- Connor (4/5): Great if you want to be watched all weekend and told what to do - The rural location and surrounding walks were stunning. From the moment we pulled up, we felt like we had zero privacy. The property is right next to the owner's (very cleverly obscured on the photos might I add, don't be fooled!) and there are no fences separating the properties. You cannot use the hot tub without leaving through the front door which is in direct view of the owner's property. This is not ideal for people who are body conscious. The hot tub is also situated right next to the owner's back garden. Their family was in the garden when we got there so we didn't feel comfortable using it. Aside from that, to be told you cannot even smoke or vape OUTSIDE the property was a joke... and not until the day of arrival I might add! Why not make this crystal clear in the ad? And why try to make it look like the property is private when you clearly want to watch everything people do?! This is completely misleading. There were also silly rules such as "no petting in the hot tub." Not that this is something we'd personally do anyway, but to spell it out like that just seemed weird. More to the point, if you don't want to watch people in the hot tub, why put it in direct view of your garden? People want to come away and feel like they're at a "home from home," not to be told what they can and can't do like a bunch of school children. As a result, we felt like we couldn't relax all weekend. Absolutely under no circumstances would we stay here again!
- Gina (10/5): Simply Stunning - Everything! The rural location is stunning and so peaceful and it was a joy to watch the sheep grazing. The lodge is lovely and so comfortable - the sofa is something else!! The beds are comfortable, you have everything you need in the kitchen and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Communications from Sarah and Alan were excellent and timely, there's parking on site and the goodies that were left were delucious! We definitely will be back! It's a shame the hot tub was out of order but it didn't ruin our stay as everything else was perfect.
- Paul (10/5): Excellent time - Area, views, sheep & hot tub

- Adele (9/5): Fabulous little spot for a peaceful/restful stay and to enjoying nature - We had a great stay at the lodge! Our highlight was meeting the host’s horses and black nose sheep! Sarah was more than happy to spend time allowing us to meet the animals and telling us all about their individual backgrounds and personalities! The lodge is well equipped, spacious, clean and well maintained. The hosts were communicative and clear that we could ask if we needed anything as they are on site, just next door (but with enough space for the stay to few private).
Sarah gave us a great recommendation for a scenic walk from the lodge to a gorgeous little cafe/restaurant/wine shop/deli called Define! We would highly recommend this. We had a very peaceful, restful stay and would definitely recommend and return! 😊 the views from the lodge were lovely, especially as the sun was shining early morning whilst drinking a coffee 😊😊 N/A
- Erin (8/5): Lovely stay would stay again - Very clean and a lovely quiet rural area. Peaceful stay and lovely walks around the place. Was a lot less private than I thought, it does have its own door to the lodge but It’s not far enough to be classed as private.
- David (10/5): Wouldn’t think twice about booking the lodge again. Clean and tidy, such a nice cosy place. - Really nice well kept place. No issues with the property what so ever.
- iasha (10/5): The lodge itself was such a peaceful and welcoming place to relax. It was especially lovely meeting the sheep and horses - The lodge was cosy and beautiful.
- david (10/5): Excellent will be returning to this wonderful lodge - Wonderful location so peaceful All done to a very high standard with everything you needed hot tub was wonderful

- Peter (9/5): - Really enjoyed our stay lovely place, very clean and well kept, beautiful location where it is very pretty out look, jacuzzi was fabulous, left alone to chill, it would have been nice to have a bit of a greeting from the hosts, lovely walks nearby a lake where you can see Herin, not much in the little village only a pub and school no shops to call anything, The hosts could have been a bit more welcoming on arrival, they live next door and was lovely to have our privacy through out our stay, not attached enough space to be private, I would go back very nice, we went for two nights which wasn't as cost efficient as booking a week, but not much in the area to see so was a nice break for us.

- Hayley (10/5): Had a brilliant stay at the lodge — cozy, welcoming, and unforgettable! - Owners very friendly. The lodge was very clean upon arrival. Also a complementary welcome gift which make it even more welcoming. Felt relaxed and just overall loved our stay. I wouldn’t say there’s anything we dis-liked the only thing I’d change is the temperature on the hot tub as we found it too hot and couldn’t stay in it for too long. That’s just minor though and didn’t ruin our stay.
- Gina (10/5): - Absolutely everything! The lodge is amazing, and the hot tub a delight. There's a well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, incredibly comfy sofa and beds all in a stunning setting. Having to leave and not having the time to take up the offer of the hosts to meet the farm animals. Will have to put that right on our next visit.
- Kerry (10/5): We stayed while volunteering with DIY SOS big build at The Joshua Tree centre. It was lovely to be able to return and us - Location and hottub It was all perfect
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Peter (9/5): Excellent, modern and comfortable accommodation. - Hi - spec lodge in a quiet and beautiful location. Very comfortable beds and a relaxed feel throughout. Clean and hot hot-tub and nice decking area. Well equipped kitchen including a wine chiller. Overall, a great place to stay with countryside walks without the need to get in the car. En-suite shower water was too hot and didn’t seem to change with regulation. Would have been nice to open bathroom window which was locked.
- Jill & John (9/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): Comfortable, friendly, peaceful and clean. - Quiet, rural and a great location for Oulton Park. Really friendly owners and if we didn’t have to go to work we’d have happily stayed longer and had a dip in the hot tub. If I had to find a fault I’d say there was no tea towel. But if we’d asked we’d have got one. Nothing really not to like.
- Shaun (10/5): 100% will stay again. - The lodge was in a great location and so clean. There was lots of space and the hot tub was great too. Will definitely be looking to book again. Nothing
- Natalie (7/5): Lovely place beds really comfortable to. Sarah and Alan were really nice and very helpful - Lodge was lovely and done to a high standard Could not get tv in living area to work
- Yvonne (10/5): Beautiful location and lodge - beautiful location and lodge, everything you could need and more. Very friendly welcome from the sheep 🐑❤️ Nothing, everything was great, perhaps slightly niggle with working the TV but that didn't cause any major issues
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyndsay (9/5): Superb place to relax, recharge and enjoy a little family getaway - The location was fantastic for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Very remote but with some beautiful walks to enjoy. The garden was particularly spacious which was great for two boys who love playing outside. The lodge was spotless on arrival and the hosts were amazing throughout, nothing was too much hassle. The welcome pack on arrival was fantastic. We really appreciated the little touches that the hosts thought about. Our animal neighbours were a welcome sight first thing in the morning. Highlight was being able to sit outside on decking with a cup of tea in the morning, with not a soul in sight and the sun in the sky. We didn't really get to use the tvs as couldn't really get the living room one to work very well (probably said more about us than the property)!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything , comfortable everything you need x Hot tub needs to be made more private as there is a road at the side where cars and walkers walk by I didn't like that , it just needs a screen on that side and somewhere to bring your drinks out and leave somewhere
- Jordan (9/5): A pleasant 3 nights in a quiet rural area and plenty of things to do within 30 mins of the property. -
- Sonia (9/5): Very relaxing Just what we needed - Couldn’t ask for more, everything we needed Na
- Lauren (10/5): Thank you Sarah and Alan for a wonderful stay! - The lodge was very clean and comfortable!
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, we enjoyed meeting the animals and the hot tub. Nothing!
- Chanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Beautiful lodge No lights by the hot tub
Spider webs in twin room
- Juliet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Clare (10/5): Perfect getaway - Lodge is beautiful, so comfortable, clean and cosy. Kitchen is very well equipped. We just relaxed from the moment we arrived to when we left. Hot tub just makes it all the more enjoyable. Sarah and Alan are the perfect hosts, excellent communication, lovely welcome basket and they checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is beautiful, amazing sunsets across the fields and so peaceful. We would love to return. Nothing at all.
- Kirstie (6/5): Pleasant - Very modern and clean spacious lodge with lovely spacious room The Internet didn't work for the TV in the living area so unfortunately we couldn't watch a film as planned, they tried to fix but it wouldn't work so we unfortunately had to go to bed early to watch a film which was a shame as wanted to make use of the large sofa and seating area. The hottub could definitely do with an enclosure around it especially as there is a dog walking path next to it and the owners house the other side you are extremely exposed and we only sat in it for 10 mins as felt very on show.
- Hilary (9/5): We had a cosy family stay close to family and it was perfect - hot tub
comfy mattress
rural view Lights in the en suite bathroom
No hooks for towels at hot tub
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (9/5): Great, comfortable stay - It was clean, spacious and well equipped. Nothing - it was great!
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - Comfort, cleanliness, hot tub.
- Emrul (8/5): Very good -
- Ravinder (9/5): Best little weekend away with a baby - Everything you need for a home away from home. The views are superb and the sheep across the road were fab to watch with a morning coffee on the balcony. Hot tub could have a little bit more privacy.
- Georgia (10/5): Would definitely return! - Me and my Mum stayed in this cabin for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The interior is done to a high spec and is really cosy - we didn't want for anything! The little veranda overlooks a field of sheep which was so nice to wake up to and Chester was only a 20 min drive away. The hosts were so helpful - would definitely recommend this place
- Anne-marie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
Lovely welcome package
Hot tub
Comfortable
- Rachel (9/5): Nice, Peaceful & Relaxing Stay With Hot Tub - Space in living areas. Hot tub. Beds a little too small for us.
- Abbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alaine (9/5): Lovely relaxing short break - The lodge is amazing, so stylish but also comfy & cosy. Everything was really clean. Everything you need for a relaxing break. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of each day. So nice to wake up & see the sheep in the field & little rabbits around the lodge
- Sonya (8/5): Very good - Loved the location very tranquil
- Gary` (5/5): Passable - House was clean and tidy The house was next door actually in the garden of the house of the owner so not the remote setting off the pictures there were also.9.till.9 rules on the hot tub(not ideal) plus another long list of dos and don't.
- Daryl (10/5): Relaxing break! Just what we needed. - Lovely stay, we were provided with fresh bread, jam, milk and a little bottle of Prosecco, which we thought was a lovely touch.
Check in was really easy, keys were left for us to collect. The lodge was clean and had everything you could need and more. The hot tub was ready for us to use straight away, if we wished. The bed was so comfortable, we actually checked out the mattress to buy for home!!
The location was great and the animals were great to look at and listen too.
Would definitely recommend and can’t wait for a return visit.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): A little piece of heaven - The lodge is quite simply stunning. The pictures do not show quite how lovely it is. Everything is finished to such a high spec, and it is equipt with everything you could need and more.
The hot tub was all ready for our arrival. The beds were extremely comfortable with good quality linen. The twin bedroom is bigger than the photos suggest, and there was plenty of storage and hangers.
I have to mention just how comfortable the sofa was too, you just melt into it. We were staying with 2 of our friends who had just runt the london Marathon and between the hot tub and dreamy sofa, they left feeling rejuvenated.
Waking up to the beautiful views, including the sheep in the field opposite, just topped off our already fantastic stay.
There is an information pack with everything you need to know, plus take away menus.
Every single detail has been thought of to make your stay stress free.
My only negative was that we hadn't booked it for longer. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. We would have liked a full length mirror
- Zita (10/5): I had the most relaxing stay here, there was nothing I would change about the property! - Very clean, peaceful, comfortable. The perfect relaxing weekend!
- Bethany (9/5): Superb -
- Mia (10/5): Gorgeous countryside getaway - We had the most amazing time! The lodge was exceptionally clean, spacious and equip with everything we needed. It was in such a scenic location and the hosts were more than welcoming. We would 100% recommend to our friends/family. Nothing - we couldn’t fault it.
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Jc (10/5): perfect way to relax and unwind - We had a fantastic experience. The cabin was located in a peaceful countryside setting, surrounded by beautiful nature. The hot tub was a major highlight of the trip, providing the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.
The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The interior design was charming and rustic, adding to the overall ambiance of the rural getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to cook our own meals and enjoy them on the outdoor patio while taking in the scenic views.
Sarah the host was friendly and accommodating, providing us with helpful tips and recommendations for local attractions and activities. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had during our stay, ensuring that we had a pleasant and memorable experience. Nothing
- Samuel (10/5): Cosy & comfortable; the perfect stay! - The lodge and location was absolutely lovely. Alan and Sarah are the perfect hosts.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Tanya (10/5): Definitely going again! - The lodge is beautifully furnished and decorated. The living dining kitchen area is spacious, cosy and modern. Views and location are great... It is in the countryside so seems remote but the village is 5 minutes away by car. Lovely walks straight from the lodge. And of course the hot tub is a delight! We could have done with a second tea towel.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Tranquil, cosy and very comfortable - This is a beautiful lodge jam packed with everything you could possibly need. Very tastefully furnished and decorated, absolutely beautiful place. Nothing at all…..it was perfect
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Russ (10/5): Exceptional - The property was top class and better in real life Everything can not say a bad word about it
- Craig (10/5): I have no complaints, it was total bliss in every sense of the word - thank you Sarah & Alan xx - Everything - there was nothing ‘not to like’ It’s just a personal ‘thing’ and it certainly wouldn’t stop me/us from visiting again! But possibly to consider to enclose the Hot-Tub fully with the screens to go three quarters around instead of just one corner, but as said just me being personal about privacy.
- Kannika (8/5): Highly recommend. Modern feel of the place. Love to go back again and host are great. - Love the location and how presentable the lodge is. We had a brilliant stay and wish we knew how to work the surround sound and tv better! The living space is really nice and the sofa is just huge! We like it if there was more of the cutlery to eat with as they are kids size knife and fork. Over all, a really pretty clean and modern lodge! Nothing. It’s perfect.
- Imran (10/5): Exceptional -
