Christiana (7/5): Good - Location is top as its in the central of Shinjuku and right above the station to commute. Very near shopping and next to the building there is a pizza place. Difficult to open the key box and some noise leakage from next door neighbours. Also more plugs needed to charge phone.
Robert (10/5): Amazing location in Tokyo at a very fair value - The location simply could not have been better at any price - the Higashi-shinjuku door A2 was literally just a few meters from the entrance so it was always extremely easy to catch a train going anywhere. Two subway lines run from that station and they cross over with every other line at least once in a few stops. I cannot overstate how convenient that is. There are tons of delicious restaurants nearby, and it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the exciting Kabukicho area. The host was very responsive, and I appreciated having a laundry machine as well as a small balcony facing the courtyard. The beds were also very comfortable and the shower pressure & temperature were great. I think this room would benefit a lot from having one of the beds removed to be replaced with a working area like a desk, or even a small eating area. It was definitely designed with the Japanese ethos of "make home cramped so you never want to be home," but that's not this place's fault, everywhere I stayed in Japan had this issue. The other thing I would have liked is some kind of bidet functionality on the toilet, which was strange to not have in a Tokyo apartment, but those are really nit-picks. I would stay here again purely for the location and responsive host.
