• christine (1/5): - This was a failed booking. No communication from the property. I was unable to get details if the location. Booking.com were not helpful. My plans for attending a wedding were spoilt. I had to remake plans and had no time to find alternative accommodation. I think this property does not exist and is a scam. This needs investigation and removal from Booking.com. I will be watching for this. Disappointed and disgusted.
• Brianna (1/5): Racist Host! Left me and my baby stranded for 6 hours!!! - NOTHING AT ALL!!! Didn’t even get to stay or go to the property even though I paid for everything UP FRONT & IN FULL!!! RACIST HOST! Never in all my years have I had an issue or problem when booking a hotel or house to stay in! This time was soo much worse. Firstly from the time I booked and then read the reviews I regret even booking with these people! Secondly from Monday 25th - Saturday 30th I asked for a 12pm check in (if they could..giving them enough notice), the information needed to get to the property and code for lock box as we were travelling down from a 3 1/2 hour drive with a BABY!! And wanted everything in place so we can just check in drop our bags off and do what we needed to do. They then asked for all 4 ID’s for the adults which again I have booked the same thing with other hosts and never had to do anything like this. Especially not for ONE night when I have stayed at others for up to a week. I was more than happy to give mine as it’s under MY NAME & my responsibility IF anything was going to happen. Still no response! The booking states on the day of arrival I would be sent all the details and still waiting for them! After seeing my ID and seeing that I was a black female that was it! No response or messages / calls was going through after that…they had blocked me!!! After 2pm I sent a message on the number they sent and messages through Booking.com saying we are at a service station waiting for the address FOUR HOURS GO BY AND NOTHING!!!!!! My poor 7 month old baby has to wait on a motorway service station for hours getting restless and tired. The bottles needed washing and sterilising as she used them all up waiting for these people. My three other travellers also getting annoyed and frustrated we was driving for over 2 hours then waiting for another 4! Then at 8pm the host then cancelled our booking and had to find a last minute place to stay and travelled even further! Disgusting behaviour from these people but happy to take my money!! I WANT A FULL REFUND AND THEIR PROPERTY REMOVED FROM BOOKING.COM TO STOP SOMEONE ELSE GOING THROUGH WHAT WE HAD...

• Jessica (1/5): DO NOT BOOK!! DISGUSTING!!! - Nothing was good Where to start, trying to find the place. The booking place puts you to a random old man that is sick of people knocking and the owner took multiple messages to just send bloody door number! Have to say the very worse part of staying here is the owner ignores any messages set to them. I have tried texting, ringing and messaging in booking app all ignored! Not one message back to resolve any issues we have, disgusted!! Not even booking.com can get in touch and have started an investigation into them. Now just to list issues on the place and going fully into it would be 10,000 word essay! 1. Floors are trip hazard, uneven throughout. 2. Fire safety issue as smoke alarm as dust cover over. (Too high to remove by myself) 3. Shower been leaking through ceiling since December 2024 still not fixed. 4. Floors not hoovered. 5. Floors have never been mopped, so bad that my autistic child was triggered and will not walk around without shoes on. 6. Benches dirty. 7. Cups not clean, one looked like someone had spat into it. 8. Grill not clean. 9. Bath had pubic hair in. 10. Showers dirty soap suds all over. 11. What looks like poop stuck on stairs. 12. Fridge dirty 13 washing machine stinks. 14. Garden a mess. 15. Lights hanging out ceiling. 16. No cupboard or drawers in upstairs room. 17. Cupboards and drawers downstairs dirty and broken, some dont even open. 18. Not a single mirror in the place. 19. No drying rack, dryer or washing line. 20. Melted chocolate stars in kitchen draw. 21. Mold in downstairs shower, the bathroom makes whole downstairs smell like mildew. 22. Some tiles in downstairs bathroom look like they are about to fall off. 23. Both upstairs and downstairs toilet seats loose. 24. Kitchen kick board hanging off. 25. Outside chairs dirty. 26. Inside bins not empty. 27. Downstairs toilet door not lock. 28. Rear doors sticking and hard to open. 29. Bed sheets cleaned but stained. 30. Random metal bar hanging out of cooker extractor. 31.
• Allison (9/5): Despite the above points, our 13 hour stay was good. - Clean, light and airy. Large living/kitchen. I was told there would be tea, coffee and sugar available. There was about 1tsp stale coffee stuck on the bottom of the canister. There was 1 pint of milk dated 8th June (on 25th) that had turned to curds and whey. When someone had a shower upstairs, the water was running through the ceiling into the downstairs shower. There was no toilet paper (lucky I brought a roll!) No curtains/blinds in lounge/kitchen land no velux blinds on roof light windows in loft room. Broken bedside light in loft room. Crockery cupboard too high to reach without climbing on a chair, unless very tall.
• Catherine (3/5): Unprepared for our visit as if they had just started the washing - A very spacious property, kitchen well equipped Convenient for Chelmsford Beds were very firm so took some getting used to. All bedding not clean, my duvet cover had some blood drips on (discovered too late in daylight!) and no pillow protectors another bed had no pillowcases but had make up on pillow protectors. Other bedding (maybe clean??!) stuffed in the only wardrobe there. Upstairs bedroom has only one bedside cabinet for storage for two people. Floors not cleaned Shower upstairs had hair in plughole and was leaking Settee not vacuumed Leaking boiler with bucket about to overflow on arrival) and upstairs shower leaking Washing left in washing machine 3 bathtowels and one hand towel for 4 people. Grass not cut about 30cm high. No washing line. The washing machine (we finished it for them sounded like a plane taking off. Outside area left unusable as if the builders had just left -the front paved area had a digger end left thereand there were houses being built across the road? No answer from the phone number given. No communication about access until email around 8pm night before after 3 voicemails left. The lockbox number given at 9.30 am by email on day after our departure. Other washed bedding left on kitchen floor. No blinds to Velux windows The only mirror in entire property is on the wardrobe SENT BECAUSE ALTHOUGH VERY SAD TO REPORT YOU NAGGED FOR A REVIEW IT COUKD HAVE EASILY BEEN GREAT!
• Shawn (2/5): Very poor in every way!!! - I received an email while on my 5 hour drive to get to the propoerty asking for photo ID, which I had to wait until all guests arrived to take photgraphs. There is no reason why this couldn't have been requested 24-48 hours prior. We didn't receive the keydoce until after the requested check-in time even though I tried messaging and calling the number provided and left messages (if you leave a number answer it on checkin day/time). The code didn't work! I tried calling and messaging with long durations between answers. I had anotehr two codes sent which I had to travel many 20 - 30 mins each way to try, and I was planning to spend the day with family which didn't happen. The host only proposed meeting me at around 22:00 and never turned up the final code I was provided managed to work and we eventually got into the propoerty at 22:30. The host never arrived! I was travelling with a pregnant woman who was very tired and had to sit on the floor outside to property until we finally managed to get in. When we did get in the bedding seemed dirty and look they had been slept in, the shower smelt and looked dirty, there was urine in the toilet and a out of date bottle of milk in the fridge that had separated and congealed. The whole experience was not good, and I would note recommend this to anyone travelling to the area.

• Ian (4/5): We were really happy to find the property in a good location with great off street parking & a property that was rea - Good size property It wasn’t particularly clean. Bathroom drain was blocked, causing the house to smell.
• Leia (4/5): Basic and functional but needs some attention - Very large property with plenty of space and dedicated parking. Enclosed garden. Easily accessible location. Keys collected from a lock box outside the property which made it easier after getting stuck in traffic and arriving later than expected! So much missed potential! The accommodation was surprisingly basic with very little furniture or home comforts. 3 double bedrooms, so room to sleep 6, but table and seating area only accommodate 4. Both showers were blocked with limescale and leaked out of the shower area/tray resulting in extremely soaked floors. Not helped by only being provided with one bath towel and one hand towel in 2 out of 3 rooms - so not even enough towels for the number of guests. Kitchen was disorganised with tableware and cutlery mismatched and spread across multiple locations. Bedroom upstairs has no wardrobe or hanging rail for clothes. All in all it could just do with some TLC! Also only received email with full address and code to lock box when we were already on our way - would have expected this at least 24hrs prior.
