Delicious breakfast, with a wealth of fresh fruits, cheeses, meats, and pastries in a charming garden side setting - the best breakfast of our 30 day camino. Friendly and helpful hostess who assisted with our every request. A location very near the cathedral yet amazingly quiet.

Habitación amplia y cómoda, súper limpia, sin nada de ruido pese a estar muy céntrica. A 2’ de la catedral de Santiago subiendo la calle. Un jardín con una cafetería muy acogedora, donde se toma el desayuno y se sirven cafés y cócteles estupendos. Un 10, ¡volveremos!

Likewise, the view of the beautiful garden where I had an excellent breakfast in the garden room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room would have benefited from a table and chair for writing or computer work but this is a minor point.

Quiet street but easy walk to everything. Staff were communicative and very accommodating. Lovely breakfast in the morning! Important to note this isn’t a fully staffed facility, if a front desk is important to you. I didn’t have any issues or needs that weren’t met.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious.served in a very attractive building in the large garden. Ines and Sara could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Great location, short walk to the Cathedral. Starting breakfast a little earlier than 9am would be helpful especially when walking the Camino. And perhaps some hot egg dishes for breakfast.

Nothing - pretty much perfect for a few days stay in Santiago de Compostela. I suppose the only very slight negative was the value for money for breakfast - but that’s down to personal choice.

• Juan Diego (9/5): Beautiful cozy room, very close to the action - Location is impressive. I loved the rustic touch of the room , but at the same time with all the modern systems like smart TV and smart heating that made our time in the accommodation very pleasant. Beds are very comfortable which was what we needed after a long journey on the plane. We will come back again! We would have liked to have some logs to burn at our disposal as it was the perfect weather to lit the fireplace and look at the beautiful Santiago skyline through the window.

Se nota el cuidado en cada detalle, lo que hizo que nos sintiéramos como en casa desde el primer momento. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue excelente: amable, rápida y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. • LOUIE (9/5): Excellent stay all around. - The place is a wonderful respite from the crowd of tourists and pilgrims. Our room was spacious and I felt I could relax once I was inside. The cafe/bar served a wonderful breakfast and the staff made it feel so personalized. We also came for some wine and cheese in the late afternoon before heading out to dinner. The bathroom in our room was a little tight but workable. My only issue is the latch to open the door from the inside was a challenge. I could never get it to open so my husband had to be around if I had to use the bathroom.

• Pedro (9/5): Muy buen hotel y ubicación, muy recomendable. - Muy lindo hotel y muy bien ubicado, las personas que atienden son muy serviciales y atentas, el desayuno estuvo muy bien en un lugar muy lindo, en general todo estuvo muy bien, un cuarto cómodo y la cama también muy cómoda, el baño bien con una ducha con poco caudal de agua. Podrían dar mejores indicaciones para el que va en auto, como por ejemplo dejar un link con la ubicación del estacionamiento y del estacionamiento indicaciones como llegar al hotel, si bien cuando uno lo hace es fácil, la primera vez es muy complicado.

The communication was all over WhatsApp, and it was efficient and clear. Loved the accomodations, but I wanted to note that transportation in Santiago de Compostale is quite limited. Uber was not available (though the Uber site claims it is), and cabs are not reliable. We made the 20 min walk with luggage to the train station as there didn't seem to be any other options. So, please plan accordingly!

The garden area was a hidden gem—peaceful, green, and the perfect spot to relax after exploring the city’s cobblestone streets and majestic cathedral. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. The staff went above and beyond each day, offering excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing that enriched our visit. What truly sets the Tailor’s Garden apart is the sense of care and authenticity. You don’t feel like just another guest—you feel like part of their story. If you’re coming to Santiago, whether for the Camino de Santiago or simply to experience this magical city, this hotel is the perfect choice. Highly recommended—I would return without hesitation! It was hard to say goodbye! We truly wish we could have extended our stay to soak in more of the Tailor’s Garden Hotel experience—the comfort, the hospitality, and the charm of Santiago all came together so beautifully that leaving feels far too soon. Without question, we’ll be back.

• sinead (10/5): Fantastic Gem of a Hotel ❤️ - I couldn't recommend this hotel enough, the photography is an accurate representation of the stunning rooms, gardens and lounge. The room is like an apartment, fantastic size, good bed, good AC and then a nest to control the heating if you were visiting in cooler weather. It's very peaceful and quiet and comfortable, tucked off a small cobbled street but very close to everything you need. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, the cocktails in the garden were fabulous and the breakfast in the morning was a lovely fresh homemade continental style buffet with great coffee. We were able to store our luggage for the day so we could walk around after checkout and before our flight which was very much appreciated as it's a small boutique hotel. Nothing at all, definitely book here!

• Vilija (9/5): Beautiful and central spot in Santiago with quiet garden oasis - Very convenient location steps away from the Cathedral / town centre, Alameda park and parking. Beautiful interior, clean spacious rooms and great service (daily cleaning and turndown). Very kind and polite staff, responsive and helpful communication via whatsapp. Beautiful quiet garden. We were also provided with ~20% discount for parking Our room was facing the street which meant it was a bit loud during morning hours (while traffic is limited to authorised vehicles only which also means you cannot arrive at the property by car (have to park it elsewhere), the stonework somehow echos traffic more so than a regular road. While breakfast buffet can be arranged with notice 1 day in advance for €16 per person, it seemed to be rather complicated exercise and also limited to continental European breakfast (i.e. no scrambled eggs etc). Instead we elected to visit nearby Cafe Tertulia (2 min down the street, fast service and great food) and grab takeaway coffees and sandwiches and eat at the garden instead where we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings and morning quiet. This was ~€15 for two and the hotel staff was super accommodating with cutlery / plates etc. All in all great outcome, but worth mentioning to consider that in advance. Finally, despite the property being truly beautiful, well designed and maintained, and super conveniently located, we thought the price was a bit on the higher side (at €235 / night we would expect a few more amenities such as gym, perhaps a pool and definitely a full breakfast service with menu for eggs / other hot alternatives to chose from). Not sure how full the hotel was during our stay, but we haven’t seen any other guests ourselves
