Guest Reviews
- Filipa (10/5): Ótima - A localização
A limpeza
A simpatia da anfitriã
A facilidade do check-in e check-out
O conforto da casa
Tudo 5 estrelas A unica coisa menos positiva era algum barulho por parte do restaurante em baixo da casa, mas com as janelas fechadas reduziu bastante e deu para descansar bem
- Laura (2/5): - No airconditioning although they advertise they have it. No light in the shower and lots of long dark hairs everywhere.
- Luca (6/5): Trattamento superficiale. - La posizione La pulizia non era ottimale.
Per due persone (e due giorni) è stata messa a disposizione 1 cialda di caffè e una saponetta minuscola. Insomma, qualità-prezzo non ne vale la pena.
- Aleyna Su (10/5): - Sehr guter Lage! Direkt in der Innenstadt. Abends ein bisschen laut weil direkt darunter gibt es einen Bar.
- Persiana (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - Location THERE WERE BEDBUGS. We were bit multiple times and my man had an allergic reaction. The room is quite noisy at night because of a bar downstairs and glass collection in the morning. The air conditioning that is stated in the description does not work. The host is rude, unresponsive and refused to give us a refund. We left the property earlier on the day we found the bugs, 2 days before the end of our paid stay. Months ago another person reported the same issue. Huge health risk
- Vincent (1/5): No working aircon, insufferable heat and noise - Spacious room, located conveniently in the historic centre. No soundproofing at all - noise from venue below didn't stop until 2am.
Aircon didn't work - false advertising. Not even a fan provided. Completely ruined my stay in Monopoli during summer.
- Nadia (10/5): Perfect location! Easy to find. I absolutely loved it here! - Great location!
- Gabriella (9/5): Really good location - The room was great, we really liked the cute balcony! Little bit noisy due to it’s central location
- Kirilova (10/5): A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Monopoli’s Old Town - I booked this place completely by chance, and it turned out to be a little gem in the heart of Monopoli’s old town. We were in a top location, and the room was incredibly spacious, with everything we needed.
There was a great spot just below us with young people hanging out until late – we personally enjoyed the atmosphere since we don’t mind the buzz, and it was still thebeginning of the season. However, keep in mind that during peak season it might not be ideal for families with children who prefer quiet evenings.
I was truly impressed by the sound and melody of the church bells ringing every 30 minutes – I loved being in such a lively and cosmopolitan place. The streets of Monopoli are simply a stunning experience in themselves – just walking around is magical.
The accommodation had a warm, authentic vibe and smelled wonderful. Don’t hesitate to book if it’s available for your dates – it really felt like home. You can see a beautiful video of the accommodation on my Instagram profile: vask000 (spelled with three zeros)
- Katarzyna (5/5): Perfect location for party people who has to problem with calling a sleep - Very nice decorated apartament, location in the center of Monopoly. Very close to sea. The apartament is big, have 3 balcony with very nice view. It’s very loud outside the window. The owner should have say about this before someone rent aparamtent especially when someone travel with kids. There is a pub downstairs, they put loud music everyday till late hours afer midnight. If you have no ear stoppers it’s imposible to fall a sleep. Also bed is making noises everytime you move.
- Nicola (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria-larisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronan (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (1/5): Bad - - There was not any blanket, the host offered us to sleep in the room with no blanket, just with one thin piece of sheet, when it was +10 degrees outside and it was not possible to close the balcony door fully because it was really old, when I contacted to the host service, Eva answered to me that she doesn’t know how it is possible, and that it’s fault of the cleaning service, didn’t say any apologies, didn’t even try to solve the problem, just said to use air conditioning for heating. So I couldn’t sleep normally at all, I was cold even with air conditioning working maximally. Also it’s so environmentally unfriendly to use electricity working all night and it was too noisy
Also it was very loud, because glass trash collectors came to collect glass bottles at 6 in the morning
- Dzenana (10/5): Great location with a cute balcony! - Room was clean and equipped with amenities as well as espresso machine. It was spacious and comfortable! The location was great, walking distance from everything. Beautiful little balcony overlooking the streets. Everything was amazing!
- Roxana (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice host. Very good breakfast at coffee shop. Very clean.
- Kubus (1/5): Bedbugs! gas heater 1m from bed - BEDBUGS! I was bitten by bedbugs in the apartment, I saw them. The manager doesn't see a problem. 2 m from the bed in the bedroom there is a gas heater that makes noise at night. I won't mention the leaky windows and the noise from outside. But the worst is the bites from bedbugs.
- Zuzana (9/5): Superb - Great location, only set back was the noise from the street and boiler...
- Erika (9/5): Super Location, fair price, great connection to host 🤗 -
- Jean (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tal (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location just out of the beach accesses , old city and restaurants. Very kind staff let me to cheak in sooner then scheduled. The apartment included a kitchen setting with a refruguator and kettle, a balcony with a sitting and additional balcony to main walking street .
p.s
Google Carrefour supermarket around the corner .
2 Line 3 can take you from and to the place from Monopoli Centerale station . 😊
- Eralda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (9/5): Very happy :) - The room, the bed, the terrace, and good communication :) Noisy, we hear everything on the street
- Zali (7/5): Good -
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - The balcony and the location
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisenby (6/5): Lovely apartment in great location. Perfect for young people who like to party. - Very nice location. Clean and comfortable. Very noisy. Above a few bars and they stayed open til 3 am. Booked apartment with sea view but my view was of the store across the street not the sea.
- Kinga (6/5): I would avoid this place - There is not much to appreciate at this place only the closeness of the sea and the odourant in the room. The worst experience and booking in my two weeks long travel in Italy. To start with, the way of treatment before getting the information to get into the room was absolutely shocking.I have booked the room and paid for it immediately, so I trusted them to get a good service. On the other hand, they showed no trust and forced me to pay the tourist tax by bank transfer and gave no possibility for cash payment like every other owners. Before I paid the tax they did not allow me to enter the room. There was no kitchen, no cutlery, no plates, nothing that you could use to eat at the table that was there. There was a coffee machine but no spoon to stir your coffee. When I told the girl who was the contact that there was nothing in the kitchen, she was very rude saying they did not promise a kitchen and I should read the advert better next time. The frindge was so small I could not even put my melon into it. On top of everything, there was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom and it was impossible to sleep till 1-2am because of the bars outside and at 7 the bin man and other workers were already loudly active.I would never recommend this place for anyone, especially if you are tired after a busy day and you would like a relaxing peaceful place, because the windows are very old and the insulation is really bad, so you hear everything as if you were in the streets.
- Toria (9/5): Lovely place, central and nice room. Everything we needed - The accommodation was very central and the room was clean, nice and spacious.
- Cyril (6/5): Good location but very noisey being above a bar. Parking is horrendous. We booked breakfast and that was a coffee and cr - Location perfect Apartment is above a bar.
Very noisey till early hours of the morning and bins full of glass bottles emptied early hours of the morning
- Tracey (4/5): Very noisy location - Location close to the beach. Balcony overlooking main thoroughfare. Host sent us information to access the door code to our email but we had no access to the internet prior to arriving so had difficulty obtaining contact and entry details. Check in time was 5pm which is VERY late however we arrived at 1pm. We eventually contacted the host to ask if early check in was possible and was told no. There is nowhere to store luggage so we had to sit for 4 hours and wait at the front door. There was no reason why early check in could not be allowed as there were no guests checking out because we sat at the door for 4 hours before being allowed in and no guests left. Bad customer experience! The apartment was VERY noisy because it is directly above a pub. Loud noise until 1am and then staff VERY noisy packing up and dragging chairs and tables inside. Then pub deliveries arrived at 3am and 4am which also were very noisy. So not much sleep was had. The sheets on the bed were the wrong size so didn't fit the bed. No kitchen facilities (no sink and no cooking options). Breakfast was at a cafe 5 minute walk away. One croissant and one coffee only per person. No water or juice included.
- Morina (8/5): Very good - Good location, very clean Too much noise
- Liam (5/5): Passable -
- Chiara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Inga (2/5): Loud and dirty - Just the closeness to the beach. It’s run down, ultra dirty (towels, bed, bathroom), just 1 cup for drinks, no cutlery, dishes, zero, plus no outside hangers for towels or beach stuff.
Then the rooms are just above a very nice bar, but you can’t simply get any sleep, finishes around 2 am. At 6 am is bottle/glass collection. Technically, there is no soundproof and you hear everything.
Bathroom is tiny and you bang every body part somewhere. Sink was clogged. And the list goes on.
The communication with the host was strange. You won’t see anyone on-site except the cleaning ladies that knock on your door sharp at 10 am for check out. Mind that check in is at 5 pm. Ridiculous.
- Ela (4/5): Disappointing - The location is great with beautiful views from balcony Check-in is at 5 PM, so dropping your bags off early from your last accommodation isn't possible. The room is situated above a busy, loud bar with music playing until 2 AM. Even if you manage to fall asleep, you'll be woken up at 6 AM by the sound of glass being collected during rubbish pick-up. The shower is dirty, with mold around the edges and blocked drains that cause flooding in the bathroom. I contacted the owner, but my message was ignored. If you don't mind sleepless nights and a lack of proper shower facilities, this room is conveniently located in the heart of Monopoli's old town.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Adrienn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mairead (8/5): Very good -
- Edwina (4/5): Loved Monopoli but not the apartment - Location when we eventually found it, close to beach Bottom sheet didn’t fit . One glass for two people .
Not enough towels for unserviced apartment for stay of 3 days
Very very noisy over bar open til midnight , garbage collection at 4 am .
No information on included breakfast
- Stella (7/5): Great location by the beach! - Amazing location right by the beach! Comfy bed too It was a bit dirty, mould in the shower and a half drunk can of Coke left on the bedside table. It was nearly impossible to sleep with the noise of the bar below going on till very late - although since we were only there for a couple nights and right by the beach it made up for it a bit :)
- Giovanna (8/5): I loved the Location, cleanliness, comfortable, pretty, had everything we needed. However, It might me noisy during the - Location, cleanliness, comfortable, pretty, had everything we needed. It might me noisy during the night.
- Michela (5/5): Passable -
- Kerry (1/5): What a let down, dirty, noisy and pathetic breakfast. Total ripoff for the price. - Well situated. But honestly this was the biggest let down of our entire stay in Italy. We booked places a quarter of the price and they out performed this place. Private body hair on the bathroom floor and in the bed, just a fridge and plastic table in the entrance to the flat. Very pretty room with lovely decor, but honestly for what you pay it's underwhelming...no hand soap, hair in the shower, bed cover stained, no plates or cutlery if you want a take-out, floor is dirty. Dirty stairwell. No instructions for breakfast, and when we finally found out where to go, they were incredibly rude and it was one of the worst breakfast we had in italy...honestly a plain croissont and coffee is pathetic compared to so many places that made a huge effort for far less money!!!. Temperamental aircon didn't want to go below 23 without showing error code. It is well situated in terms of being able to access the old city, but remember that means there is no parking, and we were not sure where we were allowed to park in the city once again thr owners didnt help mich with that. Busy and noisy area, but there is a cute little balcony with shutters that does help somewhat. I really wish that the cleanliness and helpfulness matched the decor.
- Barbara (7/5): Enjoyable - Location Bathroom was really small
- Ciara (4/5): Disappointing - Property was in a good location. We stayed in Il covo last year and really liked it The property appears to be under new ownership, it is not as loved as before. We were granted access to the property to find it very unclean with blocked pipes-maintenance of the property has decreased.
- Paola (10/5): Could not fault it, thank you - Beautiful setting, practical and clean. Easy access, location was great and with a great bar on ground level
- Sue (7/5): Overall it was charming and nothing too major to worry about. - Location was fabulous for us as close to the water and bay for swimming. It is above a bar and thankfully we went in early May so the bar was shut by the time we came back from dinner, it was a Wednesday. In high season I can imagine it’s noisy. The cleaning wasn’t brilliant, dirty floor and full ashtray on the balcony. It was difficult to get hold of the people as the phone number on booking.com was wrong. I did get directed to the bar where we were to go for breakfast, the guy in the bar spoke to the owner re our booking and gave us key access . We had no info before arrival from them so make sure that is sorted. There was also some discrepancy about the breakfast wether it was included or not, but a quick phone call sorted it. I speak pigeon Italian which helped, might not have been so easy otherwise.
- Laura (10/5): lovely stay, totally recommend the place. We loved it! - great location, 1 minute and you are at the sea❤️
coffee and tea
comfy bed
great balcony
clean and elegant at night, you can hear the noise from the streets but thats expected as you are right in the heart of the old town.
- Claudiu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): an all round comfortable spacious clean apartment -with good decor - can we come again please - a great location and certainly in amongst where there were decent bars and not too noisy either. breakfast included was a 1 minute walk away but only included a croissant and a coffee. we had to pay extra for orange juice!! lovely airy room with many balconies and coffee machine. easy to get into room and easy contact with host thru whats app. monopoli definitely a place to visit for a few days - great vibe to be honest there is nothing i feel any need to note other than breakfast should have been better
- Rebecca (10/5): Truly wonderful location and comfortable bed - The location was great and the check in was terrific. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great stay. Breakfast was fun! Being in the centre of town it’s a little noisy and also smelly - not the fault of the property! But do bring ear plugs.
The shower flooded easily but we just made sure to have short showers.
- Zsanett (7/5): Good - Good location, very close to the beach The bar under the flat was noisy, bathroom was very small.
- Lucca (9/5): Superb -
- Frazer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabella (10/5): Romantic and lovely holidays - Lovely flat near the beach, cozy and lofty.
Wonderful in the center and perfect communication with the service persons
A nice place to stay
- Sanja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (4/5): Loved the city of Monopoli and its atmosphere. Accomodation was ok - Spacious large room in the old town
Very clean
Coffee machine
Fridge
Helpful - very responsive hosts Very noisy - music until 1am (which was fine), but garbage/ bottle collections at 6.30am.
Very poor almost non existent breakfast
Didn’t feel very good value
- Lepei (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - Amazing location and a beautifully decorated room. Loved the great size of the room & especially enjoyed having a private balcony looking over the street. This was the most perfect place for our 2 night stay - would definitely recommend staying here! Nothing - all was perfect!
- Sema (8/5): Very good -
- Martina (3/5): Wouldn’t go back beacuse of the noise - Location was good as it was inside the old town but two blocks away from free parking.
It has a nice balcony. I absolutely didn’t like the NOISE at night. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before reserving and it was awful. The rooms are right above a bar, so you won’t be able to sleep until 1/1.30am and you will have to wake up at 7am as the dump truck goes recollect the glass waste and it makes the biggest noise ever. Imagine hearing tons of glasses crushing at that time… so annoying!!
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Cristina (10/5): nice&clean place, in the city center - good value for money, the place was clean and very close to some beautiful beaches. Valentina & Terry were very friendly, totally recommend it
- Simona (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect
- John (8/5): Good clean room Good Geographical location but above a Bar. - Location Spot on for accessibility Although location good for accessibilty. It is above a Bar so noisy if you want an early night.
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, feels near new. Spacious with a comfortable bed and nice design touches. Loved having breakfast at the cafe next door- warm croissants and cappuccinos. Incredibly helpful hosts- helped me find free street parking, and answered my questions about whether a space was okay whenever I moved my car. The fridge didn’t appear to be working, but I also didn’t ask the host about it- it wasn’t a big deal to me. Many reviews mention noise from the bar downstairs, but if you bring earplugs, you’ll be fine.
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect getaway! - Beautiful room in a fantastic location! We really enjoyed going down to the cafe to get our breakfast each morning.
Great communication from the host and great information about local area and restaurant recommendations from Viviana on check in.
Overall a perfect break and we can't wait to go back. A bit of noise outside in the early hours but this is to be expected in a small town and the b&b being in such a good location.
- Natalie (9/5): Amazing location, gorgeous apartment, great communication and help with parking free of charge. - Amazing location with just a short walk to everything, lots of balconies and a beautiful room! Great communication with the host, really helpful. Perfect for a short stay in Monopoli. So minor...A little table on one of the balconies would have been great to have a morning coffee on.
- Marta (9/5): Superb -
- Yann (4/5): very noisy - comfortable bed
localisation in the old town next to the sea very noisy. you can't sleep before 1am. rooms just above a bar restaurant
very light breakfast in a bar close to the B&B. just a coffee and one croissant. any extra is charged
Access not easy with lugages. you can't park easily next to the old town
- Kate (10/5): That’s Amore - The location was fantastic. It was our first night in Italy and waking up in the morning to open the doors to the street and sitting on the balcony drinking our morning coffee was so lovely. The room was always bigger then expected! The property was great but just a little hard to find via car.
- Laura (4/5): Disappointing -
