Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect retreat weekend. - Excellent facilities and nice, quiet location. Julia made sure we were welcome, from initial messages through booking.com, and then in person when we arrived. The cottage had everything we needed, was clean, and to a high standard that made our anniversary special. We planned to take our dogs, and pets are completely welcome. We would recommend this retreat to all, and we hope to be able to visit again in the future. Nothing.
- Robert (8/5): - Hot tub WiFi location privacy TV channels. I think a Freely TV by Hisense would make a difference. You can get bbc1 Itv etc live without an aerial. Good for Corry and Emmerdale for Mrs and news for me.
- Tom (9/5): -
- Louise (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): -
- Emilia (10/5): Lovely place to stay definitely will come back -
- Steven (9/5): We enjoyed the landscapes and peace and quiet, chilled out with a few long walks in between - The remote location and peaceful setting
- Bradfield (9/5): It is a great place to go and relax has Netflix on the TV the local pub serves lovely meals and you can take your dog. - It was remote and private. Had a fence around the property so the dog could not escape. The hot tub was good.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Perfect romantic stay, the hot tub was heated and ready to hop in, great location for other towns, heated towel rack was handy and had good mirrors and plugs for getting ready, great parking space and host made entering simple so we could just walk right in Tough final road to drive up if you pass anyone and I wish the grill position was switched with the microwave
- sean (10/5): Fantastic and I would 100% stay again! - Nice and cosy as it states, segregated away from other properties so it feels nice and secluded. Trying to find it was a little difficult. Other than that I don’t have anything bad to say about it!
- Ben (8/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Perfect relaxation - The cute cottage is charming beautifully
decorated in a quiet serene garden with its own private enclosure and a fabulous, hot tub. M/A
- Paul (10/5): -
- Emma (9/5): Lovely. Relaxing. Warm. A perfect getaway for two. - Cosy, romantic. Beautiful location. Just as advertised.
- Dean (10/5): Exactly what it explains but a lot better - Everything Nothing
- Caroline (7/5): - Very quiet and cozy. Loved the hot tub Pillows weren't very good. We weren't able to get main channels on TV only Netflix.
- carina (8/5): Beautiful setting abd lovely retreat. - Hot tub and peaceful location The flagstones were very uneven.
- Adam (10/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Phoebe (10/5): Lovely, beautiful stay - It was lovely, the privacy was great and the board games were so fun when spending time together I can’t really say as i enjoyed all
- Geraldine (10/5): - Amazing little place . Soooo exceptionally secluded and self-contained! Which was what we appreciated, the most & It lived up to its name. 'COSY' Cottage!! .. it was so quirky, and also, although Tiny' is was adequate for a couple ( and our little Westie !!) for a romantic chilled out little break from......Everything & everyone!!
We would consider a revisit to the venue which is in our favourite beautiful area .of Barmouth.
All the facilities there are ideal and contemporary!!
You can be sure this is an ideal little Cottage for the lovely experience of ... seclusion & privacy....guaranteed!!
From 2 very hapoy 'guests' ..Gerri & Tony 👍😉💯💯💯 recommended 👌 Nothing g to report about..dislikes. was all it proffered to be & an ideal little venue...!!
- Michael (10/5): Very private and lovely Handy for Barmouth and Morfa Dyffry. - Very cute and cosy. As described. And they provided everything. I particularly liked the bath robes.
Private garden area with hot tub. View of empty meadow. Complete silence. Pretty small. But as expected. You could get a beer from the SMEG fridge without getting out of bed!
- Robin (10/5): Nice place to B&B! - Nice space, friendly hosts, everything worked, nice evening. Hosts were happy to get us more wood as we really enjoyed sitting out by a fire. Directions were very good and accurate, but the narrow lane was a little challenging to drive.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect distance for the beach plus hillside/waterfall walks.
It was quiet and serene. Facilities were amazing. Gravel around the hot tub.... should have brought flip flops..... still perfect!
- Ionut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haley (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (10/5): Excellent host, property and location - Quiet and welcoming. Everything you need for a lovely romantic break. The hot tub was our favourite but the cosy cottage was lovely too Could not fault anything
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin was lovely everything you need for a weekend! Loved how the dog could have freedom as it is completely enclosed. The very narrow road up to the cabin. Would be a dangerous walk to the town however order a local taxi which was great.
- Wendy (10/5): Cosy romantic remote retreat with a hot tub - exactly as the description says! - We loved the location (beautiful and quiet) As per the description it’s a good 20 min steep walk uphill from the village so ideal for fit and active folk unless you want to drive. Perfect for our teeny dogs too as the garden is self contained. Loved the hot tub (we turned it down from 40 degrees to 37.5 otherwise we’d only last a few minutes in it!)
Well stocked facilities kitchen wise, comfy bed, great shower. We had a great 2 day break. Great directions and walk suggestions. Excellent communication from owner. Minor suggestion - a chromecast for the TV would be an extra selling point.
Value for money - expensive for a 2 night stay despite excellent facilities this one is priced on the higher side.
- Ashish (5/5): Passable -
- Ffion (10/5): Very greatful Thankyou very much perfect place to do my laptop work for my academy absolute bliss 🫶 - Lovelly location very tranquil I can’t wait to stay again here Thankyou :) Everything fantastic
- Mark (9/5): A lovely cottage, perfect for a short break. - The cottage was smaller than expected, however, it was clean and with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom areas had a generous amount of supplies. The place was warm with underfloor heating and the hot tub was a nice area to relax in at the end of the day. The road to the property was quite steep and narrow with not many passing points. I did worry in case I encountered an oncoming vehicle. We could not get the TV to work and the wi-fi did not work most of the time but in some ways it was nice to be cut off from technology for a while!
- Weraweronka (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely. Great place to stay. All you need is there. Highly recommended.
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Hot tub and private courtyard. Room was comfortable just very compact. It's cute though and decorated well. Heating was on but it never felt warm. Accommodation is up a very narrow lane. Not a desirable walk in the dark to the pub! Noisy fridge if you're a light sleeper!
- Wesley (9/5): Comfortable - Clean & private N/A
- Bradfield (9/5): Absolutely beautiful - Beautiful location well equipped, very cozy , lovely hot tub, Private
- Charlie (10/5): A beautiful, secluded place - Really beautiful location and house, hidden away but still close enough to everything. The annexe itself was adorable and very comfortable, while still being a little bit hard-wearing for dogs etc. Absolutely lovely hot tub and chiminea on the patio, lots of room to run the dog. Highly recommended. All good!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Excellent stay, we didn't need the host, as everything was excellent. Lovely place. We will come again.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Karl (10/5): Would definitely book again - The cottage was very secluded (except for the host house obviously). Hot tub was excellent and we were lucky to have clear skies at night to sit out under the stars. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. WiFi and Netflix worked great. Julia put up Happy Birthday bunting for my other half ahead of our arrival which was a really thoughtful gesture! Also, really good communications from the host ahead of our stay which was really helpful. The cottage is slightly smaller than the pics suggest - not an issue by any means but we're not a small couple :-D
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Stunning setting and a beautiful private location - Beautiful setting, very peaceful and picturesque. Loved our stay, thank you for having us
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (9/5): Cosy, secluded cottage. - The cosy cottage was definitely cosy. Well equipped, good shower, plenty of hot water, a comfy bed, nice kitchen area. Super jacuzzi and outdoor area. Very private. Dog friendly. TV, satellite signal wasn't consistent enough to watch TV. Not a problem streamed from my tablet.
- Reid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenna (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous - a well needed break for us both. Very grateful to the hosts for making us so welcome. - Great location, we really enjoyed the hot tub, so quiet and tranquil. A perfect place for a romantic break. No curtains or blinds in the bathroom (but not a huge issue as it was so secluded)
- Chokaldakov (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - We love the location and it’s beautiful interior Nothing
- John (10/5): A very cosy comfortable stay with hot tub and plenty of places to visit nearby. - It is very cosy, although compact there is under floor heating which makes it warm and comfortable. There is a great hot tub and the host provides extra towels for this. Although the location is a short drive up a very narrow road it is very quiet and rural which is really nice. There are several beaches nearby to visit with the one at Tal y bont dog friendly. We visited Harlech Castle and had a lovely snack and drinks at a cafe nearby. We had fish and chips at Barmouth and went on a few expeditions in the car getting a bit lost but found some really nice walks. If you want to eat at the sea food restaurant called Norbar then book a week in advance as we went there and it was fully booked up as it has a great reputation. Close to the location there are two pubs within walking distance and we had a nice meal at the Hafan Artro. The TV in the property has Netflix although we did not use it but the Wifi is strong and secure. The bed is really comfortable and the ensuite is very modern looking. The weather (as it rained a bit), however the places to visit and the accommodation more than made up for it.
- Tilston (10/5): Highly recommend - Beautiful setting and very welcoming, accommodating host. Would love to book again if we revisit the area.
