Guest Reviews
- Rima (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything was perfect, the cottage itself so nicely made, the decor, all attention to details which makes cottage so cozy, rooms spacious, beds so comfortable, well equipped kitchen, jacuzzi, also outside kitchen, big garden. It was so relaxing.
Thank you to owners.
And definitely recommend this cottage to everyone. Everything was perfect
- April (10/5): - Beautifully presented and homely. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need The plug in the bathroom sink leaked so it was difficult to wash but this wasn't a major issue
- Andrea (10/5): It is a luxury home in the nature. We can only offer it for everyone. - It placed definitely in the nature. Very quiet. We loved it. All was amazing.
- Carly (9/5): Cosy place and quiet location with plenty of room! we loved our stay here - Lots of room and a massive garden the dogs loved running around in. Really enjoyed the hot tub after some long hikes! It was a cosy place in a quiet location but not too far a drive to get anywhere. Only one bathroom, could have done with two. Also the shower wasn’t very powerful at all
- Laura (8/5): A lovely peaceful location - The location was peaceful with lovely views The shower overran due to a clogged shower trap. The curtain pole in the downstairs bedroom came away from the wall when we closed the curtain
- Valerie (8/5): -
- Brian (7/5): - Nice location, very spacious, big rooms everything you needed in the kitchen Needed flood lights outside to make it easier to let your dogs out in the dark and walk to the hot tub.
Shower leaked water was overflowing from the shower. I had to clean the drain to unblock all the clogged hair that was blocking it.
Cob webs in the bathroom couod of been cleaned .
- Anita (9/5): Perfect place to relax and wake up to the sound of cows. - Lovely location, very quiet but a short drive to Abergevanny. Very comfortable living area and bedrooms with plenty of space. Well equipped, plenty of towels and extras for the dogs. Large garden and great having side access to the utility and sink for cleaning up before accessing main areas. Hot tub is a nice addition to come back to after a 3hr hike. We loved it all
- Pieter (9/5): Prachtige rustige locatie en dicht bij een leuk stadje. - Goede service en de ruimte. Niks.
- john (10/5): Words cat describe how amazing this place is! We will be back very soon - Amazing cottage in an amazing place No issue what so ever
- Lucy (9/5): Perfect location for a wedding. Amazing facilities especially the hot tub. Beautifully decorated -
- Mattheus (9/5): - Very calm and remote. Spacious. Lovely kitchen and facilities, 5 min drive from Abergavenny. Very kind of the owners to provide sault/pepper/tea/dishwasher tablets, etc. for our needs. Highly recommend it for travelling as a group or a large family. one small remark, not on the house, but overall: pls mind to print out codes upfront, as public internet/data connection in S.Wales is barely existing. so, before going there download address/codes to get the keys - EVERYTHING!
- Bater (7/5): Family stay for wedding - Beautiful gardens, good hot tub, well appointed kitchen, nice dining room. Good sized bedrooms. Reasonable sized living room. Good WiFi. Nice furniture. Only one bathroom for up to eight people was not manageable. Second toilet had no hand washing facilities, not hygienic. Lounge area could not seat eight people only two sofas. Mattresses very soft and springy, not comfortable. Some areas of the property in need of maintenance. The outdoor dining area only had five seats not eight.

- Joe (3/5): Poor -
- Jan (8/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely big rooms, massive garden for the dogs, everything you needed was available. No phone signal, there was a beeping noise in the kitchen.
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely stay in a beautiful location - Lovely property in a beautiful rural location. Lots of space for 6 people and very well equipped. Unfortunately, due to having so many bins in the kitchen, one hadn’t been emptied and there was an oven tray with oil left in the oven. Really little picky things, but overall nothing major.
- Claire (7/5): Good -
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (10/5): Lovely stay away from home. - Accommodation was lovely and roomy, with everything you needed and it made you feel nice and relaxed. It even had the added little touch of a Christmas tree in the living room. The garden was enclosed and great for the dogs, and even though the weather was awful (Storm Darragh) there were entrances located to the back of the property where the dogs could enter near the utility area and towels were provided to clean them. We had a lovely stay, despite the weather, in fact it was very cosy. Would go again sometime. Nothing bad to say.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (10/5): Home from home - Spacious and ideal for our needs. Host are very accommodating as we were attending our daughter's wedding but also hosting an extra dog for the night and family lunch after the wedding so lots of comings and going plenty of parking and easy access. It was a bit muddy in the lanes but you can't help the weather
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milkah (9/5): Absolutely wonderful, would go back again and will refer friends and w - Location was gorgeous. They had a hot tub overlooking the stunning view. Lots of beautiful fruit trees snd well manicured bushes. Very large accommodation had everything you need in ahome. Large parking space
Very clean and homely. Wardrobe were dusty especially at the top , cleaner needs to be more detailed. Toilet seat needs to be replaced.
Would have preferred there to be an upstairs toilet too
Beautiful sofas but unable to use them as they were too sunken and soft. They need to be more firm.
Internet was on and off, a bit frustrating but everywhere we went In wales internet was a problem. Seems more of a national wales issue
- Clare (8/5): Had a great stay would stay again. - Very well equipped, very comfortable. Garden was great for my dog all secure. Towels included and even towels for the dog. Location is good only 10mins drive to nearest shop. Had a problem with the tv which was quickly sorted out by the owner. Nothing
- Jordan (9/5): Superb -
- Saffron (8/5): Soooooooo lovely! - I loved my stay here. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, with nice touches like chocolates on the bed. The hot tub was lush and the nearby sitting area was very useful. The large kitchen had all the necessary utilities, plus some basic food supplies. The huge garden was perfect for sports. Also the beds were super comfortable! Overall, it was a fantastic experience. It's obviously not the accommodations fault but I had no signal the entire time. Also chlorine would've been appreciated to keep on top of hot tub maintenance since it wasn't as nice by the third day.
- Leila (10/5): Excellent find!! We will definitely be returning 🥰 - The property was very spacious and set in a beautiful quiet location but not too far from the town. There was 6 of us and two dogs and it had everything that met our needs. The host Jay was amazing and very accommodating, the jacuzzi was 10/10. The grounds wrapped around the property and are enclosed so we felt assured that the pups could run around outside without escaping!! It had been newly renovated and the furniture and upholstery was to good taste! All in all a great find!! Can’t really fault it and wouldn’t want to, as we all had such a lovely weekend together!
- Simon (9/5): Superb - To be in such a quiet and relaxing location but only a 5 minute drive to the main town was perfect. The dogs preferred running around the garden rather than going for a walk. Slept so well and wish we had stayed longer.
- Rachael (10/5): This is a perfect location to take a proper break. - Very quiet and relaxing, very dog friendly. Television didn’t work (wouldn’t connect to wifi).
- Emma-lee (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): We had a lovely comfortable stay - Everything was great Had problems with TV snd no radio and need information book on how to work central heating,
- Nicholas (5/5): Overpriced for what it is - Good sized kitchen & very comfortable lounge. Big plot, secluded, plenty of parking, easy access + check in/out. Location pretty good as we wanted something near Abergavenny as other family members staying nearby. Generally good sized comfortable property. Would be a good base for 2 or 3 couples exploring the area by bike or for walking. A few things let this place down a bit. First, there is one main bathroom with shower only. Whilst the shower looks quite big, it's quite awkward to get in and out, and the shower unit is what you'd expect in a caravan, not a house - especially at £500 a night (the head droops and points at the wall). Then, the smell... whilst many folk may like it (especially for masking dog smells), the autistic members of my family baulked at the pungent air freshener diffuser aromas. Also the towels are steeped in pungent fabric conditioner- even I held my breath whilst drying face/hair. Further, one of the bedroom doors won't close properly and makes extremely loud squeaking noises if you try, and throughout (from inside wardrobes to cutlery to smeared windows) the standard of cleanliness was a bit below par, especially considering the high nightly price. Put it this way, my wife didn't feel comfortable unpacking her clothes and had 2 largely sleepless nights, and my daughter refused to eat anything whilst we were there after our first breakfast, and wanted to go home. There were good things about the property - and we didn't try the hot tub - but for what it is, the nightly price should be at most half what it is.
- Jeni (4/5): Disappointing - Quiet location. No wifi for half of our stay. No hot water on the second morning. Quite a tired property, needs updating.
- Martin (9/5): Superb - Location was nice and quiet would definitely use again.
- Denise (9/5): Superb - We had a lovely weekend staying in beautiful surroundings. The garden is very very big and secure with mature shrubs and trees lovely to sit outside in the morning with a cup of coffee just listening to the birds and the hot tub is a definite bonus!! The house its self is spacious and beautifully decorated and has everything (and more) that is needed. Would definitely recommend and definitely go back! Not a dislike but i feel that the house name signs at entrance need to be bigger and kept clear as very easily missed when looking for property.
- Kempi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (8/5): nice secluded house in the countryside. lovely decor. - secluded quiet location in the countryside. very clean. nice decor. kitchen has all you need. dog friendly. lot's of great walks near there house. the water in the shower needs improvement. little water spray and difficult to control temperature.
- Joe (8/5): Great place to stay in the countryside. - Very spacious with lovely size bedrooms and very comfy beds. It had all the facilities we needed and is plenty big enough for a family.
