Guest Reviews
- Kirsten (9/5): -
- Ricardo Urani (7/5): Great value stay - We liked the location, very close to Puerto Juarez. The bed was very spacious as it was a king size. Lots of ants. The room/bathroom were not as clean.
- Patricia (8/5): So relaxing and stress free, will be back next year hopefully - Yesika is a fantastic hostess, very accommodating, friendly and helpful,a very niece person.Brilliant location in a secure area
- Rhona (10/5): -
- Damian (10/5): I did some sightseeing, swam in the sea, and sunbathed. I even had time to reflect on life 😁 - Yesika is a very nice and relatively helpful host. (She's alone, and there's no staff because she only has two rooms to rent for sleeping, eating, and snorting. If you have any questions, she'll explain everything 😁 where, what, and how. If you like learning about the culture of other countries and their customs, this is the right place. She's a very positive and intelligent woman. If you're not afraid of nature, it's a wonderful place. This isn't a hotel! It's a private apartment. It's an open space with a covered kitchen and a sofa with a table under the roof. It was nice to sit in the evenings and listen to nature. You have to hide your food because sometimes a raccoon comes by to eat whatever it finds 🤪🇲🇽 And now the everyday: always hot water, a comfortable quadruple bed, and drinking water in large containers. Real Mexico, real people 👍🇲🇽 The somewhat neglected building should be repainted. The kitchen lacks glasses and cutlery. The reason was a raccoon searching for something to eat, destroying almost everything—the glasses broke, and the coffee pot shattered. But it was still nice. You won't find that authenticity in a hotel. 🫡👍🇲🇽
- Leilah (10/5): Healthy breakfast & rooftop area - So happy I stayed here on my day trip to cancun. I stopped off here on a 1 day layover. It was cost effective and quiet. The AC worked great and the rooftop area was a great place to hang out. The best was the keto, non- lactose and gluten free breakfast. It's difficult to find healthy food that's also delicious out here so I was thrilled to add breakfast to my stay. It's also very close to the ferry to go to Isla Mujeres. I went for a few hours and enjoyed it. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in town. Nothing. All was great.
- Kelsey (8/5): Excellent beachside room - The room was very clean and had everything we needed for the night. The host was very accommodating and good communication. It was walking distance to the beach and a restaurant. Nothing
- Sandrine (8/5): -
- Sjouke (10/5): Great stay, lovely host - Great host!
- K. Anja (9/5): -
- Jean (9/5): Experience mexicaine typique…
- Zoya (10/5): Brief family stay in Cancun - Everything! Just as described and the owner is very very helpful ❤️ Nothing to complain about at all
- EKATERINA (10/5): -
- Rui (10/5): Will definitely stay there again if I go to Cancun. - Wonderful experience!
- Pala (10/5): - Great location
- Lidia Dora (10/5): Great location, nice host - It was very close to the beach in a safe area 😊 And the host was also super nice during our stay.
- Luis (10/5): Awesome - Friedly and confortable place Access to property was hard to get inn

- Balázs (10/5): - great host the location could have been a bit better
- Mai (10/5): Very convenient to visit Isla Mujeres, nice affordable room - Very nice rooftop room with spacious outdoor seating. We got to use the common fridge. Easygoing host. We can park our car next to the house in a guarded condo area. 15 mins walking to Isla Mujeres ferry terminal, super convenient. Restaurants and beach just right in front. Nothing
- Kerby (10/5): Simple beachy vibes in a great location, can’t ask for more! - Very good location. It’s in a gated community with a security guard at the entrance 24/7 so if you’re concerned about feeling secure this is an excellent place. The beach is minutes away and it is gorgeous. White sand and turquoise water and plenty of local seafood very close by. It’s also close to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. The room itself is compact but comfortable. The king bed helped a lot and the AC was nice and cold. The stairs could use a railing — they’re a little precarious. And I wish the light switches were labeled. It’s always hard to learn the quirks of a new place in only a day or two. Labels would help a lot. The hot water heater is on its last leg. The water isn’t very hot and didn’t last long.
- Herrera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rink (7/5): Inexpensive, no frills, and safe - This is an inexpensive place to stay. Are felt safe and away from loud busy areas. The owner is great. Very friendly and smart. In a part of Cancun that had its heyday some time ago.
- Laumer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erika (7/5): Good - The host is super nice and location is extremely conveniant for people with car. Very private space upstairs where you got a huge terrace. Absolutely safe area!! In case you travel with heavy or lots of luggage, the stairs are quite uncomftable. Not much space for hanging clothes.
- Veronique (8/5): Good value for modest accommodation - Quiet and convenient to catch the ferry. Lovely lady, very friendly and helpful who offered to store our luggage until next day. Provided transfers. Good air con Very dim lightning.
- Snezhana (8/5): Very good -
- Ilona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kai (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly and helpful host. Perfect location for catching the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Safe area. Big room, bed and spaces to sit. Free water and use of kitchen. Lighting a little dark but very minor complaint.
- Tatiana (9/5): I felt at home while staying at Casa Kini! - I’ve had such a wonderful time at Casa Kini! My host Yesika was super friendly, hospitable, and welcoming during the entire stay. The place is neat and has everything you need. It was very cute and I enjoyed its interior a lot. Yesika was very attentive and provided a lot of local recommendations and insights which made my trip much more eventful. Would highly recommend staying at Casa Kini! The guest house is located a bit off the downtown area although there are buses that conveniently run every day there. The nearby beach is public but the water wasn’t very clean, unfortunately, during my stay😢
- Bermbach (9/5): Superb - Super close to the public beach, not a fancy room but all we needed for the night. Best shower we had in 2 weeks traveling. Located in a gated community - all easy and host was incredibly friendly and helpful! Bed was a bit small for 2 people, but no big worries
- David (10/5): Great accommodation located close to quaint beautiful beach. - Yesika, was an exemplary host. She communicated to us in a timely fashion whenever we sent her a message prior to our arrival. Yesika met us on arrival and gave us great information about her home and the area. The casa was well set up with a shared kitchen, which was perfect for our one week stay. Our room (king size bed) was spacious with good air conditioning. She kept everything very clean and maintained. It is in a gated community and felt very safe. The beach and the ferry to Isla Mujeres was a short walk. Playa del Nino is a great little beach, well maintained with plenty of free palapas and toilets. Nothing regarding our accommodation. There were some restaurants on the beach, however they were a bit pricey for our budget. So we did have to take a collectivo or do a 30 minute walk to a plaza that had local food and better prices.
- Julia (7/5): Good -
- Gary (6/5): Nice enough for our need. Walked to the ferry dock. Enjoyed the local vibe on the beach across the street. Felt safe and - The host was responsive when I mentioned the outside table and chairs were unusable. Chairs broken and couldn’t be sat on. They were replaced and I could sit out and have coffee the next day.
They also responded when the water stopped working. Not a terrible inconvenience as addressed right away. Gated community where the streets full of potholes and trash visible everywhere.
- Roy (8/5): Friendly host and comfortable room with nice amenities for a low price. - My room was clean and comfortable. AC worked great. Enough medium hot water that takes a bit to get going. Great shared kitchen with spices (and coffee!!!) and all types of equipment but not many pots and pans. Jessica is a great host and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. Public beach is right across the street with at least a half dozen restaurants along the water. Nothing fancy but an all around great stay. The street in a mess and even though it’s a gated middle class neighborhood it’s run down. No outdoor area to hang out.
- Christoph (9/5): Friendly layover from Miami - top value and relaxed - Great Location from the noise of Cancun!
Friendly people and good value It wqs great for me on my way through Miami for work, easy location - direct next to the beach and bus and ferry
- Maddalena (5/5): Passable -
- Fernando (9/5): Superb -
- Saram- (9/5): Superb -
- Ralf (8/5): Very good -
- Iona (10/5): Perfect place to stay just outside of Cancun - friendly, comfortable and clean! Quiet & comfy bed so a good nights sleep. use of the kitchen is also possible. free drinking water is included which was great:) just a minutes walk away from the beach and good local restaurants N/A
- Cristina_1611 (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely host and apartment. Comfy beds and good shower.
Thank you so much for the hospitality Yessica!
- Nenagh (10/5): Lovely accommodation, exactly what you need. - Room was very clean, simple and exactly what was needed. Aircon was great, and the lady that runs is was absolutely lovely.
It was right by the beach and some nice beach bars, the bars were a little pricy though. We suggest walking a bit and you’ll find some cheaper stuff. Good public transport routes to Cancun.
WiFi was strong and reliable. Were able to take video calls and stream tv without any issues. Nothing
- Singrid (9/5): Good value for money, but extra money for aircond I don’t think is quite good - Good value for money
Quote and safe place The hostess charges $5 per night out of booking if we use the aircon. The house is very hot so it makes impossible sleep just with fan
- Young (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacobo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (8/5): Very good - Yesika was an amazing hostess. Very friendly and accommodating.
- Vittoria (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful Host, lovely to deal with! Great with pets, puts you at ease and is always friendly! Nada! Todo fue bien confortable!
- Lorenzo (10/5): great location and available bicycles for guests - great location and available bicycles for guests
