• Jane (9/5): Exceptionally good and would return if visiting the city again. - Our stay in this lovely guest house was so enjoyable. Sitting on the beautiful terrace looking over the beach below and the Spanish coast in the background was stunning. Each morning our breakfast was served on the terrace by the friendly staff. The accomodation is out of the noisy tourist area but within walking distance or a taxi ride. If walking, you do need to be confident navigating your way through the narrow streets. Our thanks to the staff! If in the downstairs 3 bedroom apartment you can at times hear the people above walking around.

Der Weg mit dem Auto ist abenteuerlich zumindest, wenn man vom Strand kommt. Mega steiler Berg. Die Gassen sind super eng, kaum das ein Auto durch passt. Bei Gegenverkehr wird brenzlig. Parken ist nicht easy.

It was about a 30 minute walk into the active part of town. We would usually take a taxi home. Once we left for the day, it was too much effort to return for a rest. There were a few things in the fridge that we could have for breakfast…. And it was rather un appealing…. So we ate out.

Hard to find the location if you do not rent a local taxi (We came from the airport in Casa Blanca as there is no sign displayed to indicate the property which is located in very narrow residential area in an old neighborhood on a hill. No TV in the property. Kitchen is on another level and beat up very basic with very few basic choices. Under the bed is full of old lumps of dust. No heating other than the small portable units (2 of them). Internet seemed slow. Price is quite expensive for the amenities except for the view. We paid over $300 for 2 nights.

Le lit est tte confortable, le chauffage aussi et Abdellah sur place était aux petits soins. Un très agréable séjour, je recommande vivement.

• Rajae (8/5): Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt, absolut empfehlenswert! - Wunderschönes Hotel mit traumhafter Aussicht auf Berge und Meer! Die Kombination aus moderner Ausstattung und marokkanischer Tradition ist sehr gelungen. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war herrlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und gastfreundliche Personal – ein großes Dankeschön an Mohsin und vor allem Abdellah! Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt, dass wir spontan verlängert haben. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!
• Francisco (7/5): The place have potential to be named celestial, but lack of professional managing. - Didn't try the kitchen. We just got some drinks. Kind of expensive for drinks, but there's not alternative. The outdoor area is amazing. Indoor, OK. Huge room area. Bathroom just fair. I should recommend to place a sign outside the property indicating the name of the house! I think they don't have neither the street number on sight. So, a kind Moroccan help us to find the door. Also, they can place -as many other hotels or riads in the country did- signs on the surrounding are, near streets, corners.... indicating the way to the hotel, because taxis can't. get into the narrow street where property is located, so you have to walk and find the place, and considering the labyrinthic trace of the Moroccan streets... I mean. Consider that you don't have always cellphone data to be guide by Google maps. One more thing, is not cool to have to negotiate how many towels and soap! you deserve to have. Hospitality bz has become so Instagram oriented, They offer beautiful spaces sometimes but forget about basics: lightening, some drinking water, cleansing items...

• Jordan (10/5): Excellente maison d’hôte avec une vue incroyable sur l’océan - Très sincèrement j’ai était surpris de l’accueil de l’hôte qui est au petits soins. Les photos sont identiques à la réalité maison d’hôte très agréable et très confortable et très jolie. Une literie de rêve et une vue magnifique et très prisée. Très sincèrement nous ne devions pas séjourner dans cet établissement car ce fut une réservation de dernière minute suite à l’annulation d’une autre réservation mais heureusement pour nous nous avons séjourné dans un excellent établissement je recommande très bon rapport qualité prix et très bonne accueil Quelques bruit de travaux au matin mais rien de bien méchant.

La camera era gelida, un solo radiatore inizialmente fornito per riscaldare tutto l ambiente. Fuori era inverno e stare in camera era semplicemente insopportabile. Io mi sono purtroppo ammalata dopo la prima notte al gelo. Sorvolo sulla pulizia molto scarsa, i tappeti intrisi di polvere, le due brandine fornite al posto di due letti singoli. Rapporto qualita’ - prezzo pessimo. Aggiungo bagno con lavandino rotto.

• Azar (3/5): Un monde entre les photos et la réalité. - La vue depuis la terrasse est très agréable. Le personnel sur place nous a accueillis correctement. Les photos ne sont pas représentatives de la réalité. Nous avons constaté de la moisissure sur les rideaux, des tapis en mauvais état et aucune isolation au niveau des fenêtres. Le chauffage d’appoint était peu efficace : la température intérieure était quasiment identique à la température extérieure. Il n’y a pas de cloison entre la salle de bain et la chambre. Nous avons également reçu une seule serviette pour deux personnes, dont la propreté était discutable. La literie était trouée et sale, ce qui laisse planer un doute sur son changement avant notre arrivée. Après avoir prévenu cordialement le propriétaire et demandé le remboursement de deux nuits sur trois, nous n’avons obtenu aucun retour.

• Verónica (7/5): Bien calidad precio - La ubicación está muy bien, cerca del centro paseando y una zona muy tranquila lejos del bullicio. Cama cómoda y habitaciones muy amplias. Precioso lugar. Las instalaciones tienen mucho que mejorar, faltaban toallas ya que éramos 3, el agua caliente se termina enseguida y al día siguiente no salía tampoco caliente, el grifo de la ducha estaba roto y pondría algún mueble auxiliar para poder dejar cosas ya que la pila es pequeña, solo había un radiador para lo grande que es la habitación y hacía frío, y los sofás y cojines son mera decoración porque no son nada cómodos con esos tapizados, debería modernizarse un poquito para más comodidad.

• JCL58 (8/5): un endroit un peu éloigné du centre-ville mais où l'on peut bien se reposer - La très belle vue depuis notre chambre au dernier étage : mer et montagne ! le joli jardin bien arboré où l'on peut prendre son petit-déjeuner Et surtout le ''roof top'' : une très agréable terrasse avec de grands matelas pour le farniente. La salle de bains de notre chambre panoramique : très ancienne , et qui mériterait d'être rénovée. Les crêpes mal réchauffées au petit déjeuner La situation plutôt excentrée de l'établissement qui oblige à marcher 20 minutes pour rejoindre le centre ville ou prendre un taxi ( heureusement nombreux et très abordables )

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed vibe made it the perfect place to unwind. The terrace view was absolutely fantastic — a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Tangier.

• Stanisław (7/5): It’s a nice place, but needs some improvements - The location is nice and the view is great. Beds and sheets are cosy and comfortable. The breakfast is exceptional! It’s tasty and has lots of positions. It wasn’t that easy to find the property, cause there is no sign or name that would mark that you are at the right place. Plus the door bell wasn’t working, so there was a feeling you are knocking at someone’s different property. There weren’t enough towels for all of us as we arrived. So we needed to ask for them. The sink in the shower was clogged. There is no tablet or paper in the room with info about the prices for ordering tea or coffee, so you cannot be prepared to be charged 60 DRH for extra tea.

• Ina (5/5): Nicht für Jede und Jeden geeignet - Die Aussicht war schön und es war sehr ruhig. Das Haus folgt einem tollen Einrichtungsstil mit vielen Sitz- und Entspannungsmöglichkeiten. Wir sind von einer Unterkunft ausgegangen, die einem Hotel oder Riad ähnelt. Dies war nicht der Fall und wurde so auch nicht ersichtlich beim lesen der Beschreibungen. Es gab keinen Service, wie das Reinigen des Zimmers. Wir hatten ein Handtuch für zwei Personen für 3 Nächte und mussten alles Weitere erfragen. Unser Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage und keinen Safe. Wir mussten alle unsere Kleidung auf zwei Stühlen verteilen, weil es weder Schrank noch Kleiderbügel gab. Keinerlei Möglichkeiten Handtücher angemessen zu trocknen oder Dinge zu verstauen. Toller Stil, der nicht zu Ende gedacht oder auf Funktionalität überprüft wurde. Die Sauberkeit ließ eher zu wünschen übrig, da die Teppiche und Bettwäsche mit alten Flecken versehen war, siehe Fotos. Der Preis von knapp 400€ für 3 Nächte war hier einfach nicht angemessen!

• Maria Jole (10/5): Breathtaking, absolutely reccomend. - Mar y Montana has a breathtaking view from all of its terraces and windows overlooking on Tangier’s coast and hill (considered the “Beverly Hills” of Tangier). The rooms are spacious, filled with natural light, and well furnished with historical particulars. The hotel has a the subtle, cultural elegance that one imagines when picturing tangier. The staff was not only extremely polite, accommodating and helpful but also friendly. Very curated environment, to be considered as a hotel de charm.

Still a close walk to the markets, passed palaces, a beach, and great restaurants. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the food they prepared was excellent. You won’t find a better deal. As it sits down a narrow alley road on a hill, it isn’t widely known or traveled by local taxis. It takes some work to guide them to it but the host was responsive and helpful

• Cimenokan (9/5): It's definitely a cool place, staff is great, the view is amazing. but, I wouldn't order the dinner. - The staff, environment, view, and breakfast were all good. I enjoyed my stay a lot, and I may stay here again on my next trip. the neighborhood is quiet and safe, while it's a 15-minute enjoyable walk to the touristic area. We had some electricity problems that affected the heating and hot water. It wasn't a big problem for me. The dinner we requested for the room came from an outside restaurant and wasn't worth the money. It was expensive and not tasty at all.

We had to book last-minute and were blown away by the beauty of Mar y Montana, the staff and hospitality, and the OUTSTANDING food. The value for the price was really unbelievable. Most of all, it's just a gorgeous location with a breathtaking view; I wish we could have stayed a month. I cannot imagine a thing.
