- Lauren (9/5): Beautiful accommodation - The accomodation was stunning, it completely exceeded our expectations. We felt right at home in the house and looked forward to coming back to it each night. It was in the best location 5 minutes walk from the central street of Valletta. We had a minor issue with the water and the host fixed it the same day, communication was easy and responsive. We had a minor issue with no hot water in the downstairs bathroom but it was fixed the same day. When using the washing machine remember to turn off the dishwasher on the same circuit as it shorted the power in the house.

- Jessica (10/5): The place was gorgeous, really good value for money and can accommodate 7 people easily. - The location was brilliant, walking distance to the whole of Valletta. The place exceeded our expectations, it was huge and beautifully decorated and authentic. There was a filter water tap, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, plenty of towels. No human interaction with the hosts but everything we needed to know was over message. Nothing to improve upon in our experience

- Joseph (10/5): Great value for money and authenticity - It was functional while at the same time evoking a sense of Malta’s rich history. On top of that it was in a very central location but still on a pretty quiet street. Great team hosting as well!Definitely coming back!
- Neil Bourke (10/5): - The hosts were amazingly helpful and were happy to answer any questions, including offering suggestions of places to eat, park the car etc.
The place was beautiful and in an awesome location and we would highly recommend it.
- Graham (5/5): We enjoyed our stay in Valletta very much, so it is a pity that some things in the house let it down - We thought that the location was excellent and the kitchen was well supplied. The lounge/diningroom was roomy and had enough seating for 6. The rooftop area was good but access very difficult for elderly or if there had been young children. The ground floor bedroom was very damp and the dehumidifier just drained all over the entrance floor. The shower temperature controls varied and could change to cold or dangerously hot of it's own volition, the room was also dark. The top floor shower worked well but went all over the floor. In all bedrooms the pillows were really hard and uncomfortable. Noise from the adjoining apartment was intrusive at times as their conversations funnelled up the central atrium The stairs were very tricky and not suitable for children or the elderly.
- Michele (9/5): Lovely town house with lots of character, perfectly located in a wonderful city - We stayed here for 3-1/2 weeks. Location was perfect. Just a few minutes walk to anywhere in this small, walkable city. The townhouse itself had a lot of character, with the classic Maltese balcony, wooden beams, a rooftop garden, stone walls, high ceilings, etc. The living room, where we spent the bulk of our time (since we were working remotely) was very spacious, with a huge dining room table and lots of storage shelves. The bed was large and comfortable. WiFi worked great. We loved having a washer/dryer, too. You also have the ENTIRE building, which is very cool--when you come in through the front door, that is all your space and it is a three-story building! We liked that there were places to hang coats and bags on the ground floor.
Our time in the apartment was virtually all spent on the 2nd floor (3rd floor, for Americans), which had the main bedroom, the living room, the main bathroom, and the kitchen (which also had the dryer). As a practical matter, we really didn't use the rest of the space: the ground floor had 1 small bedroom and 1 large bathroom with a washing machine and the middle floor had one extra bedroom, which seemed usable, though small. There is no place to "hang out" anywhere except the top floor.
Above the main bedroom, there is a loft/study, which was OK, except the heat rose up there and it was pretty intolerable, even when the rest of the building was cold. And we were there at the wrong time of year for being outside on the rooftop deck, but it seemed like it would be nice in better weather.
We never met the manager/host in person, but he was responsive to texts. We did get to meet the owner, though, who shared lots of great information about his efforts to renovate the ancient building. And he could not have been more helpful, even bringing us a microwave when we mentioned that it would be a good addition for the kitchen.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and it worked out very well for our needs. The layout of the main floor was a bit odd, and we typically went from the kitchen through the bathroom through the bedroom to the living room/dining room (there was another route through a courtyard, but it involved doors, which wasn't great when carrying stuff). The kitchen didn't have much usable horizontal space.
While the location of the building was great, the street it is on, while very narrow, is extremely busy as it is the main road into the town. There is virtually no space between the front door and the street, so you have to be very careful when exiting.
Like other reviewers have said, the downstairs smells kind of musty, but that is typical throughout Valletta because of how the city is built.
Note that if you have mobility issues, you would have difficulty staying here since you have to climb lots of stairs within the building.
- Carmen (6/5): Great location and owners but need some installation’s inprovement - The owners were very helpful. They took care about anything we needed and asked every day.
They provided with bed sheets and extra knives when we asked for.
The location is great. The house, eventhough in three floors is really nice. The room on the ground floor was humid and the toilet there smell really bad. We moved the matress to the upper floor because we did not want to sleep under such humidity conditions…there is a dehumidifier but is not enough in april…maybe in summer is fine.
The matress from the couch bed was dirty and we decided to sleep on the couch and not on the bed.
The pillows are very high and hard.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dunn (8/5): Perfect short weekend break. House is beautiful and in a great location for exploring - The front door was a keypad, this made entering very easy, not needing to worry about a key
- Kirsty (10/5): Gorgeous - Spacious and clean, lovely decor Traffic from the harbour a bit noisy
- Beata (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic accommodation in a great location. A house 'breathing' with history, tastefully renovated and maintained. The hosts were pleasant and caring. Communication was excellent. There was wine, coffee, tea, and of course plenty of water in the fridge to welcome us. Everything was very close by. We felt very comfortable and at ease. We would gladly return here again. We only used the upper bedrooms, but if possible, it would be nice to improve the ventilation in the lower bedroom.
- June (9/5): Beautiful house in a great location - Beautiful rustic house. Great location between harbour and main shopping / restaurant area. Great communication from booking. Able to drop in luggage early on day of arrival and leave for later pick up on departure day. Lots of space in house. Kitchen has plenty of dishes / pans etc. Good air con system throughout and wifi worked well. Loved the bath and having plenty of hot water. More comments than what didn't like as thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For us layout of bedrooms worked fine but quite often I would be travelling with a friend group. Having twin beds / option to separate makes it a better choice for friends sharing. Living areas are on the 2nd floor, which is a consideration for anyone with difficulties using stairs.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - We had a wonderful time in this amazing townhouse. Wonderful architecture with subtle furnishing. Nice big bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The communication was very kind and as fast as one can imagine:-)
The townhouse is in the middle of the old town of Valletta, so everything in walking distance! The ventilation of the ground floor bedroom and bathroom could be a little better.
- Marco (10/5): Great place to stay in Valletta - Stunning property with lots of character, renovated maintaining some original features (e.g. wooden beams, window shutters, staircase). Living room and master bedroom look absolutely amazing. Service bathroom on ground floor very convenient. Air conditioning works a marvel. Host is very attentive, responsive and extremely easy to communicate with. The property was spotlessly clean. I loved spending time at this renovated historic townhouse. I could have easily spent a longer holiday at this place and would happily return.
- Lucy (9/5): Very comfortable and spacious house in the heart of Valletta - The property was very well located, very close to many cafes, restaurants and shops.
It was spacious and we liked that some of the original features had been retained. The beds were comfortable and big and the whole house was clean. The roof terrace was very big and it was great to have this outside space.
Excellent communication with the host who checked in with us several times and provided information about parking locally when we asked. It did not affect our stay as we only used the top two bedrooms, however the third bedroom and downstairs bathroom were inferior to the rest of the property (dark and smelled damp).
- Madan (8/5): Very good -
