Vinchymo (10/5): A little gem - What a gem of a place with the most amazing terrace. Views of Salerno were out of this world. Very clean and super modern with all the amenities you need. It's just a 10 minute drop into the Old Town to find restaurants galore. Federica, who owns the place, could not do enough for us and made us feel so welcome after guiding us to the apartment. I would highly recommend Ti racconto il mare and would revisit again. To be honest, there was nothing to dislike. A chilled, relaxing stay was had.
- Denis (10/5): An outstanding stay in a spotless, well-equipped apartment with a host who went above and beyond to make our trip fantas - Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The apartment was exactly as described—spotless, comfortable, and well equipped. What truly made the experience outstanding was our host. She went out of her way to be helpful, providing thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Thanks to her attentiveness, our trip was smooth and enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
- Jack (10/5): - Frederica is really kind and helpful her reaction time on Whatsapp is super fast! The bed has a lot of sagging
- Robert (10/5): It was just perfect. Federica is a great host and we enjoyed every minute of our stay - The location is just fabulous and the view is simply stunning. The house has everything we were looking for. There nothing that we didn’t like!
- Sissel (10/5): Nydelig leilighet, med fantastiske private terrasser med nydelig utsikt. Veldig hjelpsom vertinne, som gikk langt over f - Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom vert. Fantastisk beliggenhet - og nydelig og personlig leilighet. Ingenting.
- Steven (10/5): Wonderful stay in Salerno at beautiful apartment - Excellent apartment with spectacular view over the sea. Nothing
- Sheila (10/5): Would definitely recommend this place, the views are amazing from the patios and very convenient for exploring the Amalf - Beautiful apartment with all mod cons. Very comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet. Federica was so helpful and friendly recommending excellent restaurants nearby and always available by text to answer any questions. Nothing
- John (10/5): Great stay, with great communication . Lovely views from the terraces. - Great location with lovely terraces to look out on.
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional - Ti racconto il mare is a little piece of heaven in Salerno. The apartment has everything you need, including two gorgeous, spacious terraces with incredible views of the sea and surrounding architecture. Federica is a great host. She was always available to provide information and answer our questions. Of course, with a view like this one, you have to face the stairs to get to the apartment, but if you require help with luggage, arrange it with Federica ahead of time. We would love to stay again next year. The stairs.
- Andres (10/5): My second stay, and many more to come. - Ti Racconto il Mare is the standard to which other rental apartments and homes should aspire. This is my second stay, and there will be many, many more. The photos online are not only accurate, the apartment is even better (the spiral staircase is a mystery you can't pass up). Tasteful, artistic decor, with little touches here and there that make this apartment feel like a home, not a rental. The bed is so wonderfully comfortable, you'll want to sleep in. Your host, Federica, goes out of her way to make every guest welcome (read her guest book, raves about her all around). She is a one-woman ambassador for Salerno, yet in a friendly, gentle way (she's not trying to sell tours - she would rather you explore her cherished city on your own.) And the views, Bellisima!! Commanding vistas over the entire city and down the coast. Eat as many meals as you can on the second terrace, a feast for the eyes awaits. Sunrise breakfasts over Salerno are particularly stunning. I have filled two journals sitting there over several mornings. The lower terrace is fabulous for bronzing, too. And one more terrace you'll just need to find for yourself. The apartment sits within and atop the old medieval city, so every step in and around is a journey through time and a playground for your imagination. Historic churches, monasteries and convents round every corner. Even an archeological dig just a few blocks away if 2,200 years if Medieval, Byzantine, Roman, Greek, even Etruscan history are more your pleasure. If you're lucky enough to visit from November through early February, this city knows how to do Christmas! There isn't enough room here to say everything that is sooo good about Ti Racconto il Mare, about Federica, and about Salerno. I've stayed in very nice places in Rome and Florence. This is better. Ten fingers and ten toes up. The absolute only drawback is that this is not the place if you're significantly physically challenged or use a wheelchair. The old city can be steep going, and there are stairs.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Frederica the host was super helpful from check in to check out. She made us feel so welcome and communicated daily if we needed anything, from restaurant referrals to calling taxis. The apartment is wonderful with the beautiful balcony views to the artwork and design. We couldn't ask for a better stay in Salerno. And loved having the washing machine. Most comfortable bed on our trip so far. We hope to return one day! Nothing
- Richard (10/5): Wow amazing views - Stunning views from all three terraces N/A
- Johnson (10/5): Beautiful Stay in Salerno - Beautiful place with amazing view! Roomy and comfortable. Host was very helpful and good to deal with. Not a problem for us, but a potential visitor needs to be prepared for a lot of steps at the property and especially getting into and back from downtown.
- Caroline (10/5): Ti racconto il mare is a delightful place to stay! - The views from the terraces are amazing and we had wonderful, leisurely meals on the upper level, looking out over the bay. Federica is a fantastic host. She arranged for someone to meet and help us with our bags on our first day and provided us with really helpful information about places to eat and shop etc, as well as checking during the course of our stay that all was well. A lovely refreshing bowl of fruit to greet us was a bonus when we arrived and the air con invaluable in hot weather. The historical centre of Salerno is a very interesting place to visit and less crowded than some other destinations in the area. With excellent public transport connections, the town is a great hub for visiting the Amalfi coast, Naples, Pompei, Herculaneum etc.
- Dilyana (10/5): The best choice for our trip - We could not have chosen a better place than Ti racconto il mare for our stay in Salerno. The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities for both a short and a longer stay. The view from each of the three terraces is stunning. I think there isn't a better one in the whole town. We fell in love with Salerno and Ti racconto il mare. Thank you, Federica for always being there and your kindness and support during our stay. I recommend Federica and Ti racconto il mare, if you want to have an unforgettable experience. We will definitely come back to this lovely place again.
- Margaret (10/5): Great place, amazing host! - Federica was the best host ever! She is lovely, soooo helpful. I can’t imagine our Amalfi trip without her assistance! Calling taxis, restaurant recommendations and so much more! Very comfortable bed…great place with amazing views! A lot of steps but the view is worth the climb! Stay here, you will love it! Thank you, Federica ♥️
- Nga (10/5): wonderful stay - location and view was perfect. The apartment was super clean and the balcony and private terrace had amazing ocean views. It is a really cozy apartment for a couple. nothing.
- Moira (10/5): Wonderful - Everything Nothing
- Langley (10/5): We fell in love... - The best part of our whole time in Italy! Beautiful home, stunning views, wonderful town, and the kindnesses of Federica. Easy access to Pompei and the Amalfi Coast. The home was well-stocked, immaculate (the bath towels smelled heavenly!), and adorably decorated. Ti Racconto il Mare was everything we had hoped for, and much more. We fell in love with Federica and her beautiful home... and wished we could have stayed forever! Nothing
- Webwiese (10/5): Magic place and lovely host - best place in town - + lovely place
+ modern bathroom, kitchen and apartment
+ Francesca is a fantastic host and the communication was very kind

Thank you very much for a wonderful time. We have to come back. We were on transit but felt immediately at home. We were sad when we had to leave after two nights. nothing
- Claire (10/5): Perfect stay - Very comfortable, stylish but homely apartment. Fabulous views of the city and sea from the 2 generous terraces. The host, Federica, was extremely attentive and thoughtful and clearly cares that her guests have the perfect stay. There is nothing negative to report about the accomodation itself but you do need to be aware that due to the location of the property you cannot avoid some steps to access it.
- Lucy (10/5): The apartment is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for your stay in Salerno including a washing machine, - The great location and best views over Salerno Nothing
- Caitriona (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jeff (10/5): irresistible allure and and a view that steals your heart away... - My stay at Ti racconto il mare was an enchanting experience that captivated me from the start. Perched high above Salerno's busy streets, this remarkable rental apartment offers a breathtaking view of the ancient city and the vast sea. The vibrant colors of the sunrise and the moon's emergence from the shimmering sea are truly mesmerizing. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, it serves as an ideal base to explore the historical charm of the old town or indulge in modern retail therapy. It's also the perfect starting point for expeditions along the captivating Amalfi Coast or the alluring Cilento Coast.
Inside, the apartment's interior design showcases chic contemporary Italian flair. The vibrant colors and distinctive character found throughout will delight art enthusiasts, reminiscent of works by Picasso and Warhol. Occupying the top floor, the penthouse offers the utmost privacy and features two stunning outdoor spaces. The expansive private terrace measures 20 by 20 feet and boasts a retractable umbrella, sun loungers, seating, a floral privacy wall, and potted flowers. Additionally, the living area opens to a balcony, perfect for al fresco dining with a group of 4 to 6 guests. Both outdoor areas offer million-dollar views that will leave you breathless.
The amenities provided are truly exceptional, catering to the most discerning epicurean enthusiasts. Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to the host, who made my experience truly unforgettable. Their exceptional communication skills and prompt, considerate, and friendly interactions made me feel valued. Their responsiveness, invaluable assistance, and genuine friendliness created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond to make my stay so special.
- David (10/5): Salerno Stay - The location was really convienient for getting around the Amalfi coast. The apartmant is in walking distance to the ferry services and close to the motorway to get to the major attractions. Car parking is difficult around the apartment and the closes area has no working machine. There is also a problem with the code displayed as this is not recognised by the mobile app service.if you are happy to walk a bit further parking in the other areas and using the app works well. You pay up to 9pm at night and Sunday is free.
- Brigitte (10/5): very nice, I definitely come back!!!! - very nice Appartement, fully equipped, (even laptop and loudspeaker),
sensational view from the terrace
very quiet area
- Yvonne (10/5): The perfect base for exploring Campania. Great facilities, incredible views and the best host. - A really lovely apartment with great facilities. The views from the outside terraces looking across Salerno and out to sea were amazing. Frederica was a perfect host and made me feel so welcome.
- Anonymous (10/5): I was looking for a peaceful getaway and that is what I got. - The peacefulness and the view. everything was great
- Tomoko (10/5): Great flat. - I had one of the greatest stay here. the apartment has great energy and very well taken cared. the host was very helpful and responsive, the view from balcony you cannot expect better option. non
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best places we have stayed.
I don't think you can find place with better view of Salerno. The apartment was clean, very stylish, equipet with everything you might need.
If arrive with a car like us, there is street parking nearby, only 2-3 minutes away. The apartment is in the old town, 5-10 min walking distance to the new port and most of the restaurants.
On top of everything, Federica was so nice and helpful for everything!
- Jayne (10/5): Stunning balconies - The balconies are fabulous, and this was our main reason for staying here. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Federica was very helpful and provided little extra touches, like fruit, sweets and hotel style toiletries and slippers which was lovely. We enjoyed many meals on the balconies and watched beautiful sunrises. Although we obviously knew it was high up, we underestimated the climb, and only stumbled upon the community lift by chance, a few days into our stay. This helped a lot, but there are still plenty of steep, uneven steps. A fabulous apartment and worth the climb if you are relatively fit, but definitely not for gentle strolling!
- Mat (10/5): Perfect stay :) - - Frederica’s place was super clean and had everything needed to feel at home and cook
- The views were incredible and the terraces were great for sunset dinners
- She left us wine, Prosecco, and fruit for our arrival which was so nice
- The place is a short walk (10 min) to the downtown city core which we loved because you can see the local life and restaurants are cheaper too
- Very safe area too so don’t be nervous about that
- Would 10/10 stay here again and recommend
- :) Nothing
- Guilda (8/5): Spectacular view from the top of Salerno - Friendly and responsive host.
The awesome view from the balcony The shower could be better
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy apartment in the old part of Salerno with an amazing view. Two private balconies and an apartment with everything needed. The hostess was very welcoming and supportive during our stay. Can highly recommend! Lots of stairs and hills everywhere with limited access to any form of vehicles. Good to know if you are not physically capable or fit.
