• Imre Mátyás (9/5): Amazing GIANT apartment in a vibrant sicilian city - Beautiful Sicilian style apartment close to the Center. Perfect for discovering the city. Its size makes it suitable for more people too. The air conditioner was a bit old and not too effective, the electric hot air blower was not working either, which made the nights a bit chilly, but still totally bearable.
• A&K (10/5): Pobyt w drugiej połowie stycznia. - Doskonała lokalizacja w samym centrum miasta. Blisko do większości zabytków i miejskich atrakcji. Dosłownie za rogiem warzywniak, piekarnia, sklep z artykułami spożywczymi i przemysłowymi, naprzeciwko apteka. Rozsądne ceny. Mieszkanie znajduje się w typowej sycylijskiej kamienicy. Drugie piętro, schody niskie, łatwo się wchodzi. Samo mieszkanie jest duże, trzy sypialnie, salon, kuchnia i łazienka. Okna kuchni i jednej sypialni to jednocześnie drzwi do mieszkania z wejścia balkonowego znajdującego się od strony dziedzińca. Jedna sypialnia jest ciemna bez okien, dzięki temu jest w niej najciszej. Salon i ostatnia sypialnia mają duże tradycyjne okna z okiennicami otwieranymi na dwa odrębne balkony nad ulicą. Do tej sypialni wchodzi się przez salon. Bardzo wygodne podwójne łóżka. Łazienka jest nieduża. W kuchni są wszystkie najpotrzebniejsze rzeczy chociaż mogłoby być trochę więcej większych kubków. Właściciele mieszkania życzliwi i w doskonałym kontakcie. Bardzo szybko odpowiadają na zapytania i starają się we wszystkim pomóc. W apartamencie mieszkaliśmy w ostatnim tygodniu stycznia i trafiliśmy na początek obchodów związanych ze świętą Agatą. Z odpływu prysznica wydobywa się zapach z kanałów. Jest to niestety typowe dla starych kamienic. Trzeba pamiętać, żeby zalewać go wodą z prysznica lub codziennie brać kąpiele i wtedy nie ma problemów z nieprzyjemnymi zapachami. W okresie jesienno-zimowym w kamienicy jest duża wilgotność i odczucie zimna wzrasta. Jeśli ktoś mieszka w nowoczesnym bloku z centralnym ogrzewaniem i lubi ciepło, to zimą może być mu zimno.

• Hajnalka (8/5): - Bolo to útulné, blízko centra a cca. 30 min peši ku pláži, 3 samostatné izby, ochota a felxibilita majiteľov. Keď hladáte autentické, pravé sicílske ubytovanie a chcete si užiť atmostféru pravej Catanie, tak to vrelo udporúčam. Matrace v posteli boli mäkkšie, ak sa chcete pritúliť k druhému úplne ideálne.
• Ripepi (8/5): Ci tornerò! - Tutto benissimo! A due passi a piedi dal castello circa 5 min e 10/15 dal duomo. Casa grande quindi può ospitare sei persone e forse con divano letto anche. Cucina spaziosa dotata di ogni comfort Parcheggio privato coperto vicinissimo Ottimo per eventi zona la Playa. 8/10 min circa. Un po’ di rumore in strada essendo zona popolare e casa non riscaldata, ma coperte comunque sufficienti per soggiorno breve.

• Samantha (6/5): Good for a night or two - The apartment is spacious with tall ceilings and natural sunlight. Kitchen is small but has most things needed to cook. Getting into the apartment requires three keys so we felt safe as a group of three girls staying at the property. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The lady who welcomed us was very lovely. The bedroom that is attached to the balcony has a door that doesn't shut properly as the door handle is broken. I had to put a chair up against the door so it wouldn't swing open at night. The toilet had issues with flushing, we would have to press the button several times before the flush was strong enough to work. The taps had good water pressure, unfortunately the shower pressure was a bit meh.

• Ernest (7/5): Wohnung mit Einstellhalle-Platz - Zentrale Lage, einfache Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber, die Möglichkeit das Fahrzeug unweit in einer Garage abzustellen. Das Wohnzimmer ist geräumig, hell und lädt zum Verweilen. Das Badezimmer braucht ein Update.
• Carly (6/5): - A large apartment which was a short walking distance from the city centre and bus station, in a busy local neighbourhood (there is street and traffic noise throughout the day and evening, which may not be suitable for everyone but great if you're looking for a buzzy area). The host was excellent, providing easy and clear instructions for retrieving the key from a lockbox when our flight was significantly delayed. He checked in with us via Whatsapp during our short stay and gave instructions for check-out well in advance. The wifi was excellent, as was the washing line and pegs for travellers who have packed light! There are 3 bedrooms but it's worth knowing that one of those is an internal room with no window. The apartment only had one air conditioning unit in the living room, and two fans to share between the 3 bedrooms which wasn't sufficient given the temperature. We had a few issues with the bathroom; the door handle was wobbly and needs general maintenance, and the water pressure was poor which made flushing the toilet and showering inconvenient (the shower head really needs descaling) The kitchen is a little dated, and would benefit from a new set of matching mugs/glasses and the removal of old food items purchased by previous clients. I would also consider installing a full length mirror in the corridor and adding a plug extension lead in the room with no windows. In summary, not the best option for 3 female travellers requiring 3 rooms and a decent bathroom, but the property is a great price and would work perfectly well for some travellers.

• Tamás (1/5): Soha többet, köszönjük. - A konyha rendben volt és a szállásadó nagyon kedves volt és amennyire lehettet próbált a kedvünkben járni. A környék undorító, a szálláson megérkezés után ki kellet takarítanunk mert olyan kosz volt. Egy klíma volt a nappaliban így mind 3 hálószobában nagyon meleg volt . A legdurvább mégis csak az volt mikor két nap nem volt se áram se meleg víz, ami a szállásadó szerint rendszeres . A hongos szomszédokról a bűzről nem is beszélve. Nem ajánlom senkinek. Mi végig próbáltunk a szervezett programokra gondolni és minél kevesebbet a szálláson tölteni.

Parto dal fatto che, seppur non obbligatorio, una bottiglietta d’acqua è sempre carino farla trovare ai propri ospiti, purtroppo non c’era! La struttura è si situata molto vicino al centro ma la zona è comunque da evitare, non dava buone vides. Una camera era situata in pieno ingresso, un’altra non aveva nemmeno una finestra e la porta era una di quelle a soffietto, tipiche dei ripostigli! C’era un solo condizionatore che purtroppo non riusciva a raffreddare tutta l’abitazione. Del bagno non ne parliamo: copriwater rotto, tappeto lurido e l’acqua dalla doccia usciva a filo. Pulizia in generale pressoché inesistente. Non consiglio assolutamente !!

• Martijn (5/5): Zelfs voor 1 nacht op het randje - Dichtbij het vliegveld. Vieze vloer, geschreeuw van buren (ruzie), lawaai van straat. Niet zo'n beste buurt. Douche mieserstraaltje.
• Quentin (3/5): A trois minutes du centre ville et à 1 seconde de voyous - Spacieux et style ancien dans son jus. Salle de bain non fonctionnelle, aucune pression dans les WC, douche également. Machine à laver sans lessive et cuisine sans produit vaisselle. Si vous emmenez votre toute maison avec vous en voyage cest parfait sinon il faudra faire les courses. Emplacement clairement terrifiant. Accueillis avec les voisins qui insultent et qui demandent de partir. Volé par un scooter le jour du départ à 1m de la porte d'entrée. S'ensuit course poursuite et déclaration de vol à la police, de quoi gâcher les vacances.

• Troy (3/5): Bad accommodations Terrible Host - Really nothing to like. The cleaning lady’s were helpful but the host was horrible. We made plans to meet for check in and after waiting over an hour outside the apartment with no response he finally tells us someone is inside the building and we need to go and knock. Nothing went as we had planned. Access to parking we paid for was also not correct and late. The Host is irresponsible and in reachable. The property is in a terrible neighborhood, the places around it are not nice. But my favorite is no toilet seat. He claims it was just broken however it is easy to tell there has not been one for some time. Not everyone is an Italian and uses a toilet without a toilet seat. Ridiculous and Booking.com should have minimum standards for Host like this. I would strongly recommend not staying at Mary Center House..

• Dimitar (5/5): Passable - It is close to the center. The apartment is not renovated. The furniture is old. Two of the bedrooms have no windows. The neighborhood is not nice and unclean.
• Amanda (7/5): Great place for easy access to town - The hosts were great and showed us into the property. We had paid parking so our car was secure. Parking can be limited on the street so you'd be taking your chances. Overall the apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. Recommend to stay with everything on walking distance. The road itself is very busy and quite noisy with a lot of traffic throughout the night. Easy access to town but comes with a cost of being quite noisy.

• Bagigu (10/5): All in all it was a great stay and I would gladly return. - The apartment is in a typical Sicilian building in a convenient location. Close to the city centre with everything you need and attractions close by. We were greeted by very lively and welcoming people who made us feel at home immediately. I parked my car inside the optional garage which was very close, practical and safe and when we checked out in the morning, we left our bags inside the car safely for the whole day. The apartment is spacious with all you need. The four of us were very comfortable. I recommend this accommodation. Street noise.

• Renee (10/5): Great vibe, we would stay here again when visiting Catania next time. - Location was close to all attractions in Catania. The hosts were very informative and provided recommendations. The apartment is extremely spacious, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bathroom was extremely clean and modern, and we were able to use the washing machine and outdoors clothes line to wash and dry our clothes. We wished we stayed here longer as it was a homely vibe. There is no elevator/lift in the apartment building, so carrying our bigger suitcase up and down the stairs was a little annoying.
• Kubánová (9/5): Superb - Apartment was big, cozy and clean, located in city center, near beaches and main streets. I can only recommend to stay there. The only thing which was a little uncomfortable was loud neighbours, screaming throughout the night and road in front of building had a lot of cars roaming through all day and also night, but it has not much to do with apartment itself 😊

• Relika (9/5): Superb - Spacious, extra rooms for socializing and accommodation. AC cooled down the whole apartment and extra ventilators helped with the air flow. All the necessary home machinery was there and worked as ment to. Morning sun shines to the kitchen and dining room and does not heat up bedrooms. Only 1 parking spot per apartment (that was already taken) so to avoid random damages to the car on the narrow street a nearby paid parking lot had to be used.

• Joyce (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spacious traditional apartment in the heart of the city to experience living - being close to the markets, the Ursino castle, the cathedral, the port, the opera house... There are tons of restaurants, pastry shops and bakeries nearby. Here, time seems to slow down and the apartment gives the feel of being transported inside a Brancati novel. The host was also incredibly welcoming.

• Silvina (8/5): Good for a short stay - Great location. The apartment is situated on a quiet street, close to a small convenient store, many bars and restaurants, and also the historic centre. It is large and great value for money. Giuseppe, the host, let us check in slightly earlier. He was also very welcoming and explained all the local hotspots and how to get there. There is also wine to buy in the house, which is a nice touch. There could have been more amenities, like sugar, body wash, etc. Also, the TV is not tuned, the shower is average, and some of the widows do not close properly (because they old), causing a draft.
• Emi (9/5): A stone's throw away from Castello ursino - Spacious and close to the castle/ old city, the owner is very accommodating with any arrangements though we didn't get to meet Mary in the end - would gladly stay again. We'd have stayed longer but it was already booked out. The kingsized bed and bedroom was great, the other bed was also well sized and comfortable. As anywhere in Catania, it's always noisy somewhere incl the church clock from 8 am but overall a quieter area than the centre, one of the bedrooms doesn't have a window but you can leave the door & window in the corridor open so it's okay overall, half the apartment is warm on the sunny side in the kitchen and the other cooler which is also nice.

• Maria (9/5): Delightful stay with a hospitable host Cathy always ready to help! - Location accommodations and host Low to no water at times which the host accommodated with another room….lack of water was due to the Catania airport fire and forest fires.
• Edwin (10/5): Fantastic week in Catania made more enjoyable with the authenticity of the apartment. - The beautiful furnishings and the wonderful tiled flooring made this a delightful place to spend a lovely week. The rooms were spacious with fantastic domed ceilings and excellent lighting. The main bedroom has a Bluetooth night sky projector so if you fancy listening to Bellini whilst watching the Aurora then this is the place to stay. We will definitely try and rebook when we return to Catania. Some reviews said it was too noisy but we loved hearing the sounds of a vibrant city and it enhanced our stay.

• Mihaela (9/5): Superb - The apartment was like in the pictures, clean, big, 2 minutes from the city center. The city is very dirty, lot of garbage on the streets, the buildings are old and looks like a suburb even if you are in the center.
• Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was spotless and well appointed. Our host was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately the apartment is in a neighbourhood that never sleeps! On a hot summer night people were chatting at full volume very very late into the night /early morning. The apartment would be great for a couple but we were 2 friends and used both bedrooms. The second bedroom doesn't have a window which may concern some people.

• Haralampieva (5/5): Passable - The location, the size of the appartment. Good wifi, many tv channels. There is no heating in the apparment, apart from 1 airconditioner located in the living room.It is definitely not a solution for such big appartment.We were supposed to keep all doors open (no privacy). When we checked in in the evening the temperature inside was the same as outside. The host should have at least warmed it in advance! We ate in jackets and slept with hats and wrapped with scarfs. What is more the electricity went off twice beacouse the system is weak. You can switch more than 2 things at the same time. Additionally, there is no warm water in the kitchen.

• Gerrit (8/5): Large and convenient location. - The size of the apartment is large, so there is space to move around. The fish markets is 10 min. walk away. There is a closed parking garage nearby. The apartment is located on a noisy street. The shower is very tiny but offers warm water. The TV is large and sophisticated. However, I was unable to find any English channels.

• Oksana (6/5): Pleasant - Communication with the owner, big tv, good location. The neighbourhood and the street itself is really dirty and at night even feels unsafe. The noise from the steet is very intensive even at night, no isolation. The wardrobe in the main bedroom was full of somebody's clothes which is really freaky... The kitchen and the bathroom is very very basic and old.

• Vicky (7/5): Good - It is a very big apartment with a big and well equipped kitchen with everything you need and a home cinema in the living room. The whole apartment was very clean and beautiful The apartment was clean but I can't say the same about the building, the patio and the street. Despite the proximity to the castle and the historical center, there are no big shops nearby and in the evening the area seems to be quite dangerous, especially for a lonely woman. When I went outside after 20.00 some strange guys on the street started catcalling me and I didn't see any other woman going for a walk there. The only bad thing about the apartment is that the bathroom is too small, it can be problematic for a fat person to take a shower there
