Next to a Gail's!
- Jo (6/5): Nice room but noisy and far too expensive. Not good value for money - The room was modern, the bathroom clean, and the beds were comfortable The room was at the top of the stairs where the entrance door was, and it overlooked the beer garden/smoking area which was noisy. People were coming late and walking up the stairs, tried to open our bedroom door and generally made a lot of noise. At £150 for one night in bedroom above a pub/beer garden, it was very over priced.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Excellent location - Lovely spacious room .
- Richard (7/5): Overnight stay prior to a flight - Located close enough to central London with a 20 minute train ride to Waterloo if you want to go into the city. Secure parking onsite. Cafe opposite and a few places to eat nearby. A good place to stay overnight if you are flying out of Heathrow the next day as it is only a 20-30 minute drive via local roads and the M4. The ventilator fan in the bathroom was not working (it was the last time we stayed in the same room) so it got steamy in there.

- Huw (8/5): A happy find - Great location, comfortable rooms, free parking, friendly staff, good menu, nice bar. No breakfast, but there are plenty of local cafes and coffee shops.
- Emily (7/5): Basic but friendly :) - Easier to get to from Mortlake station and great location overall near Richmond park! Room was quite basic and a little dated but overall was fine, staff were friendly and I felt comfortable as a lone female traveler on this occasion An iron in the room or a full length mirror, I was staying for a work trip so would of been helpful for getting ready
- ERIC (8/5): Conveniently situated, room was was well appointed and the staff were faultless! - Conveniently situated to watch rugby at Rosslyn Park RUFC.
Great to have on site parking. That’s a real plus! Nothing to dislike.
- grainne (8/5): Short and sweet but comfortable and good value - Comfortable and clean and close to a function we attended Tv didn’t work well. Logged to Netflix and it kept lagging

- elaine (9/5): It was easy to book, relax there and staff were all so nice - We normally stay nearer Richmond but are more than happy to stay with you in the future. The bar and garden was lively and noisy but in a good way. It was entertaining to watch other people The heat but you can't do anything about that. But you did supply very good fan

- Julie (10/5): We felt very at home - a very welcoming atmosphere!! - It was in a great location - easy to get around . We had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant . The rooms were very comfortable. I liked the “beer garden” area .The best part were the staff who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The landlord even drove us to pick up our bags which was definitely above and beyond and very much appreciated . Thanks for a great stay. Julie
- Sue (10/5): Great stay and would definitely return. - Lovely pub and our room was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed. Staff friendly. Nothing
- Sue (10/5): Would stay again and recommend. - Close to train station.
Clean, comfortable and welcoming.
Good pub menu with tasty food.
- Debi (10/5): Wonderful place. - Staff were wonderful. Very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was perfect, had everything we needed. Fantastic shower. Huge TV with all the apps. Rooms have private front door outside the pub. Would definitely recommend. There wasn't anything to dislike. Maybe a bit on the pricey side but would still stay again.

- Kathryn (8/5): Great pub with friendly staff in convenient location -- and a comfortable, well-appointed room. - The room was very well appointed: a comfortable bed, most importantly, but also nice pieces of furniture that seemed to have been bought from antique shops specifically for the room -- a distressed mirror, a leather-topped desk, a low upholstered chair with arms and a quirky little cocktail trolley repurposed as a side table. Wall lights are always good for mood lighting -- in addition to a strong central light. The ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower was good, too -- and all was clean.
The pub staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pub has free parking for guests. A shelf by the wash-basin (for the guests' own toiletries) would be useful. We also had a room at the front of the pub and found it a little noisy with traffic noise through the night -- but I guess that's only to be expected from a pub in a central Mortlake/Sheen location.

- Marcella (8/5): Stayed here before and will again as its so handy for meeting up withfamily living nearby - Close to restaurants & the river would have liked an 11am or later check out

- Nick (10/5): A perfect stop over for a party in London and we’re looked after by the staff, thanks - Great location, staff were amazing from the moment we arrived, nothing was an effort. Good secure parking….
- Francis (7/5): Good - Good location, nice hotel for a good price It would have been nice to have air conditioning
- Karen (9/5): Fantastic location in East Sheen above a lovely London pub -
- Graham (9/5): Great welcome and super location - Great location, lovely pub to visit west London and has parking. You feel part of the community the moment you step into the inn.
- Tamara (6/5): Owner was lovely, staff good, food great .. let down by the rooms - Soft large bath towels, hand towels, liquid soap, The bed mattress was very hard & pillows. It needs new linen & towels & the carpet needs proper hoovering.
- Richard (8/5): Stay 2 - 5 July 2025 - The pub has an excellent location, just off the main High Street (Upper Richmond Road West) where there are regular busses to Richmond. On Sheen Lane where the pub is located the nearest train station (Mortlake) is a 5 minute walk and trains run regularly from there to Richmond and London Waterloo (20 mins travel), so very easy and quick to get into the city centre. Mortlake station is in Transport for London (TfL) Zone 3 so you can use your Oyster card. There is a lovely little independent cafe opposite the vehicle entrance (ideal for breakfast) and down Sheen Lane there is a very good restaurant (No Forty Four). Along the main High Street there is a Waitrose supermarket and a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants too. In the room the bed was very comfortable and although our room faced the front there was little traffic noise at night. The bathroom has a nice tiled walk-in shower. Although there is a cupboard below the bathroom basin for storage of bathroom essentials it could do with a shelf above the basin for small toiletry/cosmetic items. The rooms are accessed by an entrance at the rear of the pub and it is necessary to climb a flight of stairs to get to the first floor rooms, so this accommodation would not be suitable for those in a wheelchair or who have difficulty climbing stairs. Parking is free, but make sure you give your vehicle registration number to the bar staff on arrival to register on the system or you may face a penalty charge notice of £100!
- David (9/5): Great weekend here and perfect location for Wimbledon. - Great location, good range of food and drink and very friendly staff…will definitely book up every year if lucky enough to get tickets for Wimbledon again! Room was warm but the weather was hot at the time of our stay.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): We had a great time and will definitely go back . - Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent bus and train links from property. Bit noisy road early doors but then it’s central London 😀
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Its fabulous, very comfy and nice N/a
- Michael (10/5): Excellent experience - Very personal treatment by the management and staff
- Gwendoline (10/5): Very nice and quiet - Quiet location and spacious room Breakfast would have been nice, even just a cold buffet
- Renata (9/5): Superb - Everything. Nothing
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (6/5): Decent value for a simple stay. Probably would have been fine if cooler and if we’d avoided the pub quiz - Good location for Mortlake station and relatively easy access into central London. Clean. Simple room. Very hot in the room and on a main road so couldn’t open the windows at night. Very loud pub quiz below on Thursday night and thin walls so heard the TV from the room next door.
- Roger (7/5): Good - It was basic therefore OK but the price didn’t include breakfast and therefore I felt expensive The WiFi didn’t work. The staff reloaded it but it drop out later again and I couldn’t use it
- Edwards (10/5): Great pub, great people great location! - Family feel about the place, from the owners down to the cleaner Nothing
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Elsa (9/5): A great small hospitable pub in East Sheen - Easy public transport. Friendly staff and owner. Good outdoor space. Good food. Have stayed before and it was peaceful - Sunday to Wednesday. Thursday night noise from the pub would disturb some people - I had no problem - after an energetic day. A pub quizz or something like that?
- Cooke (9/5): Superb -
- R (8/5): Great place - Parking, access to transport routes into town
Late bites food....wish we'd known earlier
Outside space no mat in shower.....slippy
- David (9/5): Superb - Nice big car park No breakfast although there are plenty of cafes nearby
- Cooke (9/5): Weekend trip - Staff were friendly. Location excellent. Nothing
- Peter (8/5): Very good - No breakfast
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Shirley (7/5): Good - Location Really poor WiFi
- Jones (8/5): Fabulous friendly pub with great accommodation. - Location was good for us as easy to get to on the tube with a short walk. Staff were friendly and informative. The room was lovely - everything you could need including tea/coffee/biscuits, hairdryer, water, toiletries,TV and very spacious. The area was well served with shops, cafes, restaurants and within walking distance, if you are able to walk for an hour or so, of Twickenham.
It was lovely and would definitely recommend. Only 2 things to feedback and both are minor. A hand towel in the bathroom would have been useful and a checkout of either 10.30 or 11 rather than 10am which felt quite early after a late night.
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Harriet (10/5): Excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms. - Booked this room for my grandfather to visit us over Easter weekend. The location was great, very limited options for the area so we're very happy to know Pig & Whistle have guest rooms. The room was relatively spacious and had a nice ensuite and smart TV with streaming apps. My grandfather said the bed was very comfortable and could hear hardly any noise from the pub below. He enjoyed his stay. Will book again for other family members when they visit us in the summer.
- Eve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (7/5): Good -
- Steve (10/5): Exelant - Nothing
- Stephen (9/5): Nice Inn - Warm welcome from staff and very comfortable room. Free secure parking. Nice walk to Thames. Pleasant location - away from bustle of capital No breakfast available however lots of good options locally
- Jeannetteee (9/5): Love this place! - Nothing to dislike, really.... we love staying at the Pig & Whistle. Obviously, with rooms above the pub garden that has a TV screen showing sports, the sound of people enjoying themselves on a nice evening will travel! It doesn't go on very late, though...and the window glazing is great!
- Kiskadden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - Great location, clean rooms, parking available, reasonable price Wifi was not great in our room
- Hannah (8/5): Great staff, good location - Good location, lovely staff Poor wifi
Need a black out blind as the car park lights came through all night
