Guest Reviews
- Alexandra (5/5): -
- Paul (1/5): Not nice - Nothing, as stated horrible stench to property and bed had bed bugs
- Corey (1/5): Will never stay here again - The area was nice but the caravan was appalling There was no bedding no toilet roll it smelt of pets and cigarettes. Toilet was not clean. Windows would not open absolutely appalling.
- Creighton (3/5): - The arcade was great and the sandpiper restaurant was nice food and staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and a corner shop was in walking distance of the camp. Booked to go palins holiday camp and got a message from the private owner a week before going to say I needed to pay a £100 damage deposit and take own bedding, I paid the deposit the day of arrival and received a message to say the caravan I was staying in was at golden sands holiday camp and on arrival I had to pay £25 for use of the park and there was charges if I wanted to use the WiFi. When I got to the caravan it was not very clean lots of stains on the curtains and sofas, ripped pillows, broken items taped together etc. I booked this holiday for my granddaughters 13th birthday and she had been excited to get to the caravan that I'd shown her from the booking, not the one on a different site that we had to clean and sort out before we could rest after a long day of traveling. It wasn't what I expected or paid for.
- gavin (10/5): - We liked this caravan as its close to the market and fair N/a
- Carla (7/5): -
- Cameron (1/5): - Never stayed one night disgusting still waiting for my money back
- Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional - The caravan was clean and perfect for me and my kids, they enjoyed every part of their stay. Definitely will be back. Nothing to say as everything was great.
- Collette (3/5): Poor - The site itself was great 👍 I've logged a complaint with customer service, and I'm waiting for a deposit of 100 pounds, too. Disappointed, there weren't toiletries, toilet paper, towels and linen. Why do the owners need 100 pounds after booking for very little work and effort?
- Tommy (7/5): Good -
- John (5/5): Passable -
- Mihai (1/5): Bad -
- Valerie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rochelle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely caravan, everything you needed, excellent value for
Money
- Reynolds (8/5): Very good - Was convenient for bus services and the club onsite was literally a stone thrown away from the door and the caravan had plenty of space for 5 people One of the boys had to sleep on the sofa as the sofabed hadn't been cleaned and the main bed hadn't been cleaned also an still had food and bits all over both apart from that was what you expect
- Carla (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (1/5): First and last never again. - The location was good for children and families the shower was the best thing there it was hot and powerful. Most unclean place I’ve ever had to sleep in never mind allow my children in. It smelt horrific the mattresses and duvet covers were rotten and stained it was horrific can’t believe they allow people to rent it in this condition
- Jacques (8/5): Very good -
- Joanne (1/5): rubbish caravan - location was really good caravan owners attitude tried in on , mattress stunk off wee in the twin room
- Leann (9/5): Relaxing - The location was nice I don't know
- Rachael (10/5): Very good, and happy the owners communicated clearly with me and I would recommend. - Clean and homely Bits of damage
- Maddie (10/5): Exceptional - We really loved the swimming pool
Inside was super cosy and water was really warm. Caravan was clean and had all needed utensils. In the area was many place to eat and entertain.
- Jasbir (1/5): Bad - Nothing The caravan we booked at plains was cancelled and we was given an alternative across the road was so dirty and appalling
- James (2/5): Very poor -
- Craig (1/5): Bad -
- Anneka (8/5): Last minute savour - We were really thankful to have such good and quick communication with the owners after booking last minute. The caravan had everything we needed as a family of 4. The staff at the site were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the critters night in the entertainment and swimming. The only things I would suggest, which would increase the rating from good to excellent would be changing the mattresses so they were more comfortable and updating the pillows and duvets.
- Neil (8/5): Lively site - Great for the kids and loads going on even in the bad weather Exactly what it said on the description
- Jonathan (7/5): Pleasant stay with all the amenities we needed - Pleasant stay, all we needed for a good weekend. Double bed not very comfortable.
- Nathan (1/5): The caravan was worn out and dirty, concrete beds, blood on the bedding and used thongs in the beds, - The caravan was worn out and dirty, concrete beds, blood on the bedding and used thongs in the beds, vinyl flooring is bumpy and ripped, doors have holes smashed in them, remotes don’t even have batteries in them. Would not recommend especially as this property is very expensive compared to others The caravan was worn out and dirty, concrete beds, blood on the bedding and used thongs in the beds, vinyl flooring is bumpy and ripped, doors have holes smashed in them, remotes don’t even have batteries in them. - King (10/5): Exceptional - The area was great alot of activity to do for the kid to keep them busy
- Gary (9/5): Late booking - Booked at short notice , & in evening. Owner phoned me quickly, explaining how he'd pre warned security, so they were expecting me. Nothing
- Davies (1/5): Bad -
- Lucy (8/5): Good clean and basic - Location was great and after being scammed from a different person when we booked I was wary of sending over the deposit without being in the property the owner came and met us and let us view before we had to send a deposit lovely owners and really appreciated it after a long day Need own bed linen should be included in the price
- Jennifer (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Fantastic facility on the site Everything was so close by
- Piort (8/5): Very good - a good place to relax.close to all holiday attractions
- Pratibha (6/5): Pleasent stay - It will if have bed cover and Dover cover. Pillow need wash.
Except that it pleasant to stay. Asda in walking distance, fish and chips walk able.
Lots of children fun things around
Need to pay indoor swimming Bed cover not available and pillows was dirty
- Lisa (1/5): Seen cleaner pig pens! Save your dosh and go pontins instead - Only good thing was the location as it isn't far from the entertainment facilities. Everything! Where shall I start? Caravan 98 is worse than pontins and that's saying something. If you like staying in a pig sty then save your cash and pay for pontins Prestatyn instead.
Extensive list of what we DIDN'T LIKE:
GLASS TABLE UNSAFE AND SLIDES RIGHT OFF THE BASE
DIRTY, OLD BEDS. I DREAD TO THINK WHATS BEEN IN THEM
FLOORING RIPPED AND COMING AWAY ALL THROUGHOUT
DIRTY FLOORS
DIRTY WORKTOPS
DIRTY CROCKERY AND CUTLERY
BAKING TRAYS STILL HAD STINKY GREASE ON THEM IN COOKER
FRIDGE DIDN'T HOLD A COLD TEMP
TV SIGNAL INTERMITTENT THE ARIEL IS FACING WRONG DIRECTION
BATHROOM DOORS HAVE MASSIVE HOLES ON BOTH SIDES
VENEER COMING OFF CUPBOARD DOORS
RUBBISH FOUND ON WARDROBES, UNDER SINGLE BEDS AND IN BETWEEN SOFA CUSHIONS (INCLUDING A LIGHTER AND DIRTY TOOTHBRUSH)
WINDOWS GRUBBY
GAPS IN WINDOW FRAMES WHEN CLOSED
BARE WIRES UNINSULATED ON RADIATOR WHICH IS JUST LYING ON THE FLOOR IN MAIN BEDROOM
WHEN ALL ELECTRICAL HEATERS ARE ON (IT WAS COOL LAST NIGHT) IT TRIPPED FUSE BOX, WHICH IS OUTSIDE
PUBIC HAIRS ON SHOWER BASE
STAINS ON CUSHION COVERS ON SOFA
It's now cleaner that when we arrived
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah-jane (10/5): Great value for money - Caravan was basic but perfect for a base and in a great location. Small shop and chippy on site and short walk to beach, fun fair and pubs and restaurants. Caravans are very close together so not much privacy. Matreses on single beds could do with replacing as could feel all the springs and the duvets were plastic so very noisy and sweaty so kids didn't sleep very well. Double bed was good though.
- Peter (1/5): Absolutely disgusting avoid this caravan - The caravan was disgusting the curtains were hanging of it was filthy the bathroom stunk of damp the mattress on the bed springs was coming through the mattress protector on double bed full of stains i paid over £400 for 3 nights ive stayed in better for cheaper no hoover in the van the single quilts were plastic the lino was coming up gaps in the windows which was dirty the glass table not safe
- Deborah (5/5): The stay was basic the carvan needs some tlc.and yes if that happened would go back - The staff on complex was nice and where the caravan was. The people who owned the caravan had put extras in to make homely . Wasnt happy that no bedding and had to pay extra was told by owner i would be reimbursed . When making beds the double bed needs mattress and topper need replacing plus quilt . Pull out bed dirty underneath and had to put quilt on to make thicker.i turned heater on in living room it had to turn of smelt .the caravan just needs a deep clean and attention spend abiut 600.00 on it .
- Norma (5/5): Passable - Great location good sized caravan and had everything u needed. Holes in doors and flooring, bits of skirting boards hanging off. Soaking wet and smelly shower mat.
The flattest pillows and the most uncomfortable lumpy beds :( 3 out of 4 of us had to sleep on the sofas and after paying over £100 a night think this is unacceptable :(
- David (3/5): never again - the park it’s self was like any other caravan park pool and park for kids and arcade as usual bedroom light didn’t work half the sockets didn’t work
it was half of job that the cleaner had done things where still dirty beds where rubbish no pillows for all of use caravan 98 Palins kinmel bay worse stay ever no fans in there no aircon in this heat wave 🤬
- Boyle (9/5): Superb -
- Mariusz (1/5): Bad - I have never encountered such a dirty and neglected facility
- Darcy (9/5): Superb -
