Guest Reviews
- Melanie (10/5): - Herzlicher Empfang, wunderbare Cabaña , tolle Ausflugstipps.

Top experience! The location felt very safe and is a perfect base for exploring Chichén-Itzá, Izamal, and Uxmal 🗺️
The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming 🤍 In the evening, we were greeted by the whole family – a young couple with their daughter, plus three adorable dogs and a cat 🐶🐱 They kindly offered us dinner and showed us around their beautiful property. They speak English, Spanish, and even Dutch, which made communication super easy 🌍
In the morning, they were very accommodating and prepared breakfast for us already at 6:30 AM so we could continue our trip to Chichén-Itzá early ☀️ The breakfast was delicious – fresh fruit with yogurt and an omelette made from eggs from their own chickens 🍳🍉
The house itself is lovely and self-sustainable 🌱 The water is heated by solar panels, the roof is traditional thatched, and the temperature inside is very comfortable. Around the house, there are trees labeled with their names and short descriptions, which is such a nice and educational touch 🌳
This was honestly one of our favorite stays in Mexico 🇲🇽 and we would happily come back again!
Thank you to the hosts for all the great recommendations and such a memorable experience
- Lukas (9/5): - if you want to experience something different, go here. The owner makes great food

- Jasmin Retter (9/5): Lovely cabin at a family-run hacienda with purpose - Very beautiful family-run stay with farm experience (dogs, cats, chicken) and a wonderful purpose i.e. the education on stingless bees, it's connection to the Mayas and importance for nature. Lovely cabins and tasty breakfast. Wifi through star link connection. Beds are a bit hard, but thats a personal preference
- Gianluca Merlo (10/5): Genial!
- Mamatravels (10/5): An awesome experience and a great way to see something different - This was an amazing experience. What Franky and his family have built is so special. We learned so much about life in the Yucatan, both ancient and modern. Franky also had great travel tips. We had asked for dinner and it was delicious. Our daughter loved the experience especially all the animals. The shower was properly hot.
- Sherri (10/5): All time favorite stay - We loved everything. The room was perfect. Separate from their personal home this 1 room tradition oval mayan adorable thatch roof home has a large walk in shower and comfortable bed. The host were kind and helpful with ideas to keep our day filled with ruins wildlife and villages to visit. Breakfast was a different dish each morning and we chose to have dinner there each night. We requested our meal to be whatever the family was having. We were surprised each night with a wonderful authentic and tasty meal. We are outdoors people and do not mind spiders bugs and maybe an Ant or 2. If you do not like bugs this is not for you. But if you enjoy the outdoors . You will love this place. There is a ceiling fan and hot water. This was a memorable and unique place to stay. It will be 1 of our favorite all time stays. Everything was great. I wish I would have booked another few nights here.
- Karlijn (10/5): Exceptional - We loved this place. You could almost call it a cultural community center. The attention to detail and love for the environment are remarkable: they make their own soap from their bees, grow the watermelons and other fruits served at breakfast, and if you wish, Adriana will cook up delicious homemade Mexican dishes. And from our Dutch experience it was really: 'Lekker zitten, lekker eten'.
We visited the lodge after a trip to Chichen Itza. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that their daughter greeted us in Dutch! We hadn’t expected to hear our native language here, and she spoke it so well—it made us feel instantly at home.
The host has an impressive knowledge of Mayan culture and the local environment, and because she’s traveled widely throughout Mexico, she also has deep insight into how different cultures and histories intersect across the country. Beyond her work at the lodge, she even teaches local children about the cultural and natural heritage of the area, passing on traditional knowledge and skills to new generations.
Our stay here truly enriched our understanding of Mexico. We leave with a deeper appreciation and perspective on this beautiful country. Nothing!!
