• Midas Wolter (1/5): Not worth it - The room looked like the picture and the host was friendly Our room was next to the front door and we our room couldn't lock from the inside (the door was just a screen). We havent slept all night because of the noise. The common room smelled like the sewer and the bed were rock hard. Not a great place to stay if you're having a flight the next day. Bathroom was okay, but had a lot of hair

Half the price of anywhere else we could find in central Seoul. The beds were rock hard it made my back very sore. Bathroom cleanliness wasn’t great.
• Marina (4/5): Disappointing - It was ok if you just want to spend a night there. To reach the bathroom you need to exit one building and enter another. The shower's ceiling is so low you have to bend. The shower exit is in front of another building 's kitchen table,so you have to kind of bother other guests by your wc visits from another building.We had a kitchen but no kettle (had to enter another building and use their kettle). The room had no fresh air because the window looked into the corridor.
• Noah (5/5): It seems like a low effort guesthouse. There is the bare minimum of things you need and nothing more - It is in good location. The room was good size. No garbage can in room. Wifi didn’t work in room. Bathroom is dirty. No paper-towel or napkins in kitchen. Mattress was too hard. Room was too hot. No body towel supplied.

Great location - bus stops on street outside, nearest subway less than 10 mins walk (Sookmyung women’s university is local stop + a really nice area too), place felt very safe, is a Korean guesthouse with shared kitchens/bathrooms etc. great to have kitchen and laundry facilities - manager helped with the laundry machine right away no problems. Vast majority of stay very quiet - we did have one night when neighbouring room was loud early hours but we texted the host and it was sorted - no further issues the next night. The bathroom was quite dirty/could do with cleaning more regularly.

Theres a kitchen and refrigerator for common use and everything was well maintained. Its also a very quiet neighborhood but your access to the convenience stores is right there. Check in was easy and were able to get in earlier even before check out time. I think everythings been provided.

• Bruce (6/5): Ok value for the money in Seoul. - Basic accommodation but you have everything you need. The property was close to a subway station and was in a quiet and safe area . The rooms weren’t very soundproof, we got woken several times in the night by next door neighbors. Not a great fan of self check in as we did not see anyone in the whole time we were there.

• Laura (10/5): Highly recommended! Good value stay! - We liked everything! Very easy self check-in, with password provided in advance by the owner, who was very kind. The house was perfect for us. Kind of backpacker style, with full equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, hot/cold water, etc. prefect to save some money cooking a little bit at home and not spending every meal out. Room was clean and comfy too. Location is good too. Five/ten minutes walking to the closest metro station. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Jinho! ☺️

We had a room next to the kitchen, we were afraid to hear noise from people cooking, but we were lucky, because it seemed not so many people went cooking there. The ceiling in the bathroom is really not for tall people :D! We did not have time to visit the bar of the owners, so maybe next time!

Jinho is a great host and made us feel very welcome, make sure you visit his bar The Black Whale around the corner for some fantastic food and drinks! The manager had no idea about our stay, since it was a self check in process, once we were inside sleeping the manager opened our bedroom door thinking we were inside without permission and asked to see our booking reservation, the bathroom has an extremely short ceiling and it’s not very clean. Also the room had a very bad smell once we got there.
• Lara (4/5): Cheap price, good location, but could use a little more cleaning and redecorating. - Host super friendly and helpful, always fast to respond to messages. Automatic lock with passcode, easy to check in and out. Loved the electric blanket, thank goodness it was there because it was really cold at night. Very close to Seoul station, a lot of cafés, convenience stores and restaurants around. Good Wi-Fi. Good kitchen with a big fridge and hot/cold water dispenser. I was in room 3. The floor under the beds was full of dust, hair and garbage, it had definitely not being cleaned for a while. The floor heating system didn't work well, so the room was colder than the rest of the place. No desk or chair in the room, only a low table, a wobbly shelf and a tiny mirror. The bathroom on my floor had a strong smell of sewage and the first night I saw bugs crawling around. This is a Korean thing, but the shower is in the middle of the bathroom, without any curtains, so when you shower you wet everything, toilet included. The bathroom on the 1st floor did have a curtain.

The ceiling of the bath to room no. 3 is really low. Communication needs to be better, as other guests were confused about communal spaces.

• Nadine (6/5): I would not go there again... - Nice communication with the owner. Late checkin was possible without any problems, as he sent us the code for the door and the room was open. The room and the toilet were very dirty. The bin with toilet paper was not even emtyed. We are not sure, but the toilet looked not cleaned as well. And the towels we got were dirty. We complained and got 3 new towels, but out of the 6 towels we received, only 2 were not dirty. This was the most dissapointing hostel we had on our whole 3 weeks trip out of 9 hostels.
• Elina (4/5): It’s cheap, don’t excpect much more. - Good location near many sights. The area is quiet and calm, next to an elementary school. There are convenience stores and many good restaurants nearby. The common areas are nice and spaceous. The two kitchens have everything needed for a short stay. It was hard to find the place despite looking at the map on Booking and even with Naver map. Our room was not tidy. The bed was littered with many different strands of hair. The room was very humid even with aircon. The whole property screamed of water damage, and by the second night my nose was itching. Blanket and our clothes were damp at all times. The wet bathroom was in the neighbouring unit. The roof was leaking and also very low. I couldn’t stand straight and I’m 177cm tall.

• Setya (10/5): Definitely on top of the list of Awesome Guest House in town! - Me and my friends needed a place to sleep near to Itaewon since we had a huge event the next morning. It would be too much for us to commute from our place at Incheon that early. And we found Jinho's Guest House. It's just 10 minutes away by bus from Seoul station and 10 minutes away by bus to Itaewon. Strategic! I love it that we had to do self check in cos we arrived almost midnight. Everything was prepared and we didn't have any trouble checking in. The staff contacted me before arrival about the self checking process. The room was spatious, clean, and comfortable. They even provided a kitchen! Totally worth the price! I didn't have problem with the accomodation or the staff. But since the accommodation was a guest house, we were sharing the building with another guests and we can never know what kind of guest we have next room. A very minor incident occured in the morning but it was nothing. At the end, the staff surprised me again with the kindness and dedication. I left my shirt in the room and the staff would send me the shirt through a package. That's awesome!!
