Guest Reviews
- Anna (1/5): - The property never responded to my messages and when I called for check-in, entry instructions, they hung up on me and then cancelled my reservation @6pm on the day I was supposed to check in.
Horrible service!!
- Jeff (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, owner takes pride in maintaining property Nothing was wrong
- Savastano (10/5): SDSU STAY - Location was great, parking a huge plus. Very quiet property. House was exactly as advertised. Everything we needed. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend. No issues at all.
- Liao (8/5): Good location, quiet and safe. But the house is quite small, 2 adults 2kids are the maximum I think. - They provided enough kitchen supplies and they are clean. Heater, shower are not very friendly for guests. The bunk bed isn’t very safe if you choose to sleep in upper bed. They didn’t prepare any quilt in the house, only very small blankets. 😐
- Ramona (7/5): This took care of our needs. - Having the two bathrooms was great. Also, having a washer dryer was nice. The location was convenient to family. The full size stove was great. There needed to be a larger couch or a chair in the living space. There was not a lot of seating space. There were only 2 mugs and 3 plates for a place that slept five. There needed a guide on the television.
- Kathryn (10/5): Quiet comfortable property - Good location with plenty of dining options. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. I really appreciated the guidebooks that were in the property for entertainment opportunities. I moved away from San Diego 17 years ago so a lot has changed. I would definitely stay again. Minor detail but a step stool would have been great for reaching the upper kitchen cabinets.
- Chinar (10/5): Amazing stay! Super clean, great host. - I had a fantastic one-night stay! The host went above and beyond, even allowing me to stay for a free late check-out. The house was spotless, equipped with everything I needed, and included convenient parking. Communication was excellent, even at a late hour. Highly recommend staying here—great experience overall! Will definitely stay here anytime I go to San Diego. Nothing
- Abdullah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Minh (10/5): Very enjoyable stay. It was as described. The host is available and reactive. -
- Milena (8/5): Very good -
- Jianlong (1/5): Bad experience on midnight arrival in finding the entry to the property and uncomfy stay for 6 - The two bathrooms are spacious and clean. Kitchen is good. Coffee maker is nice. We traveled as a family of 6 with one high schooler and one college junior. The house is really only good for 3 people: the master room (for 2) and bed is good; however, the pillows in the master room are very uncomfortable and impossible for sleeping. Also, the second room bunker bed (for 2+1 people) and sofa bed (for 1) are terrible. We ended up having our two kids seeking accommodation with friends in San Diego. They could not sleep at all during the first night. With the two sleep in the bottom slightly wide bunker bed, my sleep quality is bad. This second room is also very hot without AC (a noisy small fan only). The other missing items such as detergent and in particular the lack of a signpost on the 51st street to guide any renters to find out the entry to the property/house hidden on the other street (the so-called alley that GPS won't point to) made our mid-night arrival a nightmarish experience. If the owner could convert the second room with a queen-size bed and advertise the house with 4 people (+1 sofa bed option), that might be more attractive to renters IMO.
- Jonathan (10/5): Thoroughly Satisfied - All of the fixtures and appliances are in pristine condition. The bungalow is aesthetically pleasing and gives off a nice, clean vibe. Also, the AC works great!
- Brianna (8/5): Very good -
- Trenkamp (10/5): Exceptional - It was close to where I needed to be. The host Alex answered all the questions I had. I would stay there again.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennie (9/5): Excellent stay. Will definitely stay there again. - Very clean and very convenient location. The host was very responsive. NA
- Kendra (10/5): Was very reasonable, convenient and communication with the host was great - Very reasonable price, nice location On the smaller side but was basically used for somewhere to sleep
- Jocrau (9/5): Superb - The location was great (we visited SDSU). The apartment was modern and clean. The host communicated very well. All in all a good experience.
- Christine (7/5): Cost effective clean place to stay. - Quiet neighborhood, very clean unit. Full size fridge and gas range were nice. We could have used more indoor sating as the weather was too cold for the patio. Also, the patio looks directly at a bathroom window of another house. There were not enough plates and bowls. The cookware was OLD scratched and peeling nonstick (very unhealthy to use). No dishcloth or dish towels provided, just one OLD tiny sponge. No dish soap or dishwasher detergent so we questioned the cleanliness of the dishes.
- Malika (10/5): Highly recommended!!! - The property was super clean and comfy. Every single thing including kitchen appliance, dishes, pots and pans, basic spices, towels, lenin were provided. The host was so hospitable, constantly made sure that we were comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience. Everything was great.
- Erma (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Great place to stay. Very quiet! - Location was quiet. Having the PIN numbers was very convenient. Easy access. Rooms were very clean.
- Jeanne (9/5): Very excellent gas burner to make great meals. Has a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and large showers - Two bedroom, 2 bath.
Very clean. Takes a long time of running water to get hot water. It is November so probably not as much of an issue in summer.
- Ngoan (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (8/5): Very updated and modern home with very good amenities. - 1. Very clean and centrally located for our needs.
2. Sufficient kitchen items.
3. Beds were comfortable.
4. Great to have 2 full bathrooms!
5. Owner prompt to answer all questions.
6. Front patio had tables and seating for 6. Nice touch! It is not that I did not like the property but a few suggestions as we have rental properties:
1. The air conditioning (located in front room); did not cool down the entire home. Central air would be nice.
2. The gravel stone around the front door patio makes it hard to “roll” luggage (especially if you were elderly). It also is very loose and can be a slip hazard.
3. Label your switches in the front living area.
4. The shower curtains are set too high. Water easily gets onto the bathroom floors
5. The shower floors (pans) are slippery. Soap or shampoo can create an even slicker surface and increase fall risks.
6. Have grab bars in the showers for those who may need stability. My father (83) fell and broke his lower leg.
7. Spent some time sitting on the front patio but it smelled like cat urine.
