• Britta (8/5): Sehr schönes Haus mit Sicht bis zum Meer, Erholung pur - Sehr sauber, außergewöhnliche Lage aber sehr kurvig bis zur Unterkunft. Sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeber, welche unten im Haus wohnen. Haus hat alles was man braucht. Matratzen sind sehr hart Sonst alles in Ordnung

Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht over de omliggende heuvels en als je wat verder kijkt zie je ook de zee liggen. Binnen het huis ontdek je elke dat wel wat nieuws, er hangen tientallen kunstwerken die de heer des huizes zelf getekend/geschilderd heeft Het bed was wat aan de harde kant
• Gabriel (8/5): Ein schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Verbesserungspunkten - Wir wurden von den Gastgebern sehr herzlich empfangen – sie sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Beispiel: Als wir online einen Tisch in einem Restaurant reservieren wollten, war dies nur telefonisch möglich. Eine kurze WhatsApp-Nachricht an unsere Gastgeberin – und nur wenige Sekunden später kam die Antwort, dass der Tisch für uns reserviert sei. Wirklich toller Service! Das Haus selbst bietet viel Platz mit zahlreichen Schlafmöglichkeiten. Es ist schön, morgens mit einer Tasse Kaffee auf dem Balkon zu sitzen und die wunderbare Aussicht zu genießen. Man merkt, dass hier einmal eine Familie gelebt hat – viele persönliche Details wie Familienfotos und einige Spielsachen lassen das Haus lebendig und charmant wirken. Viareggio ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar – besonders abends lohnt sich ein Spaziergang entlang der Promenade mit der großen Auswahl an Restaurants. Wer jedoch authentisch und sehr günstig essen möchte, dem empfehlen wir die Pizzeria Macedo in der Nähe. Dort gibt es Pizza oder Pasta für etwa 8.50 Euro in lebendiger, familiärer Dorfatmosphäre. Trotz der rundum sympathischen Gastgeber gibt es ein paar Dinge, die verbessert werden könnten: Das WLAN ist leider instabil und sehr langsam. Das hatte zur Folge, dass die Kreditkartenzahlung nicht funktionierte – das Kartenlesegerät konnte keine Verbindung aufbauen. Da die Geldautomaten in der Gegend oft auf 250 EUR limitiert sind und Bankschalter kein Bargeld auszahlen, war es nicht ganz einfach, ausreichend Bargeld zu bekommen. Der erste Urlaubstag war deshalb etwas stressiger als gewünscht. Außerdem hatte meine Frau leider mehrere typische Bettwanzen-Stiche an den Beinen. Zur Sicherheit empfehlen wir, Kleidung zu Hause für vier Tage in den Gefrierschrank zu legen und auch Koffer gründlich abzusaugen oder gegebenenfalls einzufrieren. Fazit: Trotz kleinerer Mängel hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit in einem Haus mit viel Charakter und ganz besonders freundlichen Gastgebern.
• Sebastian (9/5): - Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen mit Blick auf das Meer. Abgelegen genug um es sehr ruhig zu haben, aber auch nahe genug um in 10 Minuten per Auto alles Wichtige zu erreichen. Unser Host Mariangela ist die netteste und zuvorkommendste Frau, die gerne gute Tipps für Kulinarik, Kultur und Sonstiges gibt. Die Ausstattung ist großzügig und sauber. 3/4 Zimmer sind klimatisiert, das Pool ist sauber und die Gärten rund ums Haus gepflegt. Da es ein großes Haus ist und im Sommer bei toskanischen Temperaturen das Leben zwischen draußen und drinnen verschwimmt, sammeln sich sehr schnell Staub und auch Spinnweben an, was für manche vielleicht unsauber wirken mag. Für uns war das kein Problem, aufgefallen ist es uns trotzdem.
• Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - This stay was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Exceptionally nice and hospitable owners Mariangela and Carlo who made us feel at home. The breakfast prepared by Mariangela was out of this world, full of homemade and fresh goods. It was as if we were visiting our Italian family who gave us all they had. As a bonus, the accommodation was very clean, spacious, full of art and boasting beautiful views from its sunset terrace. Would definitely visit again!

With the warm welcome of hosts Mariangela and Carlo and their beautiful artistic villa overlooking the valley. Spacious room with a comfortable mattress, delicious and abundant breakfast (homemade and local products :)) Not to be missed when in the area!
• Don (10/5): Magnifico! - Magnificent! It felt like we were staying in an art gallery. The host Mariangela was so welcoming and sweet. Her companion Carlo is an accomplished poet and artist, plus a professor in art history. He was most gracious. Everything about the villa was first rate. There is no way that any other accommodation could match it. When we return to the area, we will book it far in advance to make sure we have that experience again. They also introduced us to a super chef and his restaurant nearby that served the best seafood we have ever had. If you get the chance to book their villa, jump at it. You will have the stay of your life. Are you kidding? Not one single thing.

• Susan (10/5): treat yourselves - just 5 mins off the autostrada this personal hotel/home was a very lovely find. owned by a renowned artist and his delightful wife the house is a treasure trove. the bedrooms luxuriously furnished, bathroom huge and warm and a gorgeous living room to use. great mattress meant a good nights sleep. breakfast felt like a feast, homemade and locally sourced products adorn the beautifully dressed table. definitely going to ensure our return drive to Greece passes through so we can stop there again. can’t think of a thing
