Guest Reviews
- Maria (9/5): Great place! - Very charming place. Had everything we needed, and was in a great location. The stairs are a little narrow and steep.
- LOUREIRO (8/5): - Cottage bien situé pour visiter les cotswold. Le petit espace extérieur
- Guest (9/5): - Het huis is top.
- Rowan (10/5): Perfect. - This my second visit to the cottage. A lovely stay in the winter and now in the summer. Lovely stay both times. It’s very comfortable, quiet and perfectly situated for visiting the key places in the Cotswolds. Highly recommended. Only had one issue. We just couldn’t work out how to put the dishwasher on!!! Perhaps have instructions somewhere in the cottage? But of course things can be washed by hand.
- Symmonds (10/5): - The cottage was well equipped. Perfect location to nearly by villages. Recommendations were given for places to eat out. Which were beautiful. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
- Jessica (10/5): Perfect Cotswold cottage break! - Lovely traditional Cotswold cottage. Very comfortable, decorated beautifully and perfectly located for the activities we’d booked for the weekend The only thing we didn’t like were the stairs - very steep!
- Carolina (10/5): A clean, comfortable, and well-equipped cottage full of charm — perfect for a relaxing stay in the Cotswolds. - We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage in the Cotswolds. The place was spotless when we arrived, and everything was well cared for. The kitchen was very well equipped — it had all the utensils we needed to cook, plus some thoughtful complimentary touches like coffee, sugar, and salt. The bed was really comfortable, and we slept very well. Rebecca, the host, was always available. Overall, it was a cozy, relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend! The stairs inside are quite steep, which is something to be aware of, but it wasn’t a problem for us. Just part of the charm of an older cottage!
- Nur (8/5): We had such a lovely stay at the property and it was a dream come true to experience living in a cottage. We highly reco - I love that the cottage still carries its original 17th century infrastructure and decor with a modern touch. The property was well furnished, with lots of amenities provided. The rooms and beds were neat and tidy. As we stayed during the summer, the temperature of the rooms became really warm at night. We understand that it’s not common to have air conditioning or a fan in the UK, hence, it would be great to have a portable fan in the room for warmer days. We could not open the window for long as flies would enter.
- Julia (9/5): Overall we had a wonderful stay. - It’s an adorable house with many amenities for a family. It had a great kitchen with espresso machine and complimentary cookies. There also is a washer/dryer. The cottage is in a cute neighborhood. It does have very steep stairs and no air conditioning. I wished there were screens on the windows to keep bugs out and that there was more of a yard. The toilet is also difficult to flush.
- Vanda (10/5): Exceptional - Charming place near beautiful villages in Cotswolds and nearby the Daylesford Farm where you can find a great organic product shop
- Jeanette (10/5): The Odd Cottage - Great directions on how to get there, easy to find. Beautifully clean and well equipped. The kitchen was clean and provided everything we needed. (See note) Beds comfy, smaller than we were used to but of good quality and well made. Great information about the local hostelries and made a beeline for the local pub which provided great food. The oven was dirty, my 'bete noire' and could do with a good clean, and the pizza tray still had baked on cheese. Our dog could have done with a bit more room outside to run around, not expecting such a small yard as nothing about it in the description.
- Ann-marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (9/5): Home away from - Perfect location!! Everything was less than 30 minutes away. Also the cottage was really clean and well maintained. It could of done with more places to hang clothes in bedroom 1 and to put things in the bathroom.
- Anonymous (8/5): Fun experience that was unique and in a beautiful location. - Convenient location to Stowe and other Cotswold villages. Grocery close by, onsite laundry, cozy. Tight quarters (low ceilings) requiring careful maneuvering.
- Jodie (8/5): Beautiful stay in the Cotswolds - The features, and a very beautiful location We travelled with two young boys, which was a bit tricky in terms of the steep stairs and you pretty much have to drive everywhere. Ideal for a couple or family with older children.

- Sue (8/5): nicely furnished cottage . Great location for 2 people . Loved it despite a glitch. - Decor great . Lots of little things making it cute and special
Lovely cottage. Quiet and great location.
Great kitchen, good coffee machine.
Cosy. sadly we had an issue with the beds not being made. There was no spare linen in the cupboard and the only bottom sheet on one of the beds with dirty. This was sad as we loved everything else about the cottage. So for our two night stay we had no linen. Spoilt my dad’s 88th birthday a little.
We also had to buy firewood for the fire as there was one piece of wood . A little more would have been a lovely gesture. Coffee machine was great kitchen was great.
- Dkjhiggins (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, comfortable, cosy. No milk to make a cup of tea or coffee.
- Janet (10/5): Fantastic stay, would recommend - Location was lovely and very quiet. It was also near to the main road so we could quickly get off for some sightseeing. Everything met our expectations.

- Cyril (8/5): Very good - Nice and practical
- Andy (8/5): Very good - Great location. Dog friendly. Nice kitchen and the bottle of Champagne was perfect for my wife's Birthday 😁. Nice and warm. Good WiFi and TV superb for cozy night in. Unfortunately the pub round the corner was closed but so many other great places locally No firelighters but my time in the Territorial Army wasn't wasted. 😁
The Hive heating dongle wouldn't connect but the heating once sussed was excellent👍
- Ann-marie (9/5): Stress free break in the heart of the Cotswolds. - Totally lived up to expectations! Simply charming cottage. Nothing! It was just lovely.
- Damien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (10/5): Would definitely stay again. Easy to find, we had Google Maps. Try The Fox pub only about 10 minutes in car or there is - Gorgeous property, just like the photos. Steep stairs so beware with heavy suitcases. Beds and pillows were really comfortable and bathroom was well appointed. Washing machine was available which we appreciated and bread, eggs , butter and milk was provided. Luggage racks could be provided in bedrooms.
- Oliver (9/5): Loved every minute and didn’t want to leave! - What a fantastic little cottage Rebecca has here, and what a great host, the cottage was immaculately clean, and well decorated, we were welcomed with a charming supply of local produce (eggs and a bloomer loaf) which was a nice touch, we also received a very helpful guide, not only for the cottage, but local attractions, restaurants and the likes. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

Short drive to bourton on the water, chipping Norton and stow on the wold. Didn’t necessarily “dislike” anything but maybe one more comfy chair in the living room may be better for four people. :)
