• Sarah (8/5): Well-located, attractive and comfortable hotel - The location is great for exploring the center, and the hotel grounds are lovely. They have a very tiny and very secure parking area. We were shocked that it was sufficient for the size of the hotel, but maybe most people arrive via tour bus. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but it looked really nice and gets great reviews. It wasn't open for dinner while we were there. The rooms are all around the edges of the building and then you walk out onto what is effectively a balcony around the central courtyard. We found it strange that the rooms don't have windows, beyond one small one up in the rafters that just lets in light (it has an electrically-operated shade and can be cracked opened slightly but not really enough to feel any breeze). We would have liked to get some air in. There's no air conditioning, but we didn't really need it. We did choose to leave our room door open for a little while upon returning in the evening to allow some cool air in. Some people might feel uncomfortable with that. Getting the car back into the parking lot was a bit awkward, in that one of us had to jump out and run into the hotel to ask them to open the locked gate and then the front desk person had to walk around to the gate (not super close) to unlock it. I'm not at all sure how you would handle this if you were on your own. It was also awkward turning the car around inside the small parking area so you could avoid backing out the narrow gateway into a stream of reasonably heavy traffic.

• Kenneth (10/5): Can't go wrong staying here. We stayed in the junior suite! - The old-style room is very nicely done. Centrally located, easy to get around town. The shower head in the bathroom broke while we were there. We were able to take a shower but a little awkward.

La cama comodísima, con sábanas muy suaves y agradables (aunque con un aroma quizá demasiado intenso por el uso de suavizante). El desayuno no estaba incluido, pero era muy rico. Excelente presión de agua tanto en la ducha como en el lavabo. Ubicación perfecta, a un paso del Zócalo. Enchufes cerca de la cama, muy prácticos. El hotel es realmente bonito por dentro, con mucho encanto. El wifi funcionó muy bien desde que solicitamos la clave del router del piso superior. Toallas muy agradables y de buena calidad. La habitación no tenía ventanas, solo un tragaluz en el techo que da al patio interior. No dispone de ascensor (aunque solo es un piso). No se puede tirar el papel higiénico al WC; debe depositarse en la papelera. La iluminación de la habitación se queda algo corta.

El cuarto no tiene ventana y todo lo que pasa en los otros cuartos se escucha, queríamos descansar, pero el cuarto de al lado tenía la televisión prendida hasta después de las 11 y todo se oía, y me llamaron a las 2 AM al cuarto de la recepción, contesté por que me imaginé que algo había pasado con mi auto, que lo tuve que dejar en la calle, por que no había espacio en el estacionamiento, al final me dijo que se equivocó, y pues salimos mas cansados el último día.

Lo staff è stato molto gentile e ci ha supportato in tutte le nostre richieste Non ho apprezzato il fatto che la colazione non fosse inclusa. L’hotel condivide il cortile con un ristorante, dove abbiamo fatto più volte colazione a pagamento. Considerando il costo della camera non proprio basso, penso che sarebbe più corretto garantire ai clienti il servizio di prima colazione incluso nel prezzo.

• Carolyn (9/5): Wonderful colonial hotel with delightful staff - Wonderful home from home in San Cristóbal with lovely garden and super helpful staff - private parking inside the gates so everything is super secure, fantastic colonial architecture and we were able to sit in the private garden and read after a long day exploring! We moved into main building from garden room as unfortunately you can hear some music from the venue next door, but the staff were so helpful and indeed we were happy to stay in the main building - everything was perfect.

• Christopher (8/5): Beautiful hotel but not for light sleepers. - Beautiful hacienda converted into a hotel. Very comfortable bed nicely equipped room. Very noisy door slams from the double doors. People should be instructed to not close the outer doors or do it quietly. Light comes into the room from neighboring rooms through the bathroom. There is a common skylight in the bathroom so when one person turns the lights on both bathrooms fill with light. Our neighbor left their light on all night, disrupting our sleep. Would not return for these reasons.

From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable, making our stay truly memorable. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored estate home, converted with great care to create a **lovely and cozy atmosphere**. We appreciated the **drinking water available on tap**, which added a nice touch of convenience. The **raindrop shower** was another highlight, featuring excellent water pressure and unlimited hot water—perfect for a relaxing start to our day. Speaking of mornings, the **breakfast at the hotel restaurant** was delightful, offering a variety of delicious options that fueled our adventures in San Cristóbal. Overall, the combination of the staff's warmth and the hotel's charm made our visit special, and we will certainly return on our next trip! Having NFL RedZone was a huge bonus for me during American football season. The bedsheets were very heavily perfumed but I didn't deduct any rating points for this, I was able to tolerate it, however, this may be a much bigger issue for other, more scent sensitive guests. I would suggest the hotel use less scented detergent or spray for their linens.

Nice garden and parking for your car. Convenient location! Unfortunately no breakfast was served during our stay which we found odd as this is a hotel and breakfast is announced (although it was not included in our room price). Is more 'classical' in character than some of the neighboring hotels with slick Mexican design. Our rooms had no direct windows, book a room with terrace for a couple of bucks more.

It was very central with an excellent location. We could walk everywhere. It felt comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helped us organise tours directly with the hotel which were amazing, affordable and went smoothly. The breakfast was excellent too. Our rooms had no windows except a ceiling light but our blind was broken so we couldn't open it which made the room very dark. In the eaves of the room there was a void which went across the top of our bathroom and over into the storage room which 1. meant we felt we didn't have full privacy as any staff in the storage room would be able to hear us and vice versa, and 2. it meant that a lot of noise would funnel into our room from outside every night and we couldn't shut it out. Very frustrating. We also found a cockroach in our room within 30 mins of arrival.

• Stephen (10/5): Beautiful hotel in a great location - This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of San Cristobal. It is extremely comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were outstanding. We only ate one meal there (breakfast) and even simple pancakes was amazing. One of the nicest little hotels I’ve stayed in. The wifi was weak in our room. I spent time on a very comfy sofa right outside my room where the wifi was good catching up on work. We had some street noise in our room in the morning.

On Sunday morning, I awoke to Marimba music in it's interior courtyard, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, elegant restaurant, good security..I did not want to leave. Our standard room did not have a ceiling fan or any air circulation. Superior rooms open to the Courtyard, having a small balcony.
• Alberto (10/5): Superb! - Rooms: Luxurious! We really enjoyed the coffee machine. The room was clean, the water pressure was good. Hot water arrived, but after a wait. Bathroom had working everything. We used the provided robes as we sat out on the balcony, overlooking the gardens, with a coffee. Great start to the day. Staff: The young man Victor, was so accommodating! When our room was not ready (we arrived early), he actually gave us a tour of the hotel to make the time go by. He brought us drinks to the gardens (at our cost) and then came to get us when the room was ready. Amazing treatment! Location: Unbeatable! In the middle of the historic district, just 3 blocks from the main square. Quiet even with that location! Restaurant: Apparently it is not part of the hotel, but run and managed separately. The only breakfast option is a “served buffet”. I would suggest, for people in a hurry, that the restaurant also offer an option for plated dishes. The concept is great when one is not running to catch a tour, but must be avoided if you are looking for a quick breakfast. We had one rushed breakfast and one leisurely. The leisurely was much more enjoyable. Pablo was friendly and attentive. I would also suggest having a bartender in the late afternoon/evenings so the hotel guests could enjoy the gardens before going out for dinner. All in all it was an amazing stay, one to be repeated on future trips to San Cristobal de las Casas!!
• Regina (10/5): Best place to stay in San Cristobal - Exceptional place - 5min walk to city center, extremely kind and helpful staff, most comfortable bed and best shower. Make sure to reserve a room where you can open the window
• Bee (8/5): This is a beautiful historic property with lovely places to relax and rest. Very obliging staff. - The breakfast hour kept changing, so we did not eat breakfast there. A consistent breakfast hour; and air conditioning.

• Margrit (8/5): Beautifull place but some design points can be improve - The house is beautifully preserved Room lamps have very low illumination . No windows can be opened Can hear neighbors rooms, all , even if the go to the bathroom
