Guest Reviews
- Charlotte (5/5): - Location was perfect, beds were comfy, great washing machine that plays the Australian national anthem when finished No wifi available, very poor TV signal, broken sofa with silverfish, lots of someone's very long hair everywhere when we arrived.
- Sandra (7/5): Great location, building and apartment needs maintenance - Location was excellent, across from patrolled beach, views from apartment were excellent. Within walking distance of shops, restaurants and cafes On top floor, needing to walk up 6 flights of stairs from ground level. It has no wifi.
- Krystele (3/5): Great location, but the place is rundown. - The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is unbeatable. The place is rundown, and seems like it hasn’t been cleaned properly. I vacuumed the carpet multiple times because it was very dusty and each time I had to empty the vacuum as it was full. My 2 y/o son had his eyes swollen shut from dust allergies which he has never had before, we had to go to urgent care to get a prescription eye ointment. The main bedroom light was broken, we called them multiple times and after 1 week they finally fixed it, but it was 1 out 3 weeks stay that we did not have light in the bedroom as they also do not have any lamps in the property. We had to buy a lamp while staying there. They also advestised free wifi then we got a message on the day of check in saying no wifi available, the staff did try to fix it with a portable wifi, but it was inconvenient having to ring them to add credit to it when it ran out. We had to drive to a different location and then go to the property after picking up the keys and the same for checking out. It’s about a 10-15min walk and a short drive but it would be better if they can just organise a lock box in the property.
- Ross (9/5): - Cleanlines and location Nothing
- adrian (8/5): -
- Scott (7/5): - Was told carpark was 2.1m but would be lucky to be 1.9m clearance. I ended up parking in an area they had listed no parking
- Carmel (1/5): Try carrying your luggage up 46 steps. Luckily the bkg company was able to find another suitable apartment - Clean NO LIFTS
Poor parking option with a car parked in front of it on arrival
- Ren (1/5): Id rather sleep on the streets than EVER stay @this property or book with Burleigh Letting Co again - Checking out! Possibly THE MOST disappointing stay i've EVER booked through Booking.com (i've had over 50 this year alone!). The advert is SO misleading and unless you read EVERY word throughout ALL the tabs, you too will have no idea what you're in for. Upon arrival, into non-secure carparking (everyone accesses the same area, no cameras) I then discovered that there was no lift and i'd need to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Given pre-existing respiratory issues, this made simply going out into the hardest of tasks. On accessing the unit, it was bland, lifeless & nothing like its photos. There was also no wifi as the owner doesnt want to pay for it (REALLY! Even the BEACH has wifi!) even though the advert raves about having a smart TV. Not much use without internet! I run a virtual business from home so this created a significant impact on my work. I did call Burleigh Letting about 7 minutes after entering the property only to be told basically "oh well, too bad, so sad". When i asked if there was alternative places i could stay (footing any additional costs myself) I was told they'd look into it. The following day I asked again - i was told to ring the office, which i did, only to be told they had no idea what I was talking about and would have to read my messages and someone would get back to me by the end of the day. No one did.
The next day I raised my issues with booking.com who proved to be just as useless - telling me they had to wait for the host to contact them before they could take action. I tried repeatedly to contact BLC but was ignored at every attempt. Even as recently as Monday, I rang to speak to the Manager, was told she would call me back - and it's now Wednesday and still no word from them. Yet, like the icing on the cake, they were able to ring me less than an hour after i'd checked out to ask if i'd 'accidentally picked up' a courier package delivered to a neighbour.
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Campbell (6/5): Mostly great but some minor improvements could make it great - Location is awesome. Short walk to Burleigh and Miami. Directly across from the beach. Nice beach view from the balcony Collecting (and returning) the keys from an office which is a 15 minute walk from the property is not convenient especially with luggage. The apartment is a little tired. TV arial did not work. Bathroom sink was blocked. Carpet stained. I guess thats what you get for $350pn these days
- Mcnamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (10/5): Worked as F/A Qantas .Would highly recommend - 0riginal .Loved the interior.Spacious.Location.Felt safe. Nothing
- Suzanne (4/5): Disappointing and not worth the money. - Opposite the beach Unit 9 at Teenamarra was disappointing. Basic accommodation with no care from owners to make it a comfortable stay. No WIFI, no dishwasher and a mismatch of kitchen items, small air con in the lounge, stained carpet in the bedrooms, fans didn't work properly and remotes broken, brown water coming from the kitchen taps. Burleigh Letting were very responsive and extremely helpful and moved us to a much better apartment in the block Unit 1.
- Robert (1/5): Bad -
- Truswell (10/5): great value, clean and tidy in awesome location with a magic view - great view. good location. huge apartment with all the mod cons. nothing.
- Barbara (8/5): Enjoyable. - No breakfast was supplied, it was all self contained. Location was terrific. Not bothered by the road works at the back on the Highway. Easy to walk to the shops, fantastic walk across the road to the beach. Not enough power points in the kitchen, only 2! As we're older, it would have been helpful to have a lift as well, since we were on the top floor.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Brad (1/5): Do not stay here - It’s a shame I couldn’t give this a 0 rating. Very dirty and run down, look at the photos. I wish I could add more photos to show all the problems like holes in the roof, big cracks in the walls, dirty surfaces, musty smell and so much more 🤮
- Bono (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (8/5): Location and comfort with perfect balcony beach views! - Location, balcony views, relaxed apartment Pots, pans and chopping board are at the end of their life with scratches and stains they need replacing.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - I liked the location The staircase, the multiple keys and the outdated amenities
- Ruby (8/5): Very good - Location , space Stairs
- John (1/5): Bad - Smoke alarm went off all night
Bed uncomfortable
Carpets stained
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (9/5): Superb - Location No internet
- Katherine (7/5): Great views and location. BYO beach towels - Location was great. Not a straight forward trip to get the keys, we got a Uber from airport to the office to collect keys. Then and Uber from the office to the apartment, to find we were given the wrong keys. Phoned the office and they sent someone to bring the correct keys. No wifi or beach towels
- Harley (5/5): Great location, nice views but a few basic things would have made the stay better - Great location The stairs to get to the top apartment are dangerous and child can fall down the gaps in the railing.
Minimal bedding linen was provided.
- Sally (9/5): We loved our stay at Teenamara. Great location and a view of the beach from the balcony. Great value for money! - Location was great and across the road from the beach who could ask for anything better! Lugging the bags up the stairs was tricky! I think a clearer indication of having to carry them up 3 flights of stairs would be handy. I would have packed differently for myself and my kids! ( 3 smaller bags as opposed to 1 large 24kg bag.
- David (7/5): Good - Location to beach was good. Some facilities bit dated some things didn't work.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Prescilia (4/5): Disappointing - Great location Where do I begin?
No WiFi, too many keys for 3 different locks, the stairs to the 3rd floor was so painful especially with the luggages, no dishwasher, different location (1.5 km away) to pick up the keys, flat old pillows, all were disappointing except for the location
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, not at the busy south end of Burleigh, yet close enough to walk to the shops!
- Raymond (4/5): Disappointing facilities, could not wait to leave! But great location! - Very good location close to the beach, good views from balcony, good living room space. Poor bedroom furniture, dirty carpets, windows and linen. Kitchen utensils and cutlery dated, from various sets and insufficient amounts! Shower head taped together! Take note that there are no lifts and as we were on the 4th floor, took several trips to get things in.
