- Kayla (1/5): -
- Bryant (5/5): - Location, convenience and staff I killed two bugs and bathroom was small.
- Anthony (7/5): -
- Nathan (4/5): - Poor quality no soap in one the rooms we booked. Wouldn’t come back.
- Angela (2/5): - I didn’t feel safe at this property. There were no extra locks in the door and I felt unsafe. The linen was dirty with stains.
- DonJa (2/5): - I did a review on 8/16 but I forgot to add that I checked out the room 15 minutes after I got in. I know I lost money by not staying the whole time and for only be there for that short of a time but I rather stay in my car where I have working locks on the door then this room with no working locks. The only good thing is the air conditioner was jumping😂 and it was cool in the room🙏
- Marsha (4/5): - There was no ice machine on property. The room was clean but did not have a hairdryer, iron or ironing board lighting was bad in the room and no dresser to put your clothes in. Back of door was unpainted. Manager was nice and helped me with the T.V. as I was having trouble with it.
- Mary Hunter (6/5): - The room was ok but a few moths Although the website said hair dryer there was none. When I called the front office they said no hair dryer so I had to go on the plane with wet hair!
- Carlo (1/5): Very loud location towels were very poor quality - Property room had mold on the wall
Bubbled paint from the mildew
- Larry (2/5): - This is another property in this area that is infestated with bed bugs. I checked in and as I was ready for bed I saw a huge bed bug just walking on the night stand, when I I told front desk they did not care and did not want to issue a refound, this place is dirty and lacks professional service.
- John (2/5): - Actually had to check out early. Horrible smell in room. Random people roaming the property. Door room did not close properly. Just a bad experience
- Lacora (2/5): - Dirty
- Ennels (1/5): -
- Damon (1/5): I stayed 2 nights the second night they changed the rate on me I booked online for - Dirty would not recommend Everything i booked online for the online rate they changed my rate the second night charged me more. Would not recommend stay it's dated dirty sheets had burn holes in them. Stitch oder holes in wall doors towels look previously used.
- Breana (2/5): - When I arrived, check in was smooth. However, I opened my door, and my room hadn’t been cleaned. The staff cleaned it quickly, and they missed some dirty towels and cooked ramen in the sink. I was willing to forgive that given they rushed. I later came back to the room, and I noticed water from a leak on the floor, roaches, AND DIRTY BEDDING. I mean stained pillows, red-brown mystery streaks with hair on the sheets, and dog hair all over the blanket. No housekeeping staff were around to help fix it. I didn’t care about the weed smoke in the lobby. I spent a terrible night here not sleeping and checked out a day early. I’ve never had a bad stay at a Red Roof Inn before.
The hotel looked clean and cared for in the photos and reviews. I felt like I’d been catfished by the hotel. I thought Expedia was trustworthy. I will be contacting Expedia for a refund. Do not stay here.
- Ann M (2/5): - When i got to the hotel ,there were so many people hanging around. Just hanging out. Didntblook
- Nikki (2/5): - This place is a first class dive, complete with the hang around a talking it up all night out front…This place is built for shack ups, not quick family stay…don’t waste your time or money…
- Alyshia (6/5): - At check in I was asked how many adults were in my party. There were 2 adults and 2 kids (as I declared on the registration). When the A/C broke the desk clerk asked why there were 4 people in the room, as if I'd lied to them. It was very unprofessional. When he determined he was unable to fix the A/C at midnight he asked if we wanted to check out and he had no other rooms available. He then stated he had one room, which was one double bed, for 4 people, I don't think so. Then he took my husband to the office and magically found another room for us. So at midnight we packed and moved with 2 young kids. It was very inconvenient and we were not offered anything to make up for the issues.
- Brandon (8/5): - It was just what I needed
- Antionette (2/5): - Room was decent, but not cleaned well. Through the night people were breaking hotel room windows. Too many people hanging around the rooms at night, and drinking and smoking in the stairwells. Elevator was out of service.
- Nonna (10/5): - Yes
- Vernetha (2/5): - Dripping water from the ceiling at the door, door not secure, and hole in the wall. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
- Salman Ahmad (10/5): - Nothing
- Askew (7/5): Peaceful - Quiet & the price for the room that includes a 2 stove burner & a extra sink& microwave & mini fridge w/ freezer renovated recently Always sold out and hard to find online deals and hard to find motel online at all since it’s jammed into 3 others that share the same buildings (red roof inn on front , hometown on back of building/ rodeway next to it connected by a walkway in back, dominion part of the roadway building on the end , their all joined and have two offices for all four motels. And not a lot of parking around back
- Christa (8/5): - Clean
- JAIME ORLANDO (6/5): - It was okay for a night
- Sinclair (9/5): -
- Jamaseyeh (10/5): Great stay! - my check in experience was very nice. The Manager observed that i was an employee of Fairfield inn. He immediately waived my deposit. My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. It was a quiet peaceful stay. I loved that food and gas was very close by.
- dawn (2/5): - Dirty, no toilet paper holder, drunks outside the door till midnight , rude check in ( owner) hot water did not work then when we complained at check out she said oh ya, room 111 is backwards!!! I tried it that way also & NO way worked.. it was just a disgusting stay
- Darius (10/5): - Clean, excellent customer service, not ever a bad experience.
- Charles (8/5): - The room was fine for the low cost except that there was almost no warm water or pressure for a shower.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Room was nice and clean
- Nonna (10/5): - Very nice
- Jon (8/5): - Some appliances need to be fixed, if it's an extended stay
- Antonio (1/5): Bad - They had roaches
- Tae (10/5): - Great
- Matthew (4/5): When a bed is all you need. - Having booked a 2 Double Bed room that was Accessible, Non Smoking (Roll-In Shower), what I received was two beds that had metal box frames, a bathroom without any shampoo/conditioner, and two towels that were at best, rough. My room was on the first floor, and the door frame was not only rusted but didn't even fully seal. If you are just needing a bed, this is for you.
- Erin (4/5): - It smelled like smoke in my room. I could also hear the person in the next room over's TV on all night long.
- Logan (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet area and close to food
- Residential and Commercial Fire Protection (8/5): - Great place for the guys to relax after a long day of work...
- James (10/5): - This is my second time there. And I'm glad I always choose this hotel when I fly in from Florida
- Richard (2/5): - I chose the location after calling to verify for a elevator, I can't do stairs (no elevator) I also booked the non-smoking room, There were cigarette holes burnt into both pillows and a dirty ashtray on the side table next to the bed.., the fridge door was hanging off, when I tried to close the main door you could literally stick your fingers underneath to the outside and there was a large gap where you could see right into the room on the latch side of the door... There was nothing but vagrants walking around looking at cars etc et. I tend to stay in the lesser expensive hotels and in all of my years, this was absolutely the worst one I've ever seen. I immediately left and went to a different one, I did not tell them that I left because I did not want them to make more money off the same room. I never leave reviews, good or bad, but this was absolutely the most atrocious place I've ever booked.
- Carly (1/5): We couldn't wait to leave - n/a The room smelled like cigarettes, so much so it made all my clothes smell like it once we left. The floor had weird unknown substances splattered in multiple areas, so we know the floors were not cleaned. The bathroom had no place to put toilet paper or hand towels. The sink had leftover hair in it. The lights next to the bed didn't work. The comforter had cigarettes burns on it. We couldn't wait to leave.
- John (6/5): - All night traffic, bright lights, no coffee for the machine on our second day. Terrifying to cross street to get the the Waffle House.
- Julia (8/5): - Stayed one night. It was a very pleasant stay.
- Samantha (2/5): DO NOT BOOK - This place was absolutely disgusting! Dirty sheets, walls, floors, shower. Ceiling falling in. Front door broken. Terrible customer service
- Shiante (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimyetta (2/5): - When we arrived to the room, we were greatly with 3 live roaches and 2 dead ones. A big hole in the bathroom wall, the ceiling coming apart and roach eggs in the corner. We arrived last so we decided to stay but we were up most of the night. First and last time staying especially for the price that was pay.
- Ricci (8/5): Good Stay for the price - I own a janitorial service and I’m a hotel and motel blogger and I come to the Richmond,VA area frequently for work an I’ve stayed here twice, the first stay was great except for the huge gap at the bottom of the door which made the room cold, bit other than that and no Ice machine or cups but a good stay no the less…the second stay was ok the housekeeping missed a day of cleaning my room which was weird but the front office staff was cool though and the hotel was quiet and clean and the deposit is $25 dollars
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful!! Run! - Poor area. Lobby stunk of marijuana. Elevators did not work. Drunk and stoned people loitering in the parking lot. Did not feel safe at all. Will never stay there or at any other Red Roof again.
- Eric (4/5): Pick any other hotel by Richmond Airport. - When I checked in, I was given a room on the third floor. There is NO WORKING ELEVATOR, but only learned that after trying to use them. I had a lot of stuff to bring in and out each day, so I requested another room. I would be provided a room on the first floor, but only at an additional charge as this room had a king bed rather than double. I would have gone else where, but I had already unloaded everything into my travel cart.
As soon as I walk in and set bags down, a roach crawls out from under the microwave. And then one in the bathroom. Go to use the sink and there is no hot water, but later realize there is hot water and whoever installed the sink switched the hoses so the hot water was actually now on the blue(cold) marked handle rather than the red(hot) marked handle.
They have gel soap dispensers rather than bar soap, but they were empty, and after informing the attendant and being told it would be filled the next day by housekeeping they still were not filled, and I was given a couple packets of soap each day. The second night, the room started to smell like sewage, which I could tell was coming from the bathroom tub, but unfortunately the bathroom door couldn't even close. I ran hot water down the drain then plugged it and opened the door to air out.
The only thing positive I can say is that there was a tall fridge/freezer rather than the small micro fridges and the TV allowed for casting from your phone.
Otherwise, I'd say go somewhere else by the Airport
- Whitney (6/5): - Too many people and traffic of walking people . Begging and rundown folk around the area. Hotel definitely need repair , and a little fixing .
- James (8/5): - Everything was good but it was only one Problem. I wasn't able to watch TV at all in my room that was the only thing
- Rudy (2/5): - Cigars smell i didn’t like it
- Ricci (6/5): Cool For the Price - First the Pros
1. Good for the cost
2. Cool Smart TV
3. Bathroom was nice
4. Was Quiet
5. Great Location off of I-295
6. Smoking Room smelled nice and was very clean.
Cons
1. No Continental Breakfast
2. Homewood Suites Building Room doors have a huge gap which lets in the cold and noise.
3. Water doesn’t Get Very hot
4.No Ice Machine
5. No Cups in Room
- Babette (10/5): - we had an amazing stay as always. The location is convenient to everything, The staff was amazing.
- Demethria (4/5): - Everything was clean, it's just the roaches but overall its okay. The wifi needs adjustment as well.
- josue (10/5): - Goid
- Renwick (8/5): - Close the the airport
- CANDICE (8/5): - Quiet
- Shawn (10/5): - Very Comfortable
- Sashawna (2/5): - Good morning,
I didn’t get a king size bed (that I booked)
There was roach and dirt all over the floor
Cobweb
The tv the internet doesn’t work on it
The door doesn’t close properly from inside
I was so scared for my life
I had to sleep at a friend at oak run lane 30 mins away
I slept there the first night because it was so cold n late and I didn’t have anywhere to go
- Juanita (2/5): - I was told that I was banned for having two cups of coffee from Dominion Suites today. Unacceptable
- Dolymar (8/5): Very good -
- Sergio (10/5): - It was great experience, and the room was clean when we arrived
- Yoshii (10/5): - Great
- chanel (4/5): - Hotel had roaches crawling across the table top and also someone/the top of my car trying to steal my tools out of my truck. Fortunately, they were too far back in the truck that they couldn’t get it.
- Quante (8/5): - It's clean
- james (2/5): - I didn't like anything. There was no light in the bathroom which is completely unsafe. No heat in the room because it was unplugged and they wouldn't come and plug it in. The bed frames are made out of metal and you barely even touch it and the sound reverberated when getting in out of bed
The walls and doors were never touched up with paint when they obviously moved some furniture. This place shouldn't even be on your site because it's not worth renting ever
- Rolando (2/5): - Bad
- Scott (2/5): - The room had dirty towels, linen with red marks on it, a bed cover that seems to have skid marks on it, a phone that didn't work and roaches and knats...You couldn't pay me to stay there again.
- Onuora (8/5): - No Comments
- ALEXA (4/5): Not what I expected! - The room was not as pictured as it was on the site. Lack of lighting due to one wall scones was out and they couldn't replace, they had to order one. So ot was very dark in the room unless we opened the curtains but then the whole world can see in the room. They didnt have a lamp or anything to give us for more lighting. Lack of toilet paper, towels. There was a baby roach in the bathroom. We had no iron nor blow dryer in the room. We did ask for an iron, in which they gave to us. The only positive thing i can say is the bed was comfortable but thats all i can say.
- James (10/5): - No ice
- Howard (4/5): - When I made the reservation I requested a room on the 1st floor. The only room available was on 2nd floor. No hair dryer, no alarm clock, no ice machine.
- jakeirra (2/5): - when me & my children arrived there were bugs (roaches) to be specific all around our room.. my children did not want to stay there after experiencing the amount of bugs around the room so instead we stayed over at my sisters house.. what a waste of money for something i didn’t enjoy & didn’t spend a single night in there .. total waste of money & i would like a refund!
- Jennie (2/5): - This has to be the worst place I’ve ever stayed
- Katisha (10/5): - Cleanliness
- Taequan (10/5): - All around great
- James (8/5): Very good - Room TV bad picture
- Linda (2/5): - The room smelled like someone sprayed an entire bottle of some kind of freshener the floor was damp no matter what you did to try to dry it! No toilet paper. 😡 this place is a slum I should have done my homework before I booked it. Beer cans and trash outside the doors. Very poor
- Chigozie (1/5): Very bad experience staying in there. The staff wey poorly trained and the hotel is not clean . - There was no breakfast. The hotel staff. The hotel isn't clean and looks old .
- Dannette (2/5): - The rooms have roaches faucet handles fall off no smoke detecktor
- HARDY (4/5): - Smells old. It's an old hotel in an old hotel district that has fallen into disrepair. I will not be back.
