• Tan (5/5): - The location was excellent, walking distance to the train station. The room is not worth the price . The reception area was hot, no aircon at all. It feels more like a 3 star hotel.
• Neil (8/5): Good, with a stand out excellent for the lady who helped me find the car. - Good location, staff don't speak English but have excellent translation software on their devices. Room was a reasonable size and functional. One staff member went well beyond any expectations helping me find my car to the airport when it couldn't get to the hotel (it's in a pedestrian area). She deserves special recognition so I hope the hotel reads their feedback! The hotel seemed to struggle to accept UK issued Mastercard for payment. My cards worked ok elsewhere so was able to pay cash. Staff seemed to struggle with the idea the problem was at their end.

• Shirlyn (6/5): Great location near Qianmen, but service hiccups, noise, and lack of family-friendly features may affect overall comfort - Located right outside Qianmen subway station, this hotel offers unbeatable convenience. Surrounded by plenty of eateries and souvenir shops, it’s also within walking distance to Tiananmen Square. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the housekeeper was responsive to adhoc requests like extra bath towels. If you choose a room with a view, you’ll be treated to a beautiful sight of Zhengyang Gate (正阳门). A great base for exploring Beijing with no shortage of food options nearby. A vibrant place to stay and be soaked in the vibes. There’s no car drop-off directly in front of the hotel. Need to alight at the main street and walk in. The hotel is a low-rise, 4-storey building, so noise from the shops and businesses downstairs can carry up, especially if you’re a light sleeper. We booked two rooms, including a Twin Room (L) with a window view. However, upon check-in, we were given a room without window. It was disappointing that we had to justify our booking and some back-and-forth before they eventually “upgraded” us to a room that should have matched our original reservation. Saw a guest smoking inside the lobby, which isn’t ideal, especially for families with young children. Additionally, there’s no ramp at the entrance, so you’ll need to lift your luggage or stroller up a 3 steps. Not a major issue, but something to be aware of.

Smaller streets have good well priced local food. People helpful. Air conditioning in room was weak. If you stay here make sure your room has windows. Ours didnt and got too warm. Shower to bathroom floor slippery my fiance got a nasty cut after falling exiting shower. Hotel responded quickly thankfully.

Lack of vehicular access. You have to walk about 200m from the drop off and pick up points regardless of the amount of luggage you have.
