Guest Reviews
- catherine (5/5): There was no electric sockets when we arrived waited until 7 o’clock in the evening for it to be fixed then went down to - Could not fault the cleanliness Poor electrics, no forks Very small bathroom
- Torill (9/5): -
- Danielle (7/5): - The kitchen was well equipped including a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The location is up a steep hill from the train station.
- Sara (7/5): -
Superkleines Bad. Wir waren im Zimmer Nr. 3 im 2. OG. was es zusätzlich wärmer machte.
- Jane (8/5): Ok but I found the location difficult. - Nice room and ensuite. Very clean and all essentials provided. The kitchen could with a good clean. The property is further away from the centre than I thought and up and down steep hills, which I found hard work.
- eva (10/5): - very clean, very comfortable bed, has netflix prime all that, kitchen is in very good condition and living space is comfortable.
- Fiona (1/5): Mould on walls - N/A The walls had mould and they had a humidifier to try and disguise the smell of damp. My partner has asthma so we wanted away from the building.
I was refused a refund and was relocated to a much smaller room with two single beds. This was not ideal but had no choice but to take it or lose all our money.
The second room was upstairs and among all the other guests.
You could hear guests coughing and fighting.
The last photo is the view from the room that we had to relocate to. You could hear the neighbours cats crying at night.
No customer care. No negotiation just a blank NO.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Luca (8/5): -
- keith (8/5): - It was clean, quiet and handy for the local amenities
- Karen (8/5): Well located and value for money - Well located, clean, comfortable bed.
Bathroom toiletries were lovely. Walls between the rooms are very thin and I could hear everything going on in the next room!!
- SM (10/5): It was very good, we are very happy with everything and we will be going back - How nice and updated it was, very good location, the bed was very comfortable The doors were very loud you could hear when people was coming and leaving
- sanjay (6/5): No staff - Remote area Not in the high street
- Martyna (1/5): Not worthy a hustle - Absolutely nothing Sewage flood in the courtyard, smell around the whole building, illegal substances smoked by other guests inside and noise in the middle of the night, no responses from property management.
- Emily (8/5): -
- Dulaj (10/5): -
- Caitlin (7/5): - Very clean and well appointed Bathroom was tiny, jammed my fingers twice between the door and sink due to how small the bathroom was.
- Claire (9/5): - The rooms were lovely and the availability of a kitchen with everything required to allow us to cater for the group was very welcome. So much more like being at home when we sat at the table to eat a meal rather than being confined to a hotel room. The hidden garden area was beautiful. Unfortunately the rooms got a little warm, even with fans running. But it was the hottest day ever recorded for May...
- feighan (8/5): -
- Steven (10/5): - Clean, well lit room. View was directly across from a private residence, so could not really open shades fully. Room 9.
- Kate (8/5): -
- Lewis (10/5): brilliant - decent room, comfortable bed, decent location, enjoyed my stay. nothing at all, it was brilliant.
- Lietz (7/5): -
- Christian (7/5): Comfy and good value for money - Modern rooms, lots of kitchen facilities and very easy to check in. Steep hills to the property and pillows could be better.
- Roy (9/5): It was gorgeous everything apart from the weather hit a bad weekend - Only 10 mins walk fro the harbour The hills
- Emily (7/5): - Nice rooms and relatively comfortable beds, check in was very simple. Good value for money and an easy walk into town. The shower was very temperamental and didn’t have good water pressure. The car park is very tight to navigate with a larger car.
- Mills (10/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): -
- James (9/5): Daily 10 min walk to St Ives’s was perfect! - Convient location, kitchen access and ability to do a small laundry load. Twin beds pushed together, would have preferred a queen sized bed.
- Steve (10/5): -
- Myers (7/5): -
- Linda (8/5): Clean, comfortable accommodation - Clean, comfortable room. Good kitchen facilities. Easy access to room via keycode. Limited parking at accommodation. Suggested rugby club as alternative was not that close and up a really steep hill. Parking was £6 for the day but wasn't 24 hours from when you arrived.
- Louise (9/5): Great place to stay for short break in St Ives. - Very good communication prior to arrival. Excellent facilities in communal kitchen and large bed was very comfortable. Lovely rear courtyard and garden, but no garden furniture.
- Kirstin (9/5): Overall great affordable place to stay when visiting St Ives. - Clean, well organised property nearish to the centre of St Ives. Great to be able to park your car at the property, we were lucky as there’s not quite room for all. There was a little bit of a “drain” smell in the bathroom - not awful but you were aware.
No furniture in the garden was disappointing, as the photos of the garden showed some, and we were hoping to use the garden for a short while on our first night.
- Dhinakaran (6/5): -
- Janet (9/5): -
- Adam (9/5): Very good would stay again - Modern and clean Parking could be better, and floorboards needed screwing down as they were very loud in room 6
- Simone (6/5): - Die Lage war nicht optimal. In der Höhe, steiler Weg vom Hafen zur Unterkunft. Zimmer sehr klein
- Alia (4/5): Shower issues dampened a nice place overall - Very clean, kitchen was good, decent locstion. Room size just managed 3 people if a bit squished but the people replied quickly to our issues even though they werent able to fix the issues wirh showers they got the plumber out but not sure the problem but the shower burned you or was cold. Just the electric shower didnt work or is super complicated and fiddling to try makenit work even after plumber came it still alternated between burning and cold so putting it off the top pressure was the only way to get somewhat luke warm temperatures l, which given the massive hill you are climbing multiple times a day a hot shower would have been great.
- Piotr (9/5): All facilities which you need for comfortable stay - Superb, clean and comfy apartment quite close to the centre of St. Ives. Additionally the comfy terrace/ garden for your use. All facilities which you need for comfortable stay. None.
- Carol (9/5): - Cleaness and location. It felt very comfortable All good
- Brunt (8/5): Ideal for what wanted - Good. A bit noisy with people coming and going outside my window See above
- Lea (10/5): Excellent - The room was great, good size, clean, with a nice sofa and the bed was comfortable. Basically, we had everything we needed.
Also, there is a kitchen with a washing machine in case you like to cook or do your laundry 😊 The only bad thing I will say is that I couldn't park there once because it was full, but we managed to find a space not too far in one of the streets.
- Maïté (8/5): -
- Ralf (8/5): - Gute Lage.
- Carol (8/5): -
- Elaine (10/5): Delightful - I just could not believe how wonderful the Nook is. We don't do self catering but did look in the kitchen and noticed it was so well equiped.
. There is nothing not to like.
- Duncan (5/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Alex (8/5): Great location, great property. - Great location. Short but steep walk to the beach. Easy and straightforward self check-in.
- Sylwester (9/5): - Location and tidy.
- Kritchasorn (9/5): - Easy access and seamless check-in. The kitchen is a plus for a stay with all utensils well equipped. The room has a heating system which works well throughout the stay. It could be difficult for parking if the hotel is full. Though, the accommodation is not far from the beach. Climbing up and down the hill is not an easy task.
- chloe (10/5): -
- Lorena (7/5): - Gostei da localização mais tranquila.
- Parvin (8/5): Clean good location - Very clean Shower not very good
- Chris (9/5): Great stay and The Nook and we’ll definitely stay again. - The room was clean and well equipped, and the house was a short 10 walk to either the beach or town. The parking made a big difference and is a big bonus in St Ives. The room didn’t have black out curtains and so the blinds made the room very light in the morning.
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Meg (5/5): Glad we were only there for 2 nights. Would not return - Was not clean, very small
- Abbey (9/5): -
- Pavankumar (7/5): -
- Tommaso (9/5): - Fully equipped kitchen A bit far from the center (restaurants, pubs too), but it avoids driving into the city.
- Virginia (8/5): Very good place to stay apart from the steep walk. I am fitter now! - It was a very steep walk to the location from the town and beach.
- Alex (8/5): -
- Aneta (7/5): -
- gerry (10/5): The location was 10 minute walk to town and beach. Little quality touches made a big difference. - Had everything we needed in a small double room.
The cleanliness when we walked into our room was fabulous. The shower was good enough and the shower gel and hand-wash supplied was of good quality and smelt sublime. Great quality towels provided.
We had the use of Netflix in our room which was a pleasant surprise.
We did not use the communal areas so cannot comment but it looked fab.
The hilly walk up from town and beach would not be everyone's cup of tea. It kept us fit. The soap stand in the shower had been damaged probably by previous users.
- Ben (6/5): - Comfortable bed, walking distance to the middle of at Ives, easy checkin Paper thin walls, crammed spaces for the price paid, shower temperature switches from boiling to freezing
- A (8/5): - Comfortable, practical and clean.
- Sandra (9/5): A lovely comfortable stay - The rooms , kitchen and living room are exactly like the photos. Super clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils needed to cook a meal. 10 minute walk to the harbour. Loved my stay here. I travelled alone and felt very safe. Nothing
- Ambar (9/5): We absolutely loved our stay at St Ives and the accommodation was really well worth it - The location is great and the property was kept lovely and clean
- Jaz (7/5): -
- Wesley519 (10/5): - Simply luxurious, fresh ,clean ,well organised, fully furnished & equipped.
One of the best room we stayed in Cornwall.
Reasonable price, when we asked to check-in bit earlier without any hazete open the room as soon as possible once it's ready to check-in.
Easy to check-in , no complications, room was so fresh ,clean .
Room looks so clean & very recently painted bed covers, pillow covers, towels looks brand new, mattress so comfy with pillows.
Room equipped with kettle, tea ,coffee and milk .
Tele with Netflix, YouTube and WiFi.
Rooms are sound proofing we had very quite sleep .
When we walked in to communal kitchen.....you name it everything there including brand new Owen, microwave, kettle, washing machine, dishwasher with washing powder .
If any one planning to tiny cooking don't worry everything available.
Simply best in Cornwall. None
- Caroline (8/5): - A lovely big bed and the room looked freshly decorated. The bathroom was absolutely tiny. A larger person would struggle to use it.
- Ellie (9/5): Lovely stay, would book again. - Lovely cosy clean room and building. Great facilities and close to the local co-op and Spa. Could get quite noisy with slamming doors and floors were abit creaky. The plug for the bathroom sink didn’t work but all in all I would defo stay again.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Maria (9/5): great value for money - exceptionally clean and tidy, easy to park, very well equipped if guests are not careful with the main door, it will shut hard and make noise. walls seemed a bit thin.
- Kathleen (6/5): - I liked the freedom around the facilities, such as the kitchen and gardens. The bed was super comfy. The location and steep incline from St Ives. It can't be helped but it might be good to explain this to those less mobile or agile.
The advance request for more sachets of milk, and it not being met. The first come first served approach to parking. I got a spot, but if not where do you park? Having other options would be helpful.
Receiving a message to clear bins, do the recyling and closing windows before leaving was a stretch too far. That's why you go away, not to care and prep so much.
Being a single person, I would have liked a room closer to the main entrance and bigger, with more space, the option wasn't offered. I know that it wasn't fully booked.
- Smith (7/5): - Bed super comfortable, the house was very clean, plenty of milk for tea!! The shower wasn't working, the temperature fluctuated between scolding hot and freezing cold, the holder was also not functional
- Colin (10/5): - Have stayed here many times. Lovely clean comfortable room. Kitchen has all you need to cook and enjoy a meal without having to eat in your room. Nice lounge which is excellent for reading of an evening. Nothing
- Vanessa (5/5): Serviceable and the kitchen was useful but the room was basically uncomfortable. - Not much. The bed was acceptable but that’s about it I knew I was booking a small room and it was just about okay for one person only- it would be tricky with two. The shower barely worked- it was awful and there was no pressure, the water varied between too hot or too cold, the shower area is on the verge of needing maintenance and the pillows were very poor quality . I resented being made to remove my rubbish from the room. I found out after I booked that they take a £200 deposit for damage, which considering the quantity of the property is outrageous.
- JK (10/5): Excellent accommodation, I will book again. - Location perfect for visiting my family nearby. The kitchen facilities looked excellent, though I didn't use them because I ate with my family.
Bed was very comfortable. Everywhere was very clean I didn't use the ceiling lights because I found them too bright, but it wasn't a problem as the bedside lights were fine.
- Anne (9/5): - Clean, warm and comfortable room.
Clean, well equipt kitchen.
In early March there was adequate parking.
Did what it said on the tin. Nothing
- Morris (9/5): - Fabulous lovely 👌 Hills
- Cheryl (5/5): - Good value for st ives with parking. Clean and tidy Unfortunately when I stayed there was a problem with the plumbing and radiators were very noisy.
- Fred (8/5): Was handy for visiting St Ived - Clean no hassle Nothing
- Nicholas (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. The room was small with not a lot of space around the bed
- Lisajane (10/5): - The building was spotless. Was an added bonus with the use of the communal kitchen. Have already booked again for this year.
- Md Mabrur Husan (7/5): - the location and facilities were good. I liked the overall setup Some of the upholstery and bedding items are showing signs of wear and tear. The fan in the room was quite dusty too
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Sharon (7/5): -
- Mae (10/5): Peaceful, easy and fun - I like how central it is to the town of st Ives, it’s off the main road so no loud noises surrounding the building, Not much parking and the communal kitchen
- Norman (8/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- kay (5/5): - Clean Very small room and you can hear other people’s conversations in the adjoining rooms
