Guest Reviews
- Louisa (5/5): - The shower was terrible
- Chakrabarty (7/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Great hosts. Recommend - Spacious lovely place, clean and well set up. Recommend for a stay in Knutsford. Nothing
- Vanbekbergen (8/5): Alles prima - Alles was aanwezig en in goede staat Temperatuur boiler stond op 35 graden en zo kan je het huis niet voldoende verwarmen..heb het zelf wat hoger geplaatst
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Freya (9/5): -
- Colin (3/5): -
- David (10/5): Great value, everything we wanted, well presented & very clean, excellent - Very clean, excellent facilities, very well organised N/A
- Laurence (7/5): Suited family for visiting local attractions. - Breakfast n/a location difficult for paking and car damaged parking on road. 5 cups for 6 guests
- Debbie (9/5): - Very clean and tidy and spacious The street was busy for parking but we did always find a space
- Catrin (7/5): Good for a family stay. - Easy to get to, nice touch with the Christmas tree.
Good base for a weekend. Lacking in a bit of cleanliness, the bathroom required modernisation, a decent shower at least would improve the bathroom a lot. Tiles were grubby. No lock on toilet door.
- M J Hayes (10/5): - Muy bien situado para el aeropuerto de Manchester. Cerca del centro de Knutsford.
Comodo y muy rapidas respuestas a preguntas de la anfitriona Nos gistó todo
- Alice (7/5): - Good location for wedding nearby. Simple accommodation but sufficient for a few nights. Unfortunately not cleaned for our arrival. Very quick reply from the owner who helped out by coming to clean. However, could use a deep clean of bathroom and kitchen etc.
- Karen (8/5): - Very clean Parking was a bit limited
- Karen (10/5): Nicely decorated and clean. Close to knutsford village centre - We stayed here as a base for a wedding we were attending nearby. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The house is close to knutsford centre which was only a short Uber ride away.
Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable and the overall decor is very nice.
Communication was excellent as got immediate responses when messaging with general queries.
The shower was very powerful, we all loved it!
Thank you again 😊 Nothing I didn't like.
- Peter (9/5): - Nice spacious house, clean and well kitted out.
- Paul (10/5): - Very clean Nothing
- Kirsten (4/5): Convenient location for local wedding but wouldn’t stay again - Easy to walk to Knutsford, spacious living areas Loud neighbours playing music until late and banging doors which you could hear from the living spaces and bedrooms. Shouting from next door in the early hours of the morning. Also, there was a herbal smell drifting in the bedroom window in the early hours.
Parking on road but very busy so had to park away from the property. Locals commented on my car which made me feel very uncomfortable too.
Decor appears good from photos but it is not a professional finish. In particular, the loose radiator pipes and loose wire from the wall in the bedroom were a hazard for our crawling baby.
Generally fairly clean but basket in the shower with travel size shower gels etc had mildew in.
- Lesley (8/5): Ideal for what we wanted - Clean spacious property. Ideal location for attending a wedding near by. Comfortable beds clean bedding and towels provided. Little bit noisy but can't be helped as it is on a flight path and next-door neighbour shouting(swearing at his dog) early in the mornings.
- Chantelle (10/5): Lovely relaxed and comfortable stay - Very clean and homely
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Very clean, good location, comfy beds and lots of room. Location was great, midway between Chester and Peak district. Some of the doors were difficult to open, but soon got used to it.
- Lisa (8/5): Perfect for a family group - Clean and comfortable.
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - Good facilities and location Could have been cleaner, there were a lot of cobwebs maybe had been empty for a while
- Willetts (9/5): Superb -
- Ex (10/5): Really good weekend-friendly airline pilots-very accommodating hosts. - We were attending a wedding in the area-our location was ideally placed. The house was a good size, as were all of the bedrooms. Separate loo was a good bonus. Obviously the house was too small for two bathrooms( six people getting ready for a wedding!!)- but we coped. The hot tub was an added bonus for us and we all availed ourselves of it( only two at a time!!). Kitchen was adequately equipped-we cooked a Full English on the Saturday morning. Although we were on the flight path of Manchester airport the sound insulation was sufficient so as not to bother us. It was fun sitting in the hot tub almost waving to the pilots as they landed!! No fault of the owners at all, but a decent pub/restaurant would have been a bonus. I struggle to get into a bath for a shower( the family don't have a problem-I'm the old codger!!) Other than that everything was great.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (5/5): Owners had clearly tried hard to make the house nice but overall very disappointed - House nicely decorated inside. Quiet location The property was on a council estate, not a very pleasant looking area which was not advertised. Dining table only big enough for 4 people yet the house sleeps 6! Main bedroom has no proper furniture, no dressing table or chest of drawers to put personal belongings. We could not get the central heating or oven to work. Tried ringing the contact number twice & somebody hung up, also emailed & had no response at all. Very poor!
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Dorothy (8/5): Great value and would recommend. - Property was spotless and ideal for our stay. Location wasn’t particularly near to town but we managed to walk in and plan a bus ride back. Can recommend the Legh Arms to eat at in the evening and the Welcome Cafe only a few minutes walk away cook a brilliant full English breakfast. The only thing we thought was needed was a functioning spotlight. The motion detector light outside wasn’t working and it was very dark. With the 2 steps by the gate it could be quite a trip hazard.
To be fair the bulb may have blown.
- Mick (6/5): Okay property, not sure we would return - The decor in the house was lovely, the living room was well laid out and the beds were comfy. The fridge had some dried on rotten veg juice and stunk of fish even after we have scrubbed it off with some horrible smelling fabulosa that didn't really help either. (I have video evidence of this)
The ring camera set up in the front outside area. I get that the owner wants to protect their house but the mount shows that if it hadn't been charging (in the window so still very intrusive) it would have been pointing straight through the patio doors into the house. (THE MOUNT WOULD HAVE THE RING DOORBELL POINTING STRAIGHT IN THE HOUSE I HAVE PHOTO EVIDENCE)
There is clear mould in the bathroom which really needs fixing, the window at the rear of the living room couldn't be opened as the handle just falls off the window. (ITS MOULD. NOT DISCOLORATION I HAVE PHOTO EVIDENCE)
I nearly trapped my testicles on the toilet seat as it's flimsy and just slips to the side mid number 2. (I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE OF HOW FLIMSY IT IS)
There is no plug In the bath and so you could not have a bath. (THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHERE ITS HIDDEN EITHER)
Light switch in the kitchen has been pushed through so you don't know if it's safe to use to turn the lights on or off
The bathroom window doesn't open (which won't help the mould!)
Oh and the parking. You don't need to pre-book parking....nope but what they don't tell you is that it's a race with the neighbours to get the spots so you probably will have to park your car round the corner in a car park which isn't great for disabled people.
- Sian (6/5): Pleasant - Well furnished and decorated. Claean House was very cold on arrival. Took a good while to heat up. Several doors don't close / jam. It would be very easy to get stuck in the toilet as that door jams particularly stongly
- Dominique (6/5): Great location, disappointing stay - The ideal location for a day trip to Manchester on the train, a beautiful market town, and the beds were comfy. Had a dishwasher, which is handy when you have a group meal. Cracking local chinese! I hate giving bad reviews, but we weren't impressed with several things. No hot tub as advertised which we only found out when I contacted to ask if it would be at temperaturefor us when we arrived 3 hours prior, a lot of loose floorboards, doors didn't shut properly, if you closed the toilet door someone has to help you open it from the outside as it gets STUCK, the sofa was very uncomfortable, dirty mugs in the cupboard, was absolutely freezing on arrival and the carpet on the stairs hasn't been fitted properly. Light switch in the kitchen was dangerous/broken. Hot tap in the bathroom turned when turned on. Window handle in the lounge comes off if you try to open the window. Double bedroom needs a dimmer light bulb not a normal bulb as they don't work with the dimmer switch.
- Niall (9/5): Superb - Location for us was perfect
- David (6/5): Pleasant - Location and size of property
Very clean too Doors swollen and don't shut.
No fan in bathroom
- Morwenna (7/5): Good -
- Rob (5/5): The house was fine,a bit dated but clean . Just situated in a run down area . - The house was ok. The area wasn’t great . An old housing estate
- Erinn (8/5): Very good -
