Guest Reviews
- Toby (8/5): -
- Zico yarney (10/5): - Tidy and cosy in a perfect location. š
- DAWN (7/5): - It was peaceful and within walking distance of where I needed to be. The checking in details was easy and the apartment was clean although aspects of the apartment like the bathroom could do with an update.
- van der Walle (6/5): Good location, lovely area but property needs some TLC. - The property suited our intentions for Nottingham. An easy accessible accommodation not far from the centre of the city and a place to put up our feet and relax. We need to consider that this is a relatively old property which has a smell in accordance with its age. It strongly reminded us of a rental that needs some renovations ( cleaner carpet and definitely an updated bathroom ). The kitchen was fine but with a washing machine that has clearly seen better days ( quite rusty at the bottom ). We were concerned with discovering that an electrical wire was right next to the shower bath on the floor and in a pool of water ( particularly after a shower ). This is down right dangerous and is simply not acceptable!! We also noticed a slug trail on the carpet which was quite off putting. We also didnāt have toilet paper and informed the property owner about this. As we didnāt get an immediate reply we purchased toilet paper. The owner contacted us on the second day and offered to reimburse us is which we appreciated!
We donāt want to appear fussy and difficult but would like to suggest to the owner to perhaps go the extra mile and invest some finances in upgrading the property.

- Terence (7/5): Not quite as expected, but we coped. - The property was not quite as expected. We were a party of disabled folks and were not expecting the few steps up as we believed it to be street level. Fortunately, our wheelchair colleague stayed elsewhere so we managed. There's nothing wrong with the property, but it's not really suitable for guests like us with mobility problems.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Value for money, clean and convenient. - Walking distance to the centre.
Very good value.
Nice living room to gather and chat. Bathroom needed updating. Shower leaked onto the floor.
Kitchen appliances a bit worn.
The second bedroom was small for 2 adults. It would be more suitable for children.
Beware taking multiple cars as the parking is limited and on street parking is restricted.
- Michael (9/5): We had a great stay in Nottingham: good location; nice property; friendly and communicative hosts. - The property was in a great location for us: a really short drive into the city centre and the other Nottingham locations we wanted to visit (we probably could have walked instead, but we had some heavy luggage). The property itself met our needs and everything was clean and tidy. The hosts were really friendly and communicative: we had absolutely no issues with anything during our stay, but I'm sure they would have been responsive and helpful. I would stay here again for a future Nottingham visit, and I recommend this property and these hosts.
- Charlie (10/5): Very good - There was nothing not to really
Home from home Nothing
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional - The property is perfectly sized for a group of friends to stay with comfortable beds and a lovely living space. N/A
- Jaber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and has everything you need The power of the shower is very poor
- Darral (10/5): Exceptional - Location, hassle free, great value for money The weather
- Claire (8/5): Very good - Quiet location. Basic but good value for money. Quick response from staff who brought additional bedding, towel and crockery on request. Big pot hole in the driveway causing the car underside to scrape on exit!
- Kirby (10/5): Teething issues but otherwise excellent. - Lovely ground floor apartment in a central location. Felt very safe walking around alone after dark. Smart TV, comfortable beds. Pet friendly which I love. Good value for money. Tanya (host) was really lovely. Had to change bedrooms in the middle of the night because whoever lives upstairs snores like a train, and I'm completely deaf in one side! Fine for us as we're a couple but something to consider if using both bedrooms. You can hear everything upstairs, footsteps, talking etc, although that's no fault of the owners of the downstairs flat.
They charge a £25 pet fee which I'm not mad about, (the ad mentions charges may apply but you're not given the price until after booking) but there are old stains on the living room carpet from previous pet accidents that haven't been properly cleaned. This will and does encourage scent marking even in well trained pooches. Enzyme cleaners aren't pricey and there should be one in the cleaning cupboard really.
- Sara (8/5): Great location - Location was good with good parking Property was a bit tired, needs a few things sorting out
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful, offering a late checkout to avoid road closures due to a 10k race on checkout day Everything was perfect for our group
- Phil (3/5): Disappointing stay - Would not stay here again - Excellent location. Close to the city center and within walking distance of the castle and Maid Marion way.
Quiet location. Free parking. The place is in need of some serious investment. Everything looks tired.
The double bed was two singles pushed together with 2 single bedding on top which was paper thin (see photos)
Fridge needed cleaning on arrival and kitchen has mold on the blinds (see photos)
Carpet fraying in places (see photos)
Bent or broken blinds in bedroom (see photos)
Bathroom again needed a deep clean (see photos)
Upstairs noisy, woken up at 8am to hoovering. Would not stay here again, not worth the money.
- San (7/5): Great location. Host was very responsive. - Great location. Free parking was a bonus. Put a note on your dashboard with the address to stop you getting a parking ticket. The WiFi was sketchy. Kitchen utensils too basic...no big pots to cook in.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): We had a lovely stay and will definitely come again. We would recommend it to anyone who would like a comfortable and re - Very well placed to get into the centre of Nottingham & within walking distance of the castle, and Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem pub. (Well worth a visit.)
The apartment was immaculately clean and contains everything we needed for a weekend break. Lots of information and instructions given before we arrived and a folder available with
Wi-Fi details etc. Our only suggestion would be another couple of pictures on the walls in the lounge as they seemed a bit bare. Also, perhaps a standard lamp would improve the lighting. This is, however, nit-picking!
- Sanches (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (9/5): Superb - Good location - In a quiet part of the city near to the castle.
- Ann (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, peaceful neighbourhood. Appliances all good, excellent Wi fi Decoration very basic
- Carla (7/5): Comfortable stay. - Very good location and spacious.
- Iain (8/5): Comfortable stay in a peaceful well kept area just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. - Very peaceful and well looked after area just 5 minutes walk to canal-side bars and 10 minute walk to city centre. Although the rooms were fairly basic, they were comfortable and ideal for a short stay. Missing plugs in the sinks which I reported to the landlord.
- Asgeir (9/5): A cozy spot for a holiday in Nottingham - We loved the area the flat is in, a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. It is within walking distance to the city centre and the Nottingham castle is right around the corner. The parking is a bit confusing, we got a parking ticket even though the host said parking was free, because of the confusing community rules.
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect apartment for a no hassle city stay! - Myself and my family stayed here for Ice Hockey Playoffs, location is perfect for Nottingham Arena just a short 20 ish min walk. directions were great, correspondence was great from initial booking to the day of arrival. We were kept informed of everything and the guide provided was really useful and clear. Apartment was spotless and had everything we needed! My teenage son was a huge fan of the TV and Netflix! Surrounding area nice and quiet and parking space is a great bonus. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking again!
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great time here. Everything went smoothly and the place was very clean with a big TV which pleased the kids. Driveway a little tricky to negotiate
- Alec (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (8/5): Very good - Overall a nice property in a good area with all the amenities you would need. The host was excellent at responding to and resolving any questions and issues. - The heating wasn't working when we arrived. However, the host quickly sent someone to fix it within a few hours.
- The cooker hob extractor fan doesn't work that well; we had to open the door to air out the kitchen when cooking.
- The tumble dryer vented to a small dehumidifier box which didn't work too well and made the kitchen super humid. Adding ice helped a little bit, but venting outside would be much better for the room.
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neil (9/5): Superb - Very homely place everything you need supplied.
Close to shopping centre and pubs etc. Owners kept in touch throughout our stay. Street lighting wasn't the best probably best to take a torch for walking into town at night. But that's just the area in which it's situated.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Fabulous flat. - Nice quiet location but best of all was the the way and style of the decor and furniture...even a christmas tree!! Pukka šš» X
- Kimberley (10/5): Exceptional - Cute apartment, very tidy, spacious. Perfect for a weekend away
- Suk (9/5): Superb - Privacy!
I got full instructions for check in before arrival.
Just like I'm home.
- Nicole (9/5): Nice flat, fab location with free parking! - Great location. Super easy to walk into town - only 5/10minutes. Parking was ok once we had worked it out ⦠park out the back in the lane by the garden (if thereās room) or out front (if thereās not), but itās necessary to leave a note in the windscreen saying that youāre visiting the property. Very quiet location. Very safe area although street lighting is dim, when walking but this was not a problem for us. Some noise from upstairs in the morning on the second day, but thatās maybe to be expected in a ground floor flat. Rooms spacious. Kitchen has all the basics you need. Back bedroom was musty and smelt of damp, but this may just be a problem common in the local area. Dehumidifier gel collection tubs were in place and I think it would not be a problem for most of the year - we have had excessive rain recently (autumn 2022). Also in summer/spring, open windows would air the whole flat.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Sidone (8/5): Nice place for a base to travel around. - The apartment was a nice little place. Bedrooms a nice size. Kitchen is equipped with everything a home would have, including washing machine & dryer (we didn't need to use those 2).
We stayed here because my partner had a weekend tournament at Warhammer World. Didn't realise how close it was in reality to the place. He walked 'home' both nights, it took about 20 minutes.
One of my lads is at 1 of the Universities so had a catch up with him too. (We're from 90miles away).
Its on the on the doorstep of the castle and the city centre not needing to drive there unless you really need to. I didn't know how often a cleaner pops round between guests, it was clean, it was just a bit cobwebby in places with those little skinny spiders dangling down between the bedside drawers and other cooler darker places. Luckily I work in a converted church hall so I'm used to seeing these types of spiders on a weekly basis. But someone with a more nervous out disposition may not have coped well.
Can I also suggest a long runner type door mat in the doorway on entrance for those wet rainy days.
We always took our shoes off on entry but it still left the kitchen floor soggy (forgot our slippers, soggy socks aren't a great feeling)
With regards to the entry door, maybe make it more clear on the description which colour door to use, we struggled to open the key lockdox because it was the wrong one. The lady on the telephone was helpful enough and guided us to the other entrance.
The window blinds weren't very private in the bedroom, had to make sure they were positioned just right š
Also had trouble with the bathroom and kitchen blinds not being able to lift and drop them properly.
I have stayed it other places for a cheaper weekend rate but this is a prime location so the price is reflected in that.
- Megan (6/5): fair for the price - good location and had everything you needed was very cheaply decorated, there was food left in the fridge from previous guests, blinds in bedroom werenāt the best
