Guest Reviews
- Annemarie (8/5): Living like the locals - Ligger tæt på centrum.
- Andrea (9/5): - Posizione Top
Alloggio molto silenzioso letto comodo Qualche attenzione in piu sulla pulizia
- Campodonico (8/5): - Posizione comodissima, in centro. Osterie e bar/pasticceria vicinissime.
- Ayse (10/5): - Co
- Christian (8/5): Super zentrale Lage - Sehr zentrale Lage, trotzdem sehr ruhig.
- berthold (10/5): Wunderbarer Aufenthalt - Unterkunft war sehr gut, Sehr zentrale Lage. Leider keine Abstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Ausstattung war sehr gut und sehr zentral. Zahlreiche gute Restaurants in derselben Straße. Ein Katzensprung zum Zentrum von Arezzo.
- Christina (8/5): Great location near all. Active nightlife. - The location is A+. The apt was roomy, comfortable, has natural light, and clean. Staff was very attentive and made sure I needed everything. I travel quite a bit to many privately hosted apartments and hotels. This is an honest, objective, and fair review of Aurora 88.
I stayed here from August 28 - September 18. The temperatures in July and August are brutal everywhere. While the apartment showed a picture of the thermostat, there is no access to air condition.
I was lucky the weather was good. I would have only needed it for a few days. I don’t like air-conditioning very much because I’m always cold, but it’s necessary just to get temperatures and humidity down to a comfortable level. A fresh coat of paint egg shell type paint(to keep the aesthetics with the age of the building) to repel the humidity and brighten the place up. This would have made it aesthetically pleasing as well as practical.
Also, and this is important, the apt is 4 flights up. The washing machine is not located inside the apartment, but located one flight down in a locked room. I had my own washing detergent, however, laundry sheets were supplied which was nice.
The dining chairs are hard plastic, very uncomfortable. And sitting for hours while I worked was challenging. Even for someone like me who is only 90 pounds. I use the bedroom pillow for support. Paper towels or napkins, a cold beverage, coffee creamer, and biscotti would’ve been nice to have available after 18 hours of travel.
A smart-tv for streaming would have been accommodating, especially since there were a small selection of tv channels without the option to select a language, and lastly microwave to reheat food and beverages would’ve made my long stay a more comfortable for everyday life.
- Wanda (8/5): Goede tijd gehad! -
- Jo (9/5): The stay was a very comfortable and cozy stay, and the location was great! - The apartment was extremely clean--and it was nicely updated and fairly large. I also liked that I was able to control the temperature of the apartment myself. Also, there were screens (aka;mosquito nets) on the windows, which most Italian apartments don't have, and that was a positive feature. Also, the location was right in the middle of the "old town activity" and lots of people were out all the time in the area of the apartment. The only thing I didn't like is that the apartment was on the fourth floor, with four sets of stairs to walk up. This wouldn't be so bad except that the tenant has to walk uphill just to get to the apartment. So by the time you have walked uphill--with heavy groceries--the four flights of stairs are not easy. (I am 71, also, so that made a difference.)
- Sharon (8/5): Comfortable Apartment in the Lovely city of Arezzo. - Everything. The washing machine was a bonus. There were very good restaurants very close by on the same street. The area was quiet and there were screens on the windows....yay! Since I was there for a week I cooked quite a bit at home. The cookware needs some upgrading. The television is NOT a smart TV so you cannot open your Netflix or YouTube accounts. That was a bit disappointing for me since I was there for more than a few days and English speaking. Otherwise, I liked it very much.
- Gary (9/5): Beautiful apartment in historic building - Location was fantastic, restaurants and shops within less than 5 minute walk. But also quiet enough neighborhood to leave the windows open. Windows had screens which were much appreciated. Convenient washing machine and drying rack. Comfortable bed and great shower. A fan inside the apartment for hot nights would be great
- Nermin (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, beautiful ❤️
- Shiong (10/5): Arezzo - history architecture restaurants and life - Well located; clean - useful kitchen, good bathroom
- Gail (10/5): Loved it, will happily go back - Great location conveniently just off the Corso Italia. The family came to my rescue immediately when I had a personal problem. The apartment was exceptionally clean which is my main criteria and really just a comfortable home for an extended stay. Plenty of towels, a comfortable bed . Thoughtful additions like water in the fridge, coffee capsules enough to keep me going until I was able to buy groceries. Will definitely return when next in Arezzo! Finally insect screens on every window, for the first time there were no problems sleeping with the windows open, something I can’t usually do. It wasn’t a concern for me and I would be described as a senior, but as in many towns in Italy especially the Centro storico access is by way of stairs.
- Mladen (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very nice and cooperative. Apartment was spacious, in a very old building which is part of historic city center, but had everything that you need even for longer stays. Location is amazing, especially for the Giostra del Saracino, when all the happening is just a few streets away.
