- Rohit (7/5): - Location No toilet papers in washroom
- Yasin (4/5): - There are few rooms there, room 3 bed wasn’t comfortable and pillow was horrible, and kettle was dirty when I tried to make a cup of tea, early checking out as well when we check in literally 4pm.
Location was great. Alarm sounding by the neighbours for long time
- Shelly (10/5): -
- Andrejus (9/5): -
- Nazarr (1/5): Terrible overpriced never ever stay in there again I will never recommend that place to anyone - The property was horrendous. It needs to be taken off of Booking.com. There are no staff to check out times are horrendous way overpriced and the people who run the company live in the hotel which is really terrible business I will never ever stay there again. I would never recommend it for anyone else. There’s nothing to like about this property is horrible overpriced no staff couldn’t even get extra pillow, the heating was on full blast so I sweated all night the plumbing was terrible because I kept hearing a flushing in a humming the light to the back garden kept coming on so I couldn’t sleep properly they tried to offer me a late checkout for £30. I obviously refused and the checkout time is ridiculous at 10:15 am. This hotel should not be on Booking.com. It is a surprise that you company has even put them on your website, it was horrifying.

- Salah (10/5): مكان جميل وهادء - هادء ونضيف جيد جدآ
- Cindy (4/5): disappointing for 100 pounds a night. - big bed no bins in the rooms or bathroom, asked if there was a haridryer and got no answer, (so i had to see for myself) no there was no hairdryer lol, there was a fan?? should have been something to heat the room up it was So cold. Staff/ Owners were dry
- Michael (1/5): - Leaving My stay at 4 Wharncliffe Drive was genuinely one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I travel frequently. The property is grossly misrepresented and appears to rely on misleading listings rather than basic standards of decency.
The most unacceptable issue was the mattress — filthy, worn out, and clearly long past replacement. It had been flipped to hide how bad it really was, leaving me effectively sleeping on what felt like the spring side. I woke up with significant back and neck pain, pain that persisted and disrupted the remainder of my trip. Renting out a room with a mattress in this condition is not just negligent, it’s deplorable.
Communication from the property managers was non-existent. Promises were made and then ignored. Requests for a later checkout and simple assistance were completely disregarded. When problems were raised, there was no urgency, no accountability, and no resolution — just silence.
The listing claims wheelchair accessibility, which is outright false. The property is a multi-storey townhouse with narrow stairs and no lift. Advertising this as accessible is misleading at best and dangerous at worst.
Basic amenities were either missing or laughably inadequate. No coffee machine, inadequate kitchenware that looked like op-shop rejects, broken or poorly maintained fixtures, and general neglect throughout. Safety is also questionable — unclear or missing fire and/or carbon monoxide alarms, no visible fire extinguishers, and an overall sense that compliance is an afterthought.
The outdoor area was untidy and unpleasant, with old rubbish and broken items left in view. Even simple things like toilet roll holders were missing — a small detail, but telling of the overall lack of care.
What makes this experience worse is that the property continues to be advertised at a standard it absolutely does not meet.
- Harshini (4/5): It was an uncomfortable stay as the room was very small and shouldn’t have market it as a double room. We feel deceived - The location The size of the room and it was not the same room shown in the pictures

- Aimee (6/5): Average stay - Location was convenient as was in the area. They allowed be to check in an hour early which was nice. It’s a little like staying at your little brothers share house — the only thing you really know is clean are the bedsheets because you saw him wash them. Bed was very uncomfortable. Kitchen smelled and kettle was super dirty.

- Jacqueline (5/5): Passable - No TV No heating. No clothes racķto dry No Tea coffee
- Jacqueline (6/5): Pleasant - No heating, no TV
- Uluso (1/5): Horrible night
Badd - Nothing Everything I dint get the code for the door
- Ayobami (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marianne (3/5): Beware - Not as advertised! - The property is close to a bus stop. It has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area in garden. Not as advertised! There is NO hot tube as claimed. There is NO bath as claimed, the bath does not have a plug so it can only be used as a shower. There is NO hot water, even when the hot water was “fixed” the thermostat setting for the water was still set so the water is not freezing but still not hot water. They are not non-smoking rooms as advertised. Our room stunk of tobacco smoke. It does not feel “isolated” and safe as advertised. We were kept awake at night by a woman making loud performative sex noises as if filming for a porn site. If it was normal sex then the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything and it keeps you awake at night as it’s so loud - Not relaxing and not safe feeling. There is no room to put food in the fridge. The rubbish bins were overflowing when we arrived. There are rolled tobacco cigarette dog ends all over the back garden thrown on the floor which were not cleared up even after informing the owner.
- Erton (1/5): Bad - Nothing Dirty mattress.old bedding’s.alarm went off midnight.boiler didn’t work 24 hours and none cared.been told not to park there and there was 3 empty parking spots .
- Local (10/5): book this worth ur money mun - Everything you could think off nothing
- Przemyslaw (6/5): Pleasant -
- Seble (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanita (1/5): Bad - Property was destroyed by people who stayed there, smoking and partying inside Smell and noise all night long
- Al (9/5): Superb -
- Sk (3/5): Poor - Quiet Unclean back patio
- Kant (7/5): Good -
- Sk (6/5): Pleasant - Location Liked everything
- Jacqueline (6/5): Pleasant - Not sure Can't really say.
- Marie (5/5): Passable -
- Farid (8/5): Very good. - A very good place, I stayed there for almost two months! The host is really proactive in solving any issues that may arise. The cleaning personnel does a wonderful job maintaining the cleanliness of the place. Soundproofing perhaps, but for a short stay it isn't too bad.
- Ilias (1/5): Bad - I regret Disrespect staff
Cause the make off heater
Not clean 9
- Jack (1/5): Bad - Incorrect description about parking on original booking - said there wasn't free parking but didn't say there was no parking when I asked for consideration to be taken for a reduced fee for cancellation I simply got a no back from the owner even though booking.com said they would reach out to them for an exception to this.
- Renell (7/5): It was okay - Comfortable, room is nice, close to hospital, bus stops, Elizabeth train line & has a shop with everything you need nearby. Other guests steal your groceries, snack , drinks anything they can get their hands on in the main fridge, store your stuff in your room. First day after my shower went back to the bathroom to get my full bottle of body wash & soap dish “the cleaner threw it away”. There was also this creepy guy that sits on the stairways watching videos or movies very loud in front my room door, uses obscenity loudly while speaking on the phone, slams the cupboard doors, acts very angry, also sits in the kitchen with a chair which I don’t use the kitchen when he’s around because he always tries to hit on you, when I reported this behaviour to the property owner they called him & I can hear him arguing & lying to them on the phone, he continued to behave the same way regardless of reporting him, I was not pleased with that guest at all. As a young lady renting on her own that’s the only thing that made me feel unsafe. Very thin pillows I had to buy an extra pillow to sleep well during my stay & in room #1 first floor prepare to hear footsteps & dropping of stuff from the room over your head.
- Junaid (3/5): Never again - Location was great, instructions were clear except bathroom sharing. Rooms were not clean, furniture in the room was broken and dusty. Furniture in the room was not what shown in pictures. Information about the shared bathroom was incorrect. I was staying on ground floor with shared bathroom with another room, that was actually being used by everyone staying in the building.
People were using load music in the property. I stayed for the purpose of work and for the all above reasons it made my stay horrible.
- Travel (7/5): Good -
- Mohammed (1/5): اThe rooms are only suitable for sleeping and do not provide comfort for those looking for it - The room was very small The people staying were very bad One of the people living entered the bathroom. He did not close the door behind him This caused my wife to panic and we left on the first day The kitchen was very dirty and disgusting The room is completely uncomfortable. The noise was unexpectedly very loud. Until someone walks, the sound becomes very clear
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bella (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (9/5): This was a good spot for us to stay to be able to go in to London on the Elizabeth line whilst being affordable. - The property was a 10 minute walk to Hanwell station and there was a bus stop less than 2 minute walk away. There was initially an issue with the heating but the property owner was very quick to get someone out to fix it. It was great having a sink in our room and the bedroom was large. You are very reliant on other guests keeping the shared areas clean. Unfortunately when we were staying, the kitchen was often dirty, some of our food was taken from the fridge and the kitchen was not very well supplied with plates or cutlery.
- Takahisa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marzia (1/5): horrible, to avoid absolutely - the room has never been cleaned, the bathroom was always dirty and running out of paper.
There were drunken people all the time, many nights I could hear screemong from next doors.
Even if I informed the manager of the structure nothing was done, they tried to minimize everything,
not worth the price and absolutely not for women staying alone there
- Janarthanan (8/5): Very good -
- Gustavo (3/5): Awful customer service. Drunk people living inside. - Stayed for over a month, management is lazy and lacks customer service, requested mid stay a second bed linen and they questioned me about it, even asked me to just use the original on the washing machine. Awful !
Also they allow drunk people, only living there long term, the guy is an absolute nightmare, shouting out loud at 4 am on any given day.
- Bella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wu (5/5): Nice choice if you don't use kitchen and don't mind a small room, otherwise you deserve a better one - The bathroom is good, I enjoyed taking a bath there.
Overall, it's a quiet place, although I can hear train passing and someone speaking loudly next door, it's not a big deal.
I arrived earlier than check-in time, after calling the staff, I was given a temporary code to enter the property and put my suitcase. I appreciate that.
I met a fire alarm and a power cut on ground floor. The staff told me how to fix them. Quick response. But when I called the number offered by bookings, the staff always responded with "could you pls text me". I know it was at night (8 or 9pm) but I wouldn't call if I met situations that need to be dealt with promptly. FALSE advertising about the size of the room. See the picture, it says the room is 22 m^2 but anyone who steps inside the room (ROOM 4) can find it only has 10 to 12 m^2. If I know the room is so small, I won't book for so long. The wardrobe in the room is so huge and unnecessary, the landlord should replace it with a small one so the room can looks larger.
Kitchen is not cleaned timely. There are around 6 rooms in this property so the landlord should expect the kitchen is frequently used. I cleaned my own dishes and all other mess every time, but not everyone did so. Even if I can ignore the mess on the kitchen countertops, the garbage in the kitchen didn't get cleaned timely. I throw 3 bags of garbage because there were so many garbage that it overflowed the trash can. There is not trash bag so I cannot use the trash can after I throw them. I just use the Lidl bag provided. Didn't contact landlord about this since I was about to leave.
The frige is too small for a homestay with 6 rooms. It was always full even if I throw some out-of-date food. So, I cannot buy too much food because there was no room in the fridge.
There is no table in the kitchen, only one in the backyard. I knew it when I booked, so not a big deal.
- Mohamed (5/5): Passable - Easy to get in. Room and sink were okay apart from the super slim pillows. Clean towels were provided. Felt generally safe. Good location since I wanted to be in around Ealing/Hanwell. There’s a neighbor or a guest who kept “wailing” late at night. The kitchen was almost never cleaned during the week I stayed.
- Teeraj (7/5): Good -
- Phil (8/5): Nice pleasant stay in a reasonable area - The accommodation in Hanwell was good. The room I had was the top floor of the house, which did mean sets of stairs to climb. The stairs are a little tight and awkward. They're a little difficult if you're lugging big bags around. Or doing lots of things in the shared kitchen, which is on the bottom floor. But for solo travellers with minimal belongings like myself, it was OK.
The kitchen had pretty much everything you needed to make meals. The room did have its own little fridge as well, which I found really handy for storing my own things away from the shared kitchen fridge. A washing machine sits in kitchen on bottom floor. Next to the bedroom there is a bathroom, which I found quite reasonable. A cleaner also pops in during the week, so the place seems to be kept well.
The accommodation was about 13 minutes walk from the Hanwell train station. There's also some supermarkets within a ten minute walk up the road, and a couple of eateries around there as well. I didn't use public transport so can't say much on that, but the accommodation sits just off around the corner from a main road.
For my short term stay, it was good. Would stay again. A nit-pick, but there were a few sirens throughout the night from the hospital across the road. Sometimes they were in the early morning hours.
- Moman (2/5): Very poor -
- Danso (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maksymiv (6/5): Pleasant -
- Janette (5/5): Cheap, cramped but functional if dont expect much - A cheap option near a critical bus stop for going into London, etc. Was a very basic room and general renovations were a bit strange. They have a lot of renters for the size house. Felt very cramped. Kitchen was not as easy to use or be in as fotos suggest. (Double kitchen with washing machine all in the same room).
Room lacked basic furniture (a chair to go with the desk) and the patio in the fotos didnt have furniture to sit on. Could be furnished much better for an improved experience.
You are essentially "living" with up to 8 other guests who are not always considerate. We had another guest who had a very loud argument one night at 12pm and I was slightly concerned for my safety as it became very intense, considered calling police. The hallway and rooms are so close to eachother you hear everything and the price point likely attracts a large range of people.
- Marina (7/5): Overall a great short stay - The cleaner would visit everyday and clear the property.
The bed was super comfortable.

- Alastair (9/5): Great Value For Money - Very easy and quick communication. There was a shop right next door which was very helpful and the Elizabeth line was only a 10 minute walk away through a lovely park. The whole place was well kept and pleasant to stay in. The pillows were paper thin and only one was provided per person.
- Gunanayagam (10/5): Good - Good Good
- Diomin (10/5): Exceptional - Satisfied.
Thanks Satisfied. Thanks
- Gagandeep (1/5): Horrible never again - Nothing No to no entertainment no one can have a general convocation very crampy
- Karandeep (10/5): Exceptional - All expectations I had was sorted and arranged by the host. Communication good. Little demands I had was sorted. Will book again
- Pasquale (5/5): Passable - Nice and clean room, to many stairs to reach the room though. The Landlord changed the code of the door and I wasn't informed, I had to wait 1 hour outside and nobody of the tenants open my door. Fortunately I managed to get it.
my experience overall was good , but this episode it disapointed me a lot.
