Guest Reviews
- Paul (9/5): - The views
- Laura (9/5): - The barn is really spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely location and walks nearby. Reeth is really pretty. Could do with more seating in the living room to accommodate all guests. We had 8 staying and could of done with another couple of arm chairs to all sit comfortably. Other than that everything else was excellent!
- Richie (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): Highly recommend, top quality accommodation with everything you need in a fabulous location - Everything, accommodation is amazing Sadly no wood, fire lighters or matches for the wood burner. Fortunately we brought our own.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - Location and yo find the property was exactly as we thought
- andy (10/5): Excellent would definitely book again - Beautifully appointed Very well planned and thought All amenities were off a high standard and in a brilliant position for exploring swaledale

- Richard (10/5): Fabulous location, amazing property and the hosts were fantastic. Highly recommend. - Everything was fantastic, a gem of a place to stay. Nothing to dislike
- Malcolm (9/5): Above and beyond our expectations. -
- Richard (10/5): Pleasant break with family - Beautiful location, well equipped and comfortable. We had loads of fun with the table tennis set.
- David (10/5): A relaxed family stay with day walks straight from the door - Beautifully renovated barn with great views into the surrounding dales. Well equipped and comfortably and stylishly furnished. Walking distance to village with good range of shops and pubs. Discrete but efficient communication with the owners
- Anne (10/5): A wonderful, peaceful week. - The place was a beautiful, light and spacious barn conversion, in a quiet location with magnificent views. Everything was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and outdoor seating area. Having parking right outside was convenient. It was a perfect location for a week of walking and cycling in the Dales. A separate utility room made it easier to dry off wet walking boots and gear. We can’t think of anything. It would have been good if the recycling centre was closer but nothing to be done about this .
- Philip (9/5): Lovely barn conversion, very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended - Lovely part of Yorkshire, plenty to see and do on your doorstep and within a short drive from the property.
Barn was perfectly laid out, well designed by the owner with everything you could need available.
Decorated and laid out to a high standard. Recycling bins outside the property would have been useful but certainly not a deal breaker.
- Susan (10/5): Perfect place to stay for a weekend with great walks and views!! - Fantastic location, beautiful interior very comfortable!! N/A
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chocobie (10/5): Lovely place and comfy - The location was pretty and easy to get in the property. Easy to park with plenty space for 3 cars. And we love the style of property, nice kitchen, comfy bed and space for kids to play around. Will go back again. Nothing
- Debbie (10/5): It was very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Extra touches included, a games cupboard, ping p - Gorgeous barn renovation, so much thought gone into it. Renovated to a high standard. Nothing
- Danfox013 (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Brilliant stay at a lovely property. - The property was excellent, it has been finished to a high standard with everything that we needed. We really enjoyed the layout of the property both inside and out. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Kyle (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay at Fremington Hall Farm. Amazing house in a beautiful location with really friendly hosts. Can - Finished to a very high standard. Exceptionally clean and built with incredible care and attention to detail Nothing substantial tbh. A consideration would be to add a stairgate. This would make life a little easier for those staying with toddlers.
- Peter (9/5): Lovely area, very comfortable accommodation - The property is in a great location and has been finished to a very high standard.
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect! We will be back - Loved pretty much everything.
We were a group of friends meeting up for a weekend and if you want a beautiful place to meet, well equipped and comfortable place you couldn’t wish for more than this. Great walks, cafe and pubs on your doorstep (10 min walk).
Loved all the personal touches, nice welcome pack! The decoration and interior is so nice.
The owners live a short distance away and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Nothing!
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Ruben (10/5): Great stay, very friendly and helpful owner (Chris & Claire) - Great property
- Kelly (10/5): Great location, great hosts and a relaxing place to stay. - Great location. Lovely hosts who were quick to respond and assist when needed. Property finished to a lovely standard with everything you could possibly need and more. The steps outside could benefit from a little more light.
- David (10/5): Amazing family get together im a great cottage. Highly recommend. - Fantastic property, had a great time, absolutely stunning cottage, well decorated. Suited to large groups, we went for 70th birthday and had 9 attendees ranging from 11 - 70. Everybody loved it.
Lovely little welcome tray as well.
Chris met us and showed us around, super friendly and helpful. Nothing!
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect - Cosy, home from home and everything was high spec
- Carl (10/5): Great weekend break in very nice accommodation - Tastefully decorated, spacious, comfortable. Great facilities and well kitted out.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the layout of the bedrooms, it was great having a large family room with en suit. Everybody loved the ping pong table! Could have done with an extra armchair as it was a struggle to get everyone on the sofas, it sleeps 12 comfortably but we could not seat that many in the sitting room without some people on the floor or dining chairs.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Rehan (3/5): Host requiring £££ direct cash payment on arrival - Well converted barn as described by other reviewers Hosts asking for over £300 from my guests who were attending a funeral or else he would charge over £400 via the booking platform. His claim was dismissed after it was found host was fully aware there were 8 guests (informed and confirmed when booked). This didn’t stop host sending personal bank details for cash transfer during the funeral. We tried talking to host to show them their error before it became awkward for them but they refused. Moral of the story, don’t demand cash from grieving guests when they’re not the point of contact for a booking and own your mistakes.
- Jonathan (10/5): Comfortable, tranquil, perfect stay. - Beautiful house, newly renovated and much nicer than the photos show. Everything is really high quality and comfortable. Lots of care has been put in by the owners. Luxurious bathrooms and kitchen. Really comfortable bedrooms. A highlight was eating breakfast on the sunny terrace with a stunning Dales view. Also a cuppa on same terrace at golden hour. So peaceful and in one of the prettiest parts of the National Park. We looked forward to coming back every night to relax after a long day of walking. Also great as the house is very spacious. We took my Dad for his 70th birthday and it was large enough that he could have peace and quiet from the noisy grandchildren when he wanted but also plenty of space for us all to be together in the communal areas. Ideal! No negatives, Everything was great.
- Anna (10/5): This is an amazing place to stay... - This is an amazing place to stay, we had a lovely and very relaxing week. A really good thought of everything in the design of the house. Clean, comfortable and very spacious, table tennis an extra bonus.
Every room beautiful, and such helpful hosts. Views from the house spectacular and great location for exploring Yorkshire Dales National Park.
We thank you for our stay and for the welcome. We liked everything.
- Richard (10/5): Fremington trip - Amazing property with elevated incredible views of the surrounding dales. Very high quality accommodation with loads of space. Chris and Claire were fantastic and very attentative.
- Tim (10/5): A very relaxing stay with my family - Everything was perfect, beautifully clean, great accommodation fitted out tastefully and in a lovely location Nothing, although a house name that could be seen from the road would be helpful
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Ideal location and accommodation for our group.
The property had been restored to a high standard and in keeping with its surroundings. Nothing, could do with a name plate on the building which the owner is planning to do.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Recent refurb to a high spec. It was quiet, clean comfortable and within easy walk of the pubs and restaurants of Reeth. Good views over Swaledale. Owner Chris was very helpful.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): wonderful holiday - thank you! - great location, comfortable house, lovely outside space which was good for children as well as adults nothing
- John (9/5): Superb - All facilities 👍 Recycling/ Rubbish, Procedures
- Sangeeth (10/5): A great getaway for our group at a nice place - It was easy to collect keys as Chris(co-host) was at the property when we reached there. Our group could easily complete the check-in on time, and we were briefed about the facilities and H&S aspects by the hosts.
The facility is set up very well, with thought and care. It's a new property - a barn impressively converted into a modern living space - so we got that fresh new-build feel, which was great. The living room was very good, and kitchen/dining areas spacious. There was parking spaces for 3 cars (in our group) - more could be fitted in if required, albeit care needs to be exercised to get cars in and out.
The weather held up great during the days we were there - and that made our trip great.
Based on our group's consensus opinion, we will recommend the place to families and other groups without any hesitation. nothing in particular
- Claire (10/5): Superb! - We had such a lovely time here, the whole family enjoyed it, super clean, very spacious, and everything we needed, would definitely recommend and we would love to come back!
- Anonymous (10/5): Beautiful cottage, stunning location. Lovely rooms, and Claire and Chris were very helpful and welcoming. Will definitel - Everything…
The cottage, the location. such a beautiful property. Nothing. Everything was fine excellent.
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for views and walks. Steep hill up to the property.
- Jack (10/5): 10/10 - The location and accommodation were both excellent. Our hosts were always ready to make our stay comfortable and unproblematic whilst simultaneously giving us the needed space to enjoy the holiday. The place itself was an absolute delight with spacious modern rooms and a cosy layout. Enjoyed every bit of my stay and would recommend it to all.
- Richard (10/5): Perfect, perfect, perfect…so, so lovely! - Perfect in every way! Nothing!
- Sophia (10/5): Lovely holiday and would highly recommended the cottage - Excellent location and property was well designed. Chris and Claire were very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Nothing to note
