- David (10/5): Fantastic place to stay and great central location - Bohemian style decorated rooms, very clean with every amenity and room comfort very well thought out.
These rooms had a very homely comfortable feel.
In mid range accommodation Artists place were the best rooms we stayed in throughout 2 months traveling.
Highly recommend Trat and Artists place. Beautiful tidy clean old fashioned area like going back 30 years in Thailand. Nothing

- Joanne (10/5): Amazing stop off stay on way to islands . If art is your passion you should stay longer . - Staff were very welcoming , nothing was an issue. So helpful and friendly.
Meow and Geow were fabulous hosts.
Luckily our neighbour residents were great company . Loved the place will defo go again. Great stop off on your way to islands . Nothing . We loved it . So quirky.
- Stephan (8/5): - Nice little spot in the middle of the town. Backyard with some art installations is great for relaxing in the evening.
Saturday night market in the next street was a great bonus.
Owner was very helpful

Auch während dieser schweren Situation inklusive der Ausgangssperre war Jew sehr lieb und aufmerksam.
- Tobias (10/5): - Cozy, cute and friendly place.

- Tina (8/5): lovely comfortable place - close enough to the town centre to walk everywhere, but very quiet - A lovely place with a relaxed and quiet atmosphere Teabags in the room would be nice !
- Angkana (10/5): -
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - It is a lovely quirky place to stay, very well designed, and the breakfast was fabulous.
- Savannah (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms have so much character each being different. Really cute place to stay. Drawing and painting provided in rooms. Lovely owner and some nice food too.
- Brahmjot (10/5): Exceptional - Aura
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet place with peaceful atmosphere..Miaew is very friendly woman and make you feel very welcome from the first time..the rooms are very well equipped with refrigerator, also hairdryer,..free coffee and water provided every day.. the garden is beautiful full of plants.. Small size mosquito net, couldn't fit in the bed properly and given the fact there are many mosquitos during the whole day, maybe needs to replace.. many mosquitos because the garden is full of plants which is very positive and relaxing but the negative is the many mosquitos..
- Philippa (10/5): Exceptional - Quirky, comfortable and in a great location for the Saturday street market that is not to be missed. I also had the best Thai green curry I've eaten in Thailand at the Artist Place restaurant! And that's coming from a chef! Thank you for your warm hospitality.
- Charlie (9/5): Our time here was very memorable and I recommend staying here for anyone looking for something a little different - The vibe of this place is ultra cool and artsy.
The food is amazing, some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten.
The owners are lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
We will be back!
- Hannah (8/5): Good hotel, but could use soundproofing - I enjoyed my stay here overall. The staff were super lovely and the hotel itself was quirky with lots of handmade items to look at. Check in process was easy and the property is in a good location with short walk to museum, garden and markets. There is air con but it wasn’t very strong, the provided fan was good. New bottles of water, tea/coffee and toilet paper provided daily. The breakfast was good and the cats are cute! Staff were able to organise a taxi to the pier for me. The rooms are not soundproof so you can hear people sitting outside or walking past easily. Mosquito net is provided and worked well. The bathroom was right behind the bed which wasn’t great for smells.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - Lovely quirky rooms and cafe, full of character. Comfy bed, good shower and overall great value for money. Easy walking distance from the night market and local bars.
Good breakfast and very helpful with booking onward journey. Not sure if it was just me but I was really hot in the night, air con didn't seem to have much impact.
- Youri (4/5): If you need a comfortable night; dont stay here. If you can sleep anywhere, its fine and okay value for money - Good location and an original setting with the artsy vibe The bed was extremely hard and unfortunately the room was not cleaned well and dusty. The rooms are also noisy and tou can hear your neighbours ar night.
- Douglas (8/5): Unique one of a kind place - A very interesting and unique place a one of a kind experience. It’s a little funky but in a good way it’s not 5star luxury. Every room has an easel and paints or pencil crayons so if like to draw you’ll love it. Every room is unique with antiques and interesting stuff No complaints
- Deborah (5/5): Location is excellent for a one night stay in basic accommodation. - Basic accommodation in good location. Staff were very helpful in organising our transfer to Koh Chang. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were VERY hard. Basic accommodation that was fine for a one night stay.
- Adem (6/5): Quirky but not that comfortable. Fair price - Location was perfect. In centre of town next to the Saturday night market and a 7eleven close by.
Quirky room and building. Very artsy.
Price was fair for what you got.
Had a fridge in the room and AC was good. Strange vibes, no one to check us in. Didn't know what room we booked etc.
Bedroom is artsy as the name says but we didn't find it that comfortable. There is no bathroom it's a wall in the bedroom and no door. So it is pretty intimate.
Doors and windows are wooden so not fully sealed so you can get some mosquitos in. Also meant it wasn't soundproof. I got woken by someone at 4am doing a wash outside.
- Katarzyna (9/5): Superb - Design and armosphere
Beautiful place with a soul
Truly artistic Broken kettle
Ants attack in the bathroom

We also recommend a visit to the local museum.
- Elias (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cece (10/5): An idyllic place in a lovely town - A really lovely atmosphere on your terrace, the cafe is cheap and delicious with the best coffee I have found in Thailand. Plus there are very happy kittens. Easy location to walk places. Nothing, it is fantastic.
- Shan (9/5): Superb - Artist's Place is a unique guest house in an amazing location right on the georgeous canal in the busy market town of Trat. Our host was friendly and helpful and the food and decor in the restaurant made eating there a wonderful experience. It is a real oasis of tranquility close to Trat's wonderful markets and it was the perfect place to start our trip to Koh Chang. We took a taxi from the airport as we weren't sure how to find artist's Place. It was expensive. But you can take a bus and use Google Maps
- Steven (8/5): really cool place!! - really cool place , felt very comfortable, was clean and really nice art (suits the name of the place 😀🤠) and very friendly people , should definitely stay here if u want a chill time . also cost wise it's super super good (normally im hesitant to write reviews because many places in Thailand have a good review but then I arrive and it's very disappointing, this was the opposite , so thank you! very much appreciated, if I ever come back to Trat then this would be my to go place:D )
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Artistic and pretty place in the center of Trat
Hospitable hosts, good food and coffee
Possibility to rent scooter or bicycle
- Maia (10/5): 💗💗💗👍☀️ - Absolutely fantastic place. Very tasty food, breakfast and cafe. I would have travelled on to Koh Kood, but I stayed here for one more night. If you come to Trat, make sure you visit this special place!
- Dennis (9/5): Superb - Lovely helpful host, place is very special (art) and comfy. She tries to rent you the oldest and not functioning motorbikes. This kind is destroyes the feeling of a good stay. Avoid this.
- Daniela (10/5): Most lovely guesthouse - Always great to be back here.
Fantastic coffee & breakfast.
Very helpful host.

- Daniela (10/5): A hidden paradise - It's a hidden jewel 😍
I only stayed 2 nights and it was so relaxing.
Beautiful decorated, such comfy bed and spotless clean.
The landlady is THE perfect host.
She also has a lovely cafe with great coffee and healthy fruit-bowls.
She also helped me with the transport to the ferry-pier for Koh Chang.
I already booked again at Artist's Place Trat when I will return from Koh Chang.
HIGHLY recommended! Everything was perfect.
- Colin (10/5): A really beautiful place to stay in Trat - A beautiful place. In a quiet part of Trat. Charming owner, who helped immensely. The room and place were very artistic and quirky. The whole stay was excellent. I was able to rent a scooter and was guided to the local lake where the sunset was incredible. The night Market is a 10 minute walk away and is full of great food and local colour.
- Samuel (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (9/5): Cosy and interesting- with a nice cafe around the corner with good coffee and sandwiches 🤩 - Exciting small “Resort”. Cosy surroundings
- Büsra (9/5): Lovely place with yummy breakfast - A greatly nice host and great breakfast - if you are in Trat for a short time, you really need to stay at this lovely place. Highly recommended! Bed was a little bit too hard for us.
- Chris (9/5): If you enjoy Quirky, artistic and creative spaces stay here - The rooms while small are very quirky and interesting. Loved the art supplies and used the watercolours in my sketch journal. Loved all the art pieces in and around the rooms. The sister restaurant have a great breakfast menu, we unfortunately did not have time to check the dinner menu. Nothing
- Styles (10/5): Trat visit - I like the quirky originality of the quest house. The host was just a treat would highly recommend staying at this centrally situated place when visiting Trat. There was nothing to dislike about this guesthouse.
- Terence (8/5): Nice place to stay for a night in Trat before ferry - Affordable, quirky, good location. Staff arranged taxi pick up for port as well as local map. Good coffee. No issues

- Paul (8/5): Very good - Liked the quirky artistic decor inside and out. Very cute little bungalows. Not much space but enough for a night or 2 although longer would have felt cramped.
Good air con.
Good price.
Exceptionally good WiFi...fastest speeds we've found in our Asia trip.
Quaint area if Trat.
Very quiet. My husband wasn't too keen that there was no door separating the toilet area from the bedroom.
Some gaps in doors/ windows which could let in mosquitos although there is a net over the bed.
- Ben (9/5): Very clean and comfortable place to stay, owner was extremely helpful with taxi services too! -
- Hafsa (8/5): Very good - Wonderful location. It was just a short walk from nearby things to do in trat. Very interesting decor, good host. Nothing
- Brendan (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (4/5): Good location but would not stay here - Had to cancel but rebooked another date. When arrived it was not anywhere near what pictures showed. Left immediately but still paid. See review. See other review
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional - It's was a great little bohemian guest house. The room was cute, and everything worked, including cold AC! I got lucky as there was a festival for something I never quite made out exactly what, but the whole lane was wall to wall food vendors! Traditional musicians played at about 5 different spots. This was a treat! There were local dancers and some kind of awards thing, again my Thai is limited. But it was super cool. I extended my stay for another night of festivities!!! The host was lovely and arranged for my ferry to koh mak. Her coffee shop and restaurant are delightful.
- Tomáš (7/5): Good - The location in old Trat is great indeed, especially close to Saturday evening market, the garden courtyard Is cosy with pleasant outdoor seating in front of the room. I mainly disliked two facts. 1) I would expect receptionist to be at her place during the day and not to disappear for long time, then suddenly appear again and then again disappear. 2) It is traditional housing, I know, but there are big gaps around old door and thus welcoming mosquitoes, actually there were already some when I came and in the dark room you cannot find then, when you notice them and want to eliminate. In my opinion overrated accommodation.
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vit (10/5): Really well located in a great street, very quiet. This is quirky but lovely property with a lovely - Really well located in a great street, very quiet. This is quirky but lovely property with a lovely manager who was super helpful. For the price, the facilities were excellent and we would gladly stay again.
- Anthony (7/5): Quirky stay in quiet area of Trat - Great position in quiet lanes near River - close to restaurants and night market .Very comfortable bed . Good breakfast- especially the fruit yogurt and toasted muesli . Can get 10am pick up from hotel for Koh Chang ferry Quite quirky - area around rooms is a little oppressive. We are not the best with spiral stairs to mezzanine but once you were up there the bed was great and good air con
- Hansen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful garden, lovely little apartment. Simple, good
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Very stylish and eclectically furnished green oasis in Trat. Owner was friendly and helpful and I loved sitting in the small garden. Excellent value. There's really not much to do in Trat.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - An absolutely beatiful gardrn
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
